xxxxE a r l y in the morning was when Alpha Goliath woke up, jerking his head up he looked around the Alpha den, no one was within he wondered what had woken him up. Curious as too what had woken him up he stood up, feeling his stiff body he winced as he began to stretch it out. After hearing a couple pops here and there he moved himself back into a standing posture. That felt good, he exhaled a sigh of relief. Once outside he looked at the horizon through above the pine trees that surrounded their small clearing of a densite. The sky was just beginning to turn pink, the rest of the pack should be waking soon. Standing on a rock the top, flat rock that extended from the mouth of his slightly raised den he sighed as he glanced over the densite looking for any early risers. Upon seeing none he quietly moved to the lower end of the protruding rock and stepped town the two shallow rocky steps. Walking within the densite he made his rounds, checking in every den to see how his pack mates were doing. Goliath did this every morning, he always checked on the others... to make sure none were missing or injured or anything like that. It was just something that worried him honestly, he cared, a lot.

xxxxF a l l was the Season, breeding season had just ended... He knew there was going to be a lot of hostility within the pack for a little while after the fact for everyone's hormones were phasing out, as were his own. His mind flicked back to the fact that time was running thin and he needed to pick a mate soon. Shaking his head he attempted to rid of the thoughts that were haunting him. Faux began leaving the densite to to a perimeter patrol. Perhaps he would catch the scent of prey this morning, or something small to feed his growling stomach, however, he knew the whole pack needed food. Upon that decision he placed his mind back onto the task at hand, patrolling the perimeter and chasing out all possible threats and keeping track of whatever a deer or possible prey left behind. Bending his neck he sniffed the lightly snow covered ground, it was nearly almost gone since the warmer months were beginning again, to find any scent trails that did not belong. Not many were to be found, nothing other than small game that was. A few hours had passed and dawn was turning into the day and he was just finishing up his patrol. Goliath had only ran into one encounter but it was only a rabbit. He continued on without a second thought. He began to think of the past, before the war, and how much had changed after the war. Being an Alpha was something very new to Goliath, but he was getting better, considering it had been just over two years since he had taken over Uktena, he took the job very seriously. He wanted everyone to know he was going to be there for them, through thick and thin... like his father was. That's why Goliath was always readily access able to any pack mate no matter what, even if it meant finding them later if he was busy. Never did he not make the effort for anyone in his pack. His mind travelled over to the rumor he had heard that Azazel had taken over the Brigade... that he has named the pack Sioux and that they weren't to far away from Uktena. This bothered Goliath very much for they were demonic wolves who were a large threat to anything in the vicinity they live in. However, the Alpha knew his pack was strong, after all, many had lived through the war twoish years ago.

xxxxM a k i n g his way back to the den site he had not caught the scent of another animal, which didn't much matter because he had the most skilled scouts and they could do a better job finding their prey. Once he got back he made his way to the meeting log and hopped atop it, looking down on the den site he watched those that were moving around and smiled. Everyone had seemed to love their home, it was a little hard at first, considering they had to leave their former home for obvious reasons and it was worse in because it was winter time. However, as the months had gotten warmer, the mountainous animals had migrated and it had been quite a few days before anyone had eaten other than whatever small mindless rodents they killed to keep themselves alive. It was now that Goliath knew they needed to make another move on the hunting grounds. Therefore, he HOWLED for ALL the wolves to attend his meeting so he can announce his decision to hunt. Once everyone was there he smiled welcomingly, "I all all of you here this morning to gather a hunting party. I believe two hunting parties will suffice. Whisper and Ghost, please scout for a party, Hati and Zheana, please scout for the second party. I will attend a party as leader. Any volunteers to lead the second?" he was thinking on his toes. hoping one of the hunters would step up at this time. They should really catch two animals, they would last the pack a little while, tie them over, so to speak. Looking at the faces before him he knew that wolves who were not hunters were going to attend the hunts for numbers were always an asset. The reason he was asking for a volunteer was because the pack had yet to have a Delta and a Beta, however, Goliath has been observing those within the pack to find a good suit for the ranks. It was only a matter of time before he needed to make some decisions.

xxxxA z a z e l is a very cunning and vindictive individual, the past few years after his fathers passing in the war against Uktena he had been building a small army of wolves just like himself. They are purebred killers, willing to do whatever it took to succeed. "Victory is reserved for those who are willing to pay the price.", as he always told his pack. Everyone pays a price one way or another, no sense in thinking too deeply into it for it can mean so many different things. It hadn't taken long for the male to fall into his father's footsteps and become the Yellow Eyed Demon he was destined to become. It was a fear his mother had since the day he was born, but she was dead now so it didn't matter to Azazel what she thought anymore. Over the past few years that he'd taken over the pack he was following his fathers footsteps and ran the pack with utmost scrutiny, not allowing anyone stay within Sioux unless they successfully murdered another wolf and at it's flesh in cold blood. It was one of the few traditions he made of the pack. However, Azazel's biggest accomplishment was deciding that the pack needed a hierarchy, and with the help of his spy within Uktena he was able to complete his goal as such. Of course it's only been a couple months since all the ranks took place within Sioux, but they seemed to be working much better than allowing wolves to run around wild. He would like to see this as an accomplishment and no one within the pack knows that he learned this from Uktena for that would look just stupid.

xxxxE a r l y this morning Azazel was attempting to sleep, however, loud bickering was keeping him from doing so. Growling viciously he pulled his front paws over his head and attempted to keep the noise out by pushing his ears shut. Didn't work. Eventually he heaved himself up and snarled to the unknown before trotting towards the sound of the complaining. To his surprise, the beings behind the voices were wolves that he'd never seen before, rolling his eyes he growled in pure annoyance. The two continued to b***h at one another, something about how they couldn't just leave some pack high and dry like that. Smirking darkly he moved silently within the shadows watching the completely oblivious oversized rodents. Unknown wolves were mentioned, not of Uktena either according what his spy had divulged thus far. Eavesdropping further he heard the lighter colored brute was whining that if they traveled any farther they would be nearing the territory line. With salivating jowls, Azazel positioned himself to pounce. He laughed loudly, it bellowed and echoed through the area, probably frightening the trespassers, "You are a little far from home rats..." his voice sounding of humor and sinister. Mere moments passed before the perfect opportunity was given, only a few large strides at full speed allowed him to flex his jaws around the dark wolf's neck and break it instantly. Dropping the limp body on the ground he turned around to see a slightly larger, lighter brute, than the one he murdered in cold blood and pulled back his teeth in a vicious, toothy grin. Raising his back he stood there with his fur bristled making him look as big if not bigger than a bear in challenge. Azazel pointed his nose to the sky and laughed belly deep at the males stupidity for even trying, "You amuse me, you puny fool. You think you can avenge your friends life do you?" he spoke with piercing venom on the tip of his tongue. Standing tall with his front legs spread apart he squared his shoulders making himself look much bigger than he already was. "Try me. I dare you." he taunted, poison dripping from his every word. The male must have had an acute death sentence, for he actually had the balls to attack. Within mid attack the wolf's body fell hard and instantly lifeless against the ground near The Yellow Eyed Demon's feet. As did the head a split second later. An evil crackle began bubbling from within his throat and quietly escaped his mouth, "Fools." he laughed.

xxxxL o o k i n g at the two bodies the large wolf cocked his head. Ahh, why not provide a meal to his pack? He wasn't far from the den site after all. Grabbing the dark wolf by the scruff he smiled as the attached head fell limp against the body's shoulder. Dragging it between his front legs he used his chest as leverage to move forward and bend down to grab, what was left of the neck of the ballsy wolf. Doing the same thing as he did with the first victim he dragged both wolves towards the den site. Several antagonizing minutes later he finally reached the middle of the den. Surely Sioux members had noticed this display and started to gather around curiously... with one quick howl he called the pack to order. Waiting only a minute or two he immediately broke into a speech, "These two idiots decided it would be alright to b***h and whine outside my den and wake me up! Not only that, they were trespassing on our lands!" he snarled to the group, turning to speak to those who gathered around. "This being said I have provided a meal for you all." he explained in a deep voice and puffing out his chest. Lowering his head he growled loudly at anyone who approached, for he was to eat first. Not them. They would be allowed to feed when he was finished. Several minutes passed as he gorged and when he was finally done he rose his head once again and licked his lips. Burping quite loudly he smirked, completely and utterly satisfied he looked to those around and without a word... walked away. The male headed off near his Alpha Den which was within the mountain side, at the very base of the mountain there was a large, flat rock that jutted out. This was where meetings of importance were held for it was slightly raised. Azazel usually laid there as well, so if anyone was to come speak with him they were looking up and he was looking down as things should be, after all he was the king. Laying on his rock, with his front paws hanging over the edge, he observed his pack eat the dead wolves with pride. He watched each and every wolf to make sure they were eating... honestly he felt rather offended if a wolf was not eating his offering. therefore he was waiting to spot and offender so he could deal with them. Question is, was anyone so bold as to do so? Azazel's punishments weren't all sunshine and rainbows, they were to be remembered for life, embedded in their minds forever... think of what that would be like.

Letting out a loud yawn opening her jaws wide before getting to her paws Rook shook her fur that she could have sworn only seemed to get fluffier every time she slept. Clean of any leafs or dirt that had surely gotten on her fur before moving away from her still sleeping pack mates. In order to stretch out her still sleepy limbs as the last of the sleep left the females body. To see the huntress so calm and slow moving was a rare sight indeed and one that only seemed to ever occur when Rook just woke from a nights rest. But like always such a feeling didn’t seem last very long as the female seemed to suddenly spring to life and without much cause began to roll around on the ground. Rubbing her back against the ground for a few moments before rolling back to her paws and quickly turning to check on the rest of the pack. As if searching to see if there was anyone else awake that she might be able to bother.

It was almost disappointing when she poked her head into the alphas den hoping to find the large brute asleep in his den. Only to find that her brother was not there at all taking all the fun out of her brief idea of waking the black brute up herself. How had he managed to wake up before her? That just wasn’t fair at all she was supposed to be the one who woke up first. With a huff of disappointment Rook continued to move around the den site for a while longer hoping that more of her pack mates would wake up soon. Before her brother finally made his glorious return from whatever business had taken him away from the den site and hopped up onto the meeting log howling for them all to gather. Great a meeting hopefully it will be something interesting this time! She thought as she made her way towards the meeting area at an unneeded sprint.

Sliding to a stop Rook planted herself down to listen as her brother spoke to the gathered wolves. The thought of going on a hunt more than enough to make the female excited. Though that was by no means all that hard of a thing to do in the first place. And the thought of leading the second patrol was just as appealing. The only problem was that would mean that she wouldn’t get to be on the same patrol as her brother. Which thinking about it would give her a chance to actually spend some time with some of the other males, without having to worry about her brother stepping in. Hmmm this was a bit of a dilemma. Well she wasn’t the only hunter in the pack and who knew maybe Aven would like a chance to lead a patrol.

Aven’s muscles twitched in her sleep, revealing the fae to be lost in the world of a dream. In front of her closed eyes, was a rabbit, leaping away from her as she ran after it, determined to bring the prey home to her pack and Alpha. It was a nice and juicy looking rabbit too… Finally she gave one last jump, and as her paws reached for the soft fur of her prey… Until a form bumped her own sleeping body, chasing sleep and the thoughts of the rabbit from her mind. Aven’s eyes opened tiredly and she looked around just in time to catch the form of Rook leaving the den. She had to chuckle. The other huntress was always so full of life; it was hard to be annoyed with her. Giving a large yawn, Aven slowly pushed herself to her feet and stretched, her still sleepy muscles protesting, before she padded towards the entrance of the den. Rook was out and about, seemingly checking on everyone, more likely to see if they were awake or not. Not quite ready to deal with the hyper fae, Aven ducked out behind the den and headed towards the small stream not too far from the densite in order to get a quick drink, maybe she could catch some breakfast as well.

Reaching the river, she quickly ducked her head down and began to lap up some water until she felt fully satisfied. Lifting her head, she looked around the forest, only now beginning to fill with the light from the still rising sun. Today would be a lovely day for hunting, definitely. Maybe Rook would want to go with her later… As she thought this, a howl reached her ears. Aven recognized it immediately as the Alpha’s howl, calling together the pack. She quickly turned and dashed back towards camp, not wanting to miss the meeting. Thankfully she wasn’t too far, in fact, she beat most of her packmates as they crawled from their dens. Running into camp, she stopped her mad dash, panting slightly, and looked around. Goliath, the Alpha, was seated upon the meeting log and she quickly took a seat close, but not too close, to the front of the pack to listen.

Her golden eyes looked at the Alpha in admiration. Since she could remember, Aven had had a crush on Goliath, though she’d never acted on it, or hinted at her feelings. Given her families past, she knew he could never consider her an appropriate mate, so she had decided early on to spare herself the humiliation of having him turn her down, and instead admired him from a distance, sneaking glances here and there.

She blinked suddenly, realizing her thoughts had trailed off as she’d stared at him, and realized he was talking. She tuned in to hear him announce two hunting patrols, and she gave a small tail wag. Perfect! He organized the scouts and then asked for volunteers to lead the second patrol. She paused, not volunteering herself. If she led the patrol, it would be a good opportunity to show her skills. It had been awhile since the last group hunt, and she was eager to make sure everyone knew she still belonged in the pack… Of course, if she didn’t lead the patrol, she had a chance of going with Goliath on his, and then he would see that she was a good hunter…

Aven looked to Rook. The fae was sitting not too far from her, and Aven scooted closer. “Do you want to lead the patrol, Rook? I’d be okay with that, if you did. It doesn’t matter to me though.” She had to be careful not to sound too eager of course… Thought she still hoped that Rook would want to lead the other patrol.

ooc: Intro.. first one that doesn't suck. • ωιтн: none > pack > Azazel and Vetis. • ʟocαтιoɴ: out in the woods > Densite.

Well before dawn, ember eyes fluttered open. Nox wasn't much of a sleeper and was normally one of the very first in Sioux up and about before the sun began to rise. Even a few hours sleep was enough to keep her going for the day, she always had enough energy. The fae remained in her spot for a few minutes before she decided it was time to get up. Slowly, but surely, she moved herself up and her stiff bones and muscles from a nights sleep cracked lightly. She wasn't old, she was actually pretty young, but the way she slept last night had caused her muscles and bones to stiffen. A early morning run would keep her in shape and have her muscles ready for the rest of the day.

Shaking out her black and brown hued fur, the loose dirt from the dens ground slowly fell back into it's rightful place. Her ears twitched and she watched some members stir around her but none dared to open an eye. Most members in Sioux liked their sleep, and it wasn't out of the ordinary for some members to get up and move about as the sun peeked into the sky. That was apart of pack life, dealing with the early risers. Slowly maneuvering herself through the den, Nox exited and was met with the brisk morning air. She huffed and gave a little snort as she strayed farther away from the mouth of the den. Ember eyes scanned once more before she trotted away. She wouldn't be needed so early in the morning, therefore she was free to do what she willed. As she continued around, her black nose twitched slightly now and then, ears erect and flickering back and forth from time to time. She was just listening, watching and scenting. She enjoyed her time alone out here, it gave her a feeling she couldn't really describe.

As she continued along her way, she skidded to a silent halt and her nose and ears twitched at the same time. She lowered herself and a few feet beside her was a rabbit. It was decent size, and she could probably catch it without to much of a fuss. Creeping forward she was ready to pounce, her body almost mimicked that of a cat. Her tail flicked excitedly behind her and when the rabbits head shot up, it scenting her and it probably hearing her by now, she sprang forward. She practically tackled it, it squirmed and waled in pain but her jaws had yet to touch it. She pushed her weight down, almost crushing the squirming thing and then her jaws picked it up around the neck. Fearfully the rabbit froze, as it was going to accept death right away but that was no the plan. Tossing her head up, she let the rabbit go and it plopped to the ground, it scrambled but to its surprise, one of it's legs was broken. Snapped. It limped and wobbled and Nox stared at it curiously. She had expected it to have snapped its spine or worse, yet this was so much better! "Awe, the poor rabbit.." She chuckled and moved over it, it scrambled but got no more then four feet before Nox flipped it over exposing its belly. It kicked and squirmed and she just simply chuckled lowly. Fighting for its life still? Nox let it go and it continued to flop and wobble everywhere. It was so off balance and in pain it had no idea what to do. She wagged her tail, moving over it once more. Her ears flicked however, the call of Azazel was clear. He had called the pack, she wondered why. Her eyes turned back towards the rabbit and she smiled. "Come meet my family." She growled and picked it up, almost like a mother wolf would do to a pup. It squirmed in her mouth but it was wearing from exhaustion.

As she trotted into the densite, the sun was now up and her eyes fell onto the bodies of two wolves. Dead. Her tail wagged, ohhhhh wolf was her favourite meal! She trotted over towards where the pack was beginning to eat. There were no ranks, so it was a free for all. It seemed that Azazel had brought the wolves for the pack. How generous of the handsome brute. Her eyes turned towards the yellow eyed wolf, and then towards the pack. She dropped the rabbit on the ground and it started to squirm and wobble around. She starred at it and laughed again, before announcing "Whoever wants the rabbit, it's free game." She chuckled and wondered how long the rabbit would last. It squirmed and tried its hardest to get places but it was not succeeding. She had enough fun with torturing it and watching it in pain, now was time to the have some breakfast!

As she left the rabbit to its fate, she growled and snarled her way into the group of wolves surrounding the wolves. She let her maw do the work and soon enough it was stained with a crimson hue. When she was satisfied with her meal, she stepped away and allowed others to feast. She eyed the rabbit who was still flopping around. Part of her wondered if someone wasn't going to eat the wolves, if they would eat the rabbit? But did anyone really want to dare to disobey the law of Azazel? Who knew in this pack!

Her eyes turned from the rabbit towards Azazel and she trotted over, though as she got near him she pinned her ears back and tail lowered slightly between her legs, a submissive posture was held. "Mmm, thankyou Azazel for the wonderful meal." She gave her thanks and her eyes turned towards a black brute with the alpha who went by the name Vetis. "Mornin' Vetis" She nodded towards the brute and turned her eyes towards the pack still feasting. "Do you have anything you'd like done today Azazel?" She asked, her eyes turning to meet the yellow ones that gave him his famous name.

“Oh now isn’t this a lovely treat” Frost said slyly as she approached the den sight the smell of fresh blood and meat filling the females nose even before she had actually seen the gracious meal that had been delivered to the all by their Alpha. The female had awoken early that morning and instead of spending the whole time sitting around the den site like some bore just like some of her pack mates liked to do. She had gone out to do something far more constructive with her time not to mention far more interesting than watching her pack mates sleep. As tempting as that might be from time to time when she knew it would end up creeping at least one or two of her pack mates out. Especially considering her habit of reminding some of them how easy it would be for her to rip out their throats or poison them while they slept.

But today was far too good of a morning to waste doing such things and the white female had instead decided. To go off and see just what interesting or useful plants that she could find before returning back to the den site. Where she was happy to discover that a meal had been provided for the whole pack to gorge themselves on. And so early on in the day as well! Azazel had been busy while she was away it seemed a pity really as it did mean she had missed the chance to hear the musical sound of the dead wolves dying screams. And Frost might also have actually felt disappointed with having missed being one of the first to eat. If not for the fact that she was quite happy to let the others do all the hard work of opening the kills. Before moving to take what she wanted from them. And it seemed as if she had arrived at just the right time to do just that!

Moving towards one of the wolves that had already been torn open the fae pushed her way into her idea spot ignore the protests of any of her pack mates. As she went for the tender meat that she preferred filling herself before stepping away from the meal a growl of pleasure escaping the female’s jaws. “Oh how wonderful!” she chuckled showing little care of the anger that she had probably caused in some of her pack mates by pushing her way into the meal. As she stopped to run her tongue over the blood that had gotten on her coat. This was a good start to the day a very good start!

The small creamy provider was curled up in the provider’s den keeping the pups safe and warm with her thick coat. She was currently reliving the events that happen quite some moons ago but still haunt her to this day and may for the rest of her life. However now she was at least able to keep from kicking and growling in her sleep, the only signs that gave away her nightmare was the rapid movements of her chest as she breathed in fear.

At high noon the fae was roaming around the territory heading toward a small clearing that she had promised one of the yearlings she would met them after their first hunt. She had been quite proud of the male, as he would make a great hunter, which was something he wanted to do in the pack. She always had him bringing her “rare” sticks that he “hunted” for her. She was currently carrying the very first one he brought her, as kind of a joke and to show that she loved her sticks very much. As she made it to the clearing she stopped dead in her tracks, the yearling she loved so dearly was dead at the paws of a yellow hued wolf. He reeked of danger, death and blood. She backed up and dropped her stick, the object hitting the ground got his attention and he turned staring her down. The provider was no match for any wolf that wanted to fight but this one looked as if he wanted to kill her. Backing away he chuckled at her and telling her that his pack, Sioux, was here and to run along and tell her alpha he better be ready. Of course she felt as if that was it, he would just let her run off but that wasn’t the case. He charged at her and..

Pulling herself from the nightmare she panted and pulled deep breaths into her lungs to slow down her heart rate and try to get under control once more. Her own yellow hues wildly looked around the provider’s den and all was quite for right now. She sighed with relief and thought it would be best to get something to drink. She felt her belly rumble and she simply ignored it, she was nervous and with that came the idea that she was starving. She was hungry but that could be taken care of later, she wasn’t in much of a rush to get anything in her belly but water. Crossing the den site, she was light on her toes, a talent her mother who was a scout taught her, as well as her size helped greatly. She made a beeline for the river, she was nervous about the nightmare she could only hope that she wouldn’t run into the demon of her nightmares. She arrived at the river and drank her fill of water before she returned to the den.

Upon arriving she saw the wolf she had quite the crush on, but she was a lowly provider and he was an alpha, she doubted that he would ever see anything in her but a keeper of the pack’s pups. Her heart ached at the thought, she truly loved her rank and loved the pups of the pack, she just had hoped one day to have her own pups with her own mate and it wouldn’t hurt if it had been with the alpha. He was lovely, kind, loyal, gentle and even with his great size made her feel like she was quite small, but not in an over powering way, which she was sure he could do was over power her. She smiled at him hoping to catch his eye, and once he howled for a hunt she knew she wouldn’t be much help nor could she leave the pups uncared for. Her one chance to prove that maybe she would make a good mate and she couldn’t even attend on a hunt. She sighed and hoped that maybe just maybe he would see her and think that she was pretty. The idea sounded stupid to even her and she looked down at her paws as she sat down and curled her tail around to her paws.

She spotted two of the hunters sitting next to each other getting fired up and she couldn’t help but envy the pair, they could go but they were ranked for such jobs. She over heard Aven speaking toward the alpha’s sister Rook she wondered why she hadn’t volunteered to lead a scouting party, she thought the idea was great for anyone wanting to show their skill as well as just to have some fun, however no one asked her and she wasn’t about to interrupt their conversation, it was just rude. Coming over to the pair she softly voiced her opinion. “Excuse me, in no way do I mean to be rude, but why don’t one lead this time and the other another time. I know you both are wonderful hunters and this way you could both prove yourselves.” She smiled kindly and hoped that she wasn’t stepping on toes.

It certainly wasn't that Bjorr had a knack for staying up late or had worn himself out. His slow and heavy breaths only meant he was in a deep sleep. While among his pack, sleep came easily to Bjorr. Had a wolf been listening, a shallow snore would had escaped the beast's nose as he rolled onto his side. Practically rolling over his denmate, Bjorr woke with a start as he made an eager attempt to reverse his actions. A series of inhalations came from the wolf, his body completely rolled in the opposite direction, his paws limp over his chest and his back flat on the ground. He eyed the wolf briefly, contemplating the state of their slumber. Thankfully for Bjorn, he didn't seem to have woken anyone.

Swallowing what was once a good nights rest, Bjorr made action to stand and exit the den. It was fairly early still as he didn't see many others of his pack, if any at all. Patient as ever, Bjorn sat plainly by the entrance. Soon his paws stepped ahead of him, stretching his chest to the floor and allowing his chin to rest against his two front feet. With an hour left till sunrise, Bjorr meant to watch the earth turn and the stars fade. Regardless of his intentions, he snoozed on and didn't wake till a familiar howl addressed the pack.

Head bobbing up and alert to the sound, Bjorr recognized the voice as none other than Goliath. As a minuscule premonition of the meeting to come resonated from the gray wolf's stomach, he stretched his limbs ahead of him and made a wide yawn. The air was crisp, though it was nothing Bjorr was foreign to. Stepping lightly, the he-wolf trotted for the meetings grounds. It wasn't far in the slightest, giving Bjorr the opportunity to be the third pack member to stand before the alpha. He paced himself here, allowing his walk to slowly bring him into the ring. He sat not far from Rook and Aven, both of which he was familiar with. Bjorr quite liked the females of their pack. They were individuals to say the least, and he liked that about them. For the sake of his standards, neither were on his (public) radar to mate. Sure, the wolf had hormones, but he was not about to let himself get on Goliath's bad side. Bjorr wasn't technically family after all…

Tuning in to the dark wolf's words, an eager expression took over Bjorr's lips. A hunting party? The alpha could not have brought up better words to make Bjorr even more so happy. Thought not particularly eager to lead a group in their hunt, the sound of food was clearly appealing enough. He was on all fours now, listening to the pack talk excitedly amongst themselves. His ears narrowed down Aven's voice, his wolfish grin only growing at her words.

"Take the lead, Rook," backed Bjorr. He had taken the steps to join them now, settling back on his haunches once he had gotten close enough. "Unless you're not up for it, that is," he cooed, though he was fairly certain that Rook was up for any proposed challenge. His tail wagged slow and steady against the earth as he watched for Rook's response. He'd offer to lead, but he had done it in the past. To say the least, he wasn't particularly good at leading others to dinner. He could certainly do it if he applied all of his efforts, but Bjorr simply knew a solo hunt best. With that said, he looked to Aven and then further ahead to the alpha, Goliath. Double checking his place in the matter, he made sure to acknowledge the dominate brother of the sister he was addressing so casually. Feeling alright, he returned his attention back to the ladies.

The moment his eyes came back to the party, he realized a third had joined him. Valora, a cream colored provider, had joined them and Bjorr realized he was surrounded. Valora's words were certainly softer than Rook and Aven. Bjorr had stood up by then, backing up a couple of steps to provide the three of them their space. He watched briefly, contemplating the irony that took his thoughts.

"Valora, you have plenty of good ideas. Why not lead today? If you're worried for the pups, I'd be happy to stay with them so long as you save me a bite," offered Bjorr, his head lowering ever so slightly at his words, though his tail quickened it's pace. Though hunting packs were fun, Bjorr enjoyed the goofy faces of pups just as much. If anyone in this pack knew Bjorr, he was always happy to step in for any job regarding the younglings.

Warm rays of sun beat down on the young pup's back as two larger pups threw themselves in her direction, their teeth bared and ready to taste blood if the opportunity arised. "If you take it easy on her, you will be dealt with as any other traitor!" Drekavac's voice boomed through empty air as the small female spun, catching one of the males by the throat and wrestling his to the ground as the other jumped on her back. The fight went on for at least another half an hour before the elder brute made his presence known once again. "That's enough. Fight harder next time men. And you, Azexira, go see your mother so she caudle you like the pathetic child you are." The pup's ears dropped back, her eyes searching the ground before looking back at the Alpha. "I'll prove you wrong one day. I'll be just as good as they are. Watch me." Before she could even think of moving the male's teeth weere around her small frame, tossing her against the trunk of a tree with a loud thud. The pup laid limp in the shadow of the oak, her body already sore from the spar with her brothers and helped none by the punishment from her father. "You will never compare to my sons." It was the single quote that would haunt her mind for the rest of her life.

The red fae woke with a rough start, panting heavily as if she had been running for miles without being able to take a break. Dreams of her younger years often plagued her sleep, but she had too much pride to ask the healers for a solution to her problem. Nightmares were the problem of a pup, not a five year old fae. Azexira took a few deep breaths, bringing her heartbeat back to normal before looking around the den only to notice she was but one of the last few to rise. She made her way to her paws as the smell of fresh blood met the air, something had been killed, and judging by the strength of the scent...a smirk crossed her black lips. Azazel must have been in an awful good mood to have killed something so early into the morning. Xira shook her head before mumbling inaudibly to herself, "Oh look now father, how the one who would never compare has become the only one your favored son has allowed to live." It was something she had thought about often, two of her brothers had died from wounds they had gotten in the big fight with Uktena, and though one of them had seemed like he would live, she always assumed Azazel had played a part in making sure they both met their ends. And the second oldest of her brothers had been banished only days after Azazel had taken control of the brigade. The two had never gotten along and he had often been cruel to Azexira, which she didn't doubt had a lot to do with the fact that she could have killed him without trying. Now it was just her and Azazel, him leading his murderous pack and her, adding to it's cruelty.

The small framed wolf made her way out of the den, pausing in time to hear her brother's speech. Two full grown brute's laid at his feet, neither of them seemed to be going anywhere in the near future judging by their condition. "And this is why I never brought my friends home to meet you." Her remark was made in a cold tone, her voice sending chills down even her own spine as a twisted smile formed. She watched as her almost identical looking brother licked his chops, signaling that he was done and the rest of them were free to eat. "Thank you brother, for yet another glorious meal." Xira lifted her chin and shook her head a bit, fluffing out the fur around her neck and shaking off the dirt from her slumber. It was while she was content with this action when the rabbit Nox had brought back decided to stumble into her. At first the female looked down, curious as to what dared to touch her but within seconds the fact that she would always be her father's daughter made itself known. She lifted her paw swiftly, knocking the rabbit airborne momentarily before snatching it out of it's flight. Xira could taste the blood fill her mouth as her canines tore through the small rodent's neck before she tossed it on top of the other kills. "Dear Nox, surely you didn't intend to waste food." A wicked chuckle rumbled in her throat as she took the last few steps between herself and breakfast.

Once Xira had gotten her fill off of the darker male's shoulder she backed off, leaving the remains for the rest of the pack to devour. She groaned softly, realizing she had a whole day and nothing to do with it, and made her way slowly to where her brother was watching over the pack. "So what are the chances that there are others." She nodded her head back to the two dead males before meeting Azazel's eyes with her own, significantly lighter, yellow eyes. "I don't doubt that you could handle them if there where, but I'm dying for a little bit of a fight myself." She shrugged and laid at the base of her brother's rock, her blood stained muzzle rested on her paws submissively as her eyes trailed to where his were, the fresh kill in the middle of the den site.

The huntress was still debating whether or not she should go ahead and volunteer herself to lead the second hunting patrol. When Aven voice called the fae’s attention towards her fellow hunter “Of course I do, but I was wondering if you were up to it this time.” She replied cheerful making no attempt to hide the fact that she was eager for the hunt. It was a perfect way for her to spend some of her energy and have some fun and if she got to lead the patrol all the better. Even if it did mean she would have to be a bit more serious while they were hunting if they were all going to actually catch something. And really she could deal with that.

Turning her head to look at the male as Bjorr join them Rook could feel a grin spreading a crossed her jaws at the obvious challenge from the male. Okay now there was no way she could turn down offering to lead the second patrol. “Oh course I am up to it!” Rook replied a little too loudly as she all but jumped to her paws. There was just no debating it now as much as she might love to be able to hunt with her brother. The female could not pass up on a challenge and well it seemed like everyone thought she should volunteer anyway. “I’ll lead the second patrol if you don’t mind!” Rook called out happily as she looked over at her brother. Ultimately the decision would be his but she was at least going to let everyone know that she was willing to do it. That’s about all she could do if anyone else volunteered to lead it as well.

Turning her head briefly to look back at Valora the playful female seemed to consider something for a moment her cheerful face becoming serious for a few seconds. Before returning to its normal cheerful self as the Huntress came to some kind of decision in her head. “Bjorr is right you should come along at least if you want too” Rook chimed in as she looked at the sweet hearted provider her tail actually starting to wag very slightly in barely contained excitement. “But you don’t have to if you don’t want too” she added to make it clear that she was by no means trying to bully the other female into coming along. Not that Rook was really all that capable of pushing anyone around that didn’t want to do something.

Aven looked up as Bjorr, who challenged Rook to take the lead, joined them. She gave a small chuckle and looked to Rook to see if she would take the bait or not. Of course she rose to the occasion, true to her personality. Valora, who suggested that the two fae’s take turns leading patrols, then further joined the group. Aven nodded, that was a pretty good idea. It would also give Aven a chance to later show that she could be a good leader, a position that she was vaguely wary of at this time. She was still young, by most standards, and the thought of messing up made her nervous. If she were to mess up and not manage to bring back any food for her packmates, it would only serve to further the thought that she was just like the rest of her family; useless…

That’s a pretty good idea Valora. And you should join if you want, it could be fun!” Aven tilted her head slightly, wondering if the Provider would be interested in coming along. Hunts were of course fun, but given that the fae’s job was to watch the pups, she very rarely left her post. Even though Bjorr offered to take over for her with the pups, Aven wasn’t sure if Valora would join in. She remained quiet during Bjorr and Rook trying to convince Valora to come with them, silently wondering if the fae would join them or not. Her gaze wandered to the Alpha, and she wondered if he had been listening to their conversation. Since Rook was leading the second patrol, it seemed like she should be free to join Alpha Goliath’s. The thought made her excited, and she couldn’t help but give a small tail wag.

So, is that alright with you, Alpha Goliath? Rook can lead the second patrol, and I could join yours, if that’s what you wanted, of course?” She looked up at the dark furred brute as she waited for him to confirm the plan. Aven took a moment to glance around quickly, trying to spot the scouts that the Alpha had mentioned, see if they were prepared to head out yet. They should probably begin to organize into groups at this point, though she supposed they were still waiting for the Alpha to confirm each party.

Sleep came easy to Nycro. It was one of his favourite things to do, though when awakened by anyone other then Fisnae, He was rather grumpy. So when Azazel howled and interrupted his lovely slumber, Nycro grumbled and bared his teeth as his icy eyes flashed open. His eyes adjusted to the rays of light the entered the den and he simply laid there as others began to stir. What was so important that Azazel had to get the entire pack up and moving so damn early! Nycro looked to his side, and not far from him - really mere inches away from him, laid Fisnae. He had been courting the fae, slowly but surely. He just didn't know how she felt for him. If she had feelings for him, then eventually the two would ask to become mates. For now, their little games of affection were good enough. The two hunters spent decent amounts of time together, including while they slept. He rose slowly, and moved over her, both paws placed on either side of her neck. He leaned his head down and nipped at her ears lightly. "Rise and shine darling." he gave a smirk and moved away from her before leaving her either to lay there or to follow. His tail flicked as he exited the den. His eyes met the bodies of two wolves, and Azazel talking about how these two had woke up him. Nycro snorted and then he watched as the pack was allowed to eat. He rolled his eyes at the shoving and pushing. The large brute manuevered his way in. He ripped off chunks of flesh and muscle, large pieces accumulating in his mouth.

However he was not eating it, he was collect. When there was enough food for two in his mouth he slowly backed up away from the kill and trotted his way over to Fisnae. This way she wouldn't have to get into that mess. He moved infront of her and let the meat drop between her paws. He smirked and he took a few bites, just out of respect for Azazel, and then let Fisnae finish the rest. He wasn't too hungry and he didn't want to fill up his stomach. The hunter also was picky, he normally only ate what he killed or helped kill. It was just something he had always done since he was young.

"We should go out for a little run today. Away from the pack for a bit?" He asked with a sly smirk. He had been in the densite for the last few days without leaving. It was enough to drive a sane wolf, insane. He huffed and then his eyes turned towards Azazel who was in the company of Nox, his sister and Vetis. Nycro turned back to face Fisnae. "We could have a little fun with it, sneak away.. Undetected." He chuckled softly, and rubbed himself against her side. It was a display of affection but also him in a way marking her. Whether she had feelings for him or not, he had feelings for her.. Which meant until she drove him away - She was His.

Varko's ears tipped as he tried to push away his own thoughts and hefted his large frame to now sit up on his haunches. He glanced around the den to inspect who else was still within, but it had seemed that the pack has thinned out during the morning and most of them were now outside and going about their day, meaning that the Warrior should also make a start to his. Raising up to all fours, he padded out of the cave where the sun momentarily blinded him as he turned his large dome away from its rays as he slowly made his way down to the hearth of the meeting area where suddenly the howl of Goliath from above forced Varko to crane his neck back and to look up at in his direction. As his howl resonated around the den site, the Warrior felt the immediate sense of urgency pour into his veins as he looked for a space for him to be seated comfortably as the meeting area would soon be overrun by the pack.

Varko watched quietly as wolves from all over slowly filled out every crevice of the site, leaving minimal room for any late comers unless they wanted to be seated out the back where their hearing would have to be perfect to catch what everyone had to say. Secretly, the Warrior combed his eyes through the sea of wolves, searching for that particular colored pelt that belonged the fae that would have his heart beating fast against his chest and yet, stop dead if their eyes were to meet. So preoccupied he was in his search that he had almost missed Goliath's speech and was now rearing back from the eagerness of young wolves wanting to take the lead of the second hunting party. He had been in the middle of these kinds of disputes before when he was with his siblings, it was always safer to get out of it as fast as possible if these faes were anything like his sisters...

But the scuffle for lead never even took place, immediately, the wolves gave each other turns and even complimented each other's skills that had Varko's chest filled with pride at how polite his pack was. How lucky he was to be with such a family.

Seeing that everyone here was presented with a role, the silver eyed brute turned towards his Alpha. "What about us, Warriors, Goliath? What shall you have us do in the mean time?"
