Character description:
No, Harvard did not go to Harvard. But he does have a doctorate. And speaks approximately 15 languages at varying levels of fluency. So yeah, maybe he thinks he's a made of a slightly higher caliber than other people. It likely doesn't help that Harvard is certainly a glass half-empty kind of guy. If it's awful, if it can be awful, Harvard is there and muttering under his breath about it. That being said, he's not a crotchety professor all of the time. Under pressure, he keeps his head and finds it easy to quickly assess his choices and think logically. All those years upon years of college managed to beat a love of logic and quick assessment into his head and he puts it to good use.

There are things in life even this pessimistic man likes, of course. He finds himself irritatingly protective of his students, while simultaneously intent on pushing them out of their comfort zone. While they were in his class, they might be little s**t shits, but they were his little shits. Harvard also appreciates books, and the smell of a freshly printed newspaper. And his cat, Sapir (named after Edward Sapir, of course).

Traits: level-headed, protective, snob, pessimistic

Description: Italian. Dark hair, dark eyes, medium olive skin. 5'9". Average build (he's trying not to let a middle-aged belly happen...). Wear a lot of buttons downs with sleeves rolled up, ink stains on his fingers a lot. Hair is kind of curly, but he keeps it short, has short but filled out beard. x

It was a rare moment of quiet when the request came. With raised eyebrows, Harvard sat down and pulled out one of his (many, so so many) pens. His pockets nearly overflowed with them. Well, not quite, but he would not run out for however long they were alive. Provided he was not suddenly granted immortality. He discarded the first pen. It had a chewed cap, some other person's teeth impressions marred it. It was not a suitable pen for him. He wanted his pens to belong to him, even if he did not chew their caps. It was a rule of ownership - only Harvard was allowed to mark those that were his.

It was the same in relationships, he thought. He pulled reactions from them, dictated their movements, the exact curvature of spines. It was beautiful, to be in control like that. Some he'd found boring, and while he never kicked someone out mid-thrust, he had made them leave directly after. There was nothing worse than being disappointed. Ah, but he was supposed to write a report. It was too bad the report could not solely contain the pros and cons of his various games.

Harvard wrote in french, then switched to swahili. His report contained 21 sentences in 8 languages. Because he could. The actual content of his report was nothing special - nothing much had happened to him. He was not attacked, nor were his encounters with the undying extraordinary. The saddest thing about the report was the penmanship. Writing with his off hand was truly terrible.
