Character Name: Dr. Shouichi (Sho for short)

Minis account name: Xaki

Age: 28

Gender: Male

Employment: Surgeon Doctor

Faction: Apartments

Character description:

(+) Dedicated | (+) Level-Headed | (-) Sadistic | (-) Obsessive

Dedicated - He doesn't hesitate, once he makes a decision or an attachment, he sticks to it. He rarely deals with moral conflicts or insecurity because, hey, you're the one who made the decision in the end, right? Nobody forced your hand, deal with it.

Level-Headed - No matter in any situation (whether it be personal, in a surgery, etc) he always strives to maintain a cool head. Even in fear or anxiety, his mind can't help but disassociate from the situation to analyze the pros and cons.

Sadistic - Normally he's a pretty nice guy. Nice, polite, always on time, etc. Nobody needs to question why he is in his job as long as he's competent and follows the rules, right? He thoroughly separates his work from his personal life, along with any hobbies or preferences. But when allowed to go free, he enjoys seeing people uncomfortable, in pain, crying, etc. He's an only child so its thankful there are no siblings to deal with such a personality, but he's always been maintained a facade of politeness with cruel intentions to his girlfriends or those foolish enough to want to go beyond the bounds of friendship.

Obsessive - Once he fixates his attention on something, it's almost scary at how he dedicates himself to it. He's not the type to let go, ever. And he'll do anything as long as it means he'll get his desire in the end.

DAY ZERO ENTRY PROMPT:

Dr. Shouichi had just finished a night shift at the hospital, arriving home quickly to change his clothes, before planning to head back out. However, after a quick shower and in the midst of dressing, the lights quickly flickered and then turned off. Quickly drawing a shirt over his naked chest, he immediately tried to look for his cell phone to call the hospital. There was no signal, due to the loss of telephone lines. And if land lines were out, the train stations, traffic lights, and generally functioning everyday necessities would all be out as well. It wasn't wise to leave even if he was required at the hospital. Forcing himself to think rationally, he settled into a sitting position on his couch.

Infected people? It was true that things had been strange at the hospital as well. Finally deciding to open his door, to check on the statuses and compare information with his neighbors- on the balcony and upper floors of his apartment, the picture of chaos broke out on the streets and lower levels.

"Haaah?!" He looked for a moment longer, to assess how many people were affected, how his chances for escape was, the entrance to his car- things didn't look good. He slammed the door of his apartment quickly, fear beginning to creep into his every pore. Shelves, chairs, furniture was stacked against the doorway as well as any open window that was accessible from the ground.

Journal
Once he was back at his apartments faction, Sho took some time to gather paper an simply write. It was just in his nature to document things, from his former profession. From day zero to when he had arrived at the apartments, to the constant days of gathering umbrellas, to the times of interacting with his fellow survivors, to the day they ventured out to be hit by a grenade from the bandits. Sho's teeth clenched and he seethed with anger somewhat, the pain in his shoulder reminding him of the injuries he had sustained. Did they realize how inconvenient it was? For now, he had attempted to jerk the bone back into place, but the swelling and inflammation wouldn't disappear overnight.

During this month, he had once tried to go back to the hospital. But the hospital was the worst—whatever turned the people unto the undying, clearly knew what to do: the hospital where people were at their most vulnerable, and susceptible both physically and mentally. It had been overrun, and Shouichi had to turn back. If he had been there at the time of the infection.. would he have survived? He had found a place for himself within the apartment faction, but perhaps he could have been in another faction as well. It was useless to debate these things though.

If only they had a way to counteract their current circumstances. In addition with all the strange information they had received, it was turning into something much larger, something much darker than he could even imagine.
