As it says above, this is a guide to all you need to know about Legendary Pokemon as well as how to recruit them!

The Legendaries are usually very private beings and normally do not intervene in the normal lives of mortal Pokemon.
This is why they are so rare.

The Pokemon you recruit are not THE Legendary, they are only an offset of the original by unknown means.
These Demi-God Legendaries are called Semi-Legendary Pokemon.
[See the next post for further information.]

Below is a list of the following Legendary you may recruit at Rank Five [Click on their name to go to the area they are at]:

Zapdos

Articuno

Moltres

Mew

Mewtwo

Raikou

Entei

Suicune

Lugia

Ho-oh

Celebi

Regirock

Regice

Registeel

Latias & Latios

Jirachi

Deoxys

Uxie

Mesprit

Azelf

Heatran

Regigigas

Shaymin

Manaphy

--------------------------------

For plot purposes the Pokemon that are left out of this list may in NO WAY be recruited.

Semi-Legendary Pokemon

By some interference of humans or possibly rips in time and space, there can be more than one type of legendary although these are, by no means, the original legendary and hence not as powerful.

Semi-Legendary are a subclass of Legendary Pokemon. They may share a species and similar powers but are mortal and nowhere near as strong as the original.

Semi-Legendary have genders, unlike pure legendary, and although this means they are capable of having offspring it is generally frowned upon.

The offspring of a Semi-Legendary will ALWAYS be the same species as the non-legendary mate and if two Semi-Legendary get together then there will be no egg at all.

It is in this way that Semi-Legendary may NEVER produce a Legendary species as a child.

Offspring of Semi-Legendary may have abilities and powerful egg moves from their parent which are not usually found in their specific species.
These traits, however, do no usually show themselves until final evolution.

The reason why Semi-Legendary having children is so widely disliked is that due to the clash of legendary power with a mortal body most do not live past the age of twenty and when they do it is at great mental and physical pain.

For example, if one were to fill a balloon with air it would expand, but the balloon can only expand so far. Too much air would push the balloon's limits and it will eventually burst.
The balloon may be torn to shreds completely or simply have a hole in it.

This is the same for Semi-Legendary offspring. Death or Insanity.

Recruiting a Semi-Legendary Pokemon

I'm sure everyone has noticed it at some point. Sometimes in a territory you will see a side note stating that a Legendary Pokemon sometimes resides within that area.

This is step one to recruiting a legendary.

Once you reach Rank Five you automatically get an item called a Golden Flute. This flute allows you to recruit ONE legendary of your choice, but first you have to go and get them.

Locate the area your legendary is in and write a free exploration of that area.
This means you do a free lance mission of the ENTIRE DUNGEON.

At the end you may meet your legendary, maybe even chat it up some, but be warned that if you do not meet the mission requirements then not only will you fail the mission and not get your legendary but you will lose your Golden Flute and be unable to try again.

Semi-Legendary Restrictions!

In case you didnt get the, they arent as powerful as the real Legendary thing, let me explain further...

Celebi- Can't go parading off through time at it's whimsy.
All Celebi exist knowing that they may not influence major events, nor give off information of the future.

Ho-oh- Not allowed to pull that 'resurrection' thing.
[No being reborn from the ashes or bringing things to life.]

Lugia- Flooding the world is a big no-no. Leave the Oceans alone.
Smaller bodies of water are all good though.

Jirachi- Not allowed to grant wishes that will BREAK REALITY.
[And please dont let it rain burritos from the sky...]

Lake Trio- Have no Influence over the Legendary Dragons.
[Pl-pl-plot breakah!]
