While the booth itself is relatively bare, the massive, intimidating construction set-up in the background behind it is anything but. Manning the booth is a sporty teenager, managing a paperwork, and chewing on a piece of chalk. Anyone who makes eye contact promptly has a pen and paper thrust or pelted in their direction.
The adjacent booth is shoddy and shady to say the least. As your gaze wanders to it, a troll bearing an uncanny resemblance to the sporty teen—except that they are wearing a fez, glazzes, and a moustache—pops up from behind the counter. They appear to accept a mysterious currency, ninja nuts, for wares.

How the Game Works
Every day of the week there will be a new obstacle course. These will be randomly generated every rollover by me (the most recent will have the page listed in the thread title). Your objective is to clear all the obstacles in order via RNG and your character stats with the highest score possible. If you fail even one obstacle you cannot complete any more for the day. When you complete or fail a course, you total up your score for the day, using only the scores from the objectives you passed successfully.
The next day there will be a new course for you to complete. Once rollover has been posted the previous course is gone forever and may no longer be attempted. Each course may only be attempted once per character. Throughout the week the number of obstacles will increase and the courses will grow progressively more difficult.
Players who participate every day will get something special at the end of the week! In addition, you recieve one ninja nut for participating. Each obstacle you clear awards you an additional ninja nut. These may be redeemed for prizes.
Two tickets will be given out based on the two best performances each day. The third will be raffled out to everyone who participated in ANS.
How to Play
Roll 1d10 per obstacle. (These may all be rolled in one post, however the results must remain in order). Subtract the appropriate amount of stamina from your current total. If you are out of stamina you are fatigued and must instead subtract it from your roll. Add in any stat bonuses. This, with any fatigue penalties, determines your score for the obstacle. Check the success requirements for each obstacle against each corresponding score. ***As of March 3rd most obstacles have a requirement of 7 or higher.*** If you pass an obstacle, move onto the next one! If you fail an obstacle, you cannot advance any farther for the day. Once you clear a course (or if you fail out) count up your total score from all the obstacles you cleared. The higher your score, the faster you cleared the course. The amount of obstacles cleared always takes priority over score however. Write up an in character response. Every rollover your stamina regenerates for its full amount!
Include the form below in your post:
Score: Your total score from TODAY Failed: The name of the obstacle you failed on (if none, put n/a) Feats Used: Any Feats of Determination you used TODAY Feats Remaining: TOTAL Feats of Determination remaining Ninja Nuts: Your TOTAL here
Stats
Throughout the competition there will be various obstacles that your character must face. Each obstacle can be influenced by one or more stats. The higher a character’s score in a stat, the greater their chance is of succeeding a particular obstacle.
Each player has 16 points per participating character to distribute how they wish across speed, strength, balance, and endurance. If a stat has a score of 0 it counts as -2 towards any obstacle that utilises that stat.
Additionally, each participating character starts with 5 Feats of Determination. A Feat of Determination may be used to automatically pass an obstacle that you would otherwise fail. If you use a feat, you tally up your score like you would normally for an obstacle: your roll + your stat bonus. Feats do not regenerate so use them carefully!
If you wish to compete please fill out and post the following form in the thread:
NAME NAME Speed: A number value between 0 and 7 Strength: A number value between 0 and 7 Balance: A number value between 0 and 7 Endurance: A number value between 0 and 7 Stamina: Multiply your endurance by 2
Example
To see the example obstacles, please click the spoiler below.
Quote:
Log Grip -1 Stamina A vertical log hanging from a downward sloped rail with two one foot drops over a pit of acorns. The objective is to hug the side of the log, riding it across the pit of acorns without falling in.
Add your strength stat to determine your score.
A score of 7 or higher is required to pass this obstacle.
Quote:
Jump Hang -1 Stamina A trampoline under a ten foot jump to a cargo net, again over a pit of acorns. The objective is to jump onto the cargo net and either climb over the top or bottom to reach the next platform.
Roll of 7 or higher:You land high on the net and are able to climb over the top and roll down to the other side. Add your speed to your score.
You automatically pass this obstacle.
Roll of 5 or lower:You land low on the net and have to climb underneath without touching the acorns. Add your endurance to your score.
A score of 7 or higher is required to pass this obstacle.
Quote:
Bungee Bridge -2 Stamina Ten yards of bungee cord strips stretched out over a pit of acorns. The objective is to hop from bungee cord to bungee cord without falling in.
Add your balance to your score.
A score of 7 or higher is required to pass this objective.
Today's obstacles are the Log Grip, Jump Hang, and Bungee Bridge. Shelly the Squirrel, the booth’s mascot, has been badgered into competing. Because there are three obstacles Shelly rolls 3d10. Her results are 7, 10, and 2. First she tackles the Log Grip. She adds her strength bonus to her first roll: 1 + 7 = 8. Since the requirement is 7 she just barely squeaks by! Her stamina is now at 1.
Next up is the Jump Hang. She rolled a 10 so she passes automatically. She still adds her speed to her score though: 10 + 7 = 17. Her stamina is now at 0.
Finally there is the Bungee Bridge. Shelly rolled a 2, which is lower than the pass requirement of 6, however she still needs to add in her balance bonus: 2 + 7 = 9. Because her stamina is now at 0 she must also subtract that number from her score as a fatigue penalty: 9 - 2 = 7.
With that, she passes and completes the day’s obstacle course. Her total score is 32. She gains 4 ninja nuts, 1 for participation, and an additional 1 for each obstacle. Come rollover her stamina will reset to 2.

Goobeast Growth Kit
In a deep cave, tucked away in the darkest, murkiest part of the Four Fronds, dwells the mysterious goobeast, before unheard of to trollkind. The goobeast, though an unassuming creature possesses a miraculous ability. In the early days of its life, as it forages for food, the goobeast absorbs the genetic material of the various life it comes across. Once it has gathered enough, it goes into a cocoon like state and incubates for a month. When it emerges, it has taken on a new, grand form...!
So the shady troll wearing the fez and glasses at the neighbouring booth tells you.
Such a creature sounds exceedingly rare, you think to yourself. It would be a once in a lifetime opportunity to get to see one. And you would be right. But as it turns out, this week is your lucky week! Not only will you get to see a goobeast, you will be able to claim a goobeast of your very own! Because you definitely wanted one. You've been wanting one your whole life, you just didn't know it. Take the goobeast.
The troll reminds you that goobeasts prefer dark, moist places, and should be handled gently, as their jellylike exterior is prone to puncturing and leaking.
What the Heck is This?
This is essentially a mini-game! While this portion of the booth does not award you with tickets or ninja nuts, you are guaranteed semi-custom art for participating. Your goal is simply to create a creature. In addition to goobeast terrariums, the troll (who is obviously not Lutrin) has provided samples of various woodland creatures DNA to bond with the goobeasts. You cannot use troll or lusii genetic material, sorry! Things could get spooky!
How to Play
Each day, pick one of the genetic samples provided to use with your goobeast. Then roll 6D4. Consult the table below.
1: 0% 2: 25% 3: 50% 4: 75%
Your results represent the head, body, legs, tail, colour, and texture in that order. Please note that these are percentages. This indicates the likelihood that a certain feature will receive genetic influence from that particular sample. Record your results in your post like so:
The next day, pick another sample and use a new form. You can keep track of your previous results in a spoiler!
You may only give your goobeast 5 samples (less is fine), and then it must incubate. Samples can be from different creatures or the same if you're looking to increase the likelihood of a particular result. Once you are complete bonding samples to your goobeast, post all of your forms and quote me. I will determine the final results of your goobeast behind the scenes, and start rolling out art after Bloodfest.

Energy Drink (2nn) A delicious(?) energy drink, chock full of healthful vitamins and minerals. You try not to gag at the texture.
Drink this to restore 4 stamina.
Yoghurt Bar (3nn) A yoghurt bar is the best kind of granola bar. You just can't beat that sweet, creamy goodness.
Oh, it also boosts your speed by 2 points for one day. Right on!
Nutter Bar (3nn) Just how many nuts are in this thing?! You're not actually sure if there's any granola in this or if it's just nuts. It tastes pretty good regardless.
That and it boosts your strength by 2 points for one day. That's protein for you!
Veggie Bar (3nn) This does not look particularly appetizing, but if broccoli, spinach, and carrots ground into granola is your thing, you might enjoy it.
It is extremely healthy and boosts your balance by 2 points for one day.
Banana Bar (3nn) Nothing is more nutritious than banana and... Wait a minute! This is just a regular banana. If you're looking for a potassium kick though, this will do the trick.
Eat this to boost your endurance by 2 points for one day. It does not affect stamina.
Kunai (6nn) It's an ordinary kunai, but boy does it look cool! Not to mention multi-functional. You could probably use it to clean those nuts out of your teeth.
Shuriken (8nn) While they might look like tasty metal candies, they are most definitely not edible and very sharp. They come in sets of 3.
Smoke Bombs (8nn) Now you see me, now you... Oh god... too much smoke. Choking... Someone get a... medic...
They come in packs of 8.
Ninja Scarf (15nn) Every ninja needs a scarf! You can use them to hide your face, tie around things, strangle someone... Aside from the practical functions they are also extremely hip. How else are you going to look cool in the breeze?
Lutrin will customise these to your blood colour! (Please post a hex code and quote me!)
Ninja Headband (20nn) The mark of a true ninja. It protects your forehead and lets everyone know that you are a hardcore athlete who is not to be messed with (it can act as a sweatband!).
Lutrin will inscribe your symbol on the metal plate. Pft. Who cares about anonymity? Not ninjas. (Please quote me!)

AMONEE BRYCER Speed: 4 Strength: 3 Balance: 4 Endurance: 5 Stamina: 10 What makes you think you can win ANS?I have been training all my life in the harsh conditions of Busthind. I was born to do this! Since I was a young wiggler, I have dreamed of crowds cheering my name as I gracefully move from challenge to challenge. Being a ninja squirrel would mean everything to me. When I win, I'm going to Disneyland!! Let's go NUTS, Alternia!
Sample: Flower (can it be pink?) Head: 50% Body: 0% Legs: 50% Tail: 75% Colour: 75% Texture: 75%
"Omigosh, this sounds amazing!" Amonee had been a fan of Lutrin's booth last sweep and had come by again to see what the rascal was up to this time. He was not disappointed! Large platforms and obstacles with bright lights lit up the area and he contemplated if he could survive all of them. Sports were not his forte but he was going to compete in these events if it killed him!
But of particular interest was the goobeasts. How was this possible? It was fascinating to think about growing your own little monster. The jadeblood poured over the literature before selecting his first sample.
Was anyone really surprised it was a flower?

Chiara Speed: 5 Strength: 4 Balance: 2 Endurance: 5 Stamina: 10 What makes you think you can win ANS?"Really, Lutrin, why do i even have to answer this? Like, you know im best, and if you say otherwise i am so not gonna come back here. So yeah, im gonna win, then your gonna admit it, and then, i dont know, we can go out for frozen cow lactate or whatever. Why is your booth always so weird? And, is that squirrel your pet or something? Looks like a pest really... That thing totally tripped up my dancers last year! Ha, okay, that was really funny, shes cool.
Chiara made a disgusted face as she looked at Lutrin's.... game. The blueblood rolled her eyes, grabbed something at random, and, without reading any instructions, put her elbows on Lutrin's booth, saying, "What is this? No i dont wanna read it. Come on, tell me, you wanna talk to me, dont you?"

KALDRU DAJALE Speed: 3 Strength: 4 Balance: 3 Endurance: 6 Stamina: 12 What makes you think you can win ANS?I don't know if I can win! Everyone here looks like they could too! But, um! I spend a lot of time outdoors, and I love climbing things and running and jumping and stuff like that, so even if I lose I think I'll have plenty of fun! I hope everyone has a good time and I wish them luck on the courses too!
Who wouldn't want their own custom monster?! That was Kaldru's thought as he decided to listen to and participate in this whole goobeast thing. He hadn't heard of such a thing, but who was he? Some kind of goobeast expert?

Keionx couldn't pass up a challenge like this, and it was very in character as Xionek. They would never pass something up either... so she signed up, observing that the squirrel seemed to be... very familiar... and the troll... very energetic.
And, to her dismay, a certain blueblood of ill repute. She clenched her fists and slipped away. Indeed - if Chiara was competing, there was no way that Keionx would allow a loss.
Something had Ma'am excited, and Psykgi gamely followed the swarm between booths until she found... some sort of squirrel booth? Psykgi took a closer look. "Ma, it's some kind of... ninja thing." she said, turning to walk away, "I'm not really interested..."
No...no... not that... not that... Ma'am chittered in her ear, at her feet, on her shoulder, behind her head... the swarm was so excited that it was speaking in multiple voices, The other, the other, yes there...
"What, this...?" Psykgi frowned, "What the heck?" It was some kind of... abomination creation game, with a gooey pet prize. Thing. "I dunno, Ma..."
Do it... do it... yes... we will create a creature... create... and then we will.. A S S I M I L A T E it.
Psykgi shook her head at the excited chittering. "I don't know, Ma... Can you do that?"
Variation will make the collective strong. Strong. The many will be strong. Do it. Do it. DO IT.
"Geesh. Fine." Psykgi said, with some definite reluctance, "I'll take care of the..." - Goobeast, the fez-and-glassified troll reminded her. "Goobeast." She was pretty sure that her lusus was getting excited over nothing, and that it would turn out to be just some weird-a** pet... but what the heck - why not give it a try? Ma'am's disappointment would be better than her nagging, after all...
