Hobbies: Marbles: Marybeth has a very large marble collection and very much enjoys going to various parks and playing with them. She would love to show you her favorite cat’s eye marble, and is always on the look out for new marbles to add to her slowly growing collection. You just can’t find good marbles anymore. Also, if you’ve lost your marbles, chances are Marybeth may have them.
Theater: Marybeth loves the theater. She loves the feeling that you get when the audience gives you a thunderous applause, and when they leave flowers for you in your dressing room after the performance. She really enjoys the ability to become someone else as she acts, and sometimes find herself molding into the role, taking away from it what she wants and adding to her own character. She finds you can learn a lot from acting, and from watching plays being performed. Her first and most important goal is to star in either a movie or a Broadway play. Or both.
Drama: Marybeth loves to know what's going on with everyone around her, and thrives off of hearing about different things especially if the things she hears are negative for other people. She enjoys being a cause of some of the gosip that is spread around her school, and loves to stay on top of most, if not all of the rumors that circulate. If there is a big break up, she likes to be in the know of things like that as well. One could say she likes the gossipy type drama as much as she likes the theater.
The Weather: If she can’t become a Broadway star someday, then Marybeth would like to be the next big weather girl…she loves staring at the clouds and watching the rain, and nothing can thrill her more then watching the snow fall during a big blizzard. She’s thinking of going to poke around the Destiny City Weather station soon and see if they want any help. When she graduates from Crystal Academy, she figures she’s going to try to double major in both theater and in meterology from DCU, that way she’ll have her bases covered in case one of her goals doesn’t work out
Virtues:
Good Listener: To be on top of the latest gossip one needs to have a good ear, and Marybeth has that. She is not only good at listening to what people say in regrds to gossip but also very good at listening when people need to vent to her. This adds quite a bit for her providing a fool proof way to hear the best gossip fast, and being able to be there for the people that do mattr to her.
Punctual: Marybeth likes to keep herself on the good side of gossip, at least for the most part. She does this by always keeping her promises and being where she needs to be when she needs to be there. If she promises you that she'll be somewhere, it would be only due to some sort of personal crisis or emergancy that would keep her away. Marybeth prides herself on always being the reliable one in her group of friends and in her family at least when it comes to being on time for things.
Outgoing: Marybeth loves to smile and she loves having friends and spending time with them. She tries her hardest to be personable and likes to goof off sometimes, cracking jokes when she can think of them. One of her favorite things to do is to talk and she's glad to talk to almost anyone, never seeming to mind the action of talking and being friendly.
Flaws:
Self Centered: Marybeth has lived her life with the knowledge that she is the center of the universe. Her parents made sure she always knew this fact, and it has stuck with her for years and years. She will often come across as snobby, and will think of herself far more often than she would think about others. If there were a fire or something, Marybeth would only be concerned that she made it out alive; everyone else is an after thought.
Bad Tempered: It doesn’t take much to offend Marybeth, even if you’re giving criticism to try and help her out, if you say it the wrong way, you may be in for a very long winded angry rant coming at you. Give her time though, normally she’ll cool off if you give her some space. Though they say easily quick to anger, quick to forgive, and that is sometimes the case with Marybeth, though, other times it really is not. This girl can be very vengeful and angry for a long, long time, holding grudges that can last for years and years. If you do something to make her too mad at you, you may never get off her hate list.
Tactless: Marybeth doesn't think very much about what she says and can very often end up fuling the fire if there is an argument. She is very hypocritical in this sense due to her getting upset at the littleist of things, but she doesn' seem to think of how other people will take to her insults or her 'meaningful insights'. She figures that everything that comes out of her mouth needs to be said, and she will say it without cosidering the other person's feelings.
