Licking his chops, as he stretched his paws out away from his body before they went under him. Standing up he looked around, noticing his so called son was still resting beside him. Shaking out his fur he let out a yawn, before inhaling air through his nostrils. It was then the scent of fresh blood filled his nose and his ears perked forward with excitement as his stomach growled. Looking at his son, Lukav he decided to let him sleep a while longer, but he wouldn't miss a chance at a meal. Walking out towards the alpha's den his eyes scanned the area, wondering where these wondrous meal had come from this time. Taking in the scents like a good scout would he noted this was Azazel's doing and the meal provided was a gift of sorts. It was then his eyes went to look up at the alpha's perch, his head dipping in respect towards the male. He was grateful for the meal and would be sure to say such after he finished filling his stomach.

Heading to the lifeless bodies his tail wagged with excitement as his fangs dug into the soft tissues around the stomach area. Pulling away a hunk of flesh and meat, he chewed for a few moments before swallowing it. The blood drooled off his maw as he went for the hind quarters, the muscle meat far more his favorite then the fat. Eating his fill, he bit a hold of a back leg and shook his head vigorously to tear it loose from the carcass. A low growl rumbled from his chest as he did this, daring any near by wolves to mess with the piece he pulled away for himself. He had several reasons do this, one he wanted his son to have a meal when he awoke and two because he was still wanting a bit more food after his first helping settled. And coming by a good helping of wolf's meat was not common occurrence at times. Backing away from the other carcasses he looked up towards the Alpha and spoke calmly. "Thank you for this delightful meal, Azazel. It really is a good way to wake up" He did lower his body a bit from his natural need to show submission to this male. But at the same time, he hoped his pup would awaken soon and eat this wondrous meal with him.

His haunches hit the dirt as he watched his pack mates begin to gather around the carcasses now. The sounds of their snarls and growls, sending shivers of excitement and desire through out his body. The temptations of starting a morning brawl quite high as normal for him. It would seem though some of the others already thoughts this and before he knew it Azazel was having fun with his own brawl. A bit of jealousy arouse because of the fight, but instead he decided to behave himself for the time being and guard Lukav's meal for him. After all, he wanted his adopted son to be big and strong like he was. Which he was sure any father would for their children.

As he left his mind wander for a moment it came back to the enjoyment he felt with being here. Something about this pack made him feel more at home then anything else in the world he has found. Maybe soon he would be able to fulfill one of his final wishes, by having a mate to help raise Lukav and other pups. First though he needed to prove his worth to Azazel and pray the alpha took favor on him and any prospective mates. As he began to think about having a mate, it brought about the need of ideas that could come in his favor to getting the approval that was needed to have pups in this pack. After all it would be nice to have some more pups around, perhaps the fresh blood would do some good for this pack as well.

xxxxW h i l e the orders were made of his party, he looked to Aven, the only hunter within the group to see if they seemed plausible. The fea soon realized he was looking at her and got the just of his gaze. She stated that plan was good, said his rank and name, which kind of took the male aback but he liked the ring of it. He was still getting used to being called Alpha... even though it's been two years already. Smiling he raised his head high and buffed out his chest, proud as she explained just what worked with his plan. Deep down he felt quite proud of himself. Aven then openly teased him, he chuckled, "Is it that obvious that hunting wasn't my first rank of choice?" he teased back, "It's just my natural instinct of leadership stepping in, don't worry." he continued, winking at her playfully as he turned to the others that were slowly beginning to head out in the directions they should. He and his partner moved towards the bush that was a few yards away from the stag that the scouts scented out. Lowering their bodies they watched the animal in question, mouths watering, the whole ten yards. Patience was a virtue, something Goliath possessed much of. He prayed to the Great Lupen that this would be a simple kill, for the stag was clearly suffering. Goliath respected other animals, regardless of what they were and how high they were in the food chain. The Circle of Life included every single animal within it and the Uktena Alpha chose not to attempt to alter it as such. Respect the forest, and it shall respect you back.

xxxxG o l i a t h heard a soft voice from beside him, asking how he had been keeping. Glancing in the female's direction he smiled, "I've been keeping well, thank you. Busy, but comfortable." he said softly. "How about yourself my hunter?" he said, not speaking of possession but rather very appreciative way. After observing a bit longer, and keeping a whispered conversation the time had come. He lept from the bush and called for the pack to get the hunt underway as soon as the animal bolted towards where Zheana and Castiel were patiently waiting. By the time he caught up to the general vicinity of where the target was he was well behind the stag. Rorin, and Hati. But he lagged back just in case the stag managed to wean it's way through them. Castiel followed the plan, attacking first and unfortunately missing every time he tried. However, within his misses he was able to herd the animal back and make it head towards where he and the others currently were. Next to attempt an attack was Rorin, which also resulted in a lack of contact. Goliath slowed as he seen the buck's antlers collide with the Omega's shoulder instantly the site of dark red was seen. Giving the male a stern look, not of disappointment, but a fatherly look of question of whether or not he was okay look, he continued chasing after the stag, as it continued to fend for it's life. Goliath had to give it props for it was severely injured and still fighting for it's life and fighting well. He respected that, well as much as a hungry wolf, who needed to provide for a whole pack could of course.

xxxxN e x t to attack was Zheana, the scout leaped and latched onto an already gaping wound on the rump of the animal. His ears perked as he heard the animal scream in pain as while she fell off her hold on his skin made it rip harshly opening the wound even wider. Hearts then skipped a beat when the beast rolled it's ankle and nearly plummeted to the ground. Goliath growled in pure annoyance when the stag kept moving, limping heavily. Barks and growls could be heard from all the wolves involved, the fear of the stag was beginning to wear it down just as much as the constant movement in attempt to get away from the predators. A yelp was heard and Goliath slowed his pace to see Aven coware away slightly from near where the stag just slammed his hooves into the ground. She must have been in the way, or couldn't move in time and was hit by the stag. Waiting for eye contact from the fae to see if she was okay he made his move. Goliath aimed for the other back leg, but just as he was about to latch on the animal bucked, resulting in the Alpha needing to get out of the way rather than getting a maw full of hoof. However, where Goliath was able to dodge the attack, Hati was not so lucky. The male was hit square in the chest resulting in the hooves cutting the scouts chest open. Snarling he snapped his jaws hard next to the buck who was becoming exhausted, "Get him guys, lets show him who's king of the forest!" he called to his party, attempting to upbring their spirits and get them pumped to attack again. Hopefully this second round wouldn't hold as many misses, and more hits so they can fill their bellies with fresh meat. Glancing around the party he was curious who was going to attack again first, for he would again, wait to be last for he was the leader of the party.

Abadiah turned his ears back, eyes snapping to the white healer when she yelped and jumped. The reprimand that followed wasn’t unexpected, but he had not meant to startle the poor fae. She was on edge. It crossed his mind that her having come so close to the border was reckless on her part, primarily because a healer against a hungry Sioux was not likely to walk away without mortal injuries, if they walked away at all.. had it been anyone else, Abadiah would’ve scolded that recklessness, but he could see her mentally berating herself and didn’t feel the need to add to it. Instead, he turned to follow the two females back into the woods.

Makoce and I were looking for supplies,” He responded to her question, ears swiveling around as he spied for any danger nearby, “We came across your scent and decided to find you-- which is fortunate.” he looked at her for a moment, relief on his face, before he turned away. It was no secret that he harbored a particular fondness for his fellow healer, though he’d never acted on it or cared to wonder if she ever thought similar of him. The idea that she could’ve been gone just moments ago was not sitting well with him.

Had that wolf had the inclination, he could’ve caused her serious harm, if not killed her. Not to say she couldn’t defend herself, but he knew the difference between a healers duties and a warriors. He had to struggle to keep his hackles from rising again and took a deep breath, “The others are on a hunt. I expect we’ll be hearing them soon.” Abadiah returned his gaze to the pair of them, his comment directed at no one in particular.

Cerelia took off for her little patrol at a leisurely pace. She wasn’t taking the patrol that seriously in truth. She didn’t feel like she really needed to considering the fact that it was the scouts’ duty to regularly attend to marking the borders of the territory and keep a watch for danger or prey. It was likely a few of them had already gone out and patrolled the edges of the pack’s territory earlier that morning as some were prone to do. None the less, Cerelia remained at least partially alert as she made her way further from the den site, following the usual path taken when the wolves went out to “refresh” the defined border of the territory. Half of her senses were left to look, smell, and listen for anything unusual while the other half of her mind wandered and thought of what the rest of the day might hold.

She sincerely hoped that the pack would bring back at least some of whatever kill they might bring down so that she could have a bite to eat of some real food to get her day really going. She could always try chasing down a rabbit or other small creature, but there was something much more satisfying about sinking your teeth into part of a kill you didn’t even have to work for… That and deer meat is always a lot tastier than scrawny, stringy rabbit. She still felt like crap for sleeping through the alpha’s call for a hunt. It had actually been a while since she had gone on one and she didn’t want to get rusty and weak. Though as a warrior she was more inclined to fight other wolves or creatures that were posing a threat to the pack, bringing down a kill could be satisfying as well and it was a good way to flex the muscles and sharpen the reflexes.

All the thoughts of prey got Cerelia’s stomach grumbling and her mouth watering. Her body was deciding for her whether she wanted to hunt for something herself or wait until the others returned, and it wanted something to snack on now. Cerelia’s ears perked up, swiveling around slightly in an attempt to catch the sounds of any rabbits rustling in the underbrush. She lowered her body, her steps more carefully placed now so she wouldn’t make quite as much noise. By now she had wandered some distance from the den site and was nearing the border of the land belonging to Uktena. Soon enough she detected some movement up ahead under a bush. Her body tensed slightly, preparing to sneak up on whatever little morsel was hiding there.

Her little hunt was interrupted when her nose caught an unfamiliar scent, that of another wolf. She immediately snapped to attention, the fur around her shoulders stiffening and rising a bit as she looked around for the owner of the unknown scent. It didn’t take very long for her to see the slender dark shape meandering through the trees in the general direction of the Uktena den site. Standing tall, Cerelia stalked over toward the outsider, a low growl in her throat. “Who are you?” She called as she made her way toward the other wolf, stopping a safe distance away and taking a firm stance.

She appraised the outsider, her dark golden eyes scanning over the other wolf’s body before speaking again. “You’re approaching Uktena territory. If you’re just passing through, mind the borders, but if you have any business with us, state it.” She said firmly. From the stranger’s appearance, she didn’t seem to be any sort of threat. At least not one that Cerelia couldn’t easily handle on her own. This wolf had the weary and somewhat disheveled look of a traveler and Cerelia was perfectly rested and well-fed (though still hungry at this particular moment). If the wolf tried to make any wrong moves, Cerelia figured she could easily chase her off or take her in a fight. Though it was of course Uktena’s way to allow outsiders to speak and have a chance before showing any true aggression towards them or simply chasing them off.

Makoce watched as Jupiter jumped, startled by Abadiah's quiet voice before she turned to her. She looked her over to see if there were any injuries and was relieved to see that there wasn't. She grinned brightly as the older fae licked her face motherly before she trotted off behind her towards the serene cover of the forest. When asked why her and the other healer were in the forest Abadiah beat her too it leaving her to nod in agreement before throwing her own words into the mix "We found a bunch of leaves and different berries for you and Castiel to use!" the novice said energetically. At the male's words she perked up her ears to listen for the others and was rewarded with the faint sound of howls alerting the others that they had found prey. A delicate shiver ran down Makoce's spine at the thought of going and hunting like that. She was thankful for the others and while she knew that if there was a choice between life and death she'd kill a deer she didn't like the thought of actually clamping her jaw around their neck and watching the life leave their eyes. She shook her shaggy head slightly. No, not at all.

location: Sioux den site.xxxwith: No one in particular.xxxcondition: Hoping it stays that way...xxxooc: Here’s my grump. :3 Enjoy screwin’ with him, lol.

Kune had been tucked away near the back of the den away from the bodies of his pack mates when he awoke with the dawn. He always slept apart from the others this way, though his restless shifting and half-unconscious grumbling could hardly be considered restful for the scrawny brute. He still found himself having terrible dreams reliving the day almost one year ago when his brother, Talon, had nearly killed him then simply left him to die rather than finishing him off. Somehow Kune had managed to drag himself to healers den, but the “healing” that took place was simply more fuel for nightmares and phantom pains in his body as he recalled the agonizing process of fixing his mangled body. By now, he had recovered, but he was left with deep and pronounced scars around his neck where the fur only partially grew back, as well as along his snout and legs. There were nicks in his ears and overall he looked worse for wear.

Still, Kune was… Well, at least somewhat glad he was still alive, on some days anyway. On other days he wished that the healers had just let him die or that Talon had ended his life. Neither of those things happened though, so he was left to just live on. Since he had neither the energy nor the motivation to go after his prior ambition of becoming a scout since nearly being killed and having his life turned upside down, he settled on just trying to continue getting by with the least effort possible. It was quite a feat, he thought, to be as lazy and unhelpful a wolf as he was within the Sioux pack. He was lucky that he was still pretty quick and agile enough to avoid any negative attention from the other more bloodthirsty and ruthless members of the pack. He tended to go ignored, or others just didn’t feel he was worth much of their time unless they wanted someone to bother or chase around. He was almost like an honorary omega, he definitely looked the part in any case. Still, Kune would choose to stay in Sioux. It was the only pack he had known, and he felt they were a strong pack, one that would thrive and rule in Evergreen. And if the pack survived, so would he.

Others were beginning to leave the den now, roused by a call from Azazel. Kune pushed himself up from the ground with a groan and lazily plodded out after them to see what the commotion was about. Apparently a couple wolves had crossed into their territory and Azazel, oh ever the precious and caring leader he was, had killed them and brought them back for breakfast. Oh, Zazy… You shouldn’t have. Such a beautiful banquet you’ve provided! Ugh, please… Gods, what a peacock. Kune thought to himself as he watched Azazel puff his chest out proudly as he presented the dead wolves before digging into them. Many of the others followed suit, growling and shoving to get a hunk of flesh for themselves. Kune would sit this one out though. Not only would there most likely not be enough to satisfy everyone, he also didn’t really feel like shoving into that mess. Besides, wolf meat wasn’t all it was cracked up to be. Kune would just go without food for a while until he felt like hunting something for himself. He had learned to grow accustomed to hunger pangs thanks to both his pickiness and his laziness.

Shortly after eating, a couple of warrior faes got into a playful fight with the leader, earning an eye roll from Kune. He took the time to scan the area to see who else was up and about though, paying particular attention to where his brother was this morning so he could avoid him the rest of the day. Most of the wolves had ripped off hunks of meat to go eat them in privacy or had found somewhere to relax out of the morning sun. He was prepared to find a nice rock in the sun and take their lead. Since he hadn’t slept well, resting with the warm sun on his darkly furred back sounded like his kind of morning. So, he ambled over to a nice flat rock and eased himself onto it, already slightly warmed from the morning sun.

Letting his head rest on his forepaws, he closed one eye to rest while the other kept watch on the goings on around the den site. He saw Fisnae and Nycro slink off into the woods together. Gross. The two had been courting it seemed and what was more disgusting than love, especially in this pack? Kune held a lot of disdain for “love”, mostly because it had been his brother’s jealous love rage that had nearly spelled his end. A stupid misunderstanding. The other reason he didn’t care for love was that there was no way in hell any fae would desire him anyway. He was a runt, and now he was a scarred and banged up runt, so whatever looks he’d had were sort of ruined now. He doubted he’d want to be with any female from Sioux anyway… Crazy bitches the lot of ‘em.

He finally caught sight of his brother. Talon seemed to be showing an interest in the pack’s provider. Though really, the female hardly seemed to know how to handle pups properly. But Kune was just glad someone was since he didn’t much care for the little brats. They always wanted to pester him about where his scars came from and why he always looked grumpy and other stupid pup crap. Kune watched with mild bemusement as his brother appeared to be helping the fae get some meat for the pups to eat. “Aww, does big brother wanna be a daddy now? How precious. Here’s hoping he doesn’t kill his own spawn when his mate starts paying more attention to them than to him.” He muttered under his breath with a snort that could almost be considered a laugh for the bitter brute.

                                                                              ╔═══════════════════════════════════════════════╗

Lukav awoke later in the morning only to find that his adoptive father, as well as many of the other members of the pack, was already gone from the den. He had slept pretty well, a lot better than he did when he used to sleep in the provider’s den anyway. There were a few younger pups and they were all annoying and too hyper and nippy for Lukav. Between their constant yapping and Meera always snapping at them to shut up, Lukav just did not enjoy the company. He was glad when Vetis agreed to letting him sleep in the main den with him. It made him feel a little special, and though Vetis occasionally teased him for being a pup (much to his chagrin), he felt that it was a sign that his new dad trusted his maturity to a degree.

The sounds of snarls and the ripping of flesh drew Lukav from the den only to see members of the pack surrounding some kill that Lukav couldn’t identify from behind the crowding of wolves snapping at each other to get some pieces for themselves. Looking around with wide blue-green eyes he quickly spotted Vetis seated away from the others with a portion of the kill, which appeared to be wolf now that he got a better look. He quickly trotted over toward the black brute, swerving under and between the adults’ legs to make a beeline for him. “G’morning.” He greeted the older wolf, plopping his rump on the ground beside him. He then bent his head down to sniff at the hunk of flesh on the earth before him. “This for me?” He asked, looking up at Vetis with a slight tilt to his head. He was pretty hungry, but he would never just dig into anything without permission.

While he waited for a response from the black wolf, his eyes drifted over to a three-wolf fight that had broken out between the leader, his sister, and a warrior. He was excited at first, always keen to observe a fight, but it quickly dissolved into a rather disappointing silly and playful spar. None of the participants seemed to be taking it very seriously. It was too bad. Lukav always liked to take mental notes when wolves fought in the pack. Though he wasn’t a fan of a lot of physical brawling himself, he liked to learn more advanced fighting techniques from watching the adults so that when he did get into play fights he could easily end them by trying out things he learned from more experienced fighters. In truth, fighting wasn’t something he got much pleasure from. He much preferred putting to use his knack for being quiet and going unnoticed amongst the adults. Like his adoptive father, he thought he might like to be a scout. Being a hunter was another option though where he could put to use some of his stealth as well as the fighting techniques he observed that could be used to easily down prey. However those kinds of decisions could wait since Lukav was still young and had much to learn.

He peered back up at Vetis with slight smile on his maw. “So what should we do today after eating? Maybe… I could practice some hunting?” Lukav suggested. A quick glance around the den site revealed that not much was really going on at the moment and everyone seemed to just be eating, lazing about, or chatting amongst each other. The only mildly amusing thing that the pup could see himself doing was trying to eavesdrop on some conversations, but that would probably just end up being boring or earn him some annoyed snarls from the adults. He’d rather get out into the forest and do something productive with the day. Maybe Vetis would let him accompany him on a scout!

Akela sat back on her haunches as Storm took the meat, her tongue swiping over her maw to clean off the excess blood as the healer ate. Honey eyes wandered over the the male still on the ground, her ear twitching back as Storm spoke, and a soft smile spread on the pretty fae's maw. "I figured you might have been too busy to come get some yourself. And you know these ingrates won't leave any behind for the wolves who actually get any s**t done here." Gaze flicking back to Storm, Akela gave a slow wag. "And it looks like I wasn't wrong." She hadn't missed the bloody pine needle on the ground, and the fae had to resist rolling her eyes. Really? That brute had bothered the healer just for a lowly pine needle? What was he, a pup? Jawaahzi wasn't spared an indignant look as Akela allowed her focus to drift back to him. "Were you unable to find your mommy to pull that for you, Jah?" She cooed, tail wagging. It was clear she was only teasing, the she-wolf easing down the rest of the way to relax.

Her attention was pulled from the brute as another fae appeared, and Akela began to suspect that her little "friendly" chat with Storm was going to go awry. No doubt that the other fae would get annoyed with so many wolves laying around. Which was quite irritating. Though the meal had probably done the trick, the whole point of this little expedition was to get on the healer's good side. That is, the good side that involved proper healing. Not the "good" side, where the twisted healer decided to share the sensation pain. Akela hadn't personally been gifted that "privilege", but she'd seen other wolves who had been deemed worthy by Storm. Finding that middle ground was going to be difficult.

Climbing back to her feet, Akela turned her attention back to Storm. "I'll get out of your fur now. Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dumb over there make a crowd. Be sure to let me know if you'd like any assistance later. I'd rather not be reduced to sitting on my a** all day." With a cheery wave of her tail, Akela dipped her head in goodbye and trotted off. She supposed she could snag a little of the meal for herself. She wasn't exactly hungry, but it was best to eat when you got the chance in this pack. Making her way back to the center of the densite, brushing right past Ronja as she spoke to Talon before once again shoving and snapping her way past her packmates. Once she had made it back to one of the kills, she tore off a thick hunk for herself and trotted off, making her way to a private spot to eat her meal.

From here, Akela could once again survey the den, watching all of the wolves as they ate and interacted with one another. From the shaded vantage of a tall patch of ferns, few would notice her spying on the rest of the pack. This was one of the ways she figured out the weaknesses and eavesdropped on some of the other wolves, spying wolves who tried to hide limps, or covering up their reactions to other wolves. It was one of her favorite ways to pass the time.

xxxxR o u g h housing was still taking place between the Alpha and two faes. Several minutes passed and he knew he had completely overpowered Nox and she was pretty much stuck. He knew she could easily use her back legs to kick him in the stomach or other parts. She must have known better to kick him in his private part or she's be severely injured in result. Anyone who touched his parts without given permission would probably end up dead beneath him, he needed his parts and no one was going to take that away from him. No matter the attempts the dark fae made she was unable to land an attack on him. Good. Azazel managed to put the fae in her place after landing a great domination attack himself. A comment was made by his sister who was standing very close by, laughing he raised his head, and looked at her. "I couldn't eat such a beautiful fae." he teased, looking back down at the black female beneath him. "My you look beautiful, you should allow me to give you a new look every day..." he taunted, his slobber had made her fur flat and it stuck out every which way... frankly it looked rather humorous it was a look not many wolves would ever want to be seen on them. Watching Azexira he observed as she laid down and shoved her nose into Nox's neck as though to protect her from any more of Azazel's attacks.

xxxxG r o w i n g bored of the faes, he'd won this battle, the fae beneath him was conquered and his sister forfeited. Today was a good day. Perhaps this wasn't exactly the truth of what happened but it's what the Alpha's Pride believed. "Next time I won't be so gentle." he threatened in an almost challenge to the ladies. He knew they could hold their own, they were Sioux afterall. Moving his back leg he let her bottom half free but he kept his front legs on each side and lowered his maw slightly. Licking Nox's nose he grunted affectionately as he did the same to his sister's forehead. "Great duel ladies. She's all yours Azexira, make sure you make her pretty again." he teased, knowing his sister was going to attempt to fix the mess he made of her best friend's fur. With that he lifted his front paw and moved off of the fae, allowing her to finally sit up and not have to look so vulnerable beneath him any longer. Moving a few paces away he shook out his fur fully before taking a seat to watch the two faes, completely ignoring his sisters silly movements.

xxxxL o o k i n g about the densite he seen a few wolves gathered near the healers den, Storm, Jah, Akela, and Nevaera. He wondered what was going on there. Soon he noticed many wolves were missing, Nycro, Fisnae, Talon, Meera, Kune, and Ronja. He wondered where they all were and why they were suddenly not within the densite anymore. Eventually his gaze fell upon Zevran, lazing about. Giving the ladies a glance he stood up and trotted towards the warrior. Once in front of who he was wanting to speak to he cleared his throat as he looked down at the male. Azazel towered over Zevran who was laying down, and as soon as he looked up the Alpha raised his tail with dominance. "Why don't you make yourself useful and see if Zheana has left anything for us as of late." he ordered darkly. Knowing the male knew better than to talk back or disobey he remained standing there waiting for an answer anyways. Gazing around the den once more he noticed Frost longing around as well, her gaze on Nox and Xira. Chuckling he left Zevran's side once their conversation was over and approached the white healer. "Disappointed that there are no wounds to be healed from the duel between my sister, her friend and I?" he teased, "Fret not my dear, if you were wishing for something to heal just ask, I can deliver you as such." he spoke darkly, offering to openly hurt a pack member just to give her something to do. Sure playing was fun, but injuring another wolf for fun was much more amusing to the male.

Wolves moved about, left and right, some even disappeared from his view. The massive male snorted and looked around once again. There was nothing to do, and it irritated Zevran more than anything. Azazel was sparring, others were eating, and some left to do their business. His dull yellow hues caught sight of Akela whom creepily watched everyone within the pack. Zevran could not help but chuckle lightly at her actions, feeling rather glad to have been out of her peripheral vision. In a matter of minutes, he noticed their massive Alpha make his way towards him and Zevran, being the type of wolf he is, was not at all affected by his approaching form, unlike the others, the warrior held no fear towards his Alpha. Not if he aspired for secondary power. His yellow hues followed him, looking up at the brute at he towered over him. His display of dominance didn't go unnoticed, and Zevran was not affected by it. He knows how to respect, but has his own way of doing so.

He raised a brow at his orders. "I thought it would be the Scout's job, but very well, Azazel, consider it done." He dipped his head and watched as his leader left. Zheana...Zevran doesn't know what this fae looks like nor who she is, all he knows of her is her scent, a weird thing considering he joined when the fae had started her mission. 'See if she has left anything'. Sound sort of easy enough. Standing, he stretched first before shacking his multi-colored fur. His yellow hues glared at the pack members before he turned his back and left the den site, disappearing into the forest as if they were one. The border that divides the lands will be his main objective, there he will find what he is looking for.

The Eurasian wolf ran, though not as fast as a Scout would. His nostrils flared as he headed towards the border, where the scent of both Sioux and Uktena was faint. It took him quite some time, but he managed to get there, dull yellow orbs gazing up at the cliff that worked as a border. It was a wonderful sight, but there was no one in Sioux that admires certain beauties such as himself. Lowering his head, he allowed his nostrils to flare, taking in all the scents within the area, searching for one in particular...Zheana's. He followed along the bordered line, his eyes gazing around for any minor details in his surroundings that he would deem 'out of place'. Thankfully, both his eyes and nose caught it. A small pile of leaves with the heavy scent of the fae's, it was faint, almost gone, but Zevran was not fool, he holds unique skills and knowledge that deems him a valuable member to any pack. Approaching the pile, he carefully dug it up with one paw, as to not foolishly mess up anything that may have been buried.

Within the pile of leaves, were five feathers stuck together with dried blood. Zevran could make out this message, and Azazel had to be informed. Picking up the feathers, he put them aside and looked around. Grabbing an odd stone, he placed it gently on the spot, serving as a 'stamp' that would mean they have received the message and that the meeting will take place on the fifth day. Grabbing the feathers, Zevran began to cover up the rock with the leaves gently, making it look as undisturbed as he could by rearranging them. As he took a step to return to the den, he looked back in the direction of Uktena, wondering when would he the day that he would catch that fae and ask for information about the wolves in the pack. With a huff, Zevran left, running back the way he came, and upon feeling that there was no need to rush, he found himself a pond. The brute placed the feathers down and stepped on them to keep them from flying off, he laid down and lowered his head, lapping at the water greedily and quenching his thirst. Looking up, he relaxed and closed his eyes for a moment, enjoying the serene peace of the forest before he returned to a home full of chaos. ""

Admittedly Frost was aware of the fact that when she bothered to consider the possibility, she really did enjoy watching her pack mates a bit more then. Well what would be considered normal really, but there was oh so much that one could gather from others by merely sitting back and watching them. It was an excellent way to learn some interesting things that might have otherwise have been missed. And hell that wasn’t even counting the things that she could learn by listening to what was going on around her. Oh the things one can over hear when no one thinks that your bothering to pay attention to them can be oh so delicious. Oh and of course useful as well for when the fae needed to, well when she felt like having a bit of fun. Often at the expense of the unlucky individual she happened to decide to play with for a while.

Chuckling silently to herself the fae flicked her ears slightly as she turned her head to face Azazel a mischievous grin parting the females muzzle. “Oh I don’t know about healing but you can’t blame a fae for wanting to see a little blood shed on such a lovely day.” The healer replied smoothly her gaze flickering with mischief as she looked up at the Alpha male. “Oh you spoil me I am almost tempted to offer myself for such delightful pain. But that just wouldn’t be quite as fun as getting to see someone else cower.” She replied after a moment of silence as she considered the thought a chill running down the female’s spine causing her shiver slightly. Like nearly every member of their pack the female liked to see others suffer to prolong a wolf’s pain as much as possible. Hell she had mastered a number of ways to do just that. But as much as she liked seeing others in pain, the female loved to feel it herself just as much. Which probably made it all the better that she was a healer and not a warrior at least that way she could treat herself afterwards.

“It’s a pity that so many have wandered off it does so limit your choice in victims.” She added her gaze flickering over the remaining members of the pack and Azazel. Resisting the thoughts of offering herself as a chew toy, knowing all too well that she would not be able to keep herself from taking a bite or two out of the male. She might like pain but that didn’t mean that she was so cowardice and spineless that she would let herself be hurt without some retaliation oh no. And gods protect whoever was foolish enough to think that way.

Jah blinked his eyes open and looked up at her. His answer to torment was to ask why do it himself when there were others to do it for him. She snorted and rolled her eyes. Of course he was a lazy sack of fur, and he did nothing to prove her wrong. She knew she was playing with fire here. Most of the wolves in Sioux would eat a wolf’s face off for making comments like hers. Jah just lay there however, looking at her. It irritated her… Did he think she was too pathetic or weak to take him in a fight? She could always prove him wrong… Who knew his reasoning though… Perhaps he was just too lazy to fight her. She almost missed his question while she was thinking. “You looked like you were peaceful. Of course I had to come and disturb that,” she said, the words rolling off her tongue in a lazy tone.

She continued to sit there and watch him. He seemed to be thinking about something, or trying to ignore her… One of the two. Nev’s own golden eyes watched his as they closed and he started to doze off. A low growl rumbled in her throat. Stupid wolf, just ignoring her presence. She waited a few minutes to see if he’d wake up or not. When he didn’t, she got to her paws and moved slightly closer to him, and raised a paw. Tensing herself, she readied to jump away, as she poked him in the side. Some wolves were known to snapping when they were woken up, and she didn’t want to risk losing a paw.

She poked him again and then sprung away, waiting to see his reaction. “Sorry I’m not enough entertainment to keep you awake Jah. Though it is rather rude to fall asleep when you’re in the company of others,” she said, growling again. Stupid brute, just because she didn’t like him didn’t mean he could just go to sleep while she was trying to annoy him.

xxxxRook was quick to take charge and lead the hunting party to where Ghost had spotted the small herd. There was one that was dragging behind and Rook chose that one for them to go after. Ghost found himself nodding in agreement. It made most sense to go for that one, given that their hunting party was made up of wolves that didn’t chose hunting as a skill. It should be an easy enough take down for them. Rook motioned for them to go, and Ghost took off after her. He chose to stay close to Whisper as he ran after the huntress. He wondered if she would make an attack on the deer. Hopefully it wouldn’t come down to having to force her to make an attack if she didn’t want to. Anyway, he turned his focus from the fae to the prey. He had to keep his head in the game if they wanted this kill. The pack was depending on them!

Knowing that Rook would be last to make a hit, Ghost waited to see if anyone else planned on making the first move. It hadn’t taken long for the hunting party to catch up to the deer, even though it had startled upon their approach and had tried to run. The rest of the group of deer had bolted, leaving the poor thing behind to fend for itself. When no one else went to move, Ghost decided to make the first attack. Getting a good speed going in his run, he tensed his muscles and leapt forward, closing the distance between him and the deer. In just a few more steps he had evened himself out with it. Snapping at its legs, he managed to sink his fangs into one of the hind legs, causing the deer to utter a shrill cry.

He held on for a few seconds more before releasing the prey. Blood began to run down the creatures leg, and he let himself fall behind, allowing one of the other wolves in the party room to go for an attack.

She was pleased to hear that the Alpha had been keeping well, and nodded her head. “Pretty much the same here. It’s been peaceful the last little while. I like it,” she answered him, with a small wag of her tail. Their conversation didn’t last much longer than that, since the hunt had begun. Everyone had taken his or her turns, though most seemed to fail miserably. Only one solid attack had been made, thanks to Zheana. When Aven ducked away from her own attack, Hati was quick to fill the space she’d abandoned, but the brute missed as well, and the stag kicked him back. She snarled in frustration. How was this prey getting the better of their party? Like Hati she was quick to continue running after the prey. Aven was impressed with how quickly the scout recuperated, not a noise had come from him and he was back on his paws and running despite his injury. She spotted Goliath looking at her and, noting the concern in his gaze, nodded her head, signalling that she was fine. The deer had only nicked her, nothing serious.

Goliath hadn’t even made an attack yet, as the Alpha was waiting for the prey to be weakened to make the killing blow. Aven continued to run at the side of the stag, noting how it’s sides were moving quickly, showing exhaustion. She could see beads of sweat on the thin pelt of the creature, as well as terror in its wide eyes. Goliath called to them, telling them to prove who the king of the forest was, and she nodded, her determination back. She had to get a hit in! She just had to! She growled before leaping forward, catching up to the side of the stag. Aven ducked in, snapping her jaws, but she missed by an inch, and her teeth clamped down on air. A disappointed huff left her, as she moved out of the way for another wolf to make an attack.

She was becoming discouraged. Her second attack also failed. Goliath would never deem her an appropriate mate. She was a hunter who could barely even hunt! What was wrong with her? Still, despite her self-loathing, she wanted the hunting party to bring down the beast. Following Goliath’s example, she barked out a few encouraging words to the other wolves.
