So lost in his own thoughts, Abadiah was caught off guard by the sudden but gentle lick to his face. His eyes turned first to see the shy little novice Makoce as she greeted him, low to the earth and barely able to hold eye contact for more than a few seconds. He could understand why she was so desperately shy, having been working in the healers den by the time she was born. Her mother had died during the process and her father had never moved past the incident, but instead blamed her for it. Abadiah had always tried to make up for her fathers heavy paw, by being a bit more kind to her about her mistakes than he would someone elses. Not that he was ever mean with his criticism.

That’s good,” he spoke, his rough gravely voice gentle and appealing, “I was going to see about gathering a few extra herbs while the weather was clear. You are, of course, welcome to join me.” he offered, turning his head to face her and then peering over her shoulder to inspect the noted absence of Jupiter and Castiel. It was unlike them to miss a summon from the Alpha and he worried something had happened-- but then the pair had been working harder than usual. They may have been caught up in work or catching up on sleep.

Abadiah disregarded his worries and turned his eyes back to Goliath as the brute spoke up once more from his position. It was more orders regarding the hunt; And then they were off. Abadiah watched with a quiet sigh as his pack mates raced off into the woods, their playful banter and excited yips fading into the distance. He took a deep breath, trying to ignore the ping of jealousy in his stomach, and rose onto his paws. Abadiah took a few steps towards the tree line before he paused and looked back to Makoce, “Coming?”

xxxxA fight, as playful as you may take it, was seemingly working out in the fae's favor. His attack missed, he bumped into the wrong fae, however, he did challenge them both so he was going to have to deal with the consequences. An evil sneer crossed his face when Nox began to speak to his sister. She then turned to him and started speaking to him, he looked at her, his yellow eyes burning into her amber hued orbs. He lifted his head and chuckled at her comment, they'd always be bitches to him regardless if they beat the s**t out of him. Xira replied to her obvious best friend but he was distracted by his sister as Nox lunched at him. His shoulder was slammed into, he snarled in play as he moved to evade any further attacks, lifting his one front leg to attempt to get it around her neck. Her jaws latched onto his fur and he growled, and during all this time he had not seen his sister jump onto his ledge. Turning his head he knew she was on the other side of him but when he realized she wasn't he tried to look around to see where she was. However, it was a little harder than you'd think just because Nox had quite the grip on the fur on side of his neck. It was then he heard Xira's voice and he snarled knowing where she was from the way the sound vibrations hit his ears, yes, father taught him well but sometimes gravity and such didn't always work in his favor.

xxxxB e f o r e he knew it his sister had landed atop of him, her momentum throwing him off balance and with Nox grip on his fur he was easily brought down and he rolled onto his back without even really thinking about it. Snapping and snarling he attempted to get up but his sister now had two paws on his chest, he chuckled as though her weight meant anything to him. He was a big wolf and had a lot of power. "Id be careful if I were you." he snapped, pushing his paws against his sisters chest to get her off, as soon as she moved off of him he growled and heaved his body back onto all fours. Snapping his jaws at the two ladies again he stopped and stood there, eyeing them both down waiting for them to attack again. Lunging towards his sister he snarled loudly as she moved out of the way, giving her an opportunity to attack him. "Getting quicker sister." he said in false surprise, he pretended to not be upset with his rather shitty performance the last two attacks. Why was he doing so bad today? If father were here, he'd beat the s**t out of Azazel until he fought back as he was supposed to, strong and unforgiving. They were raised harsh and stern by their father Drekavac, but it was all for the best.

xxxxS t a r i n g down the two female warriors he growled in warning. He missed to attacks on his sister, maybe he'd land one on Nox. Now that he was free from her grasp, he lowered his upper body and raised his tail high in dominance. However, it looked as though he was going to attack Xira once again he bolted towards the dark trickster he raised his body, wrapping his front legs around her neck. Snarling he threw his head up and then back down on the back of her neck as he tried to weigh her down and push her by walking at the same time. The fae put up quite the fight but after a few moments he bit a little harder and pushed harder which resulted in her front legs buckling and down she went, Azazel atop of her. Forcing her to roll onto her back he moved so all four paws were over her, two on each side. Lowering his front end he began biting down on her neck gently, he did not want to kill Nox, just rough her up a bit, drool all over her neck making her fur all wet and gross. Females hated that. Muffled snarls could be heard as he clamped his jaws down on her neck laughing as she squirmed to get free. Every now and again he would raise his head, look down at her with perked ears facing her before growling and jolting to bit her neck again. It was classic play, but fun nonetheless, it was fun to dominate the female, have her nearly hopeless beneath her as his had was beneath her chin making it extremely hard for her to bite at him. Worries of his sister attacking him were nonexistent even if she had the perfect opportunity, he was having fun attacking Nox right now and it's not like she wasn't loving the attention, "Who's the b***h now?" he teased between gentle yet aggressive bites at the female, none were strong enough to break the skin of course. It wasn't often Azazel fought to not draw blood but this was different, Alphas were allowed to play right? However, if this were a brute he'd be much, much more vicious and probably draw blood just because that's the way he thought. It wasn't like he thought of females as inferior, they were just so much smaller than him because of genes that if he wasn't careful he could easily kill them, he knew his strength and he had impeccable control over it. That and females were important to the pack, after all they bore the puppies, the males just provided the seed. If it were up to him he'd have a pack of just females other than himself and spread his seed to all of them and carry his blood lines along as much as possible. However, that would produce too much opportunity for incest when they grew old enough to mate themselves. As much as he'd like to be the only male, it just wasn't plausible. After all, he was going to take the forest as his, and demolish Uktena so they needed a strong pack of all kinds of wolves. Still, with Nox beneath him he continue to bite at her playfully, growling and snarling in beat.

The Omega had been resting at his usual spot when their leader Goliath howled for them to gather up, Rorin didn't know how much of use he would be, but he wanted to show his presence in the very least. So when all the wolves of Uktena gathered up sat in the background and eyed all whom spoke their word and idly wondered what was going to be the end result. Tilting his fluffy head he idly wondered what as a Omega was supposed to do? Stay and wait? Or thread along and not do anything? He was worried of getting in their way and his very presence might annoy them or put them down. After all he was pretty much the lowest rank of all. He himself knew he was capable of taking care off himself, he had survived this long after all. During the entire thing the black furred wolf stayed silent and sat there, minimizing his presence so he would not cause somebody annoyance.

Eventually Goliath called for his respective scouts to go ahead while he waited for the rest to choose whom they were going with. The healers seemed to be doing their own thing as well and Rorin was trying to make his own choice, perhaps he should ask the leader, but he didn't want to bother him with stupid questions. However he would love to be of help if he could. There was also the excited pup talking to some, wanting to learn how to hunt and such. Cute thing really, but so young and innocent. Idly he bobbed his head towards the scouts whom left, wishing them luck on the hunting grounds and that they might return safely to the den site. Things were different, now and Rorin knew they weren't going to bring any food to the den site due to safety measures that Goliath himself had implemented. It hardly mattered for the Omega he was the last to eat no matter what, even the pup was before him, which was completely fine by him of course. It was the way things worked and thus he did not complain. He would search for a rodent to eat if he got hungry enough. Rorin always survived, strangely enough considering his rank.

The submissive creature finally stood up, though kept his pose low as usual, even lower as he calmly and carefully approached the leader Goliath, completely submissive and respectful. A wry expression crossed his complexion and he did not look the male directly in the eye, but rather observed the others body language to spy any threatening behavior that might normally cause Rorin to roll unto his back and expose his stomach. "Is there anything special you would like me to do Sir? Or should I stay within the den?" he asked in a soft tone, figuring it was best to be safe rather than sorry that he had done something wrong. The black furred wolf truly loved being helpful if he could, but if not he would return to his spot and observe the pack. The weather was nice, so it was a good day to lie down and watch the busy life of the others.

Makoce tried to hide her enthusiasm as Abadiah answered her and asked for her to join him on a short walk to gather extra herbs for the healing den but was barely able to keep the quake of excitement from her tail. She had always felt comforted and safe around the elder male, more so than her own father, and would spend a majority of her spare time with the other healers and, if possible, the shaman as well. As a pup they had been worried about her health seeing as she was the youngest and seemingly scrawniest out of her litter and were afraid she wouldn't live to see her first winter. With their helping and caring nature she had grown by leaps and bounds and while not the largest wolf she was at least at the correct size for her age. In return for all their help and almost loving affection she had expressed her want to become a novice and had been accepted, much to her surprise.

Koss realized she had been lost in her thoughts and memories when she noticed Abadiah was up and heading towards the tree line and asking for her. She offered an anxious yip and bounded after him much like a young pup excited for their first time out the clearing.
"Coming sir!"

Silvery eyes narrowed at the snowy pelted fae as she practically bounded around the group like a young pup. She was overly excited today which was not usually like her, most of the time she was quiet and reserved and sweet, but this over exerted energy was putting any interest he had in her off. “Perhaps, Zheana, your enthusiasm could do with a little less volume?” He tested her as he watched her calmed down with a sheepish smile. “But don't lose that eagerness for the Scout of course.” He reminded her as she made off with Hati first.

The large brute watched the pack's Omega move slowly towards their leader and Varko couldn't help but feel for the humble creature. “Oh, c'mon Goliath. Do let the poor thing join the hunt? ” The wolf said as he sided over towards the larger male and looked down upon Rorin, establishing the difference between the two with subtle movements such as squaring his shoulders to look bigger. “You said it yourself, we are down on some Hunters today. Every pair of eyes will help us, including him, don't you think?” Varko was starting to treat Goliath more and more like a brother than his Alpha and had to remind himself at time exactly who he was addressing with. “Of course, the choice is all but yours to make, Alpha. But I think that the Omega has done well lately and deserves a bit of a reward.” The Warrior gave Rorin a look in question to see if the Omega would choose to object this opportunity before he glanced back at the small gathering that was now sifting into their two respective teams. Giving the Alpha a quick nudge to his side as he made his departure, Varko called back. “By the way, I'm going with Rook, I'll make sure she won't get into trouble for you.” With that Varko made a quick escape with his tail swishing out behind him before Goliath had the time to realise that he had just left his sister alone with potential suitors vying for her attention.

The sandy toned Warrior soon had himself hidden amongst the others of the second party where he sought out for Huntress. “I'll be glad to lend you my services, dear Rook.” He smiled gently at the pretty fae and he lowered his hind quarters into a seating position, flashing his pearly whites at her. “If you would have me on your team that is?” What a charmer he was. And he had to be! He wasn't the only male looking for mates and there were many for the faes to choose from. If he didn't make himself stand out, he'd be over looked and he wasn't getting any younger either, especially not when there's Bjorr easily snapping them up without trying. Ah, he should have settled down earlier than to have waited so long.

Zheana seem to bound and leap like a young buck around the group, anxious to start on the expedition and to prove her worth to the pack, unaware that her current excitement was starting to annoy her fellow packmates. It was only when Varko suddenly barked at her causing the fae to shrink on the spot with her ears lowered and tail between her legs. “Eheh, sorry there, Varko. It has been some time since I was allowed to lead out a scout out like this, it has gotten the better of me.” She grinned sheepishly as the Warrior turned his attention elsewhere and the white fae squared her shoulders and shook out her fur. 'Alright, time to stop playing around, Zheana. Better start acting like the mature wolf that you are and make Goliath proud.'

At Ghost's remark, the fae laughed lightly as she turned her attentions on him, moving her lithe frame towards the multicolored brute. “We shall have to see then, wont we?” She said to him with a smile. “Best of luck to both teams.” She watched silently as Ghost paid the rest of his interests towards the younger fae, Whisper and the snow wolf tilted her head a little at the visible courtship he displayed for her. Why couldn't the wolf she dreamed of look at her that way? Zheana would have done anything for him in return for just a lick to the muzzle to a nuzzle to her side. She sighed to herself, looking away when she heard the Alpha's call to get the hunt started.

Picking up quickly at her paws, she nimbly sprinted over towards Goliath and past him as she ran up ahead, not waiting for Hati to catch up as she soon stuck her nose to the ground, breathing in the scent deeply to decipher what the different smells were. Dirt clung onto her wet nose as she sniffed hurriedly, her tail wavering from a wag to a slow tick before it picked up again when she scented the musky scent of... what was it? Rabbit? No... it smelled like something much bigger... She moved up a little, her nose tracking the earth towards a northeasterly direction before it practically hit her in the snout. There! She breathed in deep again, her tail now straight at the end of her spine as she tested the air around and it brought her to a nearby tree where one of its sides was roughly rubbed against, shaving it by a couple of millimeters it seemed. Raising onto her strong hind legs, she lifted her front paws to rest up against the trunk of a tree where she stretched her neck to scent the pine and the wolf reared her head with a smile. “Stag.”

Resisting the urge to want to lift up her head and howl for her packmates like she would when she found something out of sorts during a normal scout, Zheana couldn't risk chasing away their prey if it were still nearby. Instead she left her post and ran back for Goliath. She had ran a good distance away from the hunting group, it was her job after all to go ahead and ensure that there were no enemy wolves around in their territory or harmful predators who could also be after the same meal, but her trusty nose told her that there was nothing dangerous around for miles. She kept up a brisk pace and when she finally saw the large brute coming up, the white wolf didn't allow her body to stop, instead she kept her muscles moving and ran two laps around the brute, not wanting her joints to have the chance to cool down and keep her heart pumping with adrenaline. “A stag. I scented a stag a short ways from here.” She said in the first lap. “We must hurry, it's heading east, but we may be able to corner it south and get it caught in the middle with the other group.” She called out after her as she moved to run back towards the place she last found the stags scent and to lead the party towards it.

The night had moved by slowly, her sleep deep and calm. Probably one of the deepest sleeps she'd had in a long long time. Normally her sleep was soft, always half way awake. She constantly worried about something happening to her family. So for her to have slept as deep as she had the night before was a strange one. She remembered walking to the den's Rook liked to rest in, and pushed her way through till she was over lapping over many of her wolf brethren and her head was being cradled in Rook's full soft coat. She had been dreaming of her puppy hood, playing around with her sisters and Goliath, being a jealous puppy, pushing his way in and playing with them. Her tail twitched slightly in her sleep and was awoke from her slumber when Rook pulled herself from the ground and lumbered outside. Jupiter raised her head to watch lazily as she stretched before bonding off to do what ever it was the pup like female did this early in the morning. Jupiter looked around, her eyes squinted with sleep. She often wondered how her sister could get up this early in the morning. To prance around after being awake for only a matter of minutes. Jupiter looked around the den looking at the others who had gone back to sleep after being awakened by Rook. She opened her mouth wide and looked back and forth from the mouth of the den to her sleeping pack mates. She could either lay her head back down to sleep or she could get up and start her day. Yawning once more she stood to her feet and pulled herself out of the den. No, sleeping was done. She had chores to do. Stretching out her legs as she took each step she made it to the healers den and stuck her head inside to check things out. She smiled slightly spying the new novice, Makoce, and Abadiah sleeping. She noticed Castel was no where to be seen, which had her thinking he had awoken early to go herb searching. The quiet male was probably off searching for herbs, something she as well should be doing. Backing out trying not to make a noise she turned and wandered off into the woods.

Her nose to the ground she wondered if she'd find some mushrooms or any small herbs. Her tail swayed behind her with each bouncing step. Her keen nose took her to the mustiest place. Her muzzle going in and out of different logs and holes in the trees. With each passing log, her white muzzle had a nice brown ring around it. Licking her nose she stopped and looked around. The sun was starting to make its way over the horizon leaving the skies bathed in beautiful pinks and yellows. She smiled slightly and closed her eyes taking in the first warm rays of the day. It was indeed beautiful out here. She turned slightly and moved her way down to the river. She wasn't going to find any mushrooms today. It would have needed to rain during the night and been humid to allow mushrooms to sprout out quickly. Making her way to the river, she thought lightly on everything that was going on. Her ear twitched slightly at the sound of her brothers howl. She stopped for only a second to look back to the den before turning away. She didn't really feel like heading back to the den. She wanted to stock up on herbs and such. If it was something important she'd ask Rook what it was about. Rook would tell her anything. Making her way upon the river she stopped behind some bushes, and looked around. Walking up on the river would be a death sentence if not properly looked over. She lifted her head slightly taking in the air and scenting things out. With a quick look around and a deep inhale of everything around her. She deemed it safe and walked out to the river. She hadn't know how thirsty she was till she saw the water. Walking over she lowered her head to the edge and lapped at the water. Oh the cool water felt good to her dry night throat. Lifting her head back, she licked her black nose. Hopefully she'd find some herbs.

Ooc: Hey, If you want Abadiah and Makoce to come upon Jupiter at the river thats totally fine. =D

Rook could barely keep herself still as everyone who was going to be joining them on the hunt began to split up between the two groups. The huntress’s tail nearly wagging with excitement as she looked over at Whisper and Ghost who had been assigned to scout for her patrol. “I’m counting on you two to help find us the best prey.” The playful fae announced as she looked at the two scouts confident that their patrol would be able to bring down something good to feed the pack. After all she was in charge of this patrol and she couldn’t just let her brother who wasn’t even a trained hunter bring down something and not bring down something as well.

“Alright everyone lets go find ourselves something to eat” Rook added cheerfully as she looked over the wolves gathered around her for the hunt. Her gaze traveling towards Varko’s sandy pelt as the male spoke up causing the fae to grin slightly “Oh of course I want you on my team the more help the better” she replied watching the sandy toned male for a moment. Before forcing herself to look back over at Whisper and Ghost forcing herself to calm down enough to at least look like she was trying to act like a good leader for the patrol. But it was just so hard for the fae to sit still for too long especially so soon after just waking up when she hadn’t even gotten the chance to use up any of her energy yet.

Taking count of the wolves that would be taking part in her patrol the huntress began to plan out just how best to take advantage of the skills that she knew each of them possessed. Because no matter how air headed and absent minded she might appear to be most of the time. Rook wasn’t stupid she knew how to use her head and use it well when she thought it necessary. And when it came to going out on a hunt there was no doubt in her mind that it was necessary to actually use her head. “Looks like our teams got all the muscle this is great!”

A large brute slept away on it's own, though within eyesight of a specific fae. If it wasn't for her, the brute would of have stayed a Subordinate for his entire time in this pack, and of course another friend helped just as equally, despite him seeing the brute as a rival. Well, even if the other doesn't. And speaking of which, the brute himself was near the fae he seems to have fallen for. Despite his rank as a Scout, the brute hold a size and bulk nearly matching Goliath's, making him a little slower than the lighter and swifter Scouts, but that doesn't stop the brute from fulfilling his duties. As an added bonus he can fight off threats should they come onto their territory. His green-yellow orbs gazed around the den site, seeing the lack of food the pack has at the kill pile. The brute stood and walked towards the pile of bones that had been left there, with no marrow to chew on. Talk about 'bone-dry'. He snorted and walked away, using the very nose he has learned to use the way the Scouts do, unfortunately even that wasn't enough to match the others'.

At the sound of a summoning howl, his brown ears perked and stood erect while his tail hung limp behind him. Goliath was calling everyone. Hati wasted no time and began to make his way to where he heard the call from and having been on the other side of the den site, it took him a moment to get there. By the time he arrived, Ghost was already sitting awfully close to Whisper, much to his annoyance, making him growl and stalk towards the group almost like a predator, though straight before anyone could notice him. He kept within ear range as Goliath began to speak of a hunt, with two hunting groups. Ghost will be partnered with Whisper, him with Zheana and Goliath will lead one of the groups...wait, WHAT?! The shy fae is to go with him?! You've got to be kidding me! His tail behind him flicked like an annoyed feline as he gave the brute a deathly glare the moment he saw that little grin on his muzzle.

His uniquely colored hued gazed over to Zheana as she spoke rather sprightly, she even included him in her sentence, but he was late to reply as he could only hear her but nor see her. The brute went as far as to snort quietly when Ghost spoke up in saying that it was going to be them who will kill the first prey. Although displeased he was not partnered with the fae he wanted, the ivory fae held mesmerizing beauty, so it wasn't all bad. She was lively and he could tell she hold a past, all faes do, and he is sure her past isn't as dark as his. He smirked when Zheana expertly spoke of spotting prey, which he could see downed the other brute scout, a little. However his smirk disappeared the moment the brute spoke to Whisper
'Oh shut the ******** up already, before I rip out your windpipe.' Hati forced himself to crack a smile even upon having those dark thoughts. He barely spent time with Whisper and even if he did the brute would pop up out of the blue at times.

Sighing, he walked over to Zheana's side, deciding to share part of the kill with Whisper when they get back from hunting. He's already getting his time with her and so he was going to get his time as well. Wait. Dammit. There he goes again, thinking her to be a 'prize' rather than a female. His ears dropped and his expression seemed to saddened a little...was he ever going to change? If so, how can he possibly do it? Hati feels like he needs her, her personality brings him peace he has never felt before. Digging his claws onto the ground, he lightly shook his head. He began to automatically follow Goliath as soon as he called for them to head out. As the group walked, Hati absentmindedly walked along side his ivory partner, lightly bumping into her as he got lost in his own thoughts. It was only when the ivory beauty shot straight forward that he snapped out of it. He was out of it, and he hoped he was not disappointing Goliath. When the fae came back, she informed them of having found a Stag while telling them a game plan and as soon as she began to run back, Hati was quick to follow.

Golden eyes-- bright, smoldering, curious, framed by fur as white as the snow-laden earth. Lysander had become so captivated by the movements of the Uktena fae, that he’d forgotten about the blood caking his face and chest. He laid there in the shade, watching. He’d come to the river to wash his coat anew in the chilly waters, but she had stepped out just moments before him on the opposite side. He’d retreated and worried she had seen him, but luck was on his side and she ventured out to drink from the river. It was a secret curiosity the brute had in him-- watching the Uktena wolves from a high peak or dense thicket. Hearing their conversations. Watching their happy playful banter. He’d become so accustomed to the anger that existed between his own pack members, that seeing wolves act any different was unfathomable. Was it possible to actually love your packmates, rather than see them as necessary annoyances? Lysander wasn’t sure, but this seem to be the way of it in Uktena and the knowledge had plagued them since the first time he’d spied the odd creatures.

Watching the fae brought around feelings of anger, but also pleasure. Guilt and desire. He should kill the fae as Azazel would want, but no such feelings of animosity roused inside of him. He was alone in the thicket, and free to think what he wanted. He wondered what she’d think of him. Would those golden eyes, so beautiful in their depth, stare at him in horror. Would she snarl and try to chase him off.

                                          He should kill her.

Lysander sighed and brought his paws beneath him, poking his nose out first before the rest of his body followed through. The sand sifted beneath his paws and he stumbled once before finding his balance on the unreliable terrain. He didn’t look at her directly, instead one ear turned in her direction while his hackles rose in a defensive posture. The blood caked onto his fur now burned him like an open fire--- she would know what it was. Even a puppy could differentiate between prey blood and wolf blood. He feared her reaction more than was reasonable, given their respective alliances.

He didn’t pause at the rivers edge, but instead waded in until the water washed over his chest. It was cold and quite the jolt, but getting the blood off of him took presidency over everything else. With a wary glance in her direction, Lysander ducked his head under the current and then snapped it back up, shaking his fur vigorously. He shook his body, thrashing the water to help it do its job. The current helped and it did not take long for the brute to be clean of his previous actions and burdensome guilt. As he exited the water, he stopped and turned to his eyes to meet hers. He stared for a long period, as if on the verge of saying something, and then retreated into the woods of his own territory, his gait stiff and troubled.

Abadiah moved at a steady but not unburdened pace, his nose active at the end of his snout. Every so often he would pause to inspect a bundle of green or flower and, more often than not, would move on without disturbing it further. When it came to logs, Abadiah had the advantage of his size. Despite the injured leg, he was still a powerful animal and could lift most logs high enough for Makoce to snatch a peek under it, by bracing his shoulder and pushing with his good leg. Not that he could just shove it out of the way, though some were small enough or broken enough that he could. Eventually he came across Jupiters scent and grinned as he inhaled the familiar aroma. She was out scouting for herbs just as they were.

Abadiah grinned at Makoce and then proceeded to track the white healer, her paws steps light on the earth. Abadiah was not much of a tracker, but hunting for herbs had peaked his nose to following a scent, so keeping on Jupiters trail was almost second nature-- so long as her smell was not broken by the earth or weather.

When they came to the river, he froze in the brush. There was Jupiter, but there was also a male he’d never seen before bathing in the water. Clearly a Sioux wolf. A younger Abadiah may have rushed down without thinking, but he was no longer young or as spry as the wolf bathing in the water. He was also at a severe disadvantage with his mangled leg, which was tempered by his incredibly size advantage. Even after all the years gathering herbs, every bit of his training as a warrior came rushing back, even if his body could no longer own up to the requirements of it. He waited, watching the brute and gauging his intentions.

If he moved as if to cross, Abadiah would rush down, but for now he remained put. After the wolf was done with his business, he stepped out of the water. Abadiah expected him to leave, but he stopped to watch Jupiter. The brute did not like the way he was looking at the white fae and it was evident in the way his hackles rose. A low growl manifested in his chest and moments later, the sioux male returned into the depths of his own territory.

The healer shook himself and trotted onto the shore, lifting his injured paw as to not strain it on the ever shifting sand and stones.

Jupiter,” He called, his eyes on the other side of the river. He didn’t trust the stranger not to return, or for there not to be other sioux wolves nearby.

His paws were drenched in blood, from the very wolves which Azazel had so graciously brought them. Jah had been quick to eat and equally fast to lie down away from the rest, where he had been when the leader showed up in the first place. Now he was half asleep, the sounds starting to bug him awake, bit by bit. A low snarl came from him, hating to be interrupted while he rested his head upon his dirty paws. Things were lively in Sioux today and they were becoming more and more noisy as the minutes spread on. Azazel seemed to be having a playful fight with his sister and such and it all seemed good and fun, but it was annoying when the scout was trying to sleep. Groaning he lifted his paws to try and hide his ears, which of course didn't quite work the way he wanted it to, it only hurt to bend them in a such a manner.

The fight continued and Jah rolled his eyes at times the male seemed like such a cub, but he was truly ruthless and the spotted wolf knew better then to question is play fighting. It was completely normal for the leader to not want to kill his own pack mates, after all even the females were needed, if only to carry pups. This wolf did not value the feas that much, due to the last one upping and going on him like that. They were good for pleasure, fun and such, but nothing more. Jah had sworn to himself to never fall again, because it seemed stupid to do so. It was easy to betray, especially for the seemingly cunning females. With one golden hue open he watched the battle enfold, the other closed as he tried to gain some rest.

It seemed Azazel was toppling Nox at the current time, dominating the Warrior entirely. Poor female must be swooning over such a strong and capable man, blergh he wanted to puke. Perhaps it was because Jah did not understand their leaders ultimate need to mate, sure Nox was pretty and capable for a fae, but pups were such weak creature and far too easy to kill. Most of all they were annoying and a liability. Spotty truly hoped he would never be left watching one in the future, it was not his job, but there was little he could do if Azazel ordered him. Sure he could fight, but what would that gain? New scars? Sure if he was lucky he might win, but the leader was quite larger then him and the light furred wolf was more of a scout, a stalker of the shadows. Not a brute, but a calculating creature which manipulated anything he could get his claws unto.

Currently his blood was boiling in annoyance, the fight was truly disturbing his sleep and he wanted to walk away and leave their "romantic" dance to themselves. With a flare of anger he stood up and was ready to march away, but just as he was headed away from the den he stepped unto a sharp pine needle and it dug unto his paw. With a winch he lifted the paw to try and sneak a peek and the needle was indeed stuck in one of his soft pads. Grimacing he glared at it, willing it to remove itself. But of course it wouldn't just magically jump out of his pad, he could dream it, but that was it. Idly he looked around and spotted Storm a bit ways of, she was a healer and pretty and he was lazy and perhaps she would manage to sooth his anger like she soothed other ailments. Ever so carefully he made his way over to the fae and nudged at her with his shoulder, not stepping on his front paw which had the pine needle indented into his soft flesh. "Storm, remove this for me" he said in a normal manner, it wasn't a order really, more a request of laziness and he urged his paw forward towards her, trying to twist it for easier access. So she could see exactly what he wanted her to remove in the first place, lest she might understand and remove something else entirely. After all she was a member of Sioux it wouldn't be surprising.

xxxxG o l i a t h split the the pack into two groups, those who volunteered or were asked to go with him were Zheana, Hati, Aven, Castiel, and Rorin. Whereas those going with his sister, Rook's, party were Whisper, Ghost, Varko and Bjorr. Goliath found himself slightly worried, but not because of the ranks going with her but the fact two of them were males, males that liked his sister. Unfortunately there was nothing he could do without making a large deal out of things... so he assumed they would be fine, with a team mostly made up of muscle, which should keep her safe. Most of the wolves volunteered to come, even Rorin who had approached asking what he could do be it attending the hunt, or staying at the den doing something of the Alpha's wish. Smiling he went to reply to the Omega when a fellow warrior spoke up, a close friend of his that went by the name of Varko. The comments that were made, made Goliath almost glare at his friend. He needed not for him to speak like that, however, his ears perked when he spoke of leaving to go with Rook. "Rorin, you are welcome to come on the hunt with my group if you wish." she spoke softly and kindly to the Omega, it wasn't uncommon for the wolf of such a low rank to tag along.

xxxxW i t h o u t further ado, one of the scouts bounded out ahead of the group as soon as they began moving. Goliath shook his head and chuckled at her extremely strong enthusiasm. Looking at Aven and Castiel they were following him closely and he smiled, "The heart of an over grown puppy she possesses." he spoke fondly of Zheana, not in a lustful type of way, in a way that he thought she was adorable without having actual feelings for her. Hati soon followed in suit, doing his job as always. Within moments it seemed she was back and speaking of catching the scent of a stag. Perking his ears he looked at the fae, "Great find Zheana, but keep in mind that if he is as strong as most stages and not injured or sick... we will be better off not hunting moving on for more than one reason." he explained, sounding wise. If anyone were to ask questions he'd explain by stating that Uktena wolves were not greedy and they weren't interested in gaining meals of the largest animals for two reasons, as he said back at the den, the herds needed their strong members to thrive and stay strong and multiply for the simple fact that they are the means of the wolves food in which they needed to survive. If they went out and killed the strong beings of the herd it would crumble, one by one leaving Uktena to suffer and attempt to find other means of food. Secondly, a strong stag would have a set of dangerous antlers, something that could injure a wolf gravely with even a swing of half assed attempt. Many questions popped into Goliath's head, was this stag the only scent they came across so far because he'd lost his herd due to a weakness? Or was he one of the protectors that lived on the edge of the herd to keep it safe from harm? The only way one could tell was if they were to follow Zheana's lead and come up with a plan upon a visual. "Alright, lead the way." he spoke, quickening his pace to keep up with the white, rambunctious scout.

xxxxS e v e r a l minutes passed and they came across were path the stag was travelling. There was evidence of blood as well. This was seemingly a good choice to follow out. "Zheana, Castiel" he spoke in a whisper, "Head on to the west, against the wind, and find an angle best suited for an ambush." he ordered, "Hati, Rorin head east and approach the stag down wind. Spooking it with your scent, hopefully sending it directly in Zheana and Castiel's direction." he spoke, happy the party was made up of an even six wolves. The Alpha looked each wolf in the eye as he spoke their names. "Aven and I will head on forward and hide within a bush or somewhere hidden and wait until the stag begins it's run in fear. I will howl when it's time for us all to make our move." he explained the game plan, it seemed flawless, he looked at Aven, the hunter for any other thoughts, part of him wanted to ask her if she thought this would work for Goliath had not chosen the rank of a Hunter as his main muse. As soon as the group disburse he once again looked at Aven then started walking as according to plan. Several more minutes passed, everyone was in their correct positions. He knew they needed to wait for the stag had yet to take notice. Goliath took this time to observe the animal in question. "It's near rutting season, looks like this poor guy lost a fight, and badly." he whispered to his current hunting partner, the stag was freshly missing an antler for blood was running down the side of his face. There were also a couple puncture wounds on his side and near his rump on his back legs. In all reality, this stag would have probably died of blood loss within the next few hours. Goliath felt at ease of putting it out of it's misery. The moment the black male noticed the target raise his ears in question, followed by a flip of his white tail he knew it was nearly time. Moving slightly with anticipation he growled lowly to calm himself down, instantly the stag bolted, directly for where the other two were hiding. "Lets go!" he told Aven as he burst through the bush, howling at the same time. This hunt was on, it was up too Castiel and Zheana to make the first attacks, for he would have the killing blow.

With a bored yawn, Akela stretched out on top of the thick tree trunk. It was low enough for her to climb up, but high up off the ground enough to give her great surveillance of her surroundings. Plus, it pretty much felt like a throne. Which she was quite worthy of, she thought. She watched as Azazel marched off to do something, too far off for her to hear, but he soon returned with the bodies of two wolves. Looked like breakfast was up. Akela wasn't particularly hungry, however, and didn't much feel like fighting over meat among her packmates. She watched the far away forms of packmates converge upon the bodies, gorging themselves as a sparring was kicked up by Azazel, Nox, and Xira. Huffing, the fae let her gaze drift, searching the horizon. Hardly anything had been going on as of late, and it was absolutely dreadful.
Akela had joined this packs in hopes that she'd be able to better fit in. Uktena had just been too soft for her. Wolves were too easily hurt by her words, and no one was up to sparring with her, as she often got too rough. Sure, there'd been trouble along the way here, which had been fun. Her sister, Ronja, had decided to tag along. For what reason Akela didn't know. Ronja probably belonged less in Sioux than Uktena, but the other fae hadn't fared there very well, either. Then, as they had approached the Sioux border, a warrior and a scout had ambushed them, anticipating the two faes joining their rival pack. And though Ronja hadn't wanted to kill the two, Akela was all for giving Sioux's alpha a good reason to accept her. The fight had ended in the death of the two males, one by each fae, and Akela had ordered Ronja to drag her kill to the border, showing off their trophies when Azazel had come to their calling. Then, without further ado, Akela had immediately dug into the carcass, Ronja following suit. Wolf wasn't her favorite food, but there was something about the taboo that made it good.
But what good was being in the killer pack, when they had nothing to do? Sighing, Akela pushed to her feet, eyes narrowing as they landed once more on the pack members feasting some ways away. And guess who was missing? Storm, who was probably in her den, doing whatever it was the strange fae did in her free time. It was always hard to tell which side of Storm you were going to get. But Akela made it a point to try and stay on the good one. Jumping down from her tall stump, Akela loped over to the carcass, saying her thanks to the sparring Azazel as she trotted by. Practically waltzing in to the kill, she made her way past the other wolves, snapping at lower ranking pack mates as she went, until she was able to snatch a hold on the dead wolf. Tearing off a sizable chunk, she loped away before anyone could think to steal it from her.
With food in tow, Akela headed for the healer's den. That was where she usually was, when she wasn't going collecting herbs. Or whatever. Akela wasn't sure. And she, quite frankly, didn't really care. Rounding the corner and making her way over to the gnarled roots that marked the entrance of the healer's den. Setting the meat down, Akela poked her head into the den and squinted, looking for the healer through the low light. "Hey Storm, I brought ya breakfast."

During the hunt, the snowy fae had noted that Hati was acting a little out of sorts but she didn't think anything of it and chalked it up to the brute probably being disappointed that he was paired up with her instead of the alluring Whisper. Quite the little charmer she was growing to be. She had all the males eyes on her and Zheana could see why, she was one of the few females that didn't have Goliath's watchful eyes on them all through the day and night. Still, she did worry about her Scout mate as he brushed against her side every so often. “I'm going to go up ahead.” She told him before taking off with a burst that carried her slim but strong legs into the distance.

After she had returned and was now leading the party back to her find, she sided up against her fellow Scout and matched down his speed knowing that he ran a little slower than she did. “We might be in luck to beat Ghost's and Whisper's group after all.” She laughed just before she leaped over a log, her paws hitting the ground softly upon landing as she kept up with her sprint. “I hope it doesn't upset Rook too much if we do though.” Zheana said in an afterthought. The Alpha's sister was an amazing Huntress and it would have been such a nice sight to see her take down the first kill. It wasn't everyday that the siblings got to show up their big brother.

As they neared the sight, Zheana slowed herself down into a canter before she ran into a trot towards the exact location she scented the stag. By now, she was starting to pant lightly and she wished they were near a cool stream for her to lap some fresh water to quest the growing thirst she was building, but the Scout was going to have to toughen it up till the end of the hunt, and from the sounds of things, she wasn't going to be allowed to slow down either. She stayed standing, but kept her body low to the ground as her fur stood out much more than the her companions around her which could give their party away. There were eyes all over the forest. Birds were such traitors sometimes...

Upon hearing her new orders, she fae nodded quietly as she rounded over towards the often quiet male, Castiel. “I'm ready when you are.” She breathed out in a whisper to the Healer and offered a smile to him to reassure any doubts he may have in her ability to keep running. She was tired, but still has lots of energy to spare. Golden eyes glanced at Castiel briefly before focusing back on the Alpha. She liked the other wolf's company and enjoyed listening to one of his jokes whenever someone in the pack snapped at her for being too overly joyful around them. She always felt at ease with the gentle brute and never had to worry about accidently angering him as easily as she could with Hati when he was in one of his moods. No one was as easy to please as Azazel, so really, most of the wolves in Uktena were easy in comparison. Still, if she could avoid her ear being chewed off, then all the better.
