School starts tomorrow. The last week has been a nonstop frenzy! Uncle Wocky is aces and I love The Looking Glass. All of the books there used to be part of his hoard, until it got so large that a tumbling tower of books trapped him in his flat for a week. All of us dragons hoard things, it's just what we dragons do. I hoard books and shoes, but I don't have enough to trap me somewhere...yet. I told Uncle Wocky that I would like to help out at his store after school and he said he'd appreciate the help, as long as I stayed away from the Forbidden Tome section. I admit I was curious, but I promised to keep my distance.
The Looking Glass is very close to the Maul, so I was able to get my school shopping done in quick order. Luckily, there is a vintage clothing store called 'Fashion Bites' run by a very nice vampire, so I was able to find several outfits to fit my style. Blimey, was she surprised when I mentioned she was the first vampire I've ever met! In Avalon, there are only dragons, gargoyles and all of those knights. While I was in the store, I saw a werewolf, another very little vampire, and a mint-coloured girl who was all stitched together. I suppose they are going to Monster High, too. I could have gone over and said hi, but they seemed very busy shopping, and then my wings got caught in a petticoat that was hanging up and I knocked over an entire clothing rack. So mortalfying!
I am very nervous about how my first day of school in a new school and a new country is going to go. I plan on keeping in the background and trying to blend in as much as possible without calling attention to myself, but...
