The last door to come hurts. It makes him turn away but there is no where to turn too. There is no other colored doors. No other balanced lifestyle dreams. No where to hide.
Alex doesn't want to end like this. The touch of the doorknob floods him with true memories. True events. The Apartments. Board games with Brie and October.
Kissing Brie on the cheek, watching her, terrified run off. Seeing her only again when October had turned. The infection. Sleeping. Waking. Dreams. What was the answer?
He loses the body, but gains too much of a mind. Many among one. One among many. He had a name once. He doesn't no more.
He fights though, there is another. It calls to him. It tears at him. He is not vessel. He is not virus. He is not this creation. He is not creation.
He was freed. <******** you Virus!" Alex flipped the bird...mentally. He had no real body to go back too and he moves to take it back again. He see's the vines encompassing something and he moves. Perhaps its the red hair? The sense of need? He goes. He flies and when he comes to..
"It's not." He looks down but knows. He's seen her once though, she had helped him. She didn't deserve this and brushed the vines back. She was smaller. So much smaller. He takes her down the stairs with the shadows. He knows they are for her.
He leaves her.
"Thanks kid." He wants to brush her hair but leaves again. Back to where he goes. His memories come full and then he is Alex again.
He still has time.
"Don't worry friends." Alex said cheerfully, "We'll win this game won't we?"
