History:
Born the eldest son of the chief of the Gabor family of gypsies, Andrei had certain privileges growing up. However, he also had certain responsibilities. One left a decidedly greater impression upon him than others. Shortly after her birth, he was introduced to his baby sister. He was inordinately fascinated by the tiny, fragile, pink thing. So, when he was told that it would be his duty to protect her, he threw himself into the task. Perhaps unwisely, he decided to protect her so thoroughly that anyone who so much as hurt her feelings met with his wrath. His efforts combined with those of his overprotective mother served to turn Ana into a very spoilt, selfish girl, but Andrei did not care. All that mattered to him was that she was happy and she was his to protect.
Of course, even a sister who grew more in need of his attention and protection the older she got could not command all of his time. Whether he was born with it or he acquired it during his upbringing, Andrei had a certain disposition that made his morals...a little different than those of the average person. He was not the kind of little boy who pulled the wings off of flies; instead, he was the kind who methodically dissected frogs. He had a certain aptitude, it seemed, for precise violence and when tested found that he was willing to inflict violence on the unsuspecting rather than merely on an opponent in the heat of a fight. A certain member of the tribe quietly took him under his wing and taught him many things - like how to move silently over creaking floorboards and which poisons were best for what purpose and how to keep a person from making any noise while they died. Andrei learned his lessons quickly and became a fine assassin, indeed.
About:
Andrei Gabor is not the most sociable of people. He is not shy, nor is he precisely stoic, but neither does he see any reason to indulge in meaningless smalltalk. He does not form attachments easily and does not display much in the way of temper, but instead seems to live just a little to the side of the general populace. He is patient because he does not particularly care one way or the other and he watches the world with a kind of clinical detachment. His skills of observation are quite acute.
However, when he does form an attachment, he is exceedingly possessive and protective. His sister is a prime example. He believes that because she has him, she does not really need anyone else - he sees the men she dallies with as her playthings. It is difficult to say whether the kindness and softness he shows her is genuine or if he acts that way because it is what she expects. Either way, the mere fact that he is willing to kill for the simple offense of upsetting her is is proof enough that his morals are a little...skewed.
