Tonight was security night and Alex was excited! As he was a former police officer, he felt the most comfortable in keeping the peace or keeping people out.
And the apartments had a collective group he liked. He didn't like anyone else.
So he shifted in his spot and adjusted his hoodie, staring at the deep darkside.
"Okay Rajpuu and Fantastic baby, Are we going to have so much fun tonight?"

Rajni was admittedly glad to have the cop with them. She could patch up holes until the cows came home, but when it came to doing damage she was no better than the average Jane.
The nickname made her cringe a little, but she didn't say anything. She gave a noncommittal grunt to his question and looked to the darkness. Rajni was a girl of few words.

Fantasia, who did not really look or feel fantastic that night, blinked owlishly. "Fun?" she echoed, baffled by the very idea. It was just them watching the cams all night, that hardly sounded exciting...
Unless. Unless...Two girls, one cop??

Rajni definitely had no ******** to give about the person without a keycard. No card, no entry. She wasn't here to play in grey areas and exceptions. That got infected people inside.
It wasn't to say she didn't have patience; quite the opposite really. She wasn't trigger happy, she would give them time to find their key card if that was what was needed. There was just no way in hell she was going to let them in without it.
She crossed her arms. Being somewhat average in height she wasn't really intimidating, but she was resolute and that had to count for something. Fanta and Alex could handle being the muscle. She would just stand there looking displeased.

Much in the same boat as Rajni, Fantasia wasn't a fan of letting strangers in. Even beyond someone who didn't have a card, just the idea of letting an outsider come in...Brr. A part of her might have been more sympathetic--what if she went out one day and couldn't find her card, after all--but in the end, a month had taught her that softness wasn't allowed. Or at least, looking to Rajni so often, she didn't think so.
Her softness was contained into moments of personal weakness, but never on the job. There, Fantasia was five feet of lean muscle and a remote, dark stare trained on the poor soul. Not that it hurt that they had a cop with them.

Unlike the girls, Alex was a face of bright smiles and wide eyes.
"Oh you forgot it?" He exclaimed, playing, essentially the good cop for this one. "That's too bad. We'll let you in if you find it you know? Sorry, we can't do more for that. Yeah if you find it, you can come back in!" His arms crossed and beyond the smile was a hint of just...enough to send the person away.
"Man, talk about a scheme! What do they think we are? Idiots?" He laughed patting both of the girl's backs and leaning back on the wall.
"I wonder if they came from another district...." Or were infected...hmmm.

Rajni nodded along with what Alex was saying. Positivity was good. She was just too quiet to be the one talking. Follower, not leader.
"I hope not," Rajni said to both assertions. Outsiders were bad news.
The person disappeared and returned waving a key energetically about twenty minutes later. Most of that time, Rajni had spent with her book cracked open, not really paying attention like she should have been perhaps.
When he came with the card key, Rajni looked it over and nodded. It was the correct key. They couldn't deny that. "And your umbrella?"

"Probably." They all knew better than to lose their stuff, right? And she knew there was at least one other district that had their own special codes. Everything was a memory game, and a deadly one at that.
A keycard was produced eventually by the next approacher, but they'd lost their umbrella for whatever reason. Here, Fantasia actually did feel a bit bad; the suckers were pretty small and easy to lose, unfortunately. But rules were rules. She said nothing as she began to nudge the person back, non-confrontational but firm.

It seemed to be a bad round for people all over. First there was the no keycard, then there was a keycard.
Now there was no umbrella! No umbrella, meant no entry and Alex, while still cheerful enough, nudged the person along with Fantasia.
"There we go! Don't worry, if you get your umbrella, We'll be here. Good luck searching!"
To the girls he laughed a little. "Those things are so little, I'm surprised I haven't lost any!"

Rajni squinted at Alex slightly. How the hell was he so cheerful? She wasn't in a bad mood persay, but he was positively beaming. Maybe he got laid last night or something.
An umbrella was eventually brought forth and Rajni was the one to look it over. It looked real enough. The forgetful person was blubbering about how they'd left it behind in one of the buildings and had had to go back for it, nearly running into a hoard of infected. Such a comment had Rajni raising an eyebrow.
"Umbrella's good. Look him over for injuries."
