Frozen Valley

Surrounded by tall mountains and ravaged by constant vicious snowstorms, this valley is actually considered tame compared to most of the treacherous peaks in the area, but nonetheless only the hardiest of pokemon can live there. Obviously, the entire area is always buried by snow and ice, with a few tough pine trees poking through as the only real plant life around, and any explorers who dare to venture here will have fierce winds and all-around terrible weather to deal with in addition to the constant threat of avalanches from the surrounding mountains.
Needless to say, be careful when exploring this dungeon, because as if there wasn't enough danger already, legend has it that the legendary pokemon Articuno is always watching over the valley from the cliffs above, ready to strike down anyone who is deemed a threat to it's home.

Zerca xxx Runoura xxx Sinistrad
& Client Arin the Snorunt

A pair of Pokemon sat on the couch of the common room, both eyeing each other warily. They had decided it would be in the best interest of their Team to take a new mission and now all that was left was to wait for their resident Snorunt companion to return from the store. After checking their stores, they had found there was not nearly enough food to get them through a likely to be, very stressful day. The room was uncomfortably silent seeing as Auron was off trying to get Reddrin to calm down again. That left Zerca and Sinistrad within feet of each other and not another soul around to witness anything… unsavory. The temptation was almost too much. The Spinarak’s legs twitched while his Co-Leader fidgeted away on her side of the furniture.

The air was growing tenser all the while and just when it seemed it would shatter and chaos would abound… Runoura quietly pushed open the door and peered inside. Both sets of eyes in the room flew to the young Pokemon who almost jumped at their intense focus. “I… have the Apples.” She said, waving the bright fruits as if they could shield her. Nodding, Zerca jumped off the couch and smiled while patting her on the head.

“Good job, Rune. Now let’s go pick something out.” Turning, she led the way out of their rooms. Sinny followed behind the two females, muttering lightly to himself about non-sense that would only make sense to a heartless d**k. It was a fairly quiet day for as they traversed the guild few Pokemon were out and about to greet them as they made their way by. After a few more swift turns and long hall ways, they were met by the sight of the Bulletin Board. By the looks of it, Skipper had recently dropped off a whole load of new missions to pick from. At once, Zerca and Sinistrad took off, looking for one they thought they would like. Rune on the other hand, lingered back a moment before cautiously approaching the expanse of papers.

The con-artist shuffled along the wall with the help of his hooked feet, scanning through those that would make the most profit. Zerca had her eye out for anything involving a good fight and maybe some interesting items to boot. In the background, their little Snorunt simply stood awkwardly, taking in everything hesitantly. Finally the two older members decided upon a mission. The problem was they were totally opposite, one being short but expensive and the other being long and cheap. Needless to say, the Totodile and the Spinarak began to bicker. “Do you not see that our Team is lacking in funds!? This is the one to take!” “Uh-huh. And I’m a princess. This one right here is the real deal!”

Runoura couldn’t take the fighting so she marched up to that mean, nasty board and pulled off the one mission that had caught her eye. She then shoved the paper between the two verbal combatants, making them both cut off mid-sentence in shock that they had actually been interrupted (if indirectly) by their resident shy child. Closing her mouth, she took it and read it over before passing it to Sinistrad. “You know, I kinda like the sound of it. Good going, kiddo.” She said with a toothy grin. In the background, Sinny’s head bobbed in agreement. Both items were of great value and the length seemed decent enough.

Now that the unlikely trio had actually settled upon their chosen assignment, it was time to get going. A little note at the bottom described where they would be going and that their Client would be waiting just at the entrance of the Frozen Valley. Heading back to the room just to pack two Oran Berries, two Apples, and a Big Apple, Zerca shouldered the foodstuffs and motioned towards the exit of the Guild. A Fearow would be dropping by to fly them to their destination and they certainly did not want to be late. “Heh, let’s get ready to kick some a** my friends.” The reptilian female laughed, quite happy to be out and doing something again.

::~x~x~x~x~x~x~x~::

After jumping down from the feathery back of the large bird, Zerca waved good-bye while Rune uttered a word of thanks and Sinistrad just rolled his eyes. He saw no reason to thank someone for doing a job they were originally assigned and paid for to do. All that was left was to find their client and be on their way… The two older Pokemon threw thir heads around in search of their shy client and came up empty. “I swear if we were stood I’m still going to get the damn rewards.” The Ariados snarled. It did not sit well with him when he was forced to come out into Arceus only knows where and be met with absolutely nothing.

A short period of time passed and eventually Rune walked over to what appeared to be a snowy stump of wood and gently poked it. The not-stump jumped up and spun around, staring with wide fearful blue eyes. It was none other than the Snorunt they had been asked to escort. “Wh-who are you!? Don’t hurt me!” he cried, cringing away. Like most Snorunts, he was inherently shy and disliked having to ask someone for help.

Sinistrad opened his mouth to sneer at the boy but Rune cut in and took his hand. “It’s okay… we are Team Amsel… come to answer your mission…” she whispered quietly. At once the boy relaxed, happy to not be forced to travel the length of the area with a scary spider and a mean looking crocodile. Nodding to all three, he positioned himself a little to the side and behind Rune, clinging to the end of her black cloak.

“Th-thank you for coming. My name is Arin.” He muttered shyly. “C-can we get going now?” Here he glanced towards the dangerous path ahead and shuddered in fear. He would have never been able to brave such a place alone, even if he was born here. At the top of the valley, only the hardies of ice types survived. Pausing, as if unsure of himself for a moment, he raised a stubby hand and pointed out the right way. “Th-that way. B-be careful though. Lots of P-Pokemon here have been getting mad lately.” The warning was pushed aside without another thought by the others.

Zerca was glad for the distraction this mission presented. She had spent too long mourning the loss of her love, Vira. Now, even though that love would never go away, she felt only bitter hatred and sadness whenever she thought about her beautiful black fur or the way her pink eyes had glimmered with joy. Sighing, she punched Sinny’s hind leg. “Let’s get goin’ buddy. The sooner this is over the sooner you can claim your damned precious rewards.” She muttered, half hoping to get a chance to beat the spider shitless.

Of course, with this team’s luck, they had run into trouble right off the bat. A couple of Poochyena pups were fighting over some scraps of meat when they caught a whiff of the Pokemon heading their way. All scrabbles stopped at once and the three dark dogs growled menacingly and formed a blockade. “Mine! I hungry!” the youngest one barked before the others followed suit and began yapping up a storm.

“This doesn’t look good at all…” Zerca stated, glancing around cautiously for a way out. Most likely, the main pack would be nearby and if they didn’t get away in time they would be royally screwed. Why couldn’t’ anything just work out nice and smooth? Out of the corner of her eyes, the Croconaw caught a bit of movement. It was Sinistrad, edging forward with the intent to attack. “What the hell do you think you’re doing!? You’re going to get us all killed!” Looking around with wide, wary eyes, she scanned for danger. Meanwhile Rune and Arin stood holding hands and looking rather distressed at the fighting. They didn’t know what to do, but already they could feel the pound of many feet heading their way.

Sinistrad reared away from Zerca and was about to make a biting comment of his own when he heard the heavy breathing of the pack. “s**t…” he growled. “Ow!” In the moment he had been distracted, the irate Croconaw had smacked him hard over the head. Whipping around and glaring at the water-type, he was about to attack when a bigger problem struck. All of a sudden, they were surrounded by Mightyena on all sides. There were far too many to count. Going back to back with the two Snorunts protected between them, they searched for a weakpoint and could find none. “Now what…?” Sinny whispered.

“You dare to trespass and go so far as to harm our children!?” The lead male, a huge Mightyena, howled angrily. His pack all snarled at this, hackles raising and sharp teeth bared. Desperately the four Pokemon looked for an escape route but could find none. “You will meet your deaths here. Feel proud that your bodies will serve to sustain my kingdom.” With this, he through back his head and release a long Howl that made all but the strongest of Pokemon cringe. There was no time to think, only to act.

“Rune! Take Arin and run! We gotta make sure we finish the mission at least.” Zerca roared as she met her attackers with a Hydro Pump that would hold them off for only a short while. “Sinistrad and me will hold ‘em off while you scram!” Rune looked unsure, but one glance at those gaping red jaws was enough to make her turn around and tug Arin in the right direction. A small opening had arrived when the pack flooded towards them and she was taking the opportunity to make full use of it.

Working together, the Ariados and Croconaw managed to knock out at least five of the Mightyena but the numbers felt endless. “Zerca… We can’t keep this up.” Sinistrad yelled to the water type who sent back a glare in return. Of course she knew that! But they needed to hold off for as long as they could. It was when her silver blue eyes caught sight of back up on the horizon that she agreed it was time to turn tail and run as best as they could.

“Alright, one the count of three, we’re gonna turn in the direction Rune went and give ‘em our strongest attack. Might get hurt, but it’s the only way.” She said in her commanders voice. The spider only nodded, not at all in the mood to argue against her wishes. Raising her claw, she put one digit up, then another, and finally the last. Together they spun around and released a powerful Hydro Pump / Psychic combo. An escape was made as the stunned Mighyena staggered about and they took their chance.

Running fiercely, they dared not look back at the oncoming flood of dark types. Far in the distance they could see the tiny forms of Arin and Rune running. It would take a while, but they were sure to catch up. That is, until one of those vicious avalanches the terrain was well known for occurred. It started with a few snowy rocks rolling down the hill but soon a tidal wave of snow and ice was barreling down the mountain side and completely cutting them off not only from escaping but from their younger teammate as well. “Shitshitshit!” Zerca cried as she came to a halt, back now to the stilling mound of snow.

Sinny was also cursing, knowing that they couldn’t try to climb over for fear of causing another terrible wave of snow to come crashing down. “What about Rune? We might be able to handle those Mightyena on this narrow path but she scarcely knows how to fight, let alone get through this place in one piece!” Zerca was also worried but they couldn’t dwell on that for too long. For now, they’d have to trust that their teammate would do the best she could. “They’re coming.” He noted quietly and together they steeled themselves but the spider couldn’t help but throw in one of his dickish comments. “Think you’ll be able to handle the pressure, miss dramatic?”

“Think you’ll be able to handle your eyes getting ripped out?” she retorted to which Sinny visibly cringed. He hated and feared an imperfect body more than anything else. Taking a slow breath to steady himself, he began to shoot String Shot all across the ground. At the very least, it would make it more sticky footing that would send some of the dark wolves spiraling to their deaths. Now it was a wait for them to be upon Team Amsel…

>->->->-O-<-<-<-<

Meanwhile Arin and Rune had continued running as hard as they could until the sounds of battle were nothing but a whisper in the background. “C-can we stop for a minute! I’m s-so tired.” The boy cried and Rune only nodded picking out a nice slab of ice for the pair to sit upon. She didn’t know how Zerca and Sinny were doing but she was worried. Even more so, she was saddened with her inability to fight. Sure, she could if she wanted to but that was the problem. The Snorunt disliked fighting immensely.

Sighing, she couldn’t help but think back to her friends and the one Pokemon that seemed to make her truly happy. He had a flashing jewel-like eye and a bottomless intelligence that had drawn her to him in the first place. Depression set in. He would never like a pathetic little Snorunt that couldn’t even look out for herself in a battle. While lost in her thoughts, Arin tugged lightly at her cloak again, looking worried. “A-are you okay? I th-think we should get going now.”

“Yes… I’m sure… they will catch up…” she said in reply, looking back in the direction of the avalanche and only half believing her own words. Even if she could go back, what use would she be? Nothing but dead weight, that was for sure. Standing, she took the other Snorunts hand again and began to wind her way down a trial that was obviously used very rarely. Best to try to avoid Pokemon of any kind while she was trying to get her little friend to his home. She wasn’t sure how well she would hold up in any sort of confrontation…

>->->->-O-<-<-<-<

For an hour they had been fighting non-stop, taking out Mightyena left and right and getting severely beat up in the process. Scratches and blood marked both of their bodies and they knew they were soon going to succumb to the ranks of the wolves. There was just no way that they could go on. Even so, neither party opened their mouths to give any last words of forgiveness and friendship. Waiting for the end to come, something unexpected happened.

A huge icy gust slammed across the Valley shortly followed by a vicious Blizzard. The Mightyena howled in fear and those that had managed to keep their footing turned tail and ran. They knew when royalty had come and they were not the kind to mess with the Ice Bird’s wishes. Yes, far above the blue body of Articuno could be seen, disappearing over a high mountain top. Huddling close together, Sinny and Zerca used the cover of the avalanche created hill to wait out the remainder of the storm.

When the winds had died down and only a gentle snowfall was happening, they stared around in shock. What had once been a doubtless ending of life had turned into a moment of pure luck. “We… we’re alive.” Zerca stated bluntly. Even Sinny couldn’t think of any words to describe the surprise he felt. Staring at each other, they suddenly burst into hysterical laughter, only to shut their traps when they mountain grumbled threateningly.

“We should try to see where Rune and that kid went to.” Sinistrad finally said, gazing off in the direction they had last been seen. Zerca nodded her agreement and carefully they began to dig a tunnel through the snow across their path. It was safer than going over or finding another way around. Once through, they tried to find the tracks of the Snorunts but the Blizzard and erased all traces of the way they had went. There was no clue hinting them in the direction they should take and so again they were ‘lost’. “I think we should take the most direct route. If she’s still alive, she’ll certainly meet us towards the end.” The Croconaw glared fiercely at the mention that their partner might be dead but agreed.

Wandering around blind was a recipe for disaster in a place they knew next to nothing about. Even if she hated following his orders, he was logical and they had no other choice. Not even catching sight of the tiny trail the Snorunt’s had taken, they went straight down the beaten path, carefully on the look out for any more danger.

A good point was that no more Mightyena or Poochyena had dared attack them ever since Articuno’s fleeting appearance. That pack must have spread the word that they were to be left alone but that didn’t mean other Pokemon might have the guts to try to attack them. They didn’t not speak, both choosing to either look out across the icy lands or shoot glares at each other.

Zerca blamed herself for not being able to take care of Rune but mentally blamed the Ariados even more for being an idiot and jumping the gun. Who in their right minds would attack a bunch of pup anyway? That was like commiting suicide!

Sinistrad on the other hand, was not blaming anyone. He was simply brooding over his idiotic team and their need to be heroic and do all things good. Really, that Moon Guild would suit him much better but for now… for now he was getting money.

On their way they came across a Smoochum who seemed to become enamored with Sinistrad. The spider shot a cocky grin at Zerca but immediately regretted it when the bratty thing got a Sweet Kiss onto his sharp mandibles. Stumbling around in confusion, he tried to attack the Smoochum but missed horribly and ended up Poison Jabbin Zerca in the jaw.

“The hell!?” She screeched, punting the Smoochum so hard it flew into Sinny’s face and knocked both of them flat on their backs. The kissing Pokemon was down for the count but Sinny was just pissed off now.

“b***h!” Once he had regained his footing he fling himself at her, intent on giving her a nasty Bug Bite but came up short and instead wobbled on his many legs. The huge fight from earlier had left him weaker than he would have wanted and it was completely insulting. “Don’t you dare-“ he began to say as the Croconaw marched towards him.

Opening her mouth as if to give the spider a vicious chomp, she paused and groaned. It seemed she too was still suffering from fatigue and pain. To be quite frank, it wold be a miracle if they managed to get out of this place without another fight.

Resting a few moments on the freezing ground, they eventually hauled themselves to their feet and began towards their destination once more. Things were quiet. Far too quiet for either Pokemon’s likings in fact. There were no birds chirping or the occasion crunch of snow being crushed beneath paws, hooves, ect. It was extremely odd and had both Pokemon in a somewhat twitchy and paranoid mood. They had already faced one huge peril today. What else was going to be throw at them?

Thankfully, nothing else popped out at them and they were able to continue in relative peace. If only they knew what lie ahead, they might have been better prepared. But only few Pokemon were gifted with the ability to dip into the future and they were not among them.

The sun occasionally managed to push its way through the heavy cloud cover, dappling the earth below with random touches of light. It was pleasant to be able to walk so freely and soon enough, both Pokemon had lost their wariness. Having kept up guard for more than an hour, they figured if something bad was going to happen, it would have happened already.

“Hmm, do you think the rewards are going to be worth all this trouble?” The Ariados eventually remarked in that pompous tone of his.

Zerca twitched a bit but forced herself to maintain her temper. “Maybe. Depends on your view. And try giving a damn about your missing teammate for once!”

“Really? I think it depends on effort to payment ratio, regardless of feelings.” He replied with a bored tone, ignoring the comment about Rune. For getting so beat up, he was beginning to think he had been a bit gypped.

As the two continued quarreling, a shape on the cliff shifted. It was huge and didn’t look nice in the least way but seeing as Zerca and Sinny were a tad preoccupied they took no notice of the threat. A choice they would soon come to regret.

While they were arguing they came to the meeting point. It was a miracle they had made it through without any more serious fighting. This had given them a bit more time to recooperate, but not nearly enough to fight off the enemy that was soon to come. “Well, it looks like we’re here. Might as well sit down and wait. If she’s not back by sunset though, we’re leaving.” Sinny stated.

At this, Zerca spun around as if to slap the s**t out of the Ariados but froze, eyes wide and mouth open. They were in big trouble. Trying to make a dive for escape, she failed and a huge cage made of ice fell down over them. Deep rumbling laughter sounded as a lone Piloswine showed itself. “Got me some quirky ones this time. Dun worry. You’ll be dead by tomorrow.” He assured them as if this was a comforting thought.

Unable to understand what was going on or how they had managed to overlook such a big Pokemon, Sinny and Zerca collapsed into the snow. They had till tomorrow to escape or else they would face their demise. For what reason? Neither could answer. Only the bulky Piloswine would be able to do that and he seemed content enough to lay over the cage and keep a close eye on the Croconaw and Ariados to make sure they weren’t getting away anytime soon. His boss paid good money for the hides and carapace’s of outsiders after all. Zerca had beautiful scales that were sure to make mountains and even Sinny had a uniqueness about him. Yes, fine contributions indeed…

>->->->-O-<-<-<-<

Meanwhile, Rune and Arin were continuing their quiet walk along the path. It had grown precariously narrow and both were double-checking their footing before even daring to put their full weight on any section of the path. Neither had spoken for some time but they shared a comfortable silence. Snorunts in general didn’t speak very often, choosing instead to understand each other through subtle movements and the way each other moved.

Just as they got to the most dangerous part of the trial, a powerful Blizzard came out of no where, whipping unsheltered Pokemon with the strong wings that came with it. Rune had managed to cling to a nearby rock but she soon became aware of the lack of tiny black hands clutching at her cloak. A scream tore it’s way out of Arin’s throat as he was pushed over the edge of the sheer drop. Without assistance, he would plummet and meet his end against the uncaring clusters of rocks that lay far below.

Scared as she was, Rune wouldn’t let that happen. Forcing herself to let go of the little outcropping that had kept her safe, she flung herself after Arin. As they dropped, she managed to catch hold of the other Snorunt’s hand and with her free hand, grab onto the edge of the cliff. There they hung, getting battered by wind and snow, each lessening gust threatening to break Rune’s hold. When at last the storm died down, they could do nothing but shiver; Arin in fear, and Rune due to the strain of holding them both up.

Being a weak female, there was no way she could pull herself up along with Arin. She knew this full well and accepted that she would eventually lose her grip but her new little friend didn’t. He looked up at her with pleading eyes and even though both of their lives hung in the balance, she could muster the strength from her tired body. “R-Rune? Wh-when are you gonna get us u-up?” he stuttered, shaking again with a new bout of terror.

The Snorunt didn’t answer, choosing instead to close her eyes and wish away the sound of the boy’s cries. Slowly everything grew quiet, even the sounds of Arin’s increasingly paniced voice. It was here, in this moment of silence that her salvation struck her hard. The Good Doctor’s sharp-tooth grin flashed across her minds eye, startling her. Was this her life beginning to flash before her eyes? But it couldn’t be… they were all bits and pieces of the kindness the Doctor had shown her. Suddenly, letting herself die didn’t seem so easy anymore.

Adrenaline pumped through her small body as she thought about just how much the tall Sableye meant to her. It was suddenly clear. Love. She loved him. Even if he couldn’t return her feelings, she now knew that she loved him. ‘I… I can’t die without telling him!’ she thought, strength returning to her. Pulling herself a centimeter up at a time, she clung onto her mental image. When she was high enough, she bit into the edge of the cliff and Arin climbed up her body and onto safety. Weakening quickly now, Arin grabbed her by the cloak and hauled her up alongside him. Together they lay sprawled in the snow and panting at the close call. Once both of their breathing had returned to normal, Rune said with a quiet chuckle, “Shall we… get you home now?”

With a grateful nod, Arin got to his feet and the two Snorunt carefully wound their way up. Not another soul met them along the way although they caught sight of shy Snorunts fleeing on rare occasions. In no time at all, they were within calling distance of their destination. They did not expect what was waiting there for them. As they turned the final corner, they came to face to face with the great ice cage and the giant of a Piloswine. Arin opened his mouth to scream but Rune clapped a hand over his mouth to muffle it.

Zerca and Sinny lay dejectedly within, having exhausted themselves earlier in an attempt to break the contraption and set themselves free. Silently gesturing for the other Snorunt to stay hidden, she found herself turning to face the first real fight of her life. Swiftly she padded her way across the open ground and took covered a few feet behind the large ice ground type. If she could just open the cage and free her teammates, she would stand a better chance. Alone, there was no way she could defeat it.

Tip-toeing closer, she wrapped her hands around the ice and began the process of weakening the solid water. It would take a while, but it was the most effective way to release her friends. Unfortunately, just as the bars were on the verge of becoming brittle enough to break with flick of a wrist the monster awoke. Seeing the little Snorunt tampering with his contraption, he flew into a rage. “Little b***h!” he squealed, jumping off and trying to Body Slam her.

Narrowly she managed to get out of the way. All of the commotion had also awoken the half-asleep Sinistrad and Zerca. They stared in amazement as Rune dashed away from the insane Piloswine but with each passing moment, his Headbutts grew closer and closer to hitting their mark. “We have to help her!” Zerca cried, looking around frantically. Sinistrad too was looking around to see if there was any new way out. As one, their eyes landed on the thinner bars Rune had been working on. Glancing at each other, they began attacking the weak point with all their strength.

Meanwhile, Rune had finally run out of luck. Sharp tusks dug into her side as the Piloswine tossed her into the air with another Headbutt. Curled up in a ball, she bore with the pain, releasing only the tinies of gasps whenever she got hit. Eventually, she knew she had to fight back. Zerca and Sinistrad wouldn’t get out in time.

Concentrating all her power, she blew a huge cloud of Sleep Powder into the Piloswine’s face. It halted, staggered a bit and then fell dead asleep. Plunking into the snow next to the giant, Rune stared up into the sky. It was nice, letting the cold numb away the cuts and bruises she had sustained. Moments later, Zerca and Sinny broke out and gathered around her, using their badge to teleport back to the safety of the Guild.

Silas & Jessica & Tommy

"Yeah, our first mission!" Silas exclaimed.
She was being followed by Jessica, who was to accompany Silas on the mission while Mara watched the twins.
"So, what're we doing?" The Riolu asked as she flipped her blade up into the air and caught it multiple time.
"Some poor Skitty is stuck in the Frozen Valley, and needs our help to escape," The Sentret replied.
"... Awwww~" Jessica said.
A Skitty in distress, was there anything more adorable?
The two Pokemon of Team Gravity gathered up their things and proceeded to leave.

Jessica and Silas stood on a peak, looking down on the Frozen Valley.
"Craaaaaap... That looks cold..." Silas whined.
Jessica could only agree.
That poor Skitty must be freezing to death down there!
"Come on, let's go find that Skitty before he becomes a cutesickle," Jessica said.
With that, they started their decent into the Frozen Valley.

Not far into their journey, they were confronted by a territorial Swinub.
"Hey, have you seen a little Skitty anywhere?" Silas asked.
"EAT MY a**s!!!" The Swinub replied.
Neither of the two Guild Pokemon could think of any rebuttal.
That was just.... ******** weird.
The strange Swinub then charged at the both.
Silas jumped to the left and Jessica jumped to the right.
Doing a little flip, Silas slammed her poofy tail into the Swinub.
This stunned the Pokemon long enough for Jessica to slam a Force Palm into it.
The Ice type was out like a light.
"What a creep..." Jessica muttered as they left.

--Meanwhile--

The little Skitty sniffled as he looked around.
He was so cold, he had taken refuge in a small cave he had found.
"I wish someone would come help me soon..." He mewled softly.
"Oh, you've found somebody.... Heheheh..."
The Skitty turned around with a yelp and found himself staring into a pair of dark, evil eyes.

--Back to Team Gravity--

"Wait a second..." Jessica said as she held out a paw.
"I sense something..."
Silas remained quiet and let the Riolu work her magic.
Jessica slowly unsheathed her dagger.
"Jump up!" She then called.
Silas leaped up into the air, narrowly dodging a Bite attack from a charging Poochyena.
Jessica quickly swung around and jabbed, taking out one of the dog Pokemon's eyes with her dagger.
As the Poochyena yelped with pain, Jessica finished it off with a Force Palm.

After moving on, the two were attacked by a Snorunt.
As the Ice Pokemon tried to attack, Silas exhaled a large Fire Blast.
The poor Snorunt didn't stand a chance, and was incinerated.
"Hey, let's take a quick breather, alright?" Jessica said.
Silas agreed, and they set up a little camp for the time being.

--Back to Tommy--

The small Skitty opened his eyes.
He was shivering, and he couldn't see anything.
"Wh-Where am I?!" He whined.
"Shut up, nasty cat!" A voice snapped.
Tommy felt himself pushed forward.
Suddenly, a blindfold was removed from his eyes, and the light glared.
"Well, well, well... You found me a little Skitty, eh?" A dark voice said.
"Yes, sir. He seemed like he could be a potential asset," Another Pokemon replied.
There was then a chuckle.
"The Skitty really puts the 'a**' in 'asset...' Lock him up, and get everything ready...
Tommy was then knocked out from behind.

--Team Gravity--

After a little while of resting, Jessica and Silas packed up and were on their way.
Eventually, they came across a little punk of a Poochyena.
"Hey you, have you seen a Skitty anywhere?" Silas asked.
The Poochyena scoffed.
"Yeah, I seen a Skitty. But I ain't tellin' you where he is," the little brat replied.
Silas wasn't going to have, that.
With a spin, she slammed her tail across the Poochyena's face.
When the Poochyena recovered, he found a dagger to his throat.
"Tell us where he is, or I'll cut your throat," Jessica hissed.
The Poochyena gulped.
"H-He's at the Icy Chill Club, in a village not far from here! Please don't tell anybody I told you, they'll kill me!" The Poochyena pleaded.
"Thank you. But, we can't let you tell anybody that we're here. I'm sorry," Jessica said.
She then plunged her dagger into the Poochyena's heart.
"Let's go..." Jessica said as she flicked blood off of her dagger and sheathed it.

--Tommy--

When Tommy woke up, he found himself chained up in a dungeon of some sort.
The Skitty whimpered and curled up into a ball.
"Ah, you're awake!" A voice hissed.
Tommy looked up and saw a Mightyena outside his cell.
"Please, let me out!" The Skitty mewled.
"Heheheh, I hope you know how to dance, pretty boy," The Mightyena cackled before he walked away.
"W-Why are you doing this to me...?"

--Team Gravity--

The Icy Chill Club stood out among everything else in the village, it was the only building that wasn't made of solid ice.
When they tried to enter, they were blocked by a Piloswine.
"You kids are too young to come in," the Ice type Pokemon said.
"I think you're gonna let us in, anyways," Silas snapped.
The Piloswine huffed and let loose and Icy Wind.
Silas replied with a Fire Blast.
That attack, combined with a Force Palm from Jessica, put to Piloswine down for a good while.
When they entered the club, they decided to split up.

--Tommy--

Backstage smelled of drugs and alcohol.
Tommy hated it, but he knew he had no choice.
After a few moments, he was kicked onto the stage as music began to play.
Tears were streaming down his eyes as he began to dance.
Many buff males were staring at him, and it made him very uncomfortable.
After a few minutes, a Mightyena jumped onto the stage.
"Let's go, b***h boy," The dog barked.
Tommy whimpered as he was picked up and carried into a private room.
He was plopped on the ground very roughly.
"Alright, b***h boy. You know the position."
Tommy whimpered and shook his head.
"N-No! I won't" He cried.
The Mightyena growled and pounced.
Before he made any contact, he was pushed back by... something.
He went to charge again, when his throat suddenly opened up, spilling blood onto the floor.
A Riolu stood nearby, wiping blood off a dagger.
"You're the Skitty we were sent to get, right?" Jessica said as she sheathed her dagger.
Tommy wailed and jumped up into the Riolu's arms.
Jessica let out an "Awwwww~" and hugged the Skitty.

It was then that the door burst open.
Standing there was another Mightyena, the boss of the club.
"What do you think you're doing with MY PROPERTY?!" He roared.
Jessica tried to put Tommy down, but the Skitty wouldn't let go.
He was just too damn scared.
Jessica was defenseless.
As the boss was about to pounce, he suddenly burst into flames.
"GYAAAAAAAAAH!!!!" He roared as he ran out of the room.
The next time anybody ever saw him, he was just a pile of ashes.
Silas stood there with a grin.
"Perfect timing," Jessica said with a grin.
At that, they all left, Jessica carrying the terrified Skitty the whole time.

As they returned to the guild, the Skitty handed over a measly 50 PD and asked if he could join.

Shortly after an extremely foulmouthed Swinub entered, also wanting to join.

Silas & Jessica & Tommy

Silas nodded to Tommy.
"Stay with us, we don't want you to have to go back there again," She said with a smiled.
Tommy squealed with joy and jumped into the Sentret's arms, nuzzling her.
Both Silas and Jessica were "Awwwwwww~"-ing as they all left.

As the three exhausted adventurers returned to the guild, a bag was waiting for them with 'Team Amsel' written on a tag tied around it. Inside were Arin's Dawn Stone and Ice Beam TM.

Soon after, two Pokemon appeared; a Poochyena and a Smoochum, both intent on joining.

Zerca was carrying Rune ho had passed out. Thankfully none were seriously hurt and all they would need is a long day of sleep and rest. Sinistrad lingered behind to pick up the rewards and b***h slap both potential recruits. That was his way of saying '******** off'.

Ally + Dante + Rosario + Meme

The day had been good for Ally. Right now, she was curled up outside with her eyes closed, enjoying the nice sun. She was thinking that nothing could possibly ruin this day – until a crumpled up ball of paper hit her in the back of the head. Her eyes shot open and she looked around. Rose was standing behind her, his arms folded in front of his chest.
“C'mon, lazy. We're doing a mission,” he said picking up the wad of paper he had thrown at her. He straightened it out and held it up for Ally to read. A rescue mission? She groaned. She got to her feet, read to go, when a certain annoying Mudkip ran into her headfirst, tackling her to the ground.
“i want to go 2” Meme said with her usual brainless smile.
“Hell no!” Ally yelled, pushing Meme off of her. Dante ran up, trying to catch his breath.
“Meme... is a... fast runner...” he wheezed out before sitting down.
“plz plz plz plz plz?” Meme asked, pouting at Ally. Before Ally could shout out some curse words at the Eevee, Rose covered her mouth with his hand and smiled.
“Let's all go as a team~” he suggested.
“Fine with me,” Dante said, finally breathing normally. Ally rolled her eyes. As long as she wasn't stuck alone with Meme, it was fine by her. Rose grabbed on to one of Dante's claws and pulled him to his feet.
“Let's go! Frozen Valley, here we come!”

----

"Why is it so cold?" Ally whined as she walked behind Rose through a slightly thicker patch of trees.
“becuz its snowin,” Meme replied with a smile. She was following right behind Ally, pawing at Ally's tail every few steps. Dante was following behind her.
“Why are we here anyway?” Ally asked, glancing around. Rose sighed, not even bothering to turn back to face her when he spoke.
"There's a Starly out here that's most likely frozen to near-death." Ally rolled her eyes. She repeated in her head that it was better to be here, since if she had stayed, Dante would've made Meme stay with her. And Ally didn't want to imagine being stuck with her. Ally was so lost in thought that she was unable to notice the rather large Piloswine in front of her until it was too late and she ran into it, face first. The Piloswine let out a low growling sound, and Ally quickly backed up.
“S-sorry 'bout that,” she said. But instead of replying, the Piloswine charged head first at Ally, who was barely able to jump out of the way in time. It slowed to a halt, then quickly turned to face Ally again. It charged again, but before it got to close, Ally let out a Fire Blast, knocking it backwards into a tree. Meme let out a rather lame Water gun, which only succeeded in pissing the Piloswine off. Dante hit the Piloswine from the side with a Fire spin. The Piloswine growled and turned itself toward Dante. Just as it was about to charge, Rose, who had been protected behind a tree up until now, ran up and used an Ice Punch, successfully knocking the Piloswine out. Ally glanced over to Rose, who looked to be in an equally bad mood now.
“Let's hurry up and find the client,” Ally said, starting to walk further into the snowstorm. Rose nodded before running to catch up to her. Meme seemed to preoccupied poking the Piloswine with a stick to notice her team was leaving. With a sigh, Dante grabbed onto Meme and pulled her along.
“wait up gaiz!” Meme called to Rose and Ally.

After what seemed like hours of walking through the snow, Rose stopped.
“Do you hear that?” he asked in a whisper. Ally looked around. Sure enough, there was the squish of snow caused by footsteps in the snow. And by the sound of it, there were a lot of whatever it was. Suddenly, the group was surrounded by a small army of Snover.
“Can we help you guys with something?” Rose asked the group.
“'Fraid not. You'll be coming with us.” Ally growled quietly at the Snover, then let out a Fire blast, managing to take out two of the Snover who were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Getting the idea, Dante crashed into another one with Flame wheel. But before they could take anymore out, they were each hit on the back of the head, knocking them all out.

----

When Ally opened her eyes, she found her team trapped in some sort of dark jail cell. It seemed a bit colder in here than the outside, too. She squinted her eyes and realized the whole cell seemed to be made of ice. She poked Dante, who was still asleep, with her paw. He rubbed his eyes and sat up. She silently motioned to two guard Snorunt that were facing away from them outside of the cell. Dante nodded and woke Meme and Rose motioning for them to stay silent. With a quick nod to Ally, Dante ran forward and melted the bars of the cell with Fire Spin. He stepped to the side, giving Ally the room to fry the surprised guards with Fire Blast.
“Good job, partner,” Dante said to Ally with a smile on his face. Ally smiled back, then turned back to Rose and Meme.
“Let's get out of here,” she said with a grin. Without another word, the team ran out of the cell and down an icy hallway.

It wasn't too long before they ran into more trouble. Two Poochyena were waiting for them with rather evil looking smiles on their faces.
“Goin' somewhere?” One of them said with a grin. Not even bothering to respond, Meme tackled into the first one, while Rose grabbed the one one in his back jaws and chomping down on it, until there was a sickening crunch. He dropped it on the ground and used Ice Punch on the Pochyena that Meme had attacked. It fell to the ground, out like a light. He turned back to his team to give them a smirk before he continued down the hall, the others following close behind.

It seemed that they could finally see the light at the end of the tunnel when they were, yet again, surrounded, this time by a large group of Mightyena. If they group tried to attack, they would easily taken down by the large number of Mightyena. The Mightyena slowly herded the team into a large room, where, a slightly larger Mightyena waited. The Mightyena walked up to the group and frowned.
“May I ask what you were doing in our territory?” the Mightyena asked, while the others backed up to block the entrance of the room, many of them leaving until there were only five left, including the leader.
“We-We're a rescue team. We were just looking for a Starly who needed our help,” Dante replied.
The Mightyena smirked. “Well, that's all fine and dandy, but the boys here could use a snack. And we don't get guild brats that often in these parts.”
Ally frowned up at the Mightyena. “What's that supposed to mean?” she asked.
The Mightyena let out a barky laugh. “I think they can clarify things,” he said nodding his head to the Mightyena guarding the exit. They were now crouched into attack positions and growling. “Sick 'em, boys.” the head Mightyena said with a grin, backing up and out of the action.
The first Mightyena jumped to attack them, only to be met with Roses fist in an Ice Punch. Meme ran into it with Tackle, sending it flying across the room.
The second was hit by Ally's Shadow Claw, surprising it enough to give time for Dante to use Fire Spin, knocking out the Mightyena.
The third Mightyena met a similar fate to the first Rose grabbed its tail in his back jaws and sent it flying into the wall, where it hit with a sickening crunch.
The fourth and final Mightyena stepped up slowly, but was knocked out in one hit when met by Ally's Fire Blast.
When the last Mightyena fell, the leader stepped forward. With a chuckle he looked across the members of Team Harmony.
“You fight well, brats. But can you beat me?” With a smile he lowered himself into a crouch. Screaming bloody murder, Meme ran out of the room as fast as her stubby legs could carry her.
“There's no way in hell we can catch her, so stay focused!” Dante yelled. The Mightyena took the opportunity while they were distracted to grab onto one of Rose's arms and fling him across the room. Ally then slammed into him with a Quick Attack, knocking him to the ground. Dante then attacked his with Faint Attack, followed up by Ally with Shadow Claw.
Panting heavily, the Mightyena limped back a few steps. “You brats put up a good fight. I suppose I'll let you live,” he said, before walking out of the room and down the hall. As soon as they were sure that no one else was coming, Ally and Dante ran over to help Rose.
“I'm fine, I'm fine,” he muttered working his way onto his feet. “Let's go hurry up and find Meme.” Ally and Dante agreed, then the three of them ran out of the hideout and back into the snowstorm.

Meme had been running for about five minutes straight, when something caught her eye. Upon closer inspection, she discovered that it was Starly frozen in a block of ice, with only its head free.
“hallo thar” Meme said to the Starly with a smile.
“What the hell is wrong with you?! Get me out of here, Dumbass!” the Starly said angrily.
Meme frowned “dats not nice. u shuld be ashamed”
“Shut up and free me, retarded Mudkip!” The Starly shouted!
“ok” the little Mudkip mumbled. She sat down and contemplated how to go about freeing the little Starly. She didn't have the strength to crack the ice, so she'd have to melt it. Suddenly, an idea popped into her idiotic little head. She would lick the ice until it melted!
Little Meme stuck out her tongue and touched the ice, and, much to her surprise, her tongue got stuck.
“You ******** moron!” the Starly squawked, “That's like touching your tongue to a metal pole on a snow day! Your tongue gets stuck to it!”
Meme let out a shriek and fell backwards, pulling the frozen Starly with her, until she was on her back, and it was stuck on her stomach.
But before she got the chance to start panicking, the rest of the team finally found her. Dante ran over to her pulling her back up onto her feet, but with her tongue still stuck. “What the heck?” he muttered when he saw her tongue stuck. Meme mumbled something that sounded like gibberish, but the Starly cut in.
“This dumbass licked the ice and her tongue got stuck!” the Starly shouted. Ally, just noticing the Starly sighed and walked over.
“Are you the one that asked for our help?” Dante asked while Rose held up the sheet of paper from the Bulletin Board.
“Of course, morons! NOW SAVE ME!” he cried. Ally contemplated using her fire attack to melt the ice, but it would probably burn the client and Meme's tongue.
“Meme, use Water gun,” she suggested.
Luckily, it worked as Ally had hoped, and instead of her Water Gun freezing instantly, it slowly melted the ice. When Meme and the Starly were finally free, Rose walked over and smiled.
“So this is mission complete?” he asked, ready to be done with this.
“I guess so,” Dante replied.
And with that, Ally pulled out her explorer badge and teleported her team and the Starly back to the guild.

As they returned to the guild, the Starly glared at Meme and threw the measly amount of PD - plus some weird Sharp Beak thing - and flew the heck out of there, spouting swears the entire way.

Not much later, a Snover and a Mightyena showed up wanting to join.

Ally + Dante + Rosario + Meme

Meme, oblivious as ever, waved goodbye to the Starly with a huge smile on her face. “bai bai, angry gai!” she called to the Starly. Ally picked up the small amount of PD and the beak-thing off the ground, mumbling to herself about the client being a cheapskate. “YOU! You're that a*****e Mightyena leader who attacked us!” Rose shouted, pointing an accusing finger towards the Mightyena. “That I am. But I'd also be a good addition to your weakling team. Whadda say?” the Mightyena said with a smirk. “Fine by me,” Dante said quickly before Rose could reject that offer. The Mightyena smiled and walked forward, while the Snover walked away sadly. “The name's Christian, by the way. Try not to hold me back, brats.” Before Rose could shout something profane, Dante grabbed his arm, and Team Harmony headed back to get some rest.

In Progress. . .
1 / 18

The darkness that enveloped these mountains was astounding. Team Tora’s mission took place at night and since they didn’t have much of an advantage over the cold mountains, things were beginning to look a bit more violent than what they had first assumed.
“Sherbert, Melanie, and Mr. Febrero; I’m going to go ahead and scout out. You three wait here and wait for my signal.” Tora stared down at her now panting team. Everything had been going fine until an avalanche nearly wiped them all out. Tora, still feeling it was her duty to remain un-startled by this unfortunate turn of events, decided to run ahead and scan the area.
This is where our mission log takes place. Three hours into the mission and not a single sign of the missing Poochyena. It seemed as though if they weren’t scouting for the Pokémon thief then they were dodging avalanches or avoiding snow-storms. Such was to be expected since they pretty much were challenging fate by going on a mission not too keen to their type.
Tora walked away into the snow-storm that was beginning to bury the rest of the team.
Once she was surely out of sight, Mr. Febrero spoke up; “Well, Shebert and I seem to be the only ones handling this fine. Melanie can you stand?” Mr. Febrero turned to Melanie who was coughing rather violently as the snow slammed down upon her. He knew that since both Sherbert and him were had some ice-type inside them, this was nothing more than a little rain but to Melanie who didn’t and in fact was weak to it; this was more like fire rain.
“S-Stand? I-I don’t know.” Melanie struggled for a moment before finally bringing herself to her small feet and weakly looking at Mr. Febrero who looked more than concerned for her safety.
“We’re not too far from the guild so if you’d like to leave then feel free to.”
“No! I’m fine, really. Synthesis!” Though the sun wasn’t out; Melanie could still pick up small spouts of sunlight which restored all the wounds she was receiving from the snow-storm. “See! I’m fine…”
“You better be! I don’t want to wait for you to get better before we go on ahead okay?” Sherbert rolled herself up to Melanie and gave her a pathetic look before turning to Mr. Febrero.
“It’s fine Sherbert. We can’t move until Tora gets back anyways. Speaking of which where did she go?” Mr. Febrero gazed into the direction that Tora had set off in; in hopes of seeing her outline.
“She went to check things out up ahead. She should be back soon.” Shebert let out s sigh before turning back to Melanie as though she might have something to add, who in return just shook her head. “I see. Well, it looks like we’re going to wait!”
