Personality
Lutrin is a naive young troll with a lot of grand ideas and not a lot of regard for their consequences. She has an adventurous spirit and a willingness to try new things. Unfortunately, while a boon, this can often manifest as a problem as well. Her openness to experience means that she gladly leaps head first into trouble... usually without thinking twice about it. Because she lacks foresight she also lacks any kind of escape plan. However by the same extent, this attitude grants her the ability to escape from perilous situations. No matter how dumb or silly an idea sounds if it means coming out on top she'll take it. With some creative thinking and a bit of luck, she can usually get out of the worst of scrapes.
Lutrin is impulsive with a flair for the dramatic. She is never content to settle for the average. Everything has to be big! Loud!! Amazing!!!! Even for every day routine Lutrin tends to make a show of it, adding a little spice wherever she can. She is prone to embellishment and over-reacting. How she over-reacts is not entirely sincere. On some level, the emotion she demonstrates is real but the degree to which she expresses it is often not. It's only a game of pretend that she plays to get a little bit of a rise out of people. Never to manipulate though... well, almost never. She will pout and get teary-eyed if things don't go exactly her way.
With her over-the-top nature, Lutrin has a hard time buckling down and taking matters seriously. She is perpetually surrounded by an air of whimsy. Complex concepts and abstracts tend to float over her thinkpan, and even those she does understand she typically ignores. She would rather pretend something does not exist than have to deal with it. Similarly, she tends to flake out of commitment by dancing around the issue with frivolous shenanigans and silliness. However once she has decided to dedicate herself to something (or someone), Lutrin sticks to it; she is loyal to the point of stupidity. Until that point though getting any kind of confirmation from her can prove an exercise in patience.
Like a lot of lowbloods, Lutrin considers the hemospectrum to be less than fabulous. Being on the lower end of the caste system really sucks. Even so, she harbours no thoughts towards changing it. It is what it is and she and everyone else just make the best of it. She approaches trolls of all blood colours with an open-mind but is little more wary around highbloods of obvious reasons. While there is certainly the potential for friendship there, they do have a reputation for going off and murdering people at random. Not surprisingly, Lutrin is not much of a radical thinker. She is happier letting someone else call all the shots and tagging along behind. If she does get an idea of her own though, watch out. She will hang on to it doggedly.
Though charitable towards others, even total strangers, Lutrin is simultaneously a glutton. She loves to acquire new things simply for the sake of having them. Essentially she gives and takes freely, regardless of what belongs to who. Her concept of property is a bit skewed like that. If she really wants, I mean needs something, she should be able to take it. At least borrow it for a little while. Likewise, if someone needs something of hers they should be able to do the same. Unless she needs it more of course. Other than that, she is not bothered by the loss of her possessions. Though Lutrin will horde any piece of random crap, she has a special love for novelty items like "spaghetti calculators" and "teeny tiny thimble teacups" despite not having any practical application in her life whatsoever.
It's not easy to get on Lutrin's bad side (due to her boundless optimism and receptive personality) but once someone does she can become very petty. While she doesn't plan out grand schemes of vengeance she does try to get back in small ways. She'll take what little victory she can get, including those so small they hardly seem like victories. Pride is not an issue for her and so long as she feels like she won, nothing else matters.
Lutrin is an outdoors type of gal. She really likes animals and fantasises about frolicking through the woods with the local fauna. Of course she limits her moonlit forest adventures with animal companions to her imagination. To approach Alternia's wildlife so carelessly would be stupid. After all, while they may be cute, they are usually dangerous. She typically gives animals a wide berth whenever she goes skylarking. She will however observe them from trees or other safe perches. On her outings, Lutrin harvests fruits, tubers, and nuts to sell. Gosh nuts are delicious!! She also collects manna and honeydew although those are almost exclusively for herself and Sugardad.
More than anything else in the world, Lutrin loves parkour. It is hard to say whether this evolved as a result of her dilapidated hive or if it is a fortunate coincidence. Either way she loves exploring new places through free form running. Sugardad accompanies her on her strolls, gliding a little ways overhead or hitching a ride on her shoulder when he lacks a launch point. Lutrin frequently incorporates cartwheels, somersaults, leaps, and flips into her running. She is an adept climber and adores heights.

Strengths and Weaknesses
Strengths:
Tenacious
If there is one thing Lutrin has going for her, it is her sheer tenacity. As a lowblood this is a pretty valuable trait, especially living in the forest where both the fauna and your own people might kill you. While it can also manifest in a negative fashion (e.g., stubborn to the point of stupidity) her perseverance more often presents itself as a boon. She pursues her objectives doggedly, and any challenges along the way do not stall her for long. Even if a favourable outcome seems impossible, she just keeps on plugging. Lutrin refuses to accept defeat... of any kind. She is always pushing her limits, intentional or otherwise. Though such an attitude can be dangerous, for the most part her experiences only serve to make her stronger. The only way for someone to grow beyond her limits is to push past them!! An important distinction to make: Lutrin's tenacity is not pride. She will gladly sacrifice honour if it means a chance at success. Or if it means getting away with her skin intact. Death is the ultimate defeat.
Go-Getter
Lutrin isn't the type of troll to sit around, twiddling her thumbs. She tends to rely on her gut and excels at making snap-second decisions. And once she has made up her mind to do something, there is little chance of stopping her. She aims high and begins working towards her goals as soon as possible; that is to say, immediately. There is no time like the present. Besides, motivation needs to be put to good use while she has it!! As such, Lutrin usually finishes what she sets out to do and rather quickly at that. However her fast paced approach towards her goals should not be confused as half-assed. She throws all of herself into completing her objectives. Time, energy, resources, everything. After all, what's the point in bothering if she's not going to do it right the first time?
Fearless
If there is such a thing as a ‘healthy dose of fear’ Lutrin has never heard of it. Sure, she has strong survival instincts, and will disengage from a situation she knows she cannot handle (being brave is not the same as being stupid!!), but otherwise she takes on risks with careless abandon. Climbing a hundred foot tree? Easy. Sneaking around a pack of howlbeasts? No problem. Standing up to a cavalier highblood? Sure thing. While there is always a chance for failure, it is important to remember that there is also chance for success. Until that possibility has been exhausted, worrying is useless. All in all, she lives a pretty charmed life. While Lutrin is near impossible to spook, facing danger almost eagerly, she is susceptible to being momentarily startled. She hates when anyone gets the jump on her, and will be sore about it for all of two minutes.
Weaknesses:
Gullible
For the most part, Lutrin tends to see the best in people. She places an alarming amount of faith in strangers, preferring to believe that people will always do the right thing. Everyone should be given a chance—and a second, and a third—even the most dubious of characters. Lutrin is open-minded to a fault in this regard. Regardless what ugly rumours she may hear about someone, they have her unconditional trust until she experiences some of that ugliness first-hand. And unless someone has personally and grievously wronged her she is willing to go along with almost anything, no matter how suspect it sounds. The amount of trust Lutrin will grant someone borders on insanity, especially when it comes to friends. She is willing to endure all kinds of terrible things, because in the end she has faith that everything will turn out all right. Perhaps it does not need to be said, but Lutrin is very easy to manipulate.
Simplistic
Lutrin has a black and white approach to the world and rarely sees things beyond their face value. Right is right and wrong is wrong. Mean people are always bad and nice people are always good. She has a hard time coming to terms with anything that challenges that image and would rather live in denial than have to cope with the finer nuances of morality. Not surprisingly, she tends to avoid complicated thinking whenever she can, turning to others for answers. That way if things turn out badly, she can always blame someone else. When pressed, Lutrin is capable of looking at a situation critically. More often than not though, she shuts down and fits the world into her unrealistic ideology. While kind and generous towards those obviously down on their luck, Lutrin is often oblivious to the needs of others. She does not lack empathy per say, but struggles to apply it. She fails to mentally reconstruct the circumstances surrounding others' attitudes, and attributes any misfortunes to their own failures.
Careless
Careless: Lutrin is a slightly scatter-brained, a tad forgetful, and a little bit of a slob. Because of her tendency to rush from one thing to another, she is constantly leaving her things laying around and wastes a lot of time trying to locate them later. She is prone to forgetting important dates and events unless she writes them down in her planner, and even then there is no guarantee that she will remember to look at it later (hint: she almost always forgets). As much as Lutrin tries to give her life order, organisation usually falls to the bottom of her priorities. Her surroundings and even her mind are in a perpetual state of disarray. She has been known to dash out the door without all her clothes on... several times.

Lusus
Sugardad, a taciturn sugar glider with a bass voice. He is outfitted with a pair of tiny cowboy boots and a hat. They were probably acquired through illicit means. He also has a bowl that says “World's Best Dad”.
Sugardad is an extremely laid-back guardian who tends to live by the motto "live and let live". For the most part, he is content to let Lutrin figure things out for herself, make mistakes, and learn from them. He does on occasion issue gentle reminders to keep his charge out of any real trouble. Lutrin values his words, and takes his advice to heart. After all, the wise are those who speak the least, right? She may over-estimate his cognitive abilities. Like any child adoring a parent, she has taken to mimicking his quirks and habits, mainly climbing and squirrelling away nuts and berries.
Because Sugardad is so very teeny tiny, he is not at all good in a fight. As such he encourages Lutrin to avoid trouble whenever possible. And if worst comes to worst there is no shame in beating a hasty retreat. He has done his best to educate Lutrin in all possible escape tactics.
