Brie would find a pair of very large hands, placed over her maroonish colored hair and bright blue eyes.
"Move like I say or bad things will happen Brie!" He whispered, as he nudged the girl towards the staircases.
"Don't scream though! Cause then you'll freak everyone out and you don't want that!" Not during an zombie event such as this!

Brie was minding her own business when everything suddenly went dark, and a pair of large hands covered her view. Without waiting for him to finish, her immediate response was a loud squeak of terror, followed by the flailing of her arms, which may or may not have hit Alex in the process.
"A-Alex? Is that you? Don't scare me like that!" Of course, taking someone by surprise wasn't exactly the best thing to do during a zombie apocalypse either.
"And why are you whispering?" She asked, lowering voice to a whisper as well.

They did in fact hit Alex but, A little arm flailing was nothing in his line of duty! He had expect a swift kick or slam of foot on his own. Since Brie did neither of those things, he just kept them moving.
"I found something really awesome and I don't want anyone else to see!" He kept his hand over her eyes but managed to guide her up the stairs. It was a couple of flights...or ten but eventually they'd make it to the very top of the apartment complex.
"Okay...Okay hold on..." He was breathing heavily in her ear, but mostly cause he was hella out of breath like stairs man, the enemies of traveling and his respiratory system..."Ready....TA DAH!!" He let his hands fall, only to slap on his waist.
"ITS THE ROOF!"

"Does this include me?" She asked, pawing at the hands which covered her eyes, before quickly outstretching them to feel around as he moved them both up the stairs. "This would be a lot easier and faster if you let me see!" Not to mention, not being able to see where you were going is terrifying. Hopefully there were no areas for sudden drops. If that wasn't enough, the heavy breathing in her ear was uncomfortable.
By the time they had reached the top, she had finally given in to trying to walk on her own, but was all the more relieved when he dropped his hands from obscuring her view. Wincing at the sudden brightness, Brie rubbed at her eyes, squinting.
The roof.
In all her time here, she had not once ventured up to the top of the building, but in all honesty, she was glad that Alex had brought her here.
"Whoa..!" Maybe this is where she needed to start hanging out each the day.. the view was incredible! Well, as long as you didn't glance down at all the dead littering the streets.

"Isn't it the coolest!" He grinned as he joined her and headed to the edge of the building, put his foot on the cement railing.
"We can see anything beyond the city..." He waved his hands out.
But that wasn't what he really brought her here for. Up above their heads was a oddly clearer night then there most often dull gray and he pointed up.
"Miss the stars sometimes you know?"

Nodding in agreement, Brie followed Alex over to the railing, peering over it in awe. How could anyone be scared of such heights? Being able to see everything from up here--it was amazing! Sure, if you fell, that would be a different story.
"It'd be useful to view routes from up here as well." She added, eyeing all the paths one could take. Might come in handy for her next scavenger run as well.
Not having clued in to the reason for being brought to the roof, she cast him a glance then turned her gaze upwards when she realized where his attention was.
Having been used to being out mostly during the day, it was funny to think she had completely forgotten about how good the view was at night.
"Mmhmm." Stretching her hands upwards, Brie made a grab like motion towards the stars, soon dropping her hands back to her sides. "At least this is one thing that can't be taken." She added, shooting Alex a small smile.
