Ronja's gaze finally settled on the familiar form of Talon, her tail wagging in a relaxed greeting as she pushed to her paws and trotted over. Even from afar she could tell he was in a sour mood, but she didn't mind. He began instructing her when suddenly she felt another wolf brush against her. And not in the friendly "how are you doin" kind of brush, but a rough "get the hell out of my way" kind. Ronja took a few steps to the side to regain her balance as her sister sauntered off. It may have been a rude display to anyone else in the pack, but it was what constituted as a warm greeting between the two sisters nowadays.
Letting her attention fall back on Talon, she was about to jog off to do as he said before he suddenly tacked the last bit on the end, and the fae couldn't help but heave a sigh. Admittedly, she hadn't realized until belatedly that there were two carcasses on the ground. The mass of wolves had initially blocked one out, but as they had dispersed, Ronja could finally make out the second form of their prey. Still, hunts were few and far between. And with an alpha who didn't appreciate his subordinates sitting around doing nothing, it was a huge pain in the rump. "I know, I know. I just want something to do." She said on a sigh, rolling her eyes.
Turning her attention back to the food, she watched as Akela bullied her way past the other wolves, easily scoring herself a meal before taking it elsewhere to eat in peace. Ronja followed suit, but did not pull off the snapping and growling quite to the finesse as the other wolves did. Whereas Akela's threats came off as actual threats, Ronja's was more of a warning. Akela would leap at the chance to kill the other wolves if pestered. Ronja would kill if pushed to do so. And unfortunately for her, there seemed to be an obvious difference. Though the other wolves paid her little mind, being ignored seemed to be worse than being harassed. Many had moved out of Akela's way. Few even acknowledged Ronja's existence.
Sighing, the fae tore away two chunks, dashing off with the food before another wolf could lunge for them, then made her way over to where Meera and Talon were. It seemed Talon was being sweet on Meera. There was no question that he was courting the provider. Which probably would have made things awkward, if Ronja had taken a liking to the brute with the miss-matched hues. Luckily for the fae, however, that wasn't the case. Sure, he was handsome, and Ronja was grateful that he even gave her the time of day, but there just wasn't any attraction there. Another thing the fae was grateful for.
As she approached, the pups' attention was pulled from the other two adults, and a few split off to run over. One jumped at the meat clutched in her jaws, the others nipped at her tail and feet. Jerking her head up, Ronja brought her paw up just in time for the pup to smack right into it, falling hard on his rump afterwards. Her gaze flicked up to Meera quickly, hoping the provider wouldn't snap at her for it. Luckily, he didn't seem to be deterred in the slightest, and was back at his antics after a moment. Once she had made it over to the pair, she dropped one hunk of meat, and wandered a little bit away to try to eat her own. Hopefully, the pups would be distracted enough by their own meal, and she wouldn't need to fight them off. Though she had a strong desire to have pups of her own one day, these ones were a little irritating. They didn't get on her nerves like they did to some of the other wolves in the pack, but it still didn't mean she particularly enjoyed their company.
