Alex was bored. It was, one of many quiet nights in the apartment complex and with duties spread far and wide...they were pretty good. Alex's head was peeking out his apartment door, which was usually open before he noticed two of the many figures in the apartments.
"BRIE! OCTOBER!" He waved them over and the closer they got, they would fell the hands of the man pulling them in.
"ENTERTAINNNNNNNNNN ME....."

The answer came somewhere from down the hall, on the ground, where October was lying face down.
"No."

Brie was headed for the lounge when she was suddenly called by name, along with October. Pausing, she slowly looked over her shoulder to find a very loud Alex gesturing for them to come over. Ultimately failing to control her emotions, the burgundy haired girl expressed a look of despair.
She had gotten a little better with socializing, yes, but Alex.. Alex was another story. His energy could literally drain the people around him. just by trying to keep up with him.
Dragging her feet, she sauntered over to the boy, only to pulled in.
"Entertain you, how?" She whined, struggling to pull loose. Failing to do so, resulted in her flailing and calling out. "Octoberrrrrrrrrrrrrr!" If she was going down, she was not doing so alone.

Alex had TWO friends to play with and that was a lot more entertaining then having NO friends to play with.
So as Brie was pulled in, and then sat down.
"Stay here Brie!!!" He bounced out to the hallway and then dragged October in, slowly, there was a grunt here and there before the lazy man was dropped on the floor.
"I found operation in one of the rooms!" He pointed at the game and then looked at him.

October could have gotten up and walked like an actual adult, but who did that. He simply lay there like a wet noodle - a whining, sleepy, grumbling wet noodle - and let Alex drag him in without so much as lifting a finger to make it easier for him. When he was dropped, he just continued to remain on the floor, face down, umbrella at his side.
"Is that the one where we operate on people who disrupt other people's naptimes?" October asked, voice muffled by the carpet.

What was she? A Dog? Regardless, she didn't move from her spot while Alex ran off to drag October in before dropping him and revealing to them the game he found.
"Ah.. A perfect choice for a zombie apocalypse." She said dryly. Of course Alex managed to find this game. Admittedly, she had played this game once in her life when she was a child. She didn't much care for it, as the loud buzz when you screwed up was enough to make her heart stop.
Dropping to the floor to sit opposite of the boys, she hugged her legs close, resting her chin upon her knees. "You guys go first, I don't like going first."

Alex just laughed.
"It's always your naptime October! You are always sleeping! So now I am disrupting your awake time!" He swayed back and forth before sitting himself down and setting the board game up.
"I'll go first. You get paper money if win!" He waved the dollah bills in their faces.
"Hollah Hollah, I got some...Moolah!"
As he drew the card, asking for him to take out the funny bone, he bounced in his seat and then stared down at the game. As he delicately pulled the funny bone out, his hand shook, and the operation game made a loud buzzing sound.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

"It is always my naptime because sleeping is important," October said indignantly as he finally dragged himself vertical. Hair hanging down over his face, he crouched on his knees beside the other two, hands resting on his legs. "You two should know by now - sleeping is very important."
He nodded sagely, as though this was an Extremely Wise thing to say.
"You totally lost, by the way," he said to Alex, just in case Alex hadn't noticed already. October reached for the little pincers and hunched over the board, trying to figure out which one he wanted to go for, eventually deciding on the wish bone, bandannas dragging over his chin.
"I didn't lose," he said primly as he straightened a second later, dropping the tiny game piece onto the floor.
Then he slumped sideways into Alex's lap because it was always naptime.

"I don't know how you're able to sleep." The zombie dilemma was more then enough to make one an insomniac. The fact that October was able to sleep, especially as much as he did, baffled her.
Brie snorted at the sight of Alex waving money around. "Oh good, we were running low on toilet paper." She joked, before cringing at the sound of the buzzer going off when Alex failed to pull the piece out of its hole on the toy. Her attention was then on October, as he managed to pull his selected piece out with ease.
Now.. now it was her turn.
Hesitantly reaching for the plastic tweezers, she decided on the 'wrenched ankle', because to her, it looked like one of the easier ones to go for.
Holding her breath as she pulled the tiny item from the slot, Brie then quickly handed the tweezers back over to Alex.

Alex made a dejected sound as both October AND Brie dropped pieces on the floor.
"Here's your money you filthy doctors." He said with a grin, dropping the money needed for each successful thing. He was totally jealous, October AND Brie were kicking his a**! "You may use it to buy or...toilet paper...." Brie got a pointed look...
Eventually October found himself in Alex's lap and Alex patted the man's head.
As if he was a dog. Yep.
It was his turn so he moved carefully...He got that funny bone out though! Thank goodness!
"Ah yeah, I REDEEM MYSELF!!"

"I have," said October primly, "a gift. Sleep is just a natural thing for me."
(Or maybe he meant unnatural. Either way, October's ability to sleep wherever and whenever was certainly something.)
Brie managed to get her piece as well, much to Alex's disappointment, but he was still patting October's head, so all was well. He stayed where he was stubbornly throughout all of Alex's turn, lounging like a dog or a cat, and then, when he heard the shout of satisfaction, finally dragged himself up.
This time he went for the butterflies in the stomach.
The buzzer squawked at him. October wilted.
"Your turn," he said dejectedly to Brie and resumed his flopping on Alex.

"Lucky.." If it was a 'gift' as October put it, and it came as naturally as he said, then he probably didn't have any tricks on how to get some sleep, when needed. She would have to ask him more about it later, in any case.
Brie accepted the money, with what appeared to be a slight smug grin, though at second glance, it would be gone.
Glancing at the two, Brie gave another small smile, followed by a snort. "I wish I had a camera. You too look cozy."
After both had their turn, Brie took the tweezers into grasp, and plucked the broken heart from the chest. So far, so good. With that done, she dropped the piece beside the other she had secured, and handed off the tweezers to Alex. "You're up, Alex. My prize?" She added, holding her hand out for the money, eyes still fixated on the board.Quote: Adams Apple Wish Bone - October Broken Heart - Brie Funny Bone - Alex Spare Ribs Butterflies in Stomach Bread Basket Charlie Horse Water on the Knee Ankle Bone connected to the Knee Bone Wrenched Ankle - Brie

"A gift, he says." Alex rolled his eyes over to Brie, "As if a gift is sleeping." He didn't stop petting the other man since October seemed to curl up in his lap like a puppy. Kitten? Small animal? Man, he really wished he had a kitten. They are so cute. October and Brie were cute though!
And look at Brie, getting all competitive!!
That's how normal people would be, if they weren't facing zombies. Alex failed to mention that was his goal really. A sense of normalcy in the apartments.
"We are cozy." He smiled, "Do you want to come in here Brie, into this pile?" He gestured his hands, open wide for the woman.
But then she was taking out a broken heart and he was like...."Noooooooo. Oh you do this?" He leaned over, casually smothering October and took her hand...then he brought it to lips and.......... licked her palm. It was followed by the slap of the bills of money.
And a smile as he took the tweezers. His goal? The Spare ribs. he might need some-
"AUGH!!!" The buzzer went off and he sat back dejectedly. "This game has favortism!"

October was cozy. He liked having people he could lean on, because having people he could lean on meant having people that he could nap on - at least, that was how it worked inside of his head. And Alex and Brie were both excellent for lounging on.
"Sleeping is a gift," October insisted, still flopped over, all but purring into the hair pets because really he might as well have been a cat. He didn't like to think about the future or about possibilities he couldn't control; everything was the here and now, everything was what was right in front of him.
He got squished a little as Alex took Brie's hand, a whine escaping.
"Why does Brie get cute things?" he grumbled, and reached for the tweezers, aiming to pull the bread basket out without actually moving from where he was currently sprawled.
Except this failed beautifully[/stike] terribly.
