Teams, Brigades, and Courts

Sometimes, fighting alone is a daunting task. Coming together can bring great strength--and more power. Please review the following information posts if you are interested in forming a group to see which is most appropriate for your plots!

    • A Team is any group of powered characters that come together; there can be Order Teams or Chaos teams, and though a Team can bring together a group of people, there are no special magical abilities that come from joining a Team. Teams do not need shop permission to be created. A Team Registry can be found below, along with instructions on how to be added to the list.

    • A Brigade consists of at least four Knights and when formed grants them special abilities. Only Knights can join a Brigade. Brigades must have shop approval before they can come into play. A Brigade Registry can be found below, along with instructions on how to be added to the list.

    • A Court consists of at least four Senshi and when formed grants them special abilities. Only Order Senshi can join a Court. Courts must have shop approval before they can come into play. A Court Registry can be found below, along with instructions on how to be added to the list.

Additional information on Teams, Brigades, and Courts can be found in the FAQ below!

Teams: A Gathering of Allies

What is a Team?

A Team is any collection of individuals who have come together to accomplish a shared goal. Teams can be composed of Order Characters or Chaos Characters, but it is almost impossible to have a team that consists of members from both. However, Teams can mix and match members of different factions to come together and further their own goals. Teams are different from Brigades and Courts in that they do not gain any extra abilities by assembling. Plots may yield unique items to be gained by the Teams, but this is not guaranteed and is dependent on the Team’s need for such and their submitted plots to earn them. Otherwise, Teams are just organized groups.

Teams can be Order or Chaos based, and can be run however the affiliated players desire. A team may all have the same power, may have a leader, may have a council--this is entirely dependent on player choice. Teams have no restrictions for the types of characters that can be involved, but any team that has both Order and Chaos characters needs to be aware that such affiliations are not encouraged and, especially in the case of the Negaverse, may be punishable on the basis of treason.

Teams do not need shop approval to form and players may use this as an IC Mechanic as soon as they come together.

Typically, only powered characters are involved in Teams. A powered character can be involved in as many teams as they like provided the teams allow that. A character can still be a part of a Court or Brigade and be affiliated with outside Teams as well!

Team Registry

This log of Teams is intended for OOC use only and is meant to make reference and contact easy for anyone interested in joining or plotting with established groups. You may not ICly play with any of the following information without permission from the group. This registry is only for Teams that are officially in play. If you have a Team that is not on this list, please fill out the following form so we can add you! When you have filled out the form, please PM The Space Cauldron. Similarly, if you need information on your Team to be updated, or if you would like it removed from this list for any reason, please contact the mule!

    Quote:
    Team Name:
Leader: (If there is no leader, or multiple leaders, please share this!)
Current Members: (Who is currently active in your Team)
What brought this Team together/what are their goals? (What brought the group together? What are their goals, what do they hope to accomplish, and what areas of interest do they have?)
Are you available for plots? (Please link to a plot thread or any player contact information the players can use if they need to reach out for plots. You can also use this section to include any information you would like to share about plots, such as what plots you are looking for or if you are accepting new members!)
Date Last updated: (Please remember to periodically PM the shop mule to confirm your information is accurate, especially if you are available for plots! Players may check this before reaching out to anyone so it is important to stay up to date!)

Team Log: Order

Will be updated as forms are submitted!

Team Log: Chaos

    Quote:
    Team Name: Team Shaitan
Leader: Faustite is the de facto leader, though all of the Eternals and Generals manage the team on a more personal level.
Current Members: Faustite, Albite, Alkmene, Heliodor, Fafnir, Mizuki, Fulgurite, Celadonite, Magnus, Haymitch, Tama, Jadarite, Borax, Pax, Vesuvianite, Thornasite, Guinevere, Miyamoto, Lionel, Briartite, Valjean, Cryolite, and Taaffeite.
What brought this Team together/what are their goals? Much of the group's main goal is to serve the Negaverse in a way at which they are most adept. For some members, it's by attacking the enemy and gathering starseeds, while for other members, it's through infiltrating businesses and gaining civilian assets. All members are encouraged to find and do what they are good at in order to further Negaverse goals, and doing so often involves other members helping each other out. It's important to note that no single member is expected to excel at everything — that's what teammates are for! They help each other shore up their weaknesses.
Are you available for plots? Yep! We are always accepting new members, and plots are hashed out in the team's Discord server. If you would like to plot with/join the team, please reach out to myself or the player of the applicable team member!

    Quote:
Team Name: Atropa Belladonna - i.e: AtroBella
    Leader: General Prehnite
Current Members: Prehnite, Hatsya, Hylonome, Mizuki, Actaea, Sodalite, Iolanthe, Jan
What brought this Team together/what are their goals: Thrown together after the Massive Corruption Meta. Personally? Prehnite simply likes plants and Hatsya's convinced he's making a literal deadly Garden of Eden. He wouldn't disagree, however his and his teams get-along-ing extends well beyond flora and a deep seeded love of horticulture and all things blooming green. A majority of the members have lost most or all of their memories, the process of putting back together a whole person takes time, patience, and most importantly? A supportive team.

Are you available for plots: The team is always available for any plots of any sort! Their members are a meshing of cranky old-guard and bright new-budding talents. Prehnite's doors to his home -- and office -- are always open and whether he likes it or not, he has a team. He encourages all within his team to spread their roots and grow! Primarily the team consists of murder hobo's, healers, teachers, grumps and sourly calculating types. Reed (Prehnite) presides under Lepidolite's Branch and has a very public image as a teacher at St. Romanos where he's remained since it's earliest days of inception. Sonia (Hatsya) holds a position at a fencing school, where she too practices and tutors. So there are always options for iirc meetups, corruptions, finding a team to foothold and also a team discord!

When a supporting role is necessary, team AtroBella is there!

[ALL PLANTS WELCOME BUT ALSO?! ALL SENSHI ARE WELCOME! BUT ALSO!? YOUMA, AGENTS! THE WHOLE NINE!]

Brigades: The Gathering of Knights

What is a Brigade?

A Brigade is a gathering of Knights that have come together and formed a special bond. They generally have a mission, a purpose, or a goal that binds them together. It could be something as simple as being from the same Planet, or it could be something more specific, like a shared ideal. A Brigade is made up of at least four Knights; only Knights can join a Brigade. Brigades should be based around a group of people that are dedicated to one another or a shared goal. Your Knight can be a member of more than one Brigade at a time but they can only be the Captain of one Brigade. There may be individual teams inside a Brigade and even outside but teams do not have the same power benefits as a Brigade would. Though Brigades generally have a leader, the group may instead elect to run as equals. If a leader is selected, that character is eligible to summon a Brigade Banner. If there is no leader in a Brigade, any member may summon the Brigade Banner.

Creating and Joining a Brigade

The method for creating a new Brigade and joining an existing one are slightly different!

    Establishing a new Brigade

Once you have four Knights and have decided to form a Brigade, the group should send a formal declaration to the shop mule, The Space Cauldron using the following form:
      Quote:
Brigade Name: What does your Brigade call itself?
Leader: (If there is no leader, please indicate this!)
Founding Members: Which characters are coming together to form the Brigade? Players may have multiple characters involved in this, but there must be at least two different players involved in the creation of a Brigade!
Roleplays: The founding members of the Brigade must have at least five roleplays together to establish themselves. These must include all founding members; it cannot be fragmented portions of the group. They can be civilian RPs or powered, but they should show the group coming together and forming bonds. They can be regulars or battles.
What brought this Brigade together/what are their goals? What do these characters have in common, what will keep them together, and what will they continue to work towards?
Plot to reach Headquarters: A Brigade must unlock their Headquarters to become official; until they reach their Headquarters, they are only a team. To reach Headquarters for the first time, the group must have a plot that solidifies their bond to each other. This might be coming together in a big battle, working together to accomplish a goal, or any plot that showcases their bonds and loyalty to each other. This plot will differ for each group, so please just consider what goals your Brigade has and what connection they share. Your plot should emphasize what they hope to encompass. Once they have completed this plot, they will feel a pull towards their Headquarters. When they arrive together, they will officially become a Brigade and can be added to the register.
Headquarters Description: This is typically just a room with the necessities the Brigade will need to function. This might include tables to work on, places to sit, storage, or basic amenities. Headquarters may be more furnished if the Brigade was established in the past, and may be more decorative or stylized. Even Brigades established in present day may find that the area is themed on them or has special features based on their needs. The more a Brigade invests into themselves, the more the Headquarters will reflect their efforts, however it may still be required to furnish or renovate the Headquarters. A strange magic provides the space here but it cannot create things out of nothing. Please describe the state of your Headquarters as first discovered, but know that you can revise and expand this as the Brigade develops and improves it. Please describe the area, be it architectural, amenities, window-views, etc; please also indicate if the Brigade is newly founded or if it existed in the past as well.

Until this is approved by staff, your group will be considered a Team and will not yet have the benefits of a Brigade

    Joining an Existing Brigade:

To join an existing Brigade, players will need to develop a relationship with members prior to joining. Characters cannot be added to an established Brigade offscreen nor can this development be handwaved. Characters will need to do at least three roleplays with Brigade members before being given full Brigade perks and being added to their official roster. The following form will be used:

      Quote:
Character Name: (Include a link to their journal)
Currently affiliated with: (Include the names of all Brigades they have already joined)
Leader of: (Include the Brigade they are a leader of; if they are not a leader, please just put N/A)
Joining: (Include the name of the Brigade they are joining)
RPs: (Please include three finished RPs with existing Brigade members where you have written at least 500 words)

    The Brigade Registry

Once you have a Brigade approved, you can PM The Space Cauldron to be added to the Brigade Registry. The Brigade Registry includes information about active Brigades, including their goals and which characters are members of the Brigade. Brigades can link to their plotting thread or advertise, and players can get an idea for what active Brigades can be called upon for plots. Forms to join the Registry and more information about it can be found here!

Brigade Features

Brigades have benefits that a single Knight alone cannot achieve. Through their dedication to their goal or their shared bond with the other members of a Brigade they will be able to unlock the doors to a small cache of new powers.

      Brigade Teleport

Requires at least four Knights to perform but will allow the Brigade to travel to any non-meta location the group can collectively imagine. Most commonly this will be to individual Wonders or to their Headquarters. Traveling in this way allows the group to move together without using any of their Deep Space Allowances. This can be done once every two weeks. To use Brigade Teleportation, the group simply needs to hold hands and focus. You cannot teleport anywhere without permission from the player.

      Brigade Headquarters

Brigade Headquarters function as a study/gathering area that have magically appeared to meet the needs of the group. Headquarters may either be a new location created for them by some cosmic force or it may have belonged to the group in the past; Headquarters established during the Silver Millennium areas may be more stylized or decorated based on the care from the previous group. Brigades established in present day may find that the area is themed on them or has special features based on their needs. The more a Brigade invests into themselves, the more the Headquarters will reflect their efforts, however it may still be required to furnish or renovate the Headquarters. A strange magic provides the space here but it cannot create things out of nothing. Upon arrival, Headquarters might already have tables to work on, places to sit, storage, or basic amenities. Headquarters may be one room or it may have several rooms; the larger a group is, the more space they might have.

Headquarters are not located on Earth; they can appear either in a pocket dimension in deep space (where they might have windows that depict the vast universe but without any identifiable celestial bodies) or on the Moon (where characters can look out of the windows and recognize the Moon). Despite Headquarters being on the Moon, groups cannot access Headquarters or the Moon more often by using alternate methods of transportation to reach the Moon (such as Moon Pearls or Star Brooches). Group Headquarters are in an isolated ward of the Moon and groups will find that the doors leading outside of their Headquarters are always locked. However, inside their Headquarters, groups may discover a magical portal that allows them access to Headquarters located on the Moon as well as Headquarters located in the mysterious deep space Hall. These locations can be extensions of each other or different locations to serve different purposes! The portal between the two areas will feel like stepping through a door and there is no limit to how often they can travel between the locations during a Headquarters visit.

It is impossible to see or hear other groups in the area, or feel energy signatures, so Headquarters are very isolated and safe to allow private meetings. It is impossible to find information about who built these rooms or who has maintained them; even Brigades that were established during the Silver Millennium cannot recall how they came to be, only that they were created for them by a trusted source. The Headquarters will always feel safe, and while here, members will find that they are naturally more in tune with each other. They may have an innate sensation for how to access Brigade powers; this might manifest as instinct, or it may manifest as brief flashbacks if the group established during their past life incarnations and already had access to the abilities at one point in time.

Only members of the group may then enter their Headquarters. The entire team does not need to be present to access Headquarters, but at least four members must be present to use Group Teleportation. The group must use their Group Teleportation to come to this room if needed, but they cannot leave their Headquarters and explore. They may visit their Headquarters once every two weeks using Group Teleportation. Groups can also unlock portals that lead to individual Wonders/Homeworlds from Headquarters, allowing characters to be connected to others in their group and travel (with OOC permission). The blueprints or pre-built prototypes for these magical warp pads can be found in Headquarters or some can already be installed. Groups that existed during the Silver Millennium may have already installed landing points on individual Homeworld/Wonders, but new groups may need to install the warp pads themselves to activate them. These landing points will remain fixed and should not be moved after installation. Once every two weeks, members of the group can travel by themselves to Headquarters from the landing point on their Wonder/Homeworld. From there, they can access Headquarters by themselves and, with OOC player permission (and IC character permission), they can travel to Wonders/Homeworlds of their teammates. This two week cooldown is separate from standard Wonder/Homeworld travel and Group Teleportation magic. Characters can stay at Headquarters for as long as they like provided they have the supplies to last there.

Details about Headquarters may be worked out through PMs if you have any specific requests or questions!

      Brigade Banners

A Brigade that can come together and strengthen their bonds can earn a special item known as a Brigade Banner. The Banner allows the Brigade to access some extra abilities. Brigades will need to complete a special plot to unlock their Banner. Brigades can only unlock their Banner after they have visited their Headquarters for the first time.

The plot to unlock their Banner may be a continuation of their plot to establish the Brigade but it must be its own plot. Unlocking the Banner should include as many members of the Brigade as possible, but must include a minimum of four. Banners are typically unlocked in a time of great need or after a significant accomplishment; this may be in a battle, out of need, or as a reward for some other meaningful accomplishment. This plot should show that the Captain is effective, or that the Brigade can work together to get a job done. The plot will be unique to each Brigade so previously established plots and future goals will be considered during the approval process.

Brigade Banners are directly linked to the Brigade and will disappear and become unusable if the Brigade ever drops below four active Knight members. Banners will reappear if/when the Brigade has enough active members again. Regardless of the size of the Brigade, they can only ever have one Banner.

        Brigade Banners have several functions:

Offensive - Banners have a concentrated power of light within them While not primarily used for battle, the Banner can shoot out a ray of light that can sting an opponent roughly ten feet away, but it takes thirty seconds to charge and is generally useless in terms of combat as it causes minor agitation towards most enemies. However, when used against some youma, it can permanently dust it. Brigade Banners can usually only dust youma of average power; stronger youma may only be temporarily dusted, and Greater Youma cannot be dusted in this way. Players do not need permission to dust average disposable youma but they cannot permanently dust personal youma or PCs without approval.

Youma, Half-Youma Purification - Brigade Banners have the ability to purify special youma. This must be approved before anyone performs a successful purification, as not every youma can be healed. Special youma may include player controlled youma and half-youma. Attempting to purify a half-youma or full youma must also utilize an Order Fourth Stage Character. Brigades and Order Fourth Stage characters must work together, as neither can purify any youmafied character on their own. If a Brigade attempts to purify a youma or half-youma without a fourth stage, the purification will not work. More information can be found here.

Starseed Sustainability - Brigade Banners also have the ability to help sustain someone whose starseed has been taken for a brief time

When you are ready to submit for a Brigade Banner, your Brigade will need to send in the following form to The Space Cauldron :

          Quote:
Brigade Name: Please use the official Brigade name
Brigade Banner: Please specify if this is an Item for a Leader or for the whole Brigade. Please include a description of the Brigade Banner.
Plot: The Brigade Banner can only be unlocked after a Brigade has been established. This must occur after they have visited Headquarters for the first time. The plot may be a continuation of their plot to establish the Brigade but it must be its own plot. Banners are typically unlocked in a time of great need or after a significant accomplishment; this may be in a battle (such as to permanently dust a youma), out of need (such as to aid in purifying a youma/half youma alongside a fourth stage or to sustain a starseed), or as a reward for some other meaningful accomplishment. This plot should show that the Captain is effective, or that the Brigade can work together to get a job done. This will be unique to each Brigade so previously established plots and future goals will be considered during the approval process. While the entire group doesn't need to be present, at least four members of the group need to be involved in unlocking the Banner.

      Knight Brigade Strike

A Knight Brigade Strike is a large combo attack consisting of a combination of participating Brigade members' attacks. It requires at least four participating Brigade members to be present in order to be used. In strength, it mirrors the members activating it. One made up of all Squires will be stronger than one made up of all Pages. Be warned though! This attack is incredibly high-energy. Using it is like waving a flag for exactly where you are and when used, weakens everyone involved to near exhaustion. Use with caution. This is named after the Brigade itself: the attack will be [Brigade's name] Brigade Strike! Players will need to design a group attack based off of the members present to lend their power to this. This magic will change somewhat depending on which characters are participating; if a Knight Brigade strike is approved based on five members but only four are present for a battle, the magic will need to be adjusted to reflect only the four that are present. Players must get approval from the shop mule (and any player hosting an event it is to be used in) before using this ICly! Members of the Brigade may not be aware they have the ability to do a Strike until they are in a dire circumstance that requires them to activate more power. In this case, they will have an instinctive knowledge to gather and unleash this new magic together.

When you are ready to submit for a Brigade Strike, your Brigade will need to send in the following form to The Space Cauldron :

        Quote:
Brigade Name: Please use the official Brigade name
Participating Members (Please include the names, ranks, and journals of all participating members. Not all Brigade members need to be present to use a Brigade Strike but you must have at least four members, and each time the team composition changes, the effects and strength will change as well. This may need to be revised or edited for ever use depending on present characters and rank)
Magic: The Brigade Strike should incorporate magic from all participating Knights. This most likely means fusing their approved Knight magic, but it may incorporate summons or enhancements. All magic is approved on a case by case basis and maybe adjusted as the needs of the shop change. Because Pages do not have magic, they cannot contribute to the effects but they can contribute to the strength and radius.
Roleplays: (The Brigade must have at least four finished roleplays demonstrating the Brigade working towards their goal or teaming up in some way. These must be RPs with at least four Brigade members in attendance. All players are expected to participate in the Brigade to earn perks; four players cannot do the roleplays and have a fifth player gain the rewards without RPing. All participating Brigade members planning to use a Brigade Strike must be in at least two of the group RPs linked here.)

Brigade Registry

This log of Brigades is intended for OOC use only and is meant to make reference and contact easy for anyone interested in joining or plotting with established groups. You may not ICly play with any of the following information without permission from the group. This registry is only for Brigades that have been approved and are officially in play. If you have an approved Brigade that is not on this list, please fill out the following form so we can add you! When you have filled out the form, please PM it to The Space Cauldron! Similarly, if you need information on your Brigade to be updated (or to confirm that the information is still up to date), or if you would like it removed from this list for any reason, please contact the mule!

    Quote:
    Brigade Name:
Leader: (If there is no leader, please write N/A)
Current Members: (Who is a member of the Brigade? Don’t include rank but please include names and journal links)
What goals does this Brigade have? (What brought the group together? What are their goals, what do they hope to accomplish, and what areas of interest do they have?)
Brigade Abilities (Please include what Brigade Abilities you have available to plot with. These include the Brigade Banner (for bubbling starseeds and purifying Half-Youma/Youma) and the Brigade Strike.)

Knight Brigade Log

    Ad Astra
    Quote:
    Brigade Name: Ad Astra
Leader: There is currently no leader.
    Current Members:

What brought this Brigade together/what are their goals? They are young knights in a war where most others have much more experience. They want to support each other and bring stability to what could be a confusing and lonely existence, especially when many look at them as just children.
Are you available for plots? The brigade is just getting established but is available for plots! For joining we would like the character to be under 20, please! This could change in the future, but it is supposed to be for young knights who are helping each other learn. They are not currently looking for mentors or people to tell them what to do. They want a safe space away from adults who think they know better and want to force their own experiences and expectations on them.

Courts: The Gathering of Senshi

What is a Court?

A Court is a gathering of Senshi that have come together and formed a special bond. They generally have a mission, a purpose, or a goal that binds them together. It could be something as simple as being from the same Planet, or it could be something more specific, like a shared ideal. A Court is made up of at least four Senshi; only Senshi can join a Court. Requires at least four Senshi to perform but will allow the Court to travel to any non-meta location the group can collectively imagine. Most commonly this will be to individual Wonders or to their Headquarters. Traveling in this way allows the group to move together without using any of their Deep Space Allowances. This can be done once every two weeks. To use Court Teleportation, the group simply needs to hold hands and focus. You cannot teleport anywhere without permission from the player.

      Court Headquarters

Court Headquarters function as a study/gathering area that have magically appeared to meet the needs of the group. Headquarters may either be a new location created for them by some cosmic force or it may have belonged to the group in the past; Headquarters established during the Silver Millennium areas may be more stylized or decorated based on the care from the previous group. Courts established in present day may find that the area is themed on them or has special features based on their needs. The more a Court invests into themselves, the more the Headquarters will reflect their efforts, however it may still be required to furnish or renovate the Headquarters.

It is impossible to find information about who built these rooms or who has maintained them; even Courts that were established during the Silver Millennium cannot recall how they came to be, only that they were created for them by a trusted source. The Headquarters will always feel safe, and while here, members will find that they are naturally more in tune with each other. They may have an innate sensation for how to access Court powers; this might manifest as instinct, or it may manifest as brief flashbacks if the group established during their past life incarnations and already had access to the abilities at one point in time.

      Court Wands

A Court that can come together and strengthen their bonds can earn a special item known as a Court Wand. The Wand allows the Court to access some extra abilities. Courts will need to complete a special plot to unlock their Wand. Courts can only unlock their Wand after they have visited their Headquarters for the first time.

The plot to unlock their Wand may be a continuation of their plot to establish the Court but it must be its own plot. Unlocking the Wand should include as many members of the Court as possible, but must include a minimum of four. Wands are typically unlocked in a time of great need or after a significant accomplishment; this may be in a battle, out of need, or as a reward for some other meaningful accomplishment. This plot should show that the Captain is effective, or that the Court can work together to get a job done. The plot will be unique to each Court so previously established plots and future goals will be considered during the approval process.

Court Wands are directly linked to the Court and will disappear and become unusable if the Court ever drops below four active Senshi members. Wands will reappear if/when the Court has enough active members again. Regardless of the size of the Court, they can only ever have one Wand.

        Court Wands have several functions:

Offensive - Wands have a concentrated power of light within them While not primarily used for battle, the Wand can shoot out a ray of light that can sting an opponent roughly ten feet away, but it takes thirty seconds to charge and is generally useless in terms of combat as it causes minor agitation towards most enemies. However, when used against some youma, it can permanently dust it. Court Wands can usually only dust youma of average power; stronger youma may only be temporarily dusted, and Greater Youma cannot be dusted in this way. Players do not need permission to dust average disposable youma but they cannot permanently dust personal youma or PCs without approval.

Youma, Half-Youma Purification - Court Wands have the ability to purify special youma. This must be approved before anyone performs a successful purification, as not every youma can be healed. Special youma may include player controlled youma and half-youma. Attempting to purify a half-youma or full youma must also utilize an Order Fourth Stage Character. Courts and Order Fourth Stage characters must work together, as neither can purify any youmafied character on their own. If a Court attempts to purify a youma or half-youma without a fourth stage, the purification will not work. More information can be found here.

Starseed Sustainability - Court Wands also have the ability to help sustain someone whose starseed has been taken for a brief time

When you are ready to submit for a Court Wand, your Court will need to send in the following form to The Space Cauldron :

          Quote:
Court Name: Please use the official Court name
Court Wand: Please specify if this is an Item for a Leader or for the whole Court. Please include a description of the Court Wand.
Plot: The Court Wand can only be unlocked after a Court has been established. This must occur after they have visited Headquarters for the first time. The plot may be a continuation of their plot to establish the Court but it must be its own plot. Wands/Wands are typically unlocked in a time of great need or after a significant accomplishment; this may be in a battle (such as to permanently dust a youma), out of need (such as to aid in purifying a youma/half youma alongside a fourth stage or to sustain a starseed), or as a reward for some other meaningful accomplishment. This plot should show that the Captain is effective, or that the Court can work together to get a job done. This will be unique to each Court so previously established plots and future goals will be considered during the approval process. While the entire group doesn't need to be present, at least four members of the group need to be involved in unlocking the Wand.

      Senshi Court Strike

A Senshi Court Strike is a large combo attack consisting of a combination of participating Court members' attacks. It requires at least four participating Court members to be present in order to be used. In strength, it mirrors the members activating it. One made up of all Super Senshi will be stronger than one made up of all Basic Senshi. Be warned though! This attack is incredibly high-energy. Using it is like waving a flag for exactly where you are and when used, weakens everyone involved to near exhaustion. Use with caution. This is named after the Court itself: the attack will be [Court's name] Court Strike! Players will need to design a group attack based off of the members present to lend their power to this. This magic will change somewhat depending on which characters are participating; if a Senshi Court strike is approved based on five members but only four are present for a battle, the magic will need to be adjusted to reflect only the four that are present. Players must get approval from the shop mule (and any player hosting an event it is to be used in) before using this ICly! Members of the Court may not be aware they have the ability to do a Strike until they are in a dire circumstance that requires them to activate more power. In this case, they will have an instinctive knowledge to gather and unleash this new magic together.

When you are ready to submit for a Court Strike, your Court will need to send in the following form to The Space Cauldron :

        Quote:
Court Name: Please use the official Court name
Participating Members (Please include the names, ranks, and journals of all participating members. Not all Court members need to be present to use a Court Strike but you must have at least four members, and each time the team composition changes, the effects and strength will change as well. This may need to be revised or edited for ever use depending on present characters and rank)
Magic: The Court Strike should incorporate magic from all participating Senshi. This most likely means fusing their approved Senshi magic, but it may incorporate summons or enhancements. All magic is approved on a case by case basis and maybe adjusted as the needs of the shop change.
Roleplays: (The Court must have at least four finished roleplays demonstrating the Court working towards their goal or teaming up in some way. These must be RPs with at least four Court members in attendance. All players are expected to participate in the Court to earn perks; four players cannot do the roleplays and have a fifth player gain the rewards without RPing. All participating Court members planning to use a Court Strike must be in at least two of the group RPs linked here.)

      Bonded Mauvian:

Similar to the bond a Mauvian can have with a specific Senshi, Mauvians can also bond with a Court. Mauvians can only bond to one Court at a time. Once a Guardian Cat joins the Court (or if it is created and planned to immediately join the Court), it may have a symbol representing the Court on its forehead rather than the typical Mauvian star. This is a physical change that will happen once the Mauvian is accepted into the Court if the Mauvian player chooses to make that change. They may keep their star if the player prefers, or have the Court symbol appear over their star. Typically there can only be one Mauvian per four Senshi within a Court. Bonded Mauvians can travel with the Court during Teleportation to any destination, but they do not count towards one of the four characters required to use it. Bonded Mauvians can also build a trinket that will allow them to teleport to their Court's Headquarters once per week; they cannot take a guest. Bonded Mauvians cannot contribute to the Court Strike, or use the Court Wand. Though they have an artificial Senshi form, it does not harmonize with the natural Senshi energy; in many ways they are simply honorary members of the Court, as they do not gain Court perks.

      Current Members:

What brought this Court or Brigade together/what are their goals? The goal of the group is to save who they can and stop who they can't save. They have a strong desire to save youma after coming together and purifying one who went on to join their Court. They strive to save members of Chaos and will work to win them over and bring them to the side of Order.
Are you available for plots? Yes! Plot thread is being set up, however we are available for all manner of plots. The Court can hold its own in battle but prefers discussion and trying to win with kindness. They are particularly driven to save members of the Negaverse and multiple members are personally invested in saving youma. After learning that youma were people and discovering that some of them could be returned to their original form they are very passionate about finding youma they can help. They have earned their Court Wand, have located their Headquarters, and have unlocked their Court Strike. The Court is open for new members and Orangeish Sherbert can be reached for plot information! We are open to any and all plots, so if you have something in mind or need help purifying any half-youma or youma character, please let us know!

(( if you wish to be added or removed from the list, please let Blue or staff know to change the listing! ))

What brought this Court or Brigade together/what are their goals?
The court is a loose confederation of Senshi in the Koronis family of asteroids. In the past, the planets were allied together, so in the present, Ida has been working with those she's found to establish connections. The main idea is support for one another, and exploration of their planets and pasts.

Are you available for plots? Yes! (currently working on earning our wand)

      Plot & Info thread: https://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=23658707

The court is always open to new members of the Koronis asteroid family, but membership is limited to those. Membership doesn't have to be exclusive or limiting, but anyone with a Koronis senshi is automatically welcomed into the Court for as much or little participation with other members as they like.

    The Council of Doves
      Quote:
Court Name: The Council of Doves (The Council for short)
Leader: Sailor Phact, Senshi of Doves
      Current Members:
      Sailor Sabine, Senshi of Tactics
      Sailor Kastra, Senshi of Meditation
      Sailor Imperatrix, Senshi of Tatoos
What brought this Court or Brigade together/what are their goals?:
The goal is simply to bring about an end to the war. Alone they are nothing. Together, they are strong.
The council seeks to act as arbiters, providing a means for those of the White Moon to deal with internal squabbles and debates, while searching for a means to end the larger fighting between the White Moon and the Negaverse. The council is not blind to the fact that in order to find a peace or even a truce will require sacrifices from all sides. All viewpoints have equal weight in the council but once a decision is reached, they will act accordingly to the group decision.
      Are you available for plots?
We are available for all plot discussions! Purifications are only the top of the list of possibilities. Please contact Sirene Naiads with anything you may want a Court to be part of.

    The Starcatchers
      Quote:
      Court Name: The Starcatchers
      Leader: Sailor Denebola
      Current Members:
      Sailor Denebola (played by Nuxaz)
Sailor Altais (played by Pixie Nyxie)
Sailor Themisto (played by Lucifer Force)
      Sailor Elara (played by Ghouliboo)
Itsuki the Guardian Cat (played by Lucifer Force)
What brought this Court together/what are their goals? After collecting a few “lost” senshi under her maternal dragonfly wing, Denebola has decided that she and her “lost boys” can use their knowledge and powers to help others in their times of need. Their focus is on purification and helping those that are “lost” to find their way towards enlightenment and understanding.
The Starcatchers Court prefers peaceful interactions over violent ones but the members will not roll over against opposition if left with no choice.

Protection is another key value they strive to uphold. Their court is a figurative family with every teammate a beloved member of their ragtag group. Everyone brings skills, powers and personal experiences to the table and every member is treated as anyone would treat an actual cherished relative.
The starcatchers strive to provide alternative paths for people to take and seek to reassure that there is always more than one choice. Their goals are to provide safe houses for the newly purified and helping pave the road to a new life if someone is seeking it. An important message they seek to deliver is that if you’re not strong enough for something on your own, that’s okay, because one of them will be and it’s okay to shoulder burdens when you’re struggling to stand on their own.

While they seek to avoid extreme situations, the Starcatchers put each other and their safety at the forefront and will do what they have to in order to keep the court safe.

      Are you available for plots?
The Starcatchers Court is available to speak to any and all interested parties searching for a home and/or information about purification or the after effects of one.

They are tentatively accepting new members that share their same values and ideals. Court members are also interested in finding “lost boys” to guide (as in, new and potentially confused senshi and guiding them until they're able to stand on their own or alongside a team of their choosing).

Please contact any of the court members for more information on how to get involved with or join the Starcatchers Court!

      * - Boys in this aspect is related to the initial founding members of Altais and Themisto (Along with ally Tortuga) but the court is not limited to ‘boys’ and readily accepts and welcomes all of the ‘lost’ moniker as well as those who know the path they wish to take.

FAQ

  • Can I create a Brigade/Court using four of my own characters?

No, sorry! While you may have multiple characters you play in a Brigade/Court, at least two different players must come together to actually found the group. These two players need to send in a formal declaration; while you may have multiple characters involved in a Brigade/Court, at least two different people need to be involved to create and unlock all of the Brigade/Court features (such as Banners/Court Wands and the Brigade/Court Strike)! Similarly, the Brigade/Court must have at least two different players present to utilize features that have been unlocked. For example, you will need at least two different players, playing a minimum of four Brigade/Court characters, to be present in order to summon the Banner/Wand and assist in a youma purification.

  • Is there a limit to how many characters can be in a team? Or a Brigade or Court?

There is no size limit to the number of characters that can be in a team, Brigade, or Court! Brigades and Courts must have a minimum of four characters present and actively involved but there is no cap on how many Knights or Senshi can join.

  • How many Brigades/Courts can a character be in? Is it possible to leave a Brigade/Court?

A character can be involved in as many Brigades or Teams as possible. There is no limit to how many teams a character can join, though each Team may have different requirements. Characters joining multiples Brigades/Coruts will need to reach certain RP requirements before they can join and earn Brigade perks. These can be found in forms above under the section ‘Joining an Existing [Brigades/Courts]’. If a Brigade/Court is not working for you (ICly or OOCly), you may retract your membership. However, if the Brigade/Court drops to fewer than four characters (or two players) then they will lose all Brigade/Court benefits until they meet the minimum threshold for participants.

  • What happens to the leader of a Brigade/Court that goes inactive or drops below four members? What if the leader of a Brigade/Court goes inactive?

If a Brigade/Court goes inactive or drops below four members, the leader is encouraged to try and recruit more members instead of trying to create a new Brigade/Court. If a player is absolutely unable to pick the Brigade/Court back up again, please PM The Space Cauldron and we can work with you! If a Brigade/Court leader goes inactive, there is little the shop can do because the Brigade/Court is considered player plots. Staff cannot step in to remove a player’s leadership, nor would we be comfortable approving players to stage an OOC/nonconsensual coup. In the worst situation, players may need to make a secondary Brigade/Court but staff would work with them as best as possible to work this out.

  • What sort of plot should be done for a Brigade/Court to unlock its Banner/Wand? Can a Brigade/Court use their Banner's/Wand’s abilities as soon as they unlock it?

Any plot that shows the Brigade/Court working together after their Brigade/Court is founded can be used to unlock its Banner/Wand. This might be as simple as doing plots to cement their bond or working together to complete a task (such as restoring Headquarters, learning about their Brigade's/Court’s history, defeating an enemy, etc.) You simply have to show that the Brigade/Court is still working together to earn their Banner/Wand. They can use their Banner's/Wand’s abilities as soon as they unlock it! If you are attempting to purify a Half-Youma or youma, this will need Staff permission.

  • Can large Brigades/Courts have multiple Banners/Wands? Can Banners/Wands appear on art?

No matter how large a Brigade/Court is, they will only ever have one Banner/Wand. Banners/Wands cannot appear on official art; their designs vary greatly and could be confusing and misleading on powered art. ICly, these items can only be summoned when at least four characters are present so it wouldn’t be fair to have it appear on the art of an individual character. Players can get fanart of their character using the Banner/Wand, though!

  • If a Brigade or Court have co-captains, would it be possible for them to be able to split the Captaincy Banner/Wand? Could they both need to be present in order to summon the Banner/Wand, with each co-captain having access to one half of the Banner/Wand and needing the other to complete it?

Traditionally, the Brigade/Court items should be a single item that could be summoned by either co-captain or the group as a whole in a dire need. However, splitting the item could be possible but you would need to submit a plot that gives the reason for the item breaking in two and why this would be necessary for the Brigade/Court.

If you are going to submit a plot, we would also ask you to consider a few potential issues: If the item was broken into two and required both co-captains to summon it, what would happen if one of the co-captains should disappear? Would the remaining co-captain be able to summon both pieces or would the mantle need to be passed to someone else before the item could be formed?

Because this would be a plotted situation it might mean that what applies to one Brigade/Court might not apply to another; in an ordinary situation the Captain (or any member of a Brigade/Court) could summon the item in one piece, but if you have a plot driven reason to have your Brigade/Court need the item in two-pieces/need both co-captains we are willing to work with a group to work out their specific desires or needs!

  • Can the same RPs be used to unlock multiple Brigade/Court features? For example, could the same RPs be used to unlock a Banner/Wand and a Brigade/Court Strike? Can the same plots be used?

Not really; players should expect to use unique roleplays to meet unlock requirements and should not use the same RPs to unlock multiple features. It may be possible to use the same plot to unlock multiple features, but this will be handled on a case by case basis. For example, if a Brigade/Court wants to unlock and use its Banner/Wand and Brigade/Court strike in the same plot, they will need to put in extra effort to unlock both at once. The plot will need to be more advanced and elaborate to accommodate simultaneous unlocking and be comparable to the effort of doing the two unique plots that would be required for individual unlocking.. Players will still need to do enough unique RP to meet requirements for both unlocks and cannot use overlapping RPs. If players are interested in this, they can PM The Space Cauldron!

  • How will Brigades/Courts know what their Banners/Wands can do? How will they know to unlock other abilities or know how to use them?

This is dependent on the Brigade/Court but there are a few different methods. Brigades/Courts that existed in the past life may have already learned how to do these things, so present day members can have past life memories to explain those abilities. These memories can be uncovered at their Headquarters, with memory-unlocked IC RP Items, or sometimes on their Wonders/Homeworlds if they used those abilities there. Brigades/Courts that didn’t exist in the past may have an instinctive understanding of what abilities they have unlocked and how to use them just by spending time at their Headquarters. They may also learn through trial and error. Players should not use this to learn about abilities they have yet to unlock, or use it to learn how to unlock them in present day unless they have submitted a plot and have approval from The Space Cauldron.

  • What happens if a Brigade/Court tries to purify a Half-Youma/Youma without a fourth stage?

Nothing; the Banner/Wand will react as it is trying to purify--and perhaps the skin on the youma might flicker to look more human--but without a fourth stage involved the Banner/Wand will eventually run out of power and need to recharge.

  • How long does it take for the Banner/Wand to recharge after a Half-Youma/Youma purification attempt (either successful or ending in failure?)

Half-Youma/Youma purification can only be done once per month; it is incredibly draining for Brigade/Court members, the Banner/Wand, and the Royal involved, so it is not a solution to mainstream purification. The cooldown is only between successful attempts; if a purification ends in failure, the Brigade/Court will be able to achieve full power with the Banner/Wand again within the next few days.

  • Does assisting in a Half-Youma/Youma purification prevent an Order Royal from doing any purifications for a month?

No; Royal characters can purify without any repercussions approximately once every two weeks (any more can result in physical fatigue and other possible side effects and will need approval from The Space Cauldron), but the one-month cooldown is only between Half-Youma/Youma characters. They should still aim to have at least two weeks between all purifications; though Half-Youma/Youma purification has a cooldown of one month, this means that they shouldn’t try to purify any human characters until two weeks have passed to avoid overexertion.

  • How many youma can a Banner/Wand permanently destroy?

The Banner/Wand can only destroy one youma of average strength per week. They may destroy up to two below average/weaker youma per week. Personal youma and PC Youma are usually stronger so these typically require more energy to destroy ICly (and also require OOC player permission). It may take a week and a half to regain full energy after destroying one of these above average strength youma. Banners/Wands cannot destroy a Greater Youma.

  • How long can the Banner/Wand keep a starseed in stasis?

A starseed outside of the host can be preserved for 72 hours; a bubble will form from the Banner/Wand. Only one starseed can be bubbled at a time, and there must be at least 24 hours before the Banner/Wand is recharged enough to bubble another starseed. The bubble will remain around the starseed even after the Brigade/Court powers down. A starseed that is bubbled will not return to the Cauldron and the link between the starseed and its host will not decay. When someone loses their starseed, they will fall into a coma. Typically someone can only survive for up to two weeks without their starseed, but if their starseed is bubbled then the magical protection will buy them a little extra time. The starseed can be bubbled more than once, however the more times a starseed is bubbled, the less effective the bubble will be–even if bubbled by different Brigades/Courts. A starseed cannot be bubbled indefinitely and long-term maintenance would become incredibly difficult. Bubbling a starseed more than once requires plot approval from The Space Cauldron so if you have an idea for a plot, please PM all the details in!

  • Theoretically, could a Banner/Wand be used to purify a youma, destroy a youma, and bubble a starseed in the same week?

Yes; the cooldown times exist for each individual action, not all three. If there is a situation that would require a Brigade/Court to do all three of these in a one week time period, it is possible, but would still need permission from the shop mule, The Space Cauldron.

  • Do you need mule permission to permanently destroy a youma or put a starseed into stasis?

Typically no; only purifying a youma or half-youma requires mule permission (as this is almost always related to a player owned character side swapping.) If you are permanently destroying an NPC youma of average or lesser strength then you do not need permission, but you need player permission before destroying any of their personally designed youma (such as recurring youma they play, or youma their characters might be bonded to). If destroying a bonded youma or an above-average youma, players will need to PM details to The Space Cauldron. Preserving a starseed for up to 72 hours does not need permission, but attempting to bubble a starseed for longer than that, or attempting to preserve it further after the first bubble deteriorates, will need plot approval.

  • What do you need to submit to purify a PC Half-Youma/Youma?

There is a post detailing the information available in the side swap thread! This will be handled mostly like any other side-swap; the form will need to be filled out and a plot submitted to the shop mule, The Space Cauldron. Players who are intending to purify their character will need to indicate which Brigade/Court they plan to utilize, and which characters/players will be involved.

  • Can Brigade/Court Teleportation be used to travel to Wonders/Homeworlds of characters not in the group? Can it be used to travel to meta locations?

Possibly, however this will need OOC and IC permission. OOCly a Brigade/Court should not be visiting any world they do not have express approval, and ICly a world or Wonder can reject them if they don’t have permission to be there. If a Brigade/Court travels to a Wonder/Homeworld, the protector may feel the group’s presence; this might feel like a nagging or pulling sensation that they could feel even if they aren’t there, and even if they aren’t powered up. Brigades/Courts cannot travel to any location they cannot clearly imagine, so at least four members must have visited the location previously unless they are traveling to the Wonder/Homeworld of one of the group’s members, or Headquarters.

Meta locations will be more difficult to access ICly because these locations often have extra safeguards. OOCly, these locations may be locked for meta purposes and opening them up freeling may create plot holes or accidental faction overpowering. We will work with players if they have a plot that requires use of a meta location outside of standard parameters! Brigades/Courts cannot travel to Negaspace or Mirrorspace through teleportation.

  • If there is a large Brigade or Court, what happens if four members want to travel at one point but four different members want to travel at a later point? Because Teleportation is on a biweekly cooldown, would the second group be unable to Teleport?

While we recommend that large Brigades or Courts try to coordinate so this issue doesn’t happen, if there are smaller groups within the Brigade or Court that want to travel at different times, this is still possible! No Knight or Senshi within the Brigade or Court should be traveling with Teleportation more than once every two weeks. As long as individual members of the Brigades or Courts are adhering to the Teleportation rule, dual groups using Teleportation should be fine provided the groups have a minimum of four participating members at the time of Teleportation.

  • If there is a large Brigade or Court, can they use multiple Knight Brigade Strikes or Senshi Planetary Strikes as long as they have at least four people during the casting?

Possibly; this depends on many factors, such as the event, the number of members in the Brigade/Court, and their experience level. If a Brigade/Court is close enough to use a Strike together, they should come together if possible. Their magic will be stronger together but if multiple groups within a Brigade/Court use a strike, each subsequent strike will be significantly weaker than the first.

  • Can Mauvians join a Brigade?

Mauvians cannot join a Brigade; their powers come from a different source and they do not have access to the same abilities as combined Knights would. Mauvians can function with a bonded Court and gain some side perks (such as being able to travel with them to Headquarters) because of their relationship with Senshi but Mauvians are not true members of Courts either.

  • How many Mauvians can a Court have?

This depends on the size of the Court but there is no concrete number. There should be at least four senshi per official Mauvian involved with the Court. Mauvians are an addition to the Court and not necessary for them to function so they should never outnumber the senshi of a Court.

  • Can Mauvians have their own Mauvian Senshi Court?

No; The Mauvian’s Senshi stage is a manufactured stage. The cats do not naturally have this power and are only able to activate it by creating a device that temporarily gives them additional power. Mauvians derive their magic from a very different power source than Senshi, so do not have the powers to form a Court of their own. A group of Mauvian Senshi may form as a Team but would not have any special Court benefits.

  • Can Phenomenal Cosmic Powers who have Senshi forms join Courts?

Phenomenal Cosmic Powers with an artificial Senshi form cannot join a Court. However, these characters can be considered honorary Senshi that may be able to travel with the Court during Teleportation. They cannot use the Court Wand, contribute to the Court Strike, or count as one of the four required members needed to access Court perks. Players with a Phenomenal Cosmic Power can PM The Space Cauldron to discuss this! Because they are a very rare type of character we will do our best to work with players to make sure they can still participate in some way!

  • Will there ever be a Chaos equivalent to Brigades or Courts?

Ideally, yes! At some point in time we hope to have Chaos equivalents for Brigades and Courts, but we are still working out the details for their Chaos counterparts.

  • Are the Dark Mirror Court Senshi considered a Court based on the above information?

No; they are simply a faction named by Ares while she was trying to recreate her own Court. The Dark Mirror Court does not have any special faction abilities associated with Court abilities.
