Ronja's gaze finally settled on the familiar form of Talon, her tail wagging in a relaxed greeting as she pushed to her paws and trotted over. Even from afar she could tell he was in a sour mood, but she didn't mind. He began instructing her when suddenly she felt another wolf brush against her. And not in the friendly "how are you doin" kind of brush, but a rough "get the hell out of my way" kind. Ronja took a few steps to the side to regain her balance as her sister sauntered off. It may have been a rude display to anyone else in the pack, but it was what constituted as a warm greeting between the two sisters nowadays.

Letting her attention fall back on Talon, she was about to jog off to do as he said before he suddenly tacked the last bit on the end, and the fae couldn't help but heave a sigh. Admittedly, she hadn't realized until belatedly that there were two carcasses on the ground. The mass of wolves had initially blocked one out, but as they had dispersed, Ronja could finally make out the second form of their prey. Still, hunts were few and far between. And with an alpha who didn't appreciate his subordinates sitting around doing nothing, it was a huge pain in the rump. "I know, I know. I just want something to do." She said on a sigh, rolling her eyes.

Turning her attention back to the food, she watched as Akela bullied her way past the other wolves, easily scoring herself a meal before taking it elsewhere to eat in peace. Ronja followed suit, but did not pull off the snapping and growling quite to the finesse as the other wolves did. Whereas Akela's threats came off as actual threats, Ronja's was more of a warning. Akela would leap at the chance to kill the other wolves if pestered. Ronja would kill if pushed to do so. And unfortunately for her, there seemed to be an obvious difference. Though the other wolves paid her little mind, being ignored seemed to be worse than being harassed. Many had moved out of Akela's way. Few even acknowledged Ronja's existence.

Sighing, the fae tore away two chunks, dashing off with the food before another wolf could lunge for them, then made her way over to where Meera and Talon were. It seemed Talon was being sweet on Meera. There was no question that he was courting the provider. Which probably would have made things awkward, if Ronja had taken a liking to the brute with the miss-matched hues. Luckily for the fae, however, that wasn't the case. Sure, he was handsome, and Ronja was grateful that he even gave her the time of day, but there just wasn't any attraction there. Another thing the fae was grateful for.

As she approached, the pups' attention was pulled from the other two adults, and a few split off to run over. One jumped at the meat clutched in her jaws, the others nipped at her tail and feet. Jerking her head up, Ronja brought her paw up just in time for the pup to smack right into it, falling hard on his rump afterwards. Her gaze flicked up to Meera quickly, hoping the provider wouldn't snap at her for it. Luckily, he didn't seem to be deterred in the slightest, and was back at his antics after a moment. Once she had made it over to the pair, she dropped one hunk of meat, and wandered a little bit away to try to eat her own. Hopefully, the pups would be distracted enough by their own meal, and she wouldn't need to fight them off. Though she had a strong desire to have pups of her own one day, these ones were a little irritating. They didn't get on her nerves like they did to some of the other wolves in the pack, but it still didn't mean she particularly enjoyed their company.

xxxxT h e scout laid down as she had asked him too, but not after a few seconds of disobedience for the sake of being a pain in her a**. She could feel the male tense up beneath her paw, she knew she was hurting him. It made no difference to Storm how excruciating this was, especially because of the fact he was too damned lazy to do this himself. But so help him Lupen if he snapped at her, she would snap back much harder, letting him know it was not okay to take his frustrations out on him regardless if she was hurting him and it was pure instinct to attack the one who was hurting you. As a healer one got used to attacks as such and knew to get out of the way just in time to dodge actual impact, while working on ones body they could either feel or see the patient move in their peripheral vision giving them just enough time to move out of the way. After a few attempts the culprit of the pain in his paw was out. Spitting it to the ground, rather than a his face like she wanted too she then gave him instructions. He sounded reluctant and uncaring of her words, she snorted, "Don't come crying to us when your paw becomes infected and don't whine like a little b***h when we have to chew your leg into a ******** stub to keep it from spreading and killing you." she snapped back, harshly explaining to the male what would happen if he didn't take care of it. Frankly she didn't care much care and would love to deal that much pain to one wolf, however, it was something in her nearly black heart that attempted to save wolves, even if they didn't deserve it or how much she truly hadn't wanted too.

xxxxS t o r m openly accepted the gift of food that was given to her by Akela, and it was quite obvious from the head shake that Jah wasn't much impressed. Smirking she then thanked the fae who brought her, her meal and nodded at his wish of her to have a good meal. She wasn't going to thank him for his words, she never said the words thank you not even to Akela even though she deserved as such. Eating the meat was a thank you enough in Storm's opinion. The off white male then walked a little ways from the den entrance before laying down in a heap of wolf. She then focused on eating as a black wolf approached the area, targeting Jah with her teasing almost immediately. The healer snickered as the Nevaera spoke down to the male about being lazy and not as strong as most other wolves and coming to a healer for something so small. However, her attention was upon her waitress when she began to speak, a smile graced her maw... a real one even. "Good to know someone around her appreciates the things we do for others around here." she sounded a bit cold, but it was a good thing of course. Moments later, Akela too sent a jab into Jah's side about the pine needle incident. Poor little man, getting belittled by a lot of females. Amusing really. As Storm was finishing up she watched the closer female stand to all fours again and excuse herself, "I will holler if I need anything." she nodded in a silent thanks and watched the other walk off from the area.

xxxxO n c e again she found herself gazing and listening to the two wolves near by as she groomed herself after her meal. At first their little playful jabs at one another bored the hell out of her, the sarcasm was so clear and clique. Looking away, she watched as Alpha Azazel finished up his play fight with Nox and Xira. It wasn't everyday the male worked towards not ripping ones head off. Soon the large male stalked off and spoke with another scout, Zevran before walking over to her fellow healer Frost. Storm was slightly intrigued by this, what would Azazel want with the healer, must have been important enough for him to seek her out? A small ruckus near by caught her attention, she looked over at Jah and Nev just in time to see the black wolf spring away from the sprawled out male in play. Rolling her eyes she trotted closer to the two, "Nevaera!" she called out sternly making her stop whatever she was doing. "Leave him." she said abruptly, "I had specifically instructed him to stay off his injured paw." her tone was short and matter of fact as she stopped approaching deeming herself close enough. Lowing her front half of her body she growled and flicked her tail back and forth, "Besides he's no match for the likes of a mighty scout such as yourself, care to pick on someone your own size?" she taunted darkly the other female. A fight would be fun, playful or not, Storm would never pass up the opportunity to spar with another wolf. Be this opportunity a play fight as Azazel and his opponents had, or one that drew blood it didn't matter it was not like she was afraid of a few new scars.

His eyes managed to wander back to the carnage before him, wolves enjoying the meal provided by their great leader. With a yawn of boredom, he noted the so called fight between Azazel and the others became nothing more then a playful tussle. Shaking his head with a sigh of sorts leaving him, he waited to see if Lukav would come find him. Shortly after that very thought, he heard the voice of the pup ring out with a greeting as his rump plopped down on the ground next to Vetis. A toothy grin was given when the pup asked about the food, it causing Vetis to place his paw over it to claim it. "Depends if you can earn it today." With the tip of his tail wagging slightly he got to his feet and moved more in between the meal he pulled aside and Lukav, not daring to be soft of the pup. After all if he couldn't protect himself, he would never survive in this world they lived in. That and Vetis was always up for a good tussle from time to time.

The pup brought up what they would do after he ate, which gave Vetis a great idea. "If you can best me in a tussle and get to the meat, you may eat your fill Lukav. But fail and you have to go out hunting for your own meal later today when I go on my scouting trip or you can simply stay here and starve." Lifting his head a bit higher in pride, he bared his fangs with a low snarl escaping them as he got ready to take the pup on. Lowering his body slightly he got ready to pounce, though waiting to let Lukav get his first attempt out. Vetis might be cruel to fight with a pup, but it didn't mean he wouldn't give the pup a fighting chance either. Sure this black brute wouldn't actually harm his adopted son with out reason, but he would make sure he was going to grow up strong.

Watching the pup closely he let out a low growl, he kept his body tense and waited. This was sure to be interesting for anyone who watched, but he also worried the pup would back down. Then again he never said Lukav had to fight him, merely get to the meat with out being caught by Vetis. Letting his eyes wander slightly to notice everyone near by, before focusing once more on his pup. "Get the lead out pup and prove your worth..." Shifting his weight slightly he tried to better position himself between the meat and Lukav. Now he left it up to the pup to make his move and take his chance at an easy meal, instead of having to catch his own.

Jah had been asleep, but not for very long. There was a paw connecting to his body and he snapped his teeth in a clear angered growl. Golden hues glowed with fury as snarled towards the female whom had so brazenly poked him with a paw while he was trying to ignore her and rest. Damned fea's they never truly leave you alone and they act like they own the world just because you can't create more wolves without em. Damnit. The hairs on the back of his neck stood up and bristled clearly. But he did not stand up to get back at her. Spotty simply gave away a warning by snapping his teeth together and lunging his head forward in her direction. It was clearly just a fake. "I wouldn't call you much of a company. You are more a pest and a plague" he replied with malice in his tone. Trying to make the beauty go away from him.

It was then Storm appeared, telling the other female to lay off. Had that been all she had said the scout would have let the matter slip and gone back to rest. She was right, he was supposed to let his paw rest. But of course the healer had to utter quite the rude remark. This was not the black beauty and that made just the more difference. No match.. he thought for himself snarling and finally standing up. Perhaps if it had been Nev saying this he would have not reaction in such a matter. However this was Storm and other then being a good asset to the group she was nothing to him. Growling he suddenly snapped, as if a button had been switched and now his eyes were filled with a different rage.

His paws carried him forward, but in the heat of the moment he miscalculated his steps and put all his weight on his injured paw. Jawaahzi had been providing a perfect swipe towards Storm and it would have hit, had his balance not been off due to the sudden jerk of pain that caused him to wince and bend his knee ever so slightly. "Damnit!" he cursed loudly and snarled low in his throat. Making a fool out of himself like that, just of his stupid injured paws. And in front of Nev of all things! Wait.

What on earth did that have to do with anything? Shaking his head he backed a bit, knowing the fea would surely think of a counter attack after his sudden burst and failure. Her laughter made him just snarl further.

Maxie
Uktena Pup

User Image

Be the best wolf she could be for the pack, that was something that Maxie intended to do to the best of her ability. All wolves of Uktena were the best! No other wolves stood a chance, or at least in Maxie's eyes, they didn't. Her pack was the absolute best and that's because they had Goliath. She was extremely fond of her alpha, she thought he did a wonderful job because the pack was well taken care of. And then there was an entirely different matter, rabbits. Everyone said she was fast enough to catch one but Maxie knew better, she always missed them by a few hairs. Always. Every single time. She had to prove that she could catch them. And she would but no rabbits were foolish enough to enter the densite, ever. Rabbits didn't like wolves and one would wonder why. It wasn't that they were bad, no, they were doing what they needed to survive. In all of her thoughts, she was soon distracted and as she sat in one of her new piles, she gave a huff. This plan wasn't working, either. She'd never find Valora.

No matter how many snow piles she checked, she hadn't found her provider and finally, Maxie gave a huff and an irritated look. She hated losing and she'd never be a good hunter if she couldn't find her prey! "I give up! I can't find you!" Maxie yipped, looking around expectantly. The wait seemed to be long but after a few minutes, she found herself giving a whine as Valora nipped her tail. It was gentle, of course but it was also a sign that she'd made the fae angry. Immediately, Maxie lowered her head, focusing on the snow covered ground unhappily. Here it came, she was in trouble now. And as the lecture started, Maxie gave yet another whine and went down onto her belly, finally daring to look up at Valora. "But I couldn't find you! I heard that's a way to scare prey.." Maybe if she talked about technique, her sitter would forget all about the fact that she'd quit counting early.

A few seconds later, she found that she wasn't that lucky and again, Maxie focused on the ground. She couldn't argue with Valora, it was bad enough that she'd cheated. She knew better but, Valora did have an advantage, it hadn't been fair! As her punishment was dealt, the pup gave a whine. Time out was never fun and she huffed, listening to the lecture before giving a small nod. Time to start counting and this time, she wouldn't cheat, she would listen. "One moon..." She spoke, her voice small. "Two moons..." Maxie spoke up again, feeling worse and worse as the numbers got higher. "Three moons, I'm really sorry Valora! I didn't want to lose!" She spoke, being completely honest. Though it was a no brainer, anyone who knew Maxie knew that she had to win. "Four moons..." By now, she was wanting to crawl into a hole. She felt terrible. Her ears lowered and she shoved her chin further against the ground.

"Five moons..." She murmured, her voice barely audible. Sure, she was halfway through but she hated time out and she hated having anyone mad at her, especially Valora. She dared to take a look up at her sitter, hoping that by now, that she was no longer angry with her. Maybe she could get out of going to ten moons? "Six moons." Maybe if she hurried, she could run and hide. Though there wasn't much to do, no one else to play with and she'd already made Valora angry. "Seven moons.." She murmured once again, her voice seeming to fade though she was sure that she'd have to start over if she didn't speak up. "Eight moons." She was a tiny bit louder now but not by much and again, she snuck a peek up at Valora, hoping to see any signs of forgiveness. She knew why Valora had punished her but she hated being in trouble. "Nine moons..." Now all she wanted to do was go and hide, she didn't want anyone to be mad at her.

If the alpha found out about this, would he still want her in the pack? "Ten moons..." She didn't want to be kicked out of the pack and even though she was finished counting, she stayed on the ground. At this point, she was scared to get up and she kept herself down until she was told to get up, her tail tucked between her legs as she waited for the go ahead.

Location At the Hunt xx Mood Worried xx Company With Team Rookxx OOC I'm really not feeling it when I was writing... sorry guys.

Varko had noticed the ratio of muscle in the second hunting party, and the brute saw a slight flaw in that. The pack wasn't going to end up as smoothly or as swift as Goliath's with his team of lithe Scouts and Hunters and it's single Healer and Omega during the kill, but if they were lucky enough, their strength could end the hunt all the more faster and have the stamina to keep on going to a second kill to perhaps fill up their stores, but as the Alpha wanted it, he said to only take what they needed, which is fair enough, but it would be nice to not have to look for food each time you felt a bit hungry. But any scraps they would end up having left all went to the pups and the elders anyhow.

Watching their two Scouts run up ahead, Varko decided to take up the space at the back, his heavier bulk resulted in having to take more time to reach a destination and the Warrior preferred to conserve his energy for the attacks than the effort it takes to travel. "May our ancestors bless this hunt with an abundant of food for days to come." He whispered under his breath as a silent prayer that may contradict Goliath's wishes, but it was an old habit the wolf has picked from his father. As the pack made their route, following Ghost and Whisper taking the lead, the wolves silver eyes wandered over towards the faes that cantered up ahead of him, watching the sway of their tails as they followed in momentum of their stride and the brute tried to match his strides with theirs but it wasn't easy for him to be able to keep at it for long before he missed a beat and then there was a couple of centimeters distance between them.

Breathing in deeply, he could pick up Rook's scent out from the others from the pack and the brute contemplated if he were to ever consider courting the fae. Make no mistake, she was beautiful as she was clever, however the Warrior had always felt a stronger connection towards her, as he did with both Jupiter and their brother Goliath. He supposed he saw them as his own siblings. After his own kin left the pack to pursue their own paths in life, Varko started to hang around the Alpha and his family and he grew close to them over the many moons. Initially, he was interested in one day courting Rook, but over time now, he started to see her less and less as a potential mate. Funny how things turned out. Although, he shared the same type of protecting qualities as Goliath to protect his sisters, he wasn't as possessive as the other brute. He was open to them being courted by other males, but they would have to be trusted by him as well as deal with their Alpha.

As Ghost returned with news of a small herd, Rook took to the lead naturally and instructed just what was needed to be done for a successful run. The plan sounded easy enough and the Warrior was quick to his paws to get into action once the Huntress gave off the signal. Using his bulk, he threw his weight into the sprint to start cutting off the main herd and dispersing them, scattering and inflicting fear and confusion upon them in hopes that their straggler would not be able to keep up with the main herd and perhaps also loose its footing. Snapping his jaws at a small gathering of stags that were old enough to brandish their already dangerous looking antlers, but still young enough to stick to the herd, Varko cause them to buck up and turn around in the opposite direction. He didn't want these young bucks sticking around and try to act brave and want to save their friend from being prey. No mater how inexperience they may be, their antlers would cause unwanted damage. Catching sight of their wanted deer running across the field, the brute noted that it was heading down for Whisper, and the Warrior gave out a couple of barks in warning for the female Scout in case she wasn't aware that she was being flagged. But it seemed that the fae was smart enough to have known and easily avoided the creature all together and even managed to keep it in place for a readied attacked in which Ghost took the opportunity and managed to get in a strong hit. Giving out a bark, Varko called out in encouragement and praise for the Scout before he was suddenly stopped in his tracks when a pair of hooves came rearing up at him and they were dangerously close. It seems that the lead stag has had enough of this little event and was seeking to take back stability in his herd and he started by lowering its head and take charge. With wide eyes and his ears pressed back against his head, Varko dug his claws into the ground to get out of the way, but his speed was not fast enough to avoid getting his collar nicked as the beast trampled by and started to make a quick beeline for his ailing herd mate. Assessing the situation quickly, the brute looked around for the other Warriors location as he called out for him. "Bjorr! We have to keep the stag away from the others. Attack it on its side!"

The snowy provider had been disappointed in her young pup but she knew very well how excitable that Maxie was and unfortunately needed to be taught that in Uktena was a pack full of honest wolves and they didn’t cheat no matter what. She looked at her pup that was on her belly and looking up at him. “Maxie, it may be a good way to scare a rabbit, but not an elk or anything larger than a hare. Even still, you did not make it to ten moons the first time did you?” she asked sternly and locked her golden hues with the pup’s. “In Uktena we make sure to follow all of the rules of the pack, including rules of games.” She said softly and when she listened to the pup count she smiled softly at her. “That’s my good girl.” She whispered.

As she started to count she nodded at each number and when she made it to three and apologized, she blinked at her, “I am aware sweetie, but just because we don’t want to lose doesn’t mean we can make our own rules. Thankfully this was a game and not a real hunt, or you would have been hurt.” She said and waited for her to count again, and when she did the provider smiled once more and kept her eyes down on the growing wolf. She was sure that this would teach her not to cheat once more, and if it did she would do the same thing, thankfully Valora was no harsh provider but she had her ways of making her pups behave.

Valora had not been mad at the young pup she was just disappointed in her, she was sure that she had taught her better than that. When she finally made it to ten moons she smiled and wagged her tail, she took her paw off the pup and licked at the younger wolf’s little muzzle. “That’s my good girl. Have you learned your lesson about cheating?” When the pup replied she nodded her head, “Let’s get some water and let us explore, if you promise to keep things safe and fair I will let you lead our adventure.” She said softly and looked at her. The tip of her tail wagged a touch and she looked down at the little pup hoping that she would be happy and possibly forgive her for punishing her. However as a provider was a provider which meant she was in charge of keeping and teaching the pups of the ways of the world and the ways of the pack an in this pack they simply didn’t cheat.

She smiled once more thinking of some other wolves, “Perhaps we can even find a hunter would can teach us a little more about hunting, or a scout to teach us about scouting. Would you like that?” she asked and stood up, Maxie had a lot of time before she had to think about the rank she wanted in the pack or even if she wanted a rank. Thankfully Uketna was quite a pack that she could have that choice, and no matter what she decided she would love the pup and hold a special part in her heart as all of her pups have done. They all left little paw prints of her heart and each of them were still close to her heart. She just hoped with time she would have her own pups that would love her as much as she loved the pack’s pups.

She was mildly irritated when Jah didn’t attack her for her blatant disrespect. Instead he faked a lunge with his jaws snapping, and simply continued to lie there. Her own fur bristled a bit. ‘Stupid brute.’ His words rolled off of her like water though. She could care less about the words he used to call her names, it was his lack of reaction to her annoying him that was pissing her off. ‘Stop being a lazy a** and stick up for yourself!’ She thought to herself. Perhaps if he did that, she’d be more likely to leave him alone. He was that was with any other wolf! So why not her? ‘He must think I’m some pathetic weakling or something. Ugh! I hate this stupid sack of fur. I’ll show him that I’m not pathetic!’ However, before Nev could really do anything else, the healer Storm appeared at her side, barking orders at her.

Nev turned her amber eyes towards the fae, a cold look reflecting in them. She didn’t take orders from ANYONE except the Alpha, and especially not some twitty little healer wolf. She only half listened to what the fae was saying, something about leaving Jah alone… And then something about being a mighty scout and picking on someone her own size. Nev’s look turned from cold to sarcastic. Had the stupid twit looked at her lately? Nev was smaller than most wolves, which was mostly the only reason she’d chosen to be a scout instead of a warrior. Her smaller size gave her more of an advantage in the scouting field. If Storm wanted her to pick on someone her own size, she probably meant a pup or some crap… Stupid wolves thinking she’s weak. A growl erupted from her throat, and she moved to pounce, but before she could, Jah was up on his paws.

He failed. Miserably. Putting too much weight on his injured paw caused the brute to bend and miss his attack. Nev snorted and rolled her eyes. “Sit down, idiot, before you break something. Let someone mighty take care of this,” she snapped, spitting the word mighty out as though it were poison. Why did everyone think she couldn’t handle herself? She’d prove that she could for sure. Without wasting anymore time, she cut in front of the brute and with a snarl leapt at Storm. She landed just to the side of her and threw her body weight to the side to unbalance the fae. Nev was then quick to duck her head in and clamp her jaws down on Storm’s hind leg. She held nothing back, digging her jaws in until blood began to seep into her mouth. She relished the taste, and then yanked her head, ripping flesh. Quickly after she scurried out of the way to avoid a counter attack from the fae.

Castiel had been very enthusiastical about the hunt. Excited enough to completely misunderstand his instructions. They were to wait for Rorin and Hati to drive the buck towards them, but instead Castiel was to eager and lunged out at the buck. He had tried to attack, but failed miserably. He didn't realize until he was herding the buck towards Rorin and Hati of the mistake that he had made. The healer's ears pinned tight against his head, what was Goliath and the others going to think? Castiel was such a fool! He shook his head, but the moment he lead the buck towards Rorin and Hati, the buck attacked out. Rorin had gotten a sharp hoof to the shoulder, and Castiel skidded to a halt. Had he just caused a pack member to become injured? Castiel nearly fainted, his heart was beating so fast. He whined and he paced, unsure and utterly confused. He was panicking and was becoming overwhelmed by the thoughts of causing harm to another member. However, when Rorin continued on and the hunt continued it calmed Castiel's mind slightly.

The hunted continued and it went horribly wrong. Zheana was the only one to be successful so far. Aven attacked and missed, Hati attacked and was tossed and injured. Castiel felt horrible, he had caused this all. If he had of waited, this hunt might have been successful. Instincts took over and he chased after the buck once more. Goliath then went, and missed as well. Castiel was feeling more and more guilty as time ticked away. This damn buck was injured and because Castiel's stupidity and bad timing, the buck was likely going to be getting away. Castiel growled and then Aven took a hit once more. Sadly, she missed and it was left to Castiel yet again. Growling he lunged towards the buck, full force and in attempts to land a good enough hit to drag the large beast down. Instead, a sharp hoof struck the shoulder of Castiel and Castiel tumbled to the ground with a yelp. He had failed, he had caused the pack to possibly go without food. If the other team sent out to hunt didn't get anything - they would likely blame it all on the healer. Castiel grumbled and pushed himself up, wobbling and in a lot of pain. His eyes watched as the buck fled, far from the sight of the wolves. The group had failed, and poor Castiel was to blame. Or at least he thought he was to blame.

Slowly, he lowered himself to the ground. His ears were pinned tight against his head, and his tail was well tucked beneath him. He feared that someone was going to yell at him, that someone was going to attack him. He prepared for the worst. He shut his eyes tightly and whimpered lightly. The stress of guilt and the pain that he had just endured were to much to handle at this very moment. What was the pack going to think of him now? A fool? A failure? Castiel was a nervous wreck, and he was very tempted to just run and never come back to Uktena. How could he show his face around the densite after a fail like that?

Hati moved quickly after the stag, despite the aching pain on his chest. He was not bleeding as bad as he hand been earlier. Goliath took his turn again, but failed, same with Aven. This hunt was frustrating him a lot more than it should. The pack was probably returning empty handed and should Ghost rub it in his face, he will not hesitate to rip his face off his scrawny body. The pack's healer, Castiel was up next and he too missed, receiving an injury to the shoulder, like Rorin himself had. The brute seemed to have been taking the miss a lot harder than he ought to, seeing him lower himself against the ground, it was a pathetic sight and sickened Hati slightly. The eurasian wolf was not about to have it, he chased after the fleeing stag, catching up as quickly as he could with whatever strength he could muster. The closer the stag got, the more anxious he became...he could taste its blood...he could taste triumph!

However, that was all but in his head, as for when he lunged, jaws aiming at the hing leg, they closed in the empty air. Snarling, he stood and watched as the stag fled. His hackles spiked up his fur, doubling his already massive form. He could not describe just how pissed off he was. The kill was long gone by now pretty much, and since most of them were injured, there was no way they could continue their chase. Wincing softly, his ears pinned back as his muzzle wrinkled even more, giving those present a full view of his sharp rows of teeth. The wound on his chest had ripped a bit more from how he had harshly handled his own body. Turning, he soothed down his muzzle, the hunt was lost, and the brute was in no mood to be pestered. He wanted to blame Castiel completely for the failure as well as Rorin, but s**t happens, and it was not their fault. With having wounded so many wolves, the stag held onto a thought of overpowering them whereas he could not overpower his opponent. Piece of s**t best be happy of that, no stag ever gets that lucky.

Hati gave Zheana a glance before taking his leave without permission, whatever trouble he'd get into, he could care less at this moment. His wound was probably worse than those who have a injured shoulder, as his ribs ached each time he inhaled and his wounds were still bleeding, the last thing he needed was to die from blood loss.

                                          “Who are you?”

The voice proceeded the owner through the underbrush and Castilla froze, golden eyes flicking further up the path until they fell across a silver-coated fae. Her ears pricked higher on her head as she observed the other wolf, wondering for a moment if she was real or if her tired and hopeful mind had conjured an apparition to end her isolation. But the faes scent was as real as the smell of wild flowers in the summer and her gaze lit like the sun reflecting off a lake. It brought Castilla to wonder just how long she’d been alone as for all her imagining, she was not sure how to proceed through this moment.

I am a wanderer,” she answered, her voice musical and tilted with the accent of a far-away land, “I was named Castilla by those I seek refuge from.” Speaking was difficult for her, as she had not used her voice in some time. There was a whispery rough quality that only reinforced the appearance of weakness, and she hated it.

“You’re approaching Uktena territory. If you’re just passing through, mind the borders, but if you have any business with us, state it.”

Uktena. It was odd to hear the word spoken by a myth-- a fairytale told by her pack. That this wolf standing before her was not just a story. She was dazzled and it took her a moment to remember she’d been asked another question; What business did Castilla have with Uktena, when she came seeking Sioux? She took a quiet breath,

I have come a long way to find your pack.. I ask only for sanctuary to heal, if you would not have me as a pack-mate and then I will be on my way.” She lowered her head with her words and waited in silence for the faes judgement. This was not the pack she had come seeking, but the opportunity to rest and to speak with those who shared her language could not be passed. How many times had she yowled to the crows or conversed with Ravens who only cawed in response. To be spoken to, to be recognized by a fellow wolf.. The emotions conflicting in her chest were almost physically painful.

The white beauty had managed to get in quite the hit, but the rest of the pack was not so lucky. Perhaps it was a bad day or perhaps they had taken water over their heads. Even Goliath had missed and once Castiel tried again the stag somehow managed to slip trough their defense. Rorin could only watch it vanish into the forest with a pang of guilt and sadness, perhaps if he hadn't come along the hunt would have gone better. But there was no taking it back now and the Omega turned back to his submissive role completely. One or more wolf was bound to be frustrated by now and if anybody could be messed with it was Rorin himself. With a heavy sigh he eyed Hati whom had gotten a hoof to the gut, he seemed okey. Though a bit unbalanced due to his breath being kicked out of him. Rorin himself had a deep cut in his shoulder and he gazed at it, or tried to inspecting the damage. It would heal and scar, as long as it was treated rightly. He would have to be careful on using it too much or it would open after it had healed. Currently it was bleeding and he had to stop that.

The Omega glanced towards the leader with his back hunched. His shoulder was bleeding and he had to do something about it. Their hunt had failed and he was pretty sure he wasn't the only one feeling bad about it, but they needed food and there was no ensuring the second party had any more luck then they did. Should they search for another pray or give up entirely? More then three members were hurt, none of them fetal, but their strength was diminished. To be honest the stag wouldn't have traveled far and the chances were that it was bound to die due to blood loss sooner or later. In the end it was entirely up to Goliath. The stag might have ventured out of their territory and even if it slowed down and died slowly there was no saying how much time that would take.

Rorin had no say on the matter. To be honest he wanted to search for something else, perhaps something smaller. Even if the Stag had been hurt the risk was immense and apparently too much for them to handle, at least today. Grimacing his shoulder stung as he moved. "Goliath. I have to deal with this wound. Do I have your leave to do so?" he questioned in a respectful tone towards the larger male. He held nothing against the leader, even the greatest wolf could loose a hunt. Even his father had done that. Goliath had done his very best and so had probably the rest, truly that was all Rorin asked of. Waiting for a reply he stood there eyeing the forest for things he could use in close proximity.

The sane healer of Sioux was perched upon a fallen tree, it was a foot or so off the ground but she enjoyed the slight height advantage. Her silver hues hidden from the world as she napped in the rising sunshine. The healer had spent the night searching for mushrooms and underneath her was a large leaf she had set them under. The sound of a rather small pond had lulled her to a slumber sometime after she found a rare patch of the hallucinogenic mushrooms. She had carefully picked a dozen before hiding them underneath her body, she had gotten worried of crushing them, and so she picked a large leaf off a brush nearby. It took her thirty seconds to realize perhaps a nap would be in order. She had leaped into the tree and readied for her nap.

A sound of someone coming caught her ear and her eyes fluttered open, she blinked twice allowing her sleep to leave her vision. Her nose wiggled slightly as she licked at it. She lifted her head and looked down at the pond she saw a rabbit poking his head from his home, and her silver hues locked onto the plump animal, her mouth filled with saliva as her belly let out a growl. She blinked once more and slowly raised up, the rabbit was nearing her little stash of poisons and her mushrooms, the rabbit however didn’t seem to notice the killer in the tree. The rabbit licked and nibbled at the mushroom and she smirked, the animal would be drugged up soon enough, and when the rabbit realized it wasn’t the best thing to eat she watched him swagger slowly back to his home perhaps to sleep it off, but she leaped from the tree and landed with her paws on his body crushing him instantly.

“Good morning Aerona.” She said softly as she lay down on the spot and started to eat her rabbit in peace. Pulling the fur from the animal was the first thing she did and once she had enough space to get her fangs into the meat, she sank her fangs into his belly and pulled ripping his skin and meat from his bones. She laid her paw across his head as she went to work eating him. The meal took about five minutes for her to eat and she even left a little meat on the bones before returning the rabbit to his home and stuck the bones in before covering it back up with snow and dirt. She licked clean her muzzle and went to the pond to quench her thirst. She lapped at the water for a moment before she found a patch of clearing when the forest and can watch the sun rise. It took a moment or two before she heard the sound of a wolf coming toward the pond that she has called her own, she lifted her head and waited until the form of another brown wolf came into view. The male was much like she was and in Sioux that was rare.

She blinked and simply ignored the male, Zevran, and returned her eyes toward the skies. The healer knew that she was going to return to the pack but for now she was simply enjoying the peace away from the pack. Sioux was full of loud, annoying wolves that just let their animalistic actions take over, it was stupid and she didn’t understand why they were just so stupid. Her mind started to wonder back to when she first found the group of wolves that became known as Sioux. She couldn’t believe that she had ever become part of a group of moronic wolves but they filled her needs and her small pack was going to die without a larger pack full of hunters. She blinked once more and turned her head to seeing if the brute had left her or not. Her head cocked to the side as she looked at the male, he was strong, and quiet but he was smart and she rather enjoyed that he was a rare gem like she was.

His eyes remained closed, the wind seemed to have been in his hidden companion's favor, as he had not scented her. His body fully relaxed and he held a serene look about him, which lasted for mere seconds as the wind shifted and slapped Aerora's scent against his nose. His nostrils flared as he took in her scent, recognizing who it was, he opened his eyes, dull yellow hues gazing over to her form. For how long had she been standing there. His eyes burned into hers as his face remained expressionless, giving him a cold look about him. The brute looked around for any other pack members, but it seemed like it was just the two of them, for now. His nose also caught a different scent, an all to familiar scent, the scent of the rare 'muscle relaxers' known to any wolves, Healers especially. From what he knew, Healers stayed away from any fungi, so why did Aerora possessed them? Tch, who cares, Zevran merely wished to have them, he has not been able to come across them in a long time, their effects should be...amazing. Standing, he looked at her, but his gaze held no challenge, it never did.

Looking around once more, he took in a deep breath in hopes to catch any other members scent, but again, none reached him. He just had to make sure. "What are you doing here?" His tone was cool, calm, and smooth. He was not being demanding, but simply wished to know, a rare thing. This specific fae held a calm and collected personality, much like himself, she was sane, and has never witnessed her lose her cool unlike the others. In a way, he was glad to have someone like her within the pack, but surely she couldn't be the only one, could she? Zevran knew Azazel held some sanity...if he ever searched for it. Not much for words at the moment, Zevran waited for Aerora to response. His interest wasn't on her however, but the earthy fungi scent that was emitting from somewhere around the pond.
