Olivia stumbled back enough to finally gain just a little bit of herself, that little spark that really liked to hit things. She launched herself forward and punched, as all she could really ever do and struck as much of the black form as she could manage. Some of those little hands got in the way, a little bit of the weird green bubbles.
It wasn't a lot, but it was at least something. Enough to satisfy her given how much she always told Andrew that she was okay with doing things like this. It was still a little disappointing that she only managed to get one hit in, but at the same time she felt a little better being further away from the large creature.

She could not believe she was seeing it again. The giant vine creature was back with a vengeance. The good thing was that she didn't have to face it alone. Kimberly was glad that everyone seemed to be helping. Snagging the unconscious guys frying pan (why did he have this?). She joined the fight.

It wasn't hard to miss the giant Vine Horse of Doom, or the large gathering of Hunters, Halloween folk or Humans surrounding it. Everyone was yelling, smacking, stabbing or hurling things at the beast, which was returning back fire with its multitude of vines.
Running one finger across the rim of her brand new frying pan, Spooky grinned. She might be late to the party, but it certainly wasn't over yet.
Darting in between monsters, she aimed, swung and cackled as the frying pan made a large THUNK against one of the squirming vines.
Now THIS was her kind of fun!

Jaco felt sick, and this wasn't a hunger kind of sick. He saw the masses of people gathering around the giant creature, and he felt sick. That didn't stop him from making a move and joining, especially when he was rallied by others who were succeeding. The creature seemed worn, but it wasn't down yet. As long as he could fight, he might as well fight.
And hey, maybe the creature would drop some food like the other mobs!
With that thought in mind, the boy rushed the monster and went for a hunt.

There was just something about the sound of the pink-rimmed frying pan making contact with the beast that amused her. The echoing sound as metal hit plant, the way the vine would reel back after being hit - who knew the reason why she enjoyed it, she simply did.
She ducked, narrowly missing an attack also aimed for the creature. While she was near the ground, however, she took advantage of the opportunity and sent the pan flying out towards one of the lower vines.

Well, never let it be said that she did something half-heartedly. Once again, Davyne went in for the attack, attempting to do as much damage to the creature as she could.
It didn't go particularly well, she had to admit. Once again it did more damage to her than she did to it; something that was quite beginning to annoy her, truth be told.

Maybe she was laughing too hard. Maybe the vine struck her just a little too roughly. Maybe she was just tired from swinging her frying pan too much. Whatever it was, Spooky suddenly felt like crap.
A final swing barely grazed the beast, the imp then stumbling her way out of the fray. Her stomach felt the need to hurl, the nausea was so overwhelming. Her head felt fuzzy, almost light enough to where she felt like passing out.
One step...two step...one boot tripped and clumsily followed the other as she pulled away, adding distance between herself and the mighty vine beast. That was enough fun for her...she'd let someone else have a turn!

Being close to the horse creature was taking its toll on her, though; the longer she stayed close by, the more nauseous and disconnected from herself she felt. It was, Davyne contemplated, probably not too smart to stay here for much longer. The effects of it were not good to her, and she needed to get back to her human and make sure she was still alright.
But first, she would make one last attempt at regaining her lost honour in this battle; her first two attacks had been puny by all accords, useful only in that she'd actually managed to hit the thing.
This last one, she swore to do better. Which was why she hung back for a bit, looking for a tactical opening - and once spotting it, lunged forward with her fishing rod, attempting to damage the creature.
One of the vines retaliated, cut at her cheek, but this time she was confident that she had been the one with the better attack. It paid off to play it smart, but now...
Now the sensations of being so close to the horse creature were close to overwhelming her.
A tactical retreat was in order, then. She looked around at the other creeple, mentally wishing them good luck in their endeavour before getting out of there, heading back towards where she'd stashed her human.

Something loomed up out of the fog. Jordan watched as the vine horse turned its eye to him -- was that an eye? But it saw him. It saw him. And it remembered. The mark on his arm burned cold, and an insidious green sensation washed over him, dizzying and maddening, and he saw the small creatures swarming out of the fog to attack It, and knew that he needed to drive them off. His weapon appeared in his hand, sluggishly, and far away in his head Ferros roared, but at him, not at the prey.
He swung, but Ferros didn't want to. The weapon's resistance threw him off, and the hammer's spikes scraped across the back and shoulder of a white-coated human -- Jordan staggered and shook his head, trying to clear it. There was a buzzing in his mind, sick and vertiginous, and a muddy thick roil of conflicting impulses. That was prey. That was not prey. He had to attack and drive it clear. Ferros didn't want to. His head pounded in time with the pulsing of the mark under his sleeve.

Rep was used to long and hopeless battles and fell into step without complaint, simply classing this as another of them, there was no way to tell if they were really making any impact on the towering mass of writhing vines and nightmare, but frankly it didn't matter, nothing much mattered in battle other than the simple order to attack. He stepped forward again and the vines reached out like a desperate embrace to rake at his skin, doing very little against Tracey's shields but still setting him on edge lest they fill his brain with the awful, awful ******** flashes of knowledge he'd had to deal with when the creature had pursued him along the highway.
Mercifully they didn't come but with his initial strike had come such an influx of ambient fear that Tracey now informed him they were charged. And not only a little bit charged but a lot, a whole ******** lot. It crackled through the axe and along his arm as the runes positively dripped with spillover energy.
"Jesus." he said out loud, stepping back a few inches from the encroaching vines, finding his breath seized by the rush of it all.
Tracey said with a tone in his voice which strongly hinted that he was smiling.
Rep closed the distance in two deft movements and then leapt, and it was like he could fly, rising up and up and up in stark defiance of gravity, trailing he huge axe over his shoulder like it was a wing itself, trailing bleedover energy behind him. It was always his favourite moment, that instant when the rest of the world ceased to matter and all that was relevant was that he was nothing but a conduit of power, more than human, transcendent and beyond anything touching him or reaching him in any way at all. It was brief, but it was infinitely worth it.
Twisting in mid air, he brought the axe around and then as always the moment was over and his stomach twisted with the thrill of gravity kicking back in. He plummeted with every bit of weight he and Tracey together possessed and crashed into the creature with a thunk of steel and plant matter and even though it didn't sink as deep as he hoped it was good.
Thrown off, he smirked as he landed on his feet, ready to go again if he had to.
<> he told Tracey.

Harmony had found the umbrella among the human's things and while it seemed pointy, she remained skeptical. But, when the strange creature had approached, smelling of fear and something green and wild, Harmony had run (in so much as she was inclined to run - that is, a slow float) to it, wondering what color blood lurked inside the creature.
She propelled herself upwards, small wings beating quickly, and dove at it, umbrella held out like a spear. And it... stuck. She hung off the side of the thing, marginally perplexed, definitely feeling ill, before it flung her away with a shuddering shake.

After talking to Shun she made a choice, a bold and stupid choice, while he was off seeking information she was off returning to the Highway. Moving towards the tower eyes cast down trying to avoid the pain when chaos ripped the world apart.
They remembered.
The monster towered above her pulling and grabbing at her mind hissing, clawing, and screaming for her fear like a hungry monster.
She wasn't sure if she was pulled in or never noticed the other people around her they where all withering and squirming in its wake pain ripped at her body. The hunger the anger, the screaming mass of insanity. The darkness rushed in her eyes flickering to tiny beads of purple as she staggered back.
"N-no.... not.... joining.... you...." she whispered. A burst of purple fire rolled off her bone arms as her eyes snapped back into focus, the twin orbs of fire boiling out over outside her sockets as FEAR coursed through her twisting and burning down her bone limbs. Burst of her fear shoved forward reaching to punch through the darkness.
Yet the darkness simply twisted away, arms spreading and twisting around so that the blow simply missed in an opening between it all. The fear was spent, she had nothing left. She stumbled backwards retreating from the darkness.

Harrison had heeded Rep's advice so far, which was to put as much distance between him and the giant mass of vines and pain flowers as possible.
But with all of them here, maybe...
Deus had been growing back again, but it was nothing like the numbers the organization had before 1999. And s**t kept picking away at them. The Horsemen were targeting families, where they could get a hold of them. O kept showing up at outposts and during rounds (or even anyone caught alone on the island). And the Legacies.
It felt good, fighting alongside Halloween. As far as Harrison was concerned, they were natural partners. Hell, his own partner was one of his favorite people.
Still, going too near the thing had consequences. People were bleeding from the nose. Hunter weapons all lit up with charges. Even now, Harrison was getting a hell of a headache. And the images- B0nez started humming again. Harrison focused on that.
Those that fell were gradually covered in vines, and dragged backwards. He started on the closest vine pod, B0nez's blade (normally pink) electrifying with a buzzing blue. These ******** had trashed to the Casino. They came to the wrong neighborhood, and without checking about who was getting dragged (or even if they were a civilian, a hunter, or a student), he set into the vines with a satisfied fury.
Sucre felt the pulling first. The distant tugging at her very bones. It didn't hurt, not physically, but it was a dull ache of self. Panic filled her. As she listened, she could hear the sounds of battle. She had to try an help.
The horse creature, the one that consumed the very being of Halloween creeple, loomed over her. She could began to see the war and the many many creatures involved in it. Sucre made up her mind to help and made sure her human was tucked away safely back into the sleek car. She grabbed the unimpressive knife her human had on her. It was better than nothing.
Making her way toward it was a struggle of dread. The closer she got the more it tugged at her. The others, so many others, fighting rallied her confidence. She could help. Sucre picked up speed and lashed out with her human's knife at one of the clawed vines.

After her human passed out once more, Camilla carefully puts her back into the car before grabbing the keys and locking the doors. She hoped the poor ghoul would be safe in there... For a moment, Camilla simply frowns at the car. She was reluctant to leave her human all alone... But, the car was warmer then the air and it was locked now... She should be safe... Finally, the Dormouse ghoul nods to herself before wandering away. With her, was the ghoul's large red messenger bag. She knew it was rude to go through another person's stuff, but she figured if she found something useful, it would be good to give it to the ghoul. She'd have to try not to use anything though, it wasn't her stuff after all.
Other creeple were wandering around as well after leaving their humans in a safe place. She also saw what looked like Reapers; however, she somehow got a distinct feeling they weren't Reapers... But humans... So those were the 'Knights' of today? Curious... Camilla was learning quite a lot about humans on this adventure!
After wandering around for a while, something starts to feet different about the fog... And it wasn't just the fog either... Suddenly, the ground begins to shake... Freezing, Camilla slowly turns around as many others do... Something was coming... There, in the fog... It was parting for something... Parting further and further until... Wait! The fog wasn't parting the 'thing' was overlaid on the fog!
Snap!
"Eep!" she squeaks in surprise as a audible snapping sound echo's through the air as something repels her and everybody else back! As she skids back a bit, she quickly looks up at the rising shape in the fog! It was huge! And kept getting larger until it took on a recognizable shape! It was the fear stealing horse creature! As Camilla remembered it, it remember her! Neighing it's fury, it charges at the group! ""Eek!" she squeaks as she dives out of the way! Unfortunately, one of the beast's hooves clips her good on the way by and sends her to the ground!
Hissing a bit from the slight jolt of pain, she quickly rolls back onto her feet and takes a fighting stance! However... As the creature doubles back and approaches closer and closer, something started to feel off... "H-huh...!?" she exclaims as suddenly everything started to feel... Off... She started to feel... like she was lost... like something was wrong... Who... Was she really... Who... Was she... Slowly, her stance begins to drop as she stares into the blackness that was the horse creature... "Join us~ Come to us~ Your Fear will join something greater~ Come~ Come!" she could hear them... The agonized, the confused, the lost, drawing her in... Tugging at her... Slowly, she begins to walk towards the beast as her sense of self was lost for a moment... "Yes~ come to us~ Join us~" they cry as she nears...
Finally, as it felt as if she were falling deeper and deeper into the abyss, random thoughts drifted through her quickly fogging mind... Most of the thoughts were confused and nonsensical, but something clicks within her as a memory... Just a small memory... A small sense of self comes to the surface! It was simple, it was the interaction with her human before she passed out again... And yet, despite the simplicity, it reminded Camilla of who she was and what she was even doing here!
"Nheng... N-no... No... I-I won't join you!" she exclaims as she begins struggling against the fog inside her head, against the voices which tugged at her! As the creature encroaches further and further, she clutches her head in her hands as she fights the deepening madness! Desperately she starts drawing up more and more memories, even the simple and mundane, to help her remember who she was! Finally, she gets enough sense of self back to regain a hold on her senses! "I-I won't give up and let you absorb me!" she exclaims before taking a fighting position once more!
She'd gotten enough handle on herself to avoid being drawn in again, but waves of nausea started rolling over her as she fought against the creature's madness! She couldn't stand against this thing for long! She had to make her hits count! The nausea onto of the general madness was very distracting, despite this, Camilla decides to try one of her Fear Attacks, one that had never yet worked... Still, she had to try!
Quickly, she dashes away to get some distance. Once she felt she was far enough away and the creature was distracted enough, she closes her eyes and begins to focus her Fear... Suddenly, her body begins to glow a solid white! Before long, two white silhouettes, identical to Camilla in shape, split from her and slide sideways followed by two more! Once the four silhouettes were fully formed, the white light fades away revealing four more Camilla's! Each clone was identical to her in every way, they looked the same, acted the same, and even moved the same! Once Camilla opened her eyes and saw her four clones looking back at her, her eyes widen as she smiles excitedly! "Ooo! Yay! It finally worked! I finally used this Fear successfully in battle!" she exclaims before cheering a bit! Her clones mirrored this until a angry neigh from the horse creature reminded them all of it's presence! "Eep! Right!" she exclaims as another wave of nausea hits her...
Quickly, she thinks Attack the horse separately, and be careful to dodge it's attacks the thought ran across to her clones and they nod in response before lunging at the creature! Each choose to strike a different point, some kicked others punched, they didn't do much damage, just little bits. Finally, Camilla herself goes in for her strike! Lunging forwards, she successfully round house kicks at one of the creatures legs! Unfortunately, because it was so huge and made of shadows, her foot passed right through the leg made of trapped Halloween creatures! "Eep!" she squeaks as she has fumble to land without crashing right into the creature! Fortunately, despite her foot passing right through, it seemed her attack did do damage!
"Yeah, alright!" she exclaims excitedly as her clones disappear and the horse creature neighs it's fury once more! The Dormouse ghoul was so pumped by the fight at this point that she was pretty much ignoring the madness which tried to push it's way into her mind, and the nausea which kept flooding over her!
