There was a strange presence out tonight, and Mesolite really wanted to find out who and what it was. It felt kind of like one of her negaverse allies, and kind of sort of like how Remarque felt. Maybe it was another dark mirror senshi? She wasn’t completely sure, and just kept moving towards it. Whoever it was, she wanted to meet them. The more allies one had, the easier it was to meet the higher-ups after all.

It was a really hot night out tonight, and very sticky with humidity. Mesolite was wishing, as she often found herself doing on these hot summer nights, that her skirt was just a bit shorter, and her sleeves were nonexistent. But, as always, she couldn’t do anything about her uniform. At least she wasn’t wearing pants or anything like that.

Aha! The presence was getting closer. Mesolite rounded the corner of a block and saw…

Hair. Lots and lots of blonde hair. Who on earth would want to have that much hair! And on a night like tonight? It would be terribly uncomfortable. “Excuse me. Hi. Who and what are you, if you don’t mind me asking?” Even if she did mind. The question was already out there. No take backs.

She'd been out patrolling with Labyrinthite, the second time that week. She was beginning to get a bit more used to it all, used to the feeling of Chaos in her veins. Despite this all, Eos was still very grateful to have her officer there, the Captain's presence being a huge reassurance, especially when other energy signatures invaded onto her radar. But tonight had been a little more drama-filled, and after many warnings from her Captain and many assurances from Eos herself, Labyrinthite had taken off to investigate a signature. Apparently it was a special type of Order, and he'd thought it might be a Guardian.

So here she was, alone. She'd sensed as Labyrinthite left, moving further and further, and the blonde wrapped her arms around herself as she suddenly felt very, very lonely. Eos shivered, the cold suddenly all that more apparent.

And then she sensed it. A Chaos signature, and for a moment her heart leapt as she thought it might be Labyrinthite returning. But he hadn't been gone long, and it didn't seem...strong enough. His was always a strong pulsing sensation in her head, this one was more gentle. Hugging herself tighter, Eos continued walking, turning blue eyes upwards to view her possible escape routes. She was good at roof-jumping, she could be up and gone in no time, even with this ridiculous mountain of hair. It certainly didn't agree with her on a humid night like tonight, and she brushed it away for the umpteenth time.

The signature got closer and closer, but it wasn't until the questions that she suddenly realized it was behind her, pivoting on the spot with narrowed eyes and a heavily guarded expression, arms outstretched and ready to attack. She swallowed as she eyed the lieutenant carefully - well, at least it was a Chaos agent. She didn't seem very well informed, though, and her mind briefly remembered the warning Zinkenite had given her, about some of the Negaverse kind of hating her guts a little.

"Hi..," she responded, very wary of the stranger before her, taking a step back as the girl approached her. Should she say who she was? She supposed it was a Chaos agent. "I'm Sailor Eos," she responded, still guarded, "Senshi of the Senses. You are?"

Mesolite liked what she saw. The girl was…hairy from behind, but very attractive from the front. She had a very, very pretty face. The lieutenant gave a small curtsy, again finding it difficult to do in her skirt, though smiled. “I am lieutenant Mesolite. Now, what sort…you’re a senshi. But you don’t feel like a Dark Mirror Senshi, just what kind of senshi are you?”

The girl was curious, she had to admit, and took a moment to circle around Eos, shaking her head at the massive amount of hair. “How is your head still on your shoulders? Doesn’t that hurt?” Maybe she would start growing her hair out like that, it was already past her shoulders now…why not let it grow another five feet so it swept the floor too.

“I don’t know, Eos. The longest my hair has ever been was halfway down my back, and that lasted all of…maybe a month, then I got a buzz cut. My mom hated me after that. For at least a month later! Until I had some hair covering my ears at least!” She looked at the senshi, now facing her once more, and waited for a response.

Some Negaverse agents might have a grudge against the senshi, be they corrupted or not, Dark Mirror or not, but to Mesolite, chaos was chaos. This girl was an ally, and now she just had to figure out just what kind of ally she was!

This girl was...strange. Not only was her hair a very bright (but admittedly beautiful) colour, but she seemed very blunt and to the point. Eos wasn't sure what to think (although the attempted curtesy was a lovely gesture), whether to believe her or trust her or what. Either way, the lietenant hadn't attacked her yet, and didn't seem particularly hostile. Just curious, to the point of it being...well, not quite rude. But not quite polite, either.

"I've been corrupted," Eos answered, trying to keep her own answers to the point, "Hence the holes." A gloved hand brushed lightly over her chest and her forehead, where the obvious marks of her corruption lay. Unease set in again as Mesolite made to circle her, forcing Eos to pivot with the agent, not wanting to take her eyes off of her. "Why all the questions?" And then the conversation moved on to her hair. What was with this girl? She was everywhere, her questions didn't make sense together, almost as if she was...well, lost. The blonde's eyes glazed over for a moment at the thought - perhaps Mesolite was as lost as she was.

"Not really." She shrugged, making a conscious effort to try and be friendlier, though she still kept an ear out incase the situation should change, "It doesn't really weigh...anything." Eos hadn't pondered it much before - the extra length must be magical in it's origin, since her hair was short when henshined down. Mesolite was getting chatty now, and Eos allowed a small smile to tug at her lips as her tensed muscles relaxed a little. "My hair was always long - not this long, more back-length. I got it cut to more shoulder length, but Chaos...I don't know, Chaos has made it grow somehow."

She reached a hand up at the thought, playing with a few strands by swirling them around her fingers.

She blinked at Eos. The senshi had been corrupted? The pinkette leaned in to have a closer look at the holes and seemed surprised, and kind of excited. “Like, you’re a part of the Negaverse? We can…we have our own senshi?”

So, if the Negaverse could have their own senshi, that meant…there was hope for Monochrome to be on her side after all! Oh, wouldn’t that be a dish. Mesolite laughed out loud, then looked back at the corrupted senshi. “Wow. So it’s just, magic long hair. Like Rapunzel or something. But that’s good it doesn’t weigh anything. I’m sure that if it did, it would be really difficult to do anything.”

She took a step back shaking her head. Well, she had been in a little up in the senshi’s face, and now it was time to show her all the politeness she had to offer. “So you weren’t always part of chaos? But then you joined us? Well…welcome! Very much welcome!” This wasn’t a Dark Mirror senshi, this was a senshi who was really part of the negaverse. This was a girl who was her true ally.

This was one hell of an opportunity. “If there’s anything I can do for you, I am totally happy to. I want to get to know as many people in our group as I can, Eos. So, If you’re ever feeling lonely or anything, I’ll give you my phone number, and you can go ahead and call me. For anything. I’m all up for friendships.”

Eos had assumed that the word 'corrupted' said enough about it and that the conversation would then move on, so she was taken by surprise when Mesolite pushed the issue. She blinked, taking a few moments to catch herself again before she gave a small nod. "Yeah. General-King Zinkenite corrupted me. He could've killed me, but he saved me." She paused, frowning a bit as she tried to recall it and give more information. "I...I don't really remember it, but it hurt. I think it's similar to your own recruitment, chaos and starseeds and things." The blonde shrugged, unable to really elaborate further.

The laugh was a bit creepy, and Eos frowned warily as the pink-haired girl started gushing about the blonde's own locks. Magic long hair, apparently. She merely shrugged, not really as bothered with how it all worked as Mesolite seemed to be.

And now it was all smiles and welcomes again? Eos smiled, somewhat relieved. Despite Zinkenite's warnings, and her initial wariness, so far most of the Negaverse agents that she'd met had been very welcoming and accommodating. Certainly none of them had seemed to have an outright hatred for her. Rubbing the back of her head, suddenly feeling shy, the blonde nodded. "Heh, thanks. That...that would be nice, yeah. I'm still adjusting to it all." Being chucked it at the deep end with regards to her new civilian identity, she wanted all the help and contacts she could get - especially those she knew she could trust, and those in the Negaverse who understood (to a certain degree) what she'd been through.

Mesolite grinned. “Um…are you good at remembering numbers or should I figure out a way to write mine down?” She glanced around. “Aw, if I’m giving you my phone number, I suppose it stands to reason that you can know who I am for real, right?” She glanced around once more and powered down from being Lieutenant Mesolite, smiling at Eos as her normal civilian self, Marybeth.

She took a moment to pull her phone out and grinned. “Okay, shoot me your number and I’ll shoot you a text back okay?” This was interesting and exciting, her first time going to be able to meet someone that was on her side as her normal self. Why hadn’t she thought of this before? All the fun she could be having running around during the day with other members of the Negaverse…It was a very tempting, thought…and if it worked out with this girl, then it should work out for more of her teammates in the future.

She opened her phone up too her contacts screen, then blinked, laughing. “You can give me your number when you’re ready, also. My name’s Marybeth when I’m not all badass and powered up.”

Woa woa WOA, suddenly there was a civilian in front of her and the corrupt senshi felt horribly uncomfortable. There was no way she'd consider henshining down in front of someone, even a fellow Chaos agent, in such a public setting. Her nostrils flared and her eyes widened in alarm and she wasn't very subtle with disguising her discomfort. "I, uhm...ah." What if one of those silly senshi were around and sensed their power signatures? They might get suspicious at one suddenly disappearing - oh god this was stressful!

The pink-haired girl was looking at her expectantly, waiting for the phone number. Eos was still struggling to comprehend the stupidity of her actions, but swallowed the lump in her throat none-the-less and checked the surrounding area. What if someone was listening in?! "I, uhm..," she stammered, before finally relaying her phone number in a meek, nervous tone, glancing around as she did so.

"Marybeth, I really don't think this is a good idea."

Marybeth blinked completely not comprehending why Eos would be so…was she frightened? Well, frightened like all of the sudden. It didn’t seem like it would be such a bad thing to power down, they were both on the same side, weren’t they? It wasn’t as though she was going to go and sell her identity out or anything.

The pinkette blinked again, getting the phone number in her phone and shooting off a text to Eos. “Well…why not? I mean…you were uh…you seemed okay with hanging out sometime a few minutes ago…don’t you…uh…” She frowned now. Had she repulsed the girl?

She looked away. “Well, Nevermind then. I guess I didn’t…really want to hang out with you anyway. It was great to meet you and all, but I really should get going I have…you know. Places to be and all that. So…later.”

This wasn’t how she thought the night would end, not at all, and honestly, Marybeth felt like a complete fool. Was she that lame that someone wouldn’t want to hang out in the real world? Was that stupid? She shoved her hands into the pockets of her jeans and began walking away, a scowl set on her face. Her feelings were hurt, and that wasn’t ever a good place to be in. Hurt feelings just caused bad things to happen, after all.

Ohgod, she really did have a talent for majorly screwing things up. "No, Marybeth, wait-" Eos made to follow the girl, swallowing a lump in her throat and feeling a flutter in her stomach as she allowed her power to flow out through her feet and into the ground, hair shrinking and regular old Naomi Watts being the girl to secure a slender hand around the pinkette's arm.

"I just...I'm new to all of this, okay? And t-this makes me uneasy." She indicated Marybeth, and then herself, hoping she was getting her point across. They were so vulnerable right now - if a senshi or a knight was around they'd be at their mercy, and after being given such an amazing chance by Zinkenite and Labyrinthite she didn't want to go a mess it up by being so free with revealing her civilian identity.

"Are we allowed to do this, in public?"
