I have been keeping myself busy this summer. Draculaura and I are co-writing a novel...she writes a chapter and then passes the notebook off to me, and I write a chapter. We don't discuss plans with each other, so the novel is taking some creepy cool twists and turns! It started off as the story of two werewolf twins lost in the normie city, but then it became more of a romance novel about them falling in love with a pair of werecats. Then they were kidnapped by normie scientists and shot into space! You can sort of tell which chapters Ula wrote and which ones I did...

I've also finished up with the Shakesfeare in the Dark troupe for our run of 'A Midsummer Night's Scream.' It went all well until Glen decided to invite his entire family to our last performance. I think nearly 200 witches and wizards showed up in all! Bloody bats! I was petrified. Fortunately, Slow-Moe gave me an uhhh-mazing pep talk and I managed to make it through the performance without freezing up, crying, or throwing up on the audience (though if I did, I was going to be sure to aim for Glen).

Because of the success of the last performance, SITD actually had more interest from new actors to join the troupe! Robecca Steam asked to try out and Draculaura was interested before she had to bow out because of a summer trip to Scaris. We even got some offers to help with the set from Melody Nocturna, who did a clawesome job with the sets on the boosical 'My Scare Lady' for school. Well, Slo-Moe just couldn't say no, and so SITD will be doing a new performance next month! We've decided on a tragedy this time, the sad story of King Fear. Slo-Moe already promised me the part of Goredelia, King Fear's youngest daughter.

I'm still quite sad about the break-up with Manny. I thought for sure he'd at least send me a postcard, but there's been nothing so far. Hellene has offered to have a creepover tonight, where we will watch movies like "She's All Bat" and talk about how boos ruin everything. I don't know if I agree with that, but I do really feel like there are cracks in my ruby heart...
