Hobbies:Yoga: Doing yoga is Sterlings favorite way of unwinding after a long day. He finds it utterly calming to simply stretch and
breathe. After studying so hard for his Masters, he needs something to relax him, and is often doing yoga both when he first wakes up and before he goes to bed. He’s tried a few yoga classes, but prefers to do the activity alone.
Home Improvements: Besides Pizza, Sterling says that he has only one other guilty pleasure, and that is watching renovation shows. He pays for cable in his apartment just so that he can be sure to have HGTV, and lives off of the various shows. He enjoys working with his hands and is endlessly thinking up new projects to make the apartment more of a home. He hopes one day soon to have a house of his own so that he can
really start making improvements.
Shopping: Though he doesn’t get to do it in the city as often as he would like, Sterling loves to shop. Ever since starting on his Master’s degree most of his shopping has been relegated to what he can do online, but he doesn’t mind too much. Nothing beats walking along and taking in the sights of the storefronts though, and whenever he gets a few free hours, he walks through the city, even if it’s just go to window shopping.
VirtuesTrusting: Everyone is good until proven otherwise, and for Sterling, it is very difficult, if not utterly impossible to prove him otherwise. It is difficult for him to doubt both people’s words and intentions, and as such, he is a great person to have around. He will always have your back, and it will take a lot for him to no longer have your back.
Non-Judgmental: People have their own lives, and Sterling feels that unless whatever they are doing is something that is directly impacting your life, there is no reason to know about it, or condemn them. It isn’t your concern, and you should leave it at that. Sterling doesn’t care about your mistakes, he forgives people very easily, and doesn’t hold any grudges. So long as you aren’t actively trying to harm people, he couldn’t care less just what it is you are doing, and will always be on your side.
FlawsNaïve: It isn’t as though Sterling tries to be so innocent to the darkness in the world. He just…can’t help it. Often times he works hard to be the one who doesn’t judge that he comes off as someone who has been sheltered all of his life, which is somewhat the case. He doesn’t spend much time on the internet, and doesn’t watch the news, he keeps himself sheltered and prefers to learn what’s going on through books rather than facing what’s really out there. Often times this leaves him at a very disadvantaged position.
Aloof: Perhaps this arises from the fact that he is so naïve, but often, Sterling has trouble really connecting with people. He is always kind, but it is very difficult for him to truly make any lasting bonds, he doesn’t consider anyone to really be his friend, and those that become that, are always in danger of him just going unreachable again. He can’t help it, it’s just how he has always been. Sometimes it makes life far more difficult than it has to be, never feeling like he is a part of things.
