Rorin had stopped running once Sirona had caught up. Wynter shivered slightly as she was set down, but Iro was there almost immediately, nosing her all over to make sure she was okay. When she began nuzzling her, the little pup was quick to return the affection. Now that both Iro and Rorin were here she was beginning to feel a little less scared… But only a little. The healer fae began gushing, ending with an apology. When she lowered her voice, Wynter perked her ears in interest, and gave a small nod at the question. Iro turned from Wynter, her attention going to Rorin. Wynter watched curiously as her adoptive mother lunged towards her fellow healer, pinning him down. She began licking him and thanking him. Wynter scrunched up her nose in amusement. This definitely distracted her. Iro invited her over, and Wynter jumped to her paws quickly and scrambled over, bumping into him.

After Iro’s final comment, Wynter flicked her ears. “Thank you Rorin, for saving me.” Her voice was tiny and wavered a bit, but she kept her head up, and gave a small wag of her tail. She then positioned herself underneath Iro, just in between her two front legs. She gave a tiny yawn, feeling tired from the excitement of the morning. It had definitely been a lot for her. But she was happy too, her frights forgotten as she looked at the two wolves with her. She still didn’t know Rorin very well, but Iro really seemed to like and trust him, so Wynter did too. And she was definitely grateful that he’d saved her from drowning… That was the second time in her short, short life that she’d almost drowned… She shrunk down just slightly as she began thinking about it again. Wynter shivered slightly, her fur brushing against Iro’s legs.

Pushing up against her new mother, she willed herself not to be afraid. ‘You’re safe Wynter. You have Iro and Rorin here to protect you. You don’t need to be afraid,’ she thought to herself. She kept repeating it, and felt herself beginning to calm down a bit.

Devero had been trotting along back toward the den when a ghostly still fell over the world around him. A tension he hadn’t noticed before draped itself across his shoulders, bringing him to slow down-- almost palpable as it made the hair along his spine stand. The brute came to a halt, turning his gaze left and right as he tried to find the source of his the sudden sensation. There were no birds or squirrels. Everything had gone into hiding it seemed. He was about to start trotting again, at a quicker pace at that, when the earth began to buck under his feet. He yelped as he tumbled sideways and then regained his footing, feet splayed out at an angle to negate the trembles and head low toward the ground. He rode out the earths death throes, ears and tail up in alert.

He had experienced earth-shakes before and each time was as unnerving as the one before, though this one seemed mild in comparison to the ones he had experienced before. The trees quivered like the spines of a porcupine, showering him with stray leaves and debris. His breath came hard as he tried to remain calm-- few things could scare the brute, but this was an exception. Once it had finally quieted, he stood and waited just in case. Sometimes the earth would give one final shake, just like a dying elk. When nothing came, Devero chuckled at himself and shook his coat free of dust and whatever else had fallen from the canopy during that time.

He began trotting again, set on never speaking of his own cowardice-- he’d tell the pack that it hadn’t even phased him-- when a gushing sound peaked the edges of his senses. This time he didn’t stop, but instead turned his head in every direction as he tried to locate the source, confused on why he couldn’t. And then he found out why. There wasn’t a singular point of sound. The dams had broken in the earth-shake and a sheet of flood water was rushing in the direction of the packs den. Devero immediately broke into a sprint, ears pinned back as he pulled for every ounce of speed and stamina his large form could muster up. It was one of the rare occasions he wished he could be one of those fleet-footed scouts and he cursed when the water caught up to him.

Devero snarled when the head-waters of the flood swept his paws out from under him, causing him to turn sideways and fall, cold sheets of silt, mud, sticks, and water folding around him. Once the initial momentum passed him, he was able to get his paws back under him. He thrusted up and into a bound, sucking in lung fulls as the water sloshed around him, soaking him and making the exertion even more tiresome. He worked for higher ground as the worst of the floods passed by him. He prayed to the Gods the rest of the pack had gotten out or would get out when the water reached them.

By the time he reached the dens, he was practically heaving for breath, ears tilted back at the sight of his home evacuated and destroyed. He whined quietly to himself, poking his nose into the some of the dens hoping he wouldn’t see any ones lifeless body. So far he hadn’t. He had just waded through the waters to the fifth or fourth den when a howl sounded somewhere nearby. Deveros heart skipped with elation and he began to run again, bounding with his hind legs to move quicker through the water that wished to slow him. Once he’d crossed through the den to higher ground, he was able to shake off the worst of the water and pick up speed. He wasn’t sure how far he’d run when he began smelling signs of his pack. The strongest belonged to Goliath and his mate, so he followed those, coming to a slower trot when he caught a glimpse of them through the trees. They were staring at something.

Devero shook his coat out again, the thick locks still wet but considerably less so than before, then padded out of the surrounding brush to join them, an almost spitting image of the dark alpha, Goliath, save for his bright eyes and pronounced scars all over. He finally saw what they had been staring at: Zheana and the head of Jupiter. Goliath seemed frozen in place, the heartbreak clear on his face. Devero said nothing as he glanced at his alphas and then back to the head of the deceased wolf. His gaze lingered only momentarily on Zheana, hard and unreadable-- which was extremely rare for the brute.

He approached slowly with his head lowered, sniffing gently at the abused fur and skin of Jupiter, a low growl rising in his throat, which he forced to quiet, at what he found there. Devero had killed wolves before. He had torn out throats, he had ripped open hides, he had found glory in the wake of a downed enemy, but he had never, so mercilessly, slaughtered a helpless opponent. There was no fun in a wolf that could not fight back. Devero quickly banished the thought-- this wasn’t some wolf. This was Jupiter, a member of his pack and, moreover, someone very dear to his alphas. The brutes head swiveled back to Zheana as he looked over her wounds. There was something.. off about the orientation, but now was not a time to wonder over something so trivial.

How bad,” he muttered quietly, flicking his nose toward her wounds as an indication of what he meant, though he doubted there was a need for the clarification. He wanted to ask what had happened, where was the rest of the body, who had done this, but he didn't want his seemingly-cold demeanor to incite the wrath of Goliath, or cause him more pain. Devero had lost loved ones and he knew questions like those would be painful to hear. It also wasn't his place to ask. At any rate She would need medical attention. Which meant they needed a healer. Which meant they needed to find the rest of the pack, but Goliath was still shell-shocked. Devero knew he seemed callous to the revelation of Jupiters death, and the horribly gruesome manner of it, but he had never been one for outward displays of emotion. Always the cool-head. Ears propped, he thought on their next move. It wasn’t his place to say, but the niggling sensation at the back of his mind to get moving could not be ignored. Devero would mourn the loss when he knew the rest of the pack was safe. As of right now, he remained placid and unreadable.

                                                                Temp. Layout

Sid had awoke early that morning, intentions of catching prey for a particular white she-wolf before they met; the only wolf he had spoken to about his rendezvous with Saida was Rulihn and he had swore her to secrecy. Luckily for him, since it seemed the three of them all seemed to understand one another, it was as if Sideris never had to asked the female huntress of Uktena; after all, the battle had brought the three wolves together, hadn’t it? Sid had given his brother the courtesy of sleeping in that morning while he snuck out in hopes of finding any prey at all; with what terrible weather they’d been having, he doubted being able to track anything unless it was in direct sight. The dark male hd since gotten over his nervousness of the hunt after his last injury.

Sheer dumb luck led Sid to finding something fuzzy ambling about in the rain in it’s own hopes of finding food. His stomach growled as he realized it was ground pheasant and his form lowered towards the muddy earth, trying his best not to drag his belly through the noisy muck. Picking his paws up carefully and setting them down, Sideris had nearly been in in pouncing range when the earth began to shake, sending the bird flying off and Sid scrambling to keep his balance. A sharp yelp could be heard along with the sound of rushing water which was by now rising from forming crags in the earth. Thinking he recognized the alarmed call, the brute did his best to struggle through the rising waters to stumble upon the sight of Saida being slammed against a rock, scarecly above the water with the swollen stream. Alarmed, Sideris rushed forward and plunged into the cold water, putting aside his new fear of rushing water and grasped for the fae’s scruff. Hanging onto the huntress as best he could, he thrust his paws downward to propel him forward, effectively dragging Saida to the shore and up onto its slippery bank. Nosing her side as he aided her upwards, he scented her to make sure she was alright. ”Come on, we have to get up the mountain. The meeting place should be safe enough” he urged, doing his best to coax her along. He hoped she wasn’t too badly injured from the rushing waters slamming her into a boulder, he couldn’t afford to lose her.

Thoughts raced through the brute’s head, hoping and praying that the place they had met twice prior was still intact, unbroken by the earth’s shaking. To Sid’s dismay, the sturdy rocks were split down the center, leaving him to believe they hadn’t been as solid as he had thought. ”A little further Saida, there’s a place not too far up the mountain. We should be safe there!” he pleaded, helping her along as best he could until at last they could spot a sheltered lean-to like formation of rock which seemed untouched by the storm and rain. Allowing the white fae inside first, he stayed positioned with his back towards the entrance to block the wind from blowing in any rainwater into the entrance. Vigorously he licked her fur, trying to dry her before he would relax some. ”Are you okay Saida?” his voice was soft, concerned.

Rorin was certain Sirona would make a great mother one day, there was no doubt in this thought as he saw the female interact with the smaller pup. The affectionate rubs and nuzzles were like true mother and daughter interaction and he smiled. At least the equivalent of a wolf smiling. The previous omega watched on, the display warmed his heart like nothing else and he was truly happy for the both of them. He made no attempt to disturb their little moment, actually attempted to give them some sort of privacy by looking away, rather then staring at them contentiously like some creep. Instead his brown hues searched the area around them, looking over the destruction mother nature had caused on their land. The sight was truly sad, but Rorin was none the less grateful for the fact that both Sirona and Wynter was safe for the time being. He only hoped the rest of the pack was as well.

Though he made sure to voice his worries clearly once the female returned her attention to him he was all ears. His head shifted slightly when there was sudden movement frown the brown beauty. Poor Rorin had no real time to react, had this been the enemy he might have lashed out in defense. But seeing as this was Sirona, a trusted member of his pack he merely lowered his defenses and oofed as he landed on his back. Brown hues reflected by Sirona's own orange tinted orbs. For a moment he lost his mind completely, so shocked and surprised he had no words to offer. The wolf was completely mute as the fae licked at his cheeks and gave her choice of voice. And gosh did he feel embarrassed, sure he had saved Wynter, but did he really deserve such a immense gratefulness? The nuzzling and licking commenced further and the healer felt immensely confused as to why the female was doing this to him of all wolfs.

"Well, are you going to help me get him or not?"

It was a sudden realization he understood what Sirona's actions meant. What her words meant. Poor male was so startled his eyes couldn't go any wider than they had already been. This was just so surreal, he had gone from a lonely Omega who was not allowed to mate, to a healer who had the affection of a amazing female. He had no idea how to explain this feeling he had, perhaps relief, happiness? Rejoice? The gray colored wolf was pretty sure there was no word that could properly give his current emotion any justice. When little Wynter bounded in after a clear thank you from Sirona his heart sank in a way never before.

When all was done and the fae was off he rolled carefully and got up tentatively, brown hues cascading over the beauty in front of him. What was he supposed to say? Do? Really the poor male had no clue, after all the prospect of courting had been illegal for him just mere days ago. Of course he had his dreams, just like everybody else, but carrying them out had always seemed impossible for him. Now the possibility was clearly there, right in front of him, ready to be grasped. He had always considered Sirona to be a great wolf, a great healer. A beautiful creature whom he loved spending time with.

Rorin felt warm, despite the cold of the rain and atmosphere. His body was hot and his heart racing to match his thousand thoughts. Eventually he took a few steps forward, letting his instinct take the lead. He knew he needed to think less and do more, especially now when Sirona had revealed herself so. So he returned the affection by inclining his head, brushing against the side of Sirona's own. His tongue darting out to flick over her ear gently and he hummed roughly.

"Oh Sirona, I don't deserve somebody like you" he croaked, voice hoarse and careful. It was clear the healer was still not quite used to having the rank he did and his confidence was no where near what other males held. At least towards this, he believed this beauty could do so much better. "But there is no doubt, I'd treat you like a Queen" he added with a low chuckle, making his intention clear. Nuzzling his own body against hers affectionately all the while, hoping he wasn't pushing his limits. Though considering what Sirona had just done to him, he truly doubted it. "Thank you Sirona" he suddenly blurted, withdrawing to look into her eyes, his expression filled with joy.

Perhaps it was confusing for somebody else to understand exactly why he was thanking her, but to him it made complete sense. None had given him this affection, no wolf had seen him as mating material. Sirona was the first to notice him in such a way and that, to him was more then enough reason to thank her.

For a long time it was silent and though Jah kept close to Nev at all times to make sure she was safe he also gave her room to take care of herself. After all she was a grown wolf and fully capable of doing so. Jah was certainly not going to be holding her paw the entire time, that was for sure. Nev would have to carry her own weight, no matter how much he might love her. Once a Sioux, always a Sioux. That would never change, for sure. While they walked he also looked back towards the sour pup, or novice. Whom could clearly have been a tad happier being safe at the very least. Didn't she realize that he could have just left her there to die? And she was hanging her head like some sort of spoiled brat. Really Sayen was a awful mentor for sure.

The silence broke once the black female spoke and he perked up, looking ahead. Nodding in agreement he followed after and was thankful for a bit of leeway from the constant rain. At the entrance he shook himself lightly before padding over to the beauty, whom was currently grooming herself as well as scolding Fae. Jawaazhi merely shook his head and sat down himself, licking his paws idly for the time being. He let the two females bicker among themselves, at least until Nev leaned against him, which he then lied down by her side and nuzzled into her neck. Not caring if Fae noted all this. Azazel was already aware so there was nothing the novice could say or do to really harm their relation. At least not that he was aware of.

"I won't save your a** the next time you stand around all lost" he murmured roughly, resting his head against his paws for the time being. Gaining some comfort of warmth from his companion by his side, despite them both being drenched to the core. Sayen's wrath or not, he would not go out of his way for somebody else again. "It's time to grow up" he added harshly, golden hues wandering over to the smaller female among them, now that he was actually looking he noted the scars. His features furrowed slightly, but he did not connect the dots. Fealyn could have gotten those scars anywhere and in his mind the chances of his pup being alive was simple impossible. The uncanny familiarity the novice had to the female he had once loved was also dismissed. That fae had long been dead to him, her looks were not worthy of his memory.

Sighing he closed his eyes for a mere second, resting as he listened to the sounds of the rain falling against all there was. Once his golden hues were revealed once more he averted from the female, no matter how much he didn't want to be reminded of that stupid female the novice still resembled her. So instead he turned towards Nev, the one whom he felt he could somewhat trust by now. To a extent. "Ah Nev, Azazel knows" he merely murmured roughly and didn't add much more, there wasn't much more that needed to be said. Considering the fact he would have mentioned it if the male hadn't approved and plus he would have been a far more fowl mood and he clearly wasn't that low in spirits. Jah seemed pretty content, despite their circumstances.

xxxxZ h e a n a fortunately obeyed with every being within her and head back to Uktena with a simple request to not forget her while she was gone. Azazel snorted, but said nothing. The Alpha's fur spiked slightly when she called out a distress call for the other pack to find her. He was put on edge slightly got his instincts were telling him to go to whoever was calling for help, but he worked hard against them for he knew now was not the time and frankly it was his set up. Smoothing his fur he started walking away with an evil smirk and a glare of taint, it was over and his plan was going to be settling in soon. Heading off alone there were many sounds to be heard in the surrounding area, yelps, cries for help, growling, all echoes from all kinds of directions however but music to his ears nonetheless. Part of him wished this was a brawl like the raid several moons ago, the wails of pain could still be heard within his mind, turning on many feelings he hadn't felt in some time. He wanted to kill, murder anything that breached his space who didn't belong there. He wanted to deal pain to something, someone, anything.

xxxxA delightful scent filled his nose, the coppery metallic odor blood, fresh blood at that. Licking his chops he silently moved towards the scent until he embarked on a behind he recognized. The sinful sound of breaking bones sent a shiver down his spine and he became excited in a way any normal wolf wouldn't. Azazel's approach had not gone unnoticed for the pretty little fae's head rose immediately. A grin was returned to Sayen upon her offering of one, she then spoke of a gift. Watching the bloody water drip from her muzzle was rather attractive, but what was even better that she knew just what he liked. A tail wag was evident of his pure pleasure as his beautiful gift splatted loudly against the water sitting on the ground before him. "You've done well my sweet." he whispered as he dipped his head, placing the already punctured heart between his teeth. He could almost feel it pumping within his mouth still, the warm blood seeped slowly out and filled his jaw, shocks of pleasure surged through his body was he chomped down harshly splashing blood everywhere before swallowing a large mouthful of blood and organ guts. Licking his maw clean he approached Sayen further, "My my that was delicious..." he whispered in an almost longing voice but his ears perked for a set or two of paws were approaching. Instinctively he moved and stood before the fae, as though to protect her... as soon as he realized he was doing as such he kept walking not skipping a beat allowing her to be exposed. By no means was he going to allow her to think he cared, not after their last talk that was to mushy for his tastes.

xxxxT h r o u g h the trees he spotted an unknown fae dragging an injured or perhaps even dead wolf towards them. Growling loudly he warned them to come no further, not that he was giving them a chance to get away... no that would be to kind. Just as he was about to attack a fae he actually recognized was spotted. "Akela?" he questioned in a dark voice, with no tone of surprise seeping through. Mischief radiated from her gaze and he snapped in anticipation for her to hurry the ******** up and explain herself. Ahh, another gift. Delightful. The explanation was given. A throaty laugh escaped his mouth as he approached the shaking fae before him, "Hum, a well deserved reward is what she shall receive dearest Akela..." he spoke with venom on his tongue, walking around the scared fae he sized her up, his mouth salivated for he wanted to murder this b***h without a second thought. However, a second thought had infiltrated his brain and he snarled loudly over [Cornibus]. "You see, precious child. I do not deem you worthy of the honor to die at my fangs..." he began, speaking softly with a harsh tip to his words he glanced at Akela then Sayen with a smile on his face for he had a great idea, "Out of the goodness of my heart I will let you live. But. You must do something for me in return." he growled making this sound much better than it truly was, making the worthless fae feel as though her life had been spared. Looking at what was left of the yearling beside him, he smirked, Akela had disposed of this mutt divinely. Growling sharply he threw his head down and in one fell sweep riped the head right off the shoulders of the wolf. Holding it by the bone he pushed it into the fae's face until she took a hold of it within her own mouth. "Take this to your precious Alpha, let him know Azazel is watching." he growled harshly and snapped viciously at her, "NOW!" he yelled at her to get her pathetic a** moving. But the puppy just coward and pissed herself. This angered the Sioux Alpha instantly. Bounding towards the Uktena fae he snarled loudly as his jaws clasped hard on her spine. He could feel her quivering beneath his teeth, a harsh snap could be heard as he broke her spine. Pulling away he smiled as the wolfs body fell to the ground at his paws. "You had so much life to live yet little one." he spoke as though he actually cared as he circled her now paralyzed body. Grabbing onto her tail he viciously ripped it off and tossed it aside as wails of pain echoed through the forest. Becoming annoyed of her blood curdling cries he pushed her over with his paw and tore her throat out. Choking on her own blood Azazel looked down at her and cocked his head to the side, "For someone so afraid to run you sure are a fighter..." he cooed towards her, she was still alive, barely but still able to hear him. Without further adieu, he tore through her skin, and worked to get her heart. Once he ate his prize he smirked down at the now lifeless and heartless creature beneath him.

xxxxL o o k i n g to the Sioux faes before him who he knew also murdered Uktena wolves today "Look at you two, what a victory this pack has overcome thus far. Uktena will extinct in no time with mindless murders such as these." he spoke almost endearingly. Moving towards the headless body once more he began to tare away at the flesh, making his way to the heart, ripping it out and eating it within one quick and loud swallow. "I feel these hearts making my will and hunger for Uktena blood stronger and stronger. Now, lets find the others and explain to them that the good doers are slowly being killed off and we may just have the forest to our disposal sooner than not." a dark, deep laugh erupted from deep within his belly that echoed through his throat into a loud eerie howl that even made his own fur stand on end. "The Evergreen Forest will soon be mine." he whispered in a longing and nearing accomplishing voice, just as spooky as the howl only moments ago. With that he walked towards the two fae's who just witnessed his overpowering lust of power and walked between them, rubbing each fae. "Alphaship is up for grabs and right now the two of you had caught my eye, who will win this battle? Who dares accept the fate of being my mate?" he taunted the faes, his voice mutating into a longing lust in a cunning yet charming fashion. Snapping his jaws harshly, as though to pull each of the faes from whatever fantasy was playing out within their one track minds right now he laughed, "Lets go ladies, you can fight for me later, after we bring the pack together again." and with that the moment was over and he turned to walk towards where he knew Sioux would be. Up the mountain.

Goliath encouraged her that their pack was indeed safe. After a few moments she knew they needed to keep moving. The dens could flood at any moment. Besides they really needed to find their pack members. Goliath rested his head against her neck before voicing her thoughts, saying that they would find everyone. She nodded with determination and the two headed out. Their paws began to lead them in the direction of higher ground – any wolf would head to high ground given the flooding. She stayed close to Goliath’s side, still worried. After a little while he once again comforted her, saying they would find them. She nodded again but didn’t say anything. She just kept pushing forward. Some time later she sniffed the air and paused. The scent of blood, thick and coppery, filled her senses and she gave a small whine, looking to her mate. He had smelled the same thing, his fur was standing on edge and he looked braced for attack.

Her ears perked up, hearing a howl of distress coming in the direction of the scent. With another quick look at Goliath she quickly ran after him as he went to find the source of the cry. A white wolf came into view and Aven bounded forward until she could see who it was clearly. Goliath halted as well and gave her an incredulous look. He then voiced the fae’s name. Zheanna. She nodded when he added that they thought she was dead. During the raid by Sioux the scout fae had been lost, they’d just presumed she’d been dead… She looked at her curiously until she noticed Goliath stop completely in his tracks. She glanced at him and then followed his line of sight.

A low whine escaped her as she saw a head, and, giving a few sniffs, realized it was Jupiter… Or what was left of her… Goliath uttered a whine, and she turned to him, pressing close to him in comfort. Her heart simply shattered for him when she looked into his eyes and saw nothing but despair looking out of them. She knew there was nothing she could do to fix this… Poor Goliath… She wanted to howl to the sky about the unfairness of this, but she held her tongue, simply pressing against him more. She perked her ears as she heard a wolf approaching, a snarl forming in her throat. If that damned pack had come back expecting for more wolf blood, they would be surprised! However it was just Devero, a warrior of the pack. She turned her focus back to Goliath.

The warrior brute approached the mangled remains of her mate’s sister and muttered something. Aven didn’t hear what it was, and didn’t bother asking him to repeat. She gave Goliath a quick lick on his muzzle. “Oh Goliath… I am so, so sorry about your loss,” she murmured quietly. “She was a great wolf and will be missed by many… We’ll figure out which of those maniacs did this and I promise you Uktena won’t let them get away with this death.” Giving him another lick she looked at Zheanna and stepped towards her. Aven decided to take charge, knowing that Goliath was in no mindset to. “Did you see what happened to her? And what happened to you? We thought you had died. The last anyone had seen of you you’d been killed by a Sioux wolf and dragged off…” Her voice was quiet and calm. She kept any accusations out of her tone, wanting Zheanna to feel like she was in a safe place. However the questions were firm, as she expected solid answers.

For a short while she lied there, whining and complaining about the pain that was very much real. Blood and mud colored her fur into a grotesque hue that was no were near her normally pristine white coat. She honestly felt disgusted lying there, waiting for some wolves that might never show up, it was pathetic and weak. But eventually there was a sound in the shadows of the bushes and the fae stared at the approaching wolves, one was Goliath, the other Aven. Faking the expression of relief as well as a mixture of sadness and happiness, of course she was overjoyed that she was found, but considering what she was carrying.. The meeting was more than enough sad. "Goliath.." she croaked, her voice cracking at the seams, wanting to warn the other what he would see there on the ground. His dead sister, the poor fae had met her demise in a ambush created by Zheana herself, yet there was no evidence of that.

After all she had both old and new wounds all over her body, many of them created by Azazel himself or Talon. Honestly had it not been for the fact that she was resilient she most likely could have died. When the alpha noted the head, the pain was clear. "I'm so sorry Goliath" she whined carefully, trying to move, but failing and just ended up lying there broken. Part of her was cringing, wanting to walk away and return to Sioux where she truly belonged, wanting to laugh in Goliath's face at the demise of his precious little sister. Of course that part was hidden, truly. When Zheana displayed regret, empathy and loss it was all real, her hues reflected all these emotions.

Goliath was broken and frozen, how easy it would have been to kill him then. Just snap over his head and finish the entire thing. Oh how Azazel would both hate and love her then, after all he very much wanted the 'honor' himself. There was also a third wolf approaching, with the name of Devero, a wolf she didn't know extremely well, but he was obviously the observant kind so she always made care to be extra careful around him. The warrior was commenting about her wounds and Zheana just frowned, there wasn't much else for her to do. There didn't seem to be anything else to be said towards the male who showed up out of nowhere.

Instead she focused on Aven whom now seemed to be taking the lead, how odd. She seemed.. Different somehow, more authoritative in a way, perhaps it was due to her promotion, after all she seemed to have been given the reward of alphaness. Under any other circumstances the female would have scoffed, because the thought of Aven being a alpha just seemed ridiculous. Now was not the time to make mockery out of the fae so she gazed at the female with gentle orange hues. "Aven.. it was horrible" she started and whined, making it sound absolutely horrid whatever she had gone trough.

"T-They took me with them, tortured me for days.. Playing around with me like a piece of meat.." she croaked, voice low and pained her gaze now faltering to look down, as if ashamed. "I-I had no chance all i could do was continue breathing" she added, truly the scout sounded devastated, even scared. There was no limit to how well her acting skills came out. "And then.. they dropped me out here.. used me as bait to lure out Jupiter" further her voice dropped, now so pained that there was question about the guilt the fae felt within herself. "When Jupiter came out to protect me.. This black wolf.. I think is name is Talon.. Ambushed her.." finally her voice broke entirely and if a wolf had been capable of crying the female would be. "I tried protecting her.. I really did.. But I couldn't.. I'm so sorry.. " that was the last of it, the female buried her face into her own paws, body shaking lightly.

xxxAzura despite having no idea where her brother was anymore was happy to at least be with two of her pack mates. She feared the worst though when it came to her brother. It was likely he was no longer alive. After all, she herself had almost slipped into the deep water something that would have definitely lead to her end. As with how strong the currents probably were in this moment there was no way she would have the strength to be able to paddle her way out of there. So, for her part she was grateful that her brother had saved her from her watery end. However, that probably meant he had lost his own life in the process. For now however, she would remain hopeful that they had just been separated and if it really was that he had fell into the water that he was strong enough to get out of it.

xxx“Alright, let’s do this,” she took a deep breath and pushed on with her pack mates. Hopefully, they would make it through this and be reunited with the rest of the pack. Staring at the water nervously she couldn’t help but dread the fact that she would have to jump into there. Well, there was no way they could end up dead like this. They would make it through they have to. Huffing she took a cautious step forward. However, it did nothing to calm her and she found that perhaps her best bet would be to just go at it. Otherwise, she would end up more nervous and end up psyching herself out.

xxx“Ready when you are,” and with that she launched herself into the water. However, she stuck close to both Caith and Cerelia. Luckily with the three of them working together they managed to cross the water without much of a problem and Azura had never been more happy then she was in that moment to be back on land. “I think it might be wise to at least try to find some form of shelter. We’re not going to be able to find anyone until this clears up anyways. What do you think Caith?” She wanted his opinion as well. As it made sense for them to discuss and decided together as a team. “I just hope when this is all over that most of us made it out alive.”

She had stated that crimson was her color, the male agreed but teased her by saying it was to bad it wouldn't last. Flashing a dark toothy grin she looked at him in very dark fashion, in an almost daring way. The conversation shifted over to the old dead man and how she wasn't ready to settle down. Bastyn seemingly understood, making sly comments on how she was young and how it wasn't her fault that Vuk could be her dad... she was instantly disgusted by such a thought. The next thing he said about her betting better suited with a grizzly she burst out laughing, "He'd only be so lucky." she stated, mostly serious. The two wolves headed off in search of the rest of their pack. Drops of rain continued to beat down on her pelt, annoying her more and more each drop. Why couldn't the rain let up, didn't mother nature know it was causing problems already? However, there was only one mountain within the Evergreen Forest and it separated the two wolves territories, this meant if each wolf had half a brain they'd figure to climb it to safety. They were bound to run into one another soon if not already. This was when she made the comment of heading to higher ground.

xxxxA g r e e m e n t was clearly made, however, things soon got personal. Storm was at a loss of words for he was worried about his own sister, and in her mind she was on the verge of becoming a traitor and... here was only one thing they deserved. The healer believed in this punishment wholeheartedly, but something within her told her to hold off on stating as such to Bastyn in regards to Saida. Glancing at him he seemed to be looking at her in such a way that made her feel as though she were supposed to know something. Growling she kept moving, "I hadn't seen Saida in quite some time, she seems to mind her own within the pack not really speaking with anyone." she stated, biting her tongue for a second time in regards to what she really wanted to say. A quick change of subject was all they needed, this was when they had friendly banter of her using him as a punching bag for lack of a better term. He was soon to inquire if she liked what she tasted as he stopped staring her in the eye, she merely snorted and tossed her head away in a snotty, full of herself fashion. What the male said next made her insides skip a beat for some unknown reason. Stopping, she then looked at him like he had her, "I wouldn't expect anything less" Storm spoke in a whisper, in an almost longing, way that indicated she'd genuinely enjoy such an occasion.

xxxxC o n t i n u i n g forth she smiled to herself, the two of them were going to get along just famously if he kept this up. Thankfully, Bastyn was not flaunting himself about like pathetic Vukasin was. The white male within her was flirting with her but not in a super obvious way which she liked. They were able to banter back and forth about whatever, and still hold raw feelings that neither of them would admit. Surely, this was just the beginning of whatever feelings she was feeling, she couldn't talk for Sebastyn though. This was getting interesting. As the two wolves headed up ground and loud crack of thunder boomed overhead. An almost purr like growl came from her mouth. "As much as I would love to stay out in this dreadful rain, with thunder there is downpour, perhaps we should find shelter." she said, lowering her nose to see if she could scent anything that would help in any way. Several minutes passed and the rain, as Storm said, had become heavier the two of them happened upon an old, abandoned bear den. "This should work for now, the scent of bear is pretty stale, I reckon one hasn't been in here for several weeks now." she stated, hoping sh was correct. Walking in slowly, she watched and listened for anything unusual. Upon deeming the den empty she plopped her rump down and looked at Bastyn as though he were supposed to entertain her now or something.

                                                                        User Image

Even with the pouring rain and unslightly shivers of the Earth, Xira was perfectly content laying on her rock, relaxing as she stretched herself slim. She had made mention to her brother that higher ground should be found, but for the time being, she was having far too much fun watching the other wolves scramble for safety. The fae was sure that it would take more than some wind and water to take her down, she was her brother's kin after all. The alpha's sister blinked in annoyance as new company made itself known. Her eyes flickered to Lukav with a disinterested affection. She cared for the pup, but his father had pampered him up so nicely that she would have loved to throw the scrawny mutt to Uktena most days, and now, with her and Vetis finally becoming an approved pairing, this runt risked taking attention from her own pups if she ever decided to have them. She raised her head, listening to his whines and complaints. So he was afraid of the river? A sigh escaped her at the realization that he had actually refered to her as his mother for once. Well, that made it a little harder to leave the scamp to drown. Azexira made her way to her paws, yawning in sheer boredom. She felt kind of bad for this pup. Lupen only knew where his lineage was, and surely it was no where near as extrordinary as what herself and her brother had the honor of coming from.

"I mentioned finding higher ground to your...uncle. Are you brave enough to make that journey? I'll give you the choice, run to the mountians and hide, you'll be safe. Or follow me to find a place for this pack, and risk not coming back." Her voice was cold, chilled even more by a gust or wind that raked itself through her fur. She had addressed him as if he was an adult, giving him a chance at some sort of self preservation. Sooner or later, the pup was going to have to learn to think for himself, and if he wanted to live long enough to try, following her may not have been the best option he could think of. She shrugged the young pup off, not waiting for his words, seeing as his actions would speak louder about the type of brute she could expect him to become in the future. As she turned her back on him the fae thought for a moment, letting her instincts take over as she began bounding towards the wooded side of the mountain instead of trying to find safety in the slick wet rock that was closest as she was sure a lot of the rest of the pack had done. Just because it was easier to get to, did not mean that it would be the better place for the pack to excell.

Xira's strides were long and determined, not slowing until she neared the base of the thicker mountain woods. She looked behind herself, not seeing Lukav but of course as she had learned with her mate's son, it did not mean that the young pup was not around. The warrior made her way up the rocks easily, already noticing that, though the rain was still heavy, fallen leaves made her steps more secure and an abundance of the water seemed to run right through the rocks into the Earth below them meaning that so far, she wasn't trudging through puddles trying to find her way. Quickly the fae scouted a bit higher, sniffing around in holes and piles of debris for those lingering scents of rabbit, deer, anything she could find to make it certain in her mind that there was food here, and now, she just needed to find promised water before she could rush back to her brother with her findings. Surely he would be happy to not have to live in bare rock and rubble, exposed to all the elements. She stuffed her nose into another hole, finding this one was big enough to slip through once she had cleared some of the branches out of the way. From the faintness of the smell it had been a fox hole at one point, but now, as she rubbed her sides against the earthen walls, it was hers. The den wasn't huge, but it would be good for the pups and providers.

Scrambling from the first den, Xira sniffed the proximity, finding a few more suitable dens, one large enough to easily be the main den and another, a bit more secluded, she couldn't help but think her darling brother would appreciate, especially if that badger ever came back to claim it. Home and a good snack. She laughed half heartedly and took one more look around her new little kingdom. It may not be as big starting out, but the walls of some of the dens could be dug out more, and the food was there, so if she happened to find a stream of sorts, it would be more than good enough for Sioux to start over. The warrior headed to the flat rock side of the mountain, not by heading down, because she knew what that way had to offer, but by heading across. After only a few minutes of travel, her footing slipped, her rear quarters sliding to the side and threatening to let her off the mountain the painful way. Xira dug her claws in, snapping at a loose branch to pull herself back to safety where she sat panting for a moment. It was a cliff where the mountain side jutted out over the valley below, and looking at it from where she was now, it would be an amazing place for Azazel to make announcements once it became less deadly, of course, he wasn't as clumsy as she had been. Hearing a rushing of water, Xira inched closer to the short side of the cliff, realizing only one side offered a deadly drop off, and the other, offered a short jump and a running mountain spring. "Lu if you're here, be extremely careful, but follow quickly, we are running out of time."

She leapt from the rock, pausing to drink at the spring to make sure the quality of water was something that wouldn't threaten to poison the rest of their pack. "It's safe to drink, but hurry along." She took off again, this time leaping skillfully from rock to rock until she thought she was close enough for the others to hear. At that point, she skidded to a halt, raising her chin to the sky and letting out a long howl as loud as she possibly could. She heard her own voice echo back to her and after waiting only a few seconds she howled again. The first to mean I have found safety and the second to call her brother to her. She had completed the task he had put in front of her, and there was no way he would be disappointed by what she had found. Xira laid in the brush, burrowing into the sticks and leaves as camouflage until the alpha arrived. She had considered calling for the pack to rally on her location, but she had chosen against it, for this was the job of an alpha or his beta and as of this moment, she knew better than to act in the place of either. Her brother would reward her as he saw fit for her success.

RAWRToka opened her eyes, feeling like she'd been out for a long while. Really it hadn't been longer at all, but long enough that the water rushed by her paws while she was on her perch on the rock. Nervous, she whined and pulled herself up. She felt a stink in her shoulder and knew she'd done a number to it, but she'd have to suck it up if she wanted to survive. Physically she was exhausted but her instincts had her trying to find a way out of the mess she was in. Taking a leap of faith, she dove into the water, only to find it wasn't entirely that deep yet. It was to her stomach, so she had to awkwardly jump and slosh through the water, anything to get through it. Toka sank in the mud, making things worse and had he growling and whining with frustrations. Finally, she made it to high ground and pulled herself up with all her strength. Panting heavily, she turned to look at the rushing water as it was slowly rising up on the bank that was slowly crumbling away as the water rose. The fae shook her coat out one more before she took off running up the hill towards where she hoped safety to be.

There for a bit she panicked, but not because of the water. She had no clue where he pack mates were, and she loved them dearly. Toka wasn't sure what she would do without a pack, she knew the loner life and certainly didn't want to relive it. She took up quiet whines as her anxiety rose. Toka tried her best to focus on climbing farther up into the hills, so hard that she very nearly missed the scent of Whisper and Ghost. With an excited yelp she veered off course and broke through the foliage to find not only the two scouts, but her fellow hunter, Leto, as well. Ecstatic, she barked at them and ran straight to Whisper where she licked her profusely with her tail wagging. "Oh, my gosh! You guys are alright! I was so worried about you guys, and of course the rest of the pack!" She turned her attention to Ghost, worrying over him and scanning him for wounds just like she had to whisper just second ago. Next she turned her attention to Leto and washed his face too, just in case he felt like he was missing out on the pack love too. Once she was done worrying over her pack mater she stood and glanced over her shoulder like a half sane, paranoid wolf. Her once flying fuzzy tail was once more hugging her legs as she spoke. "I don't think we should linger here much longer, that water is rising fast!" she whimpered at the end of her sentence, glancing from one wolf to another and waiting for them to get a move one. She just found her pack mates and certainly wasn't going to leave either of them behind.

xxxxF o r the first time in his life as Alpha, Goliath, felt completely useless and helpless. Standing there, as the pain broke his heart of seeing his sister brutally severed head his ears dropped and his tail dropped as well. The large male was completely stunned, his breathing was shallow. Never in his life had he ever acted so vulnerable. Aven was of course at his side but he took no notice of this either. Goliath could feel his heart begin to beat faster as his mate pressed against him to attempt to comfort him. He grunted weakly in acknowledgement. A snarl caught his attention and he noticed a fourth wolf there, a male, Devero. Goliath whined lightly as he moved towards the item of pain, wishing the other would leave Jupiter's head be. The male did just that, moving towards Zheana to look her over, even ask her how bad her injuries really were. Sure, as the Alpha, he should have asked such a question and he fully planned on doing so... however finding his sister's head before him kind of paused everything around him. When the Alphaess licked the Alpha's muzzle he was seemingly unmoved, just stood there looking at the nothingness around them, incapable of gazing once more on the body part of his little sister. Deep down, Goliath appreciated the kind words Aven offered to him, however, he had no reply. The word death echoed in his head, touchy subject.

xxxxR e c e i v i n g another lick from his loving mate he pushed his large head towards her and gave her a lick of thanks on her muzzle just before she stepped forward. Staring at the ground as Aven took point he had nothing to add for she was asking everything that was swirling within his brain, the words just would not come from his mouth. If he were able to fully comprehend what was going on right now, and not have his thoughts heavily clouded by grief, he would find himself proud of her for stepping up. Regardless of what she may think about herself, he knew she would be a perfect Alpha Female within the Uktena pack. Unfortunate that her skills had to debut in such a horrible fashion but proper nonetheless. Zheana's voice threw him out of his daze, looking at her as she spoke he was focused on the details she was providing. Shivers ran down his spine when she spoke of being tortured for days, he felt so deeply sorry for the fae. She did not deserve to be tortured, how could wolves be this cruel? They occurred again, the second his sisters name was spoken. Looking away, he wished he could stop listening, he did not want to hear anymore of what she had to say. An unfamiliar name was then given, Talon she said. Looking at the injured fae he stared at her, almost surprised she remembered his name. But in reality she'd been held captive a long time with Sioux and there was no denying she may have learned some things, especially names. Not only that, he probably verbally spoke his name for her to bring it to Goliath as some threat chip for a later date. If wolves could cry in sorrow, his eyes would be full of the liquidly substance.

xxxxC o n t i n u i n g to listen to how his sister was honorable and attempted to protect Zheana only to get brutally murdered herself and how no matter how hard Zheana tried she couldn't protect Jupiter. "Enough!" he snapped harshly, his loud booming voice echoing several times. Frankly, he even startled himself with how harsh he sounded just now. Feeling completely ashamed of himself he growled and started walking, "We must find the others, we must keep moving." he spoke, his voice stilted. "Devero, please help Zheana along the way, bring..." he paused, pulling his chin against his chest a moment to take a deep breath, "Bring her..." he whispered, clearly unable to speak his sisters name at this time. Glancing at Aven his eyes were different, they showed only sorrow and maybe a tiny flame of revenge deep within them as well. Sighing he continued on, aiming to find more of his pack. Lifting his head he began to howl loud and clear, at first it was the the tone of calling his pack to him but by the end of his long winded song it turned into that of complete and utter sorrow and greif. No matter how hard he tried, his instincts made his pain known to anyone within earshot. Once his beautiful melody came to a hault he did not look at anyone but continued on, perhaps some howled along with him, he was to embarrassed to acknowledge it, he hated feeling vulnerable like this, absolutely hated it, this is exactly what Azazel or this said Talon wanted. Goliath could not help but worry for his life and his packs life right now, what if the Sioux pack were planning another raid, now would be the best time for the pack is not in unity because of this flood.

xxxxS i l e n t l y the group of four traveled further up the mountain, the terrain wasn't the stablest so it was taking a bit longer than normal but Goliath, no mater the state of mind, thought this was okay. Safety came first, always. Soon, the Alpha stopped, he heard voices. Flicking his tail he made it known to those following him that he had heard something and they should most likely stop as well, just in case. The words were hard to make out but he voices weren't that hard to miss. Moving forward he let out a few barks to let them know he was approaching. Everyone would be on high alert and the last thing he wanted to do was alarm anyone in any way. As soon as he came into view he nodded to Rorin, "Glad to see the three of you okay." he stated, genuinely happy they were alright. He still wasn't himself though and perhaps that would be picked up on, but surely they'd put two and two together upon setting eyes on her. Allowing the few pack members to get reacquainted he looked up at the sky, the sun was about to set fully, now would be the best time to take shelter and rest for the evening. "It's time to rest, we will continue moving in the morning." he ordered, as he turned to see a large opening in the area that made them most at risk. Walking to the space he sat down, with his back the six pack members. He made is his personal pact that was going to protect them at all costs, for it was his duty as the Alpha. He was unable to be there for his sister and that is going to haunt him for the rest of his life, he could not have anymore lives on his paws.
