Gemstone Mines
Mines near the Desert Ruins, they are abandoned as of now, but once were a place that harvest evolutionary stones and because of this many Pokemon that require stones to evolve have gathered here.
Deep in the mines, the shaft breaks into a room lined with steel. Its walls are covered in braille, and within its centre is a sculpture made of pure hard metal... Floors: 30 Wild Pokemon: Vulpix, Eevee, Shelder, Lombre, Poliwhirl, Gloom, Nuzleaf, Skitty, Clefairy, Jigglypuff, Togetic, Kirlia, Happiny, Sableye, Diglett.

Tavian && Cael Peering through the entrance to the abandoned mine, the two little pokemon stood in silence for a minute or two, simply staring into the ominous darkness and not making a move to go in. It definitely had a creepy atmosphere, as one could feel the slightest breeze of cold air emanating from the dungeon, and adding that to the near-total darkness... ugh. Finally though, Cael scowled and drew himself up to his full tiny height, striding forward towards the dungeon entrance with a determined expression. "Well we're never gonna get anywhere just standin' here, let's go." he declared, and Tavian tore his eyes away from the darkness to blink in surprise at the Pichu, who had already almost vanished into the shadows. "You idiot," he called, jogging through the entrance to catch up, "You can't just charge into a dungeon like that, there might be--"
"EEAAUGH!"
Screeching to a halt and whirling around to find the source of Cael's scream, Tavian darted around a corner and found the Pichu stumbling around with a Shellder clamped tightly over his head, screaming muffled curses at the top of his little lungs. "Wild pokemon..." the Riolu sighed, finishing his earlier sentence and starting over to where Cael was struggling to remove his new hat/mask combo. Growling underneath the Shellder, the Pichu let loose a ThunderShock to zap the wild pokemon, and it's hold on his head weakened with a small yelp of pain. Then when Tavian walked over and smacked it with a well-placed Force Palm it flew clean off of Cael and into the wall, unconscious. The Pichu sighed, relieved, but a scowl returned to his face when his partner calmly turned and whacked him upside the head, causing him to glare up at him angrily. "Ow! What was that for?!" "For being stupid. Now come on, we have to keep going." Grumbling, Cael folded his arms across his chest and followed Tavian further into the dungeon, looking around apprehensively as it got darker and darker until he could barely see anything at all. Man, how were they supposed to find that missing item if there was no light?
Now that the dungeon had become almost pitch-black, the pair was mostly feeling their way along, keeping one paw on a wall and taking each step with great care; but even so they'd both nearly toppled into deep mining shafts and stubbed their toes on unseen rocks. This was getting dangerous, they had to find some kind of light before they got themselves killed. Fortunately though, just as Tavian was starting to consider going back and trying the mission again later, Cael ran smack into some big metal object, and when he tumbled to the floor he discovered a small old-fashioned oil lamp sitting there. While the Pichu groaned about the stupid thing he'd run into, Tavian hurried over and knelt down to investigate the lamp; it still seemed to be in good condition, so... Quickly grinding the two armor plates on his forearms together to create a spark, the Riolu grinned as the lamp flickered to life and brought with it a small circle of light. Finally, now they could see!
Tavian took hold of the lamp and got to his feet, lifting the light to look around and figure out just where they were, and he hesitated a moment upon seeing what it was that Cael had run into. A big old minecar. Staring for a moment, the Riolu then looked down to the rails the car was sitting on and followed their path with his eyes until they vanished into the darkness of a deep tunnel sloping down further into the mine. "Huh, well now we know which way to go." Cael remarked, stepping forward and following Tavian's gaze down the tracks. Not waiting for an answer, he then turned and strode back over to the minecar, tapping it with one paw. "And we can just ride this thing down to the bottom, save ourselves some time." At that, Tavian turned and frowned skeptically at the rusty old cart, glancing down along the tracks again before shaking his head with a sigh. "No way, we don't know how what's down there. What if we rode in that thing and there was a rock blocking the tracks, or a bridge that had rotted away?" he said, and Cael cringed a little at the thought of them smashing into a boulder or plummeting into a bottomless chasm. "Oh... fine then, we'll walk." the Pichu grumbled, hiding his worry with a scowl as he trotted back over to his partner.
The duo made their way cautiously down the sloping tracks, Tavian holding the lamp up to light the way, and despite their creepy surroundings things seemed to be going okay; the railway seemed to be in remarkably good shape for it's age. However, things can never go so smoothly for very long, and after a couple minutes of walking Cael's large ears twitched and he stopped with a frown. What was that sound...? "Hey," he said, and Tavian stopped as well to turn to him in confusion. "You hear that?"
Frowning, the Riolu paused and strained his ears to pick up whatever it was that his partner was hearing, and after a few seconds he finally got it as well. Huh, it was like a faint rumble... a little squeaky, and getting louder... Tavian's eyes widened as he realized what the sound was, and quickly held up the lantern to see the mining cart they'd left behind rolling down the tracks after them, picking up speed and gaining fast. He groaned and Cael swore, before both of them whirled around and started sprinting down the tracks in a panic, desperately trying to keep from getting run over by the cart as it continued to get closer.
A sudden cackle of laughter sounded from behind as the pair continued to run for their lives, and when Tavian glanced back over his shoulder it became clear how the mining car had started it's mad chase: three Sableye--one with red gems, one with blue, and the other with green--sat in the cart, grinning and laughing maniacally as it hurtled on down the track. Great... Well, just running like this probably wouldn't save them, as the cart kept getting faster and faster, so they'd have to take matters into their own hands--er, paws, whatever.
Tavian frowned and turned his eyes forward again, bringing the lamp he was still holding close to his chest to keep it from breaking with what he was about to do, then in one fluid movement he leapt into the air, backflipped, and landed neatly in the speeding mining car, right in the middle of the three startled Sableye. Straightening up and setting down the lamp on the bottom of the cart, a small smirk crossed the Riolu's face as he regarded the Sableye. "Hi there." he said calmly, pounding one fisted paw into the palm of the other. First one, then the second, and finally all three Sableye went flying out of the car with yelps of pain, disappearing into the darkness as the cart continued hurtling helter-skelter down the track with poor Cael still sprinting just ahead of it. "Jump in!" Tavian called to the Pichu, and Cael glared at him over his shoulder as he continued to run, too busy panting to call out an insult. Stupid Riolu, thinking everyone could be as acrobatic as him... Well he'd show him!
Taking a deep breath, the Pichu leapt into the air, valiantly trying to repeat Tavian's stunt... and was instantly slammed face-first into the front of the mine car as it sped along. Tavian winced a little at the painful-sounding thud, then leaned over the front of the cart with a sigh to grab Cael by the scruff of the neck and pull him up into the car, where he sat in a daze with stars dancing in front of his eyes. Okay, note to self: never. do that. again. Once he'd regained his senses, Cael looked around quietly as the cart continued hurtling on through the darkness, then turned to Tavian with a small frown. "Hey..." "Hm?" "How do we... stop this thing?" "...I don't actually know." The pair sat in silence for a moment as they continued rattling along, then in unison they both leapt to their feet and started scrambling around the cart in a panic, searching for some kind of braking mechanism, but there was none to be found. Tavian glanced down at the tracks and immediately decided that they were now going way too fast to jump out without killing themselves, and just as he turned to keep looking for a way to stop the cart, he caught sight of something he really didn't want to see. Staring blankly at the boulder sitting on the tracks just ahead, the Riolu only just had time to curse despairingly before the cart slammed into the rock, flinging the two pokemon out of the car and clean over the boulder, right into a deep mining shaft. With nothing in reach to grab onto, the pair tumbled screaming down into the dark, falling... falling...
"Oh dear, are you alright?" Tavian blinked blearily as he flickered back into consciousness, eyes slowly focusing on the Togetic standing over him. What the...? What was this place? Last thing he remembered was him and Cael falling into that hole... The Riolu suddenly bolted upright at remembering Cael had fallen as well, startling the Togetic, but when he quickly looked around he found the Pichu lying fast asleep a few feet away. Baffled, he finally took in just where he was: a small chamber of some kind with rough crystals jutting out of the walls here and there, lit by many lamps similar to the one they'd found earlier. "Well, you seem to be feeling better. I'm glad, the boys were starting to think they'd killed you..." the Togetic said, throwing him a smile as she made her way over to check on Cael, and Tavian hesitated for a moment. Who'd been starting to think they'd killed them...? His question was answered when he turned and realized that the three Sableye from the mine car were sitting together in the corner, watching them and flinching slightly when Tavian noticed them. But before he could get mad, a groggy groan signaled Cael waking up, and he turned back to the Pichu as the mouse rubbed his eye with the back of his paw and looked around in confusion. "Wha' happened...?" he mumbled, then blinked for a moment as he too caught sight of the three Sableye, going silent briefly before... "YOU!" he shouted furiously, leaping to his feet as the Sableye yelped and backed up against the wall, scrambling over each other to try and hide. "I 'oughta--" he began, advancing, but the Togetic fluttered forward and cut him off. "Oh don't hurt them, they're very sorry about what happened. Aren't you?" she said, turning to the Sableye who all nodded quickly. "Yeah, we were just messing around..." "Totally forgot that rock was there..." "We were kinda over-excited after taking a Charcoal from some Charmander..."
At that, Tavian got up and made his way over, frowning as Cael continued to growl irritably. "Wait... did you say Charcoal?" The blue-gemed Sableye nodded. "Yeah, some Charmander came in here a couple days ago, picking fights with the locals and whatnot." he said, then the red-gemed Sableye laughed a little before continuing the story. "So we figured we'd go and mess with her, and when she got real upset and dropped a Charcoal... we couldn't resist." Tavian frowned and took a step towards the Sableye, causing them all to recoil in alarm as the green-gemed one quickly spoke up as well. "B-but we'll give it right back if you want, we don't need it or anything!" The Riolu simply nodded and waited expectantly while the Sableye turned away and started quickly muttering amongst themselves, and Cael stepped up next to him to join in frowning menacingly at the bejeweled wild pokemon. "You said you had it!" "No I didn't, I thought he had it!" "Well I don't have it, I thought you had it!"
There was a silent pause, then the three Sableye turned back to the Guild pokemon sheepishly, shrugging and holding their hands out. "We don't have it anymore..." "Don't have it...?" Cael growled, cheeks sparking, and the Sableye flinched again. But before he could unleash his wrath, a loud burst of laughter caused all the pokemon to pause and look around in confusion, trying to find where it came from. And a few seconds later the source was revealed as a portly Gloom came striding into the chamber, carrying what else but the Charcoal as he strode up to Togetic with a grin. "Now lookit what I got, Miss Togetic! So long as I got this none of them Vulpix'll be able to bother me, they're all too busy fightin' over who gets to have it! HA! Clever ain't it?" he declared, while Togetic simply stared in bewilderment, and Cael frowned a little as he watched. "Dude... I think he's flirting with her." "Well, she can probably handle it, we just need that Charcoal back..." Cael nodded at this, then stepped forward, holding out one paw expectantly. "Hey you, we need that back. It belongs to somebody else." he said bluntly, and the Gloom huffed angrily at being distracted from Togetic, holding the Charcoal a little further away defensively. "Nu-uh, I found it so it's mine! You can't take it, I got it fair and square, and--"
As the Gloom continued to protest about how the Charcoal belonged to him, Cael sighed resignedly and strode forward, tail glowing as he started up an Iron Tail. "I tried asking nice..." he grumbled as he went, then proceeded to beat the Gloom violently with Iron Tail, Tavian watching boredly as he was at this point way too tired to intervene at all. Besides, by now he was fed up with this place, and could care less how his partner wanted to handle finishing the mission. When the Charcoal fell to the floor as Cael continued mauling the Gloom, the Riolu stepped forward and scooped it up, sighing and turning back to the three Sableye with a frown. "Alright... you're off the hook this time, but I don't want to find that you've been stealing from people again. Got it?" he said calmly, and the three Sableye nodded quickly as Cael continued beating the unlucky Gloom. One thing was for sure, they weren't going to be doing anything to get in that guy's position anytime soon.
"C'mon, let's go." Tavian said, nudging Cael to get him to leave his punching bag before turning to Togetic with an apologetic smile. "Uh, sorry about the mess..." "Oh it's alright," the Togetic said, glancing uncomfortably at Gloom, "It happens." Tavian sighed and nodded as Cael made his way back over, grumbling to himself under his breath, then with one last goodbye he pulled out his Explorer Badge, teleporting him and Cael back to the Guild in a flash of light.
((Fail ending... but at least it's done. XD; ))

"Oh, thank you! Thank you!" The Charmander declared upon seeing Cael and Tavian return with the Charcoal in tow. He equipped it immediately with a smile and then turned to them with open arms. "I dont know how to repay you guys! Oh, how about this Fire Punch TM? And...maybe I can join your team?" He asked with a pleading tone while behind him a familiar looking Sabeleye and Togekiss appeared as well as a rather beaten down looking Gloom. [One other recruit aside from the Charmander as well as the Charcoal item and two yellow Gummi! ;3 Nice job, Checks. Dont forget to remove one food item worth half a slot from your inventory. ^^]

Tavian && Cael As soon as they'd gotten back to the Guild and accepted their rewards, Tavian glanced over to where pokemon from the dungeon had appeared and nudged Cael, who had pretty much stopped paying attention to the proceedings. "Hey, you take the stuff and show the Charmander around, I'll deal with these guys." he said, and Cael sighed resignedly before walking away grumbling about how he wasn't a wetnurse and motioning for the fire pokemon to follow.
The Riolu rolled his eyes at his partner's behavior, then turned back to the visitors, and was quite surprised to see the green-gemmed Sableye standing there, glancing around sheepishly. The Togetic patted him on the shoulder and laughed cheerfully, then with a nod to Tavian turned and fluttered out the door, causing him to blink in surprise and look back to the Sableye in confusion. "Oh," the bejeweled pokemon explained, noticing the Riolu's confusion, "She came with me for moral support, since I wasn't very comfortable leaving the dungeon without my brothers..." Tavian frowned, bewildered again. "If you don't like being apart from them, why do you want to leave them?" "Well, they're going to be staying with Miss Togetic and help her take care of other pokemon in the dungeon and whatnot, and I just felt like I needed to do something different... Dunno why..." he said, then shrugged. After a brief pause, Tavian sighed and nodded, stepping forward to lead the Sableye inside and show him around his new home. Everyone needed to turn themselves around in different ways he supposed... besides, this couldn't be much harder than getting Cael to keep his paws to himself all the time, could it?

“Um. . . Excuse me,” A Gabite was walking around the bulletin board; trying to find people who can help him in a time of need, however many pokemon were ignoring him as they were too busy accepting missions of higher caliber. (Oh . . . what’s the use . . .? I guess no one can help my brother. . .) the Gabite sat down in despair as he looked up the palace walls, that’s when Lucas and the Machop Rookie stepped in and told him. “Hey, what’s wrong? Normally the Gabile family doesn’t usually break down to tears and this is a rare occasion. . .” “Oh. . . It’s nothing really, it seems that no one would like to hear my pleas.” The Gabite handed Lucas a flier as he grabbed it and began to examine the notice. While examining Czar stepped up to Lucas and asked him. “Hey, Lucas, what’s up?” “Well. . . It seems to me that no one would want to help this Gabile, I don’t know why though, but I can safely conclude here is that what the Gabite is offering is just isn’t enough to attract attention to others.” Lucas reported back to Czar, he gave the paper to the Machop rookie so he could talk to Czar without a big piece of paper in his way. “So, what do you think? I mean, he isn’t offering much; just Scope lens, but it’s up to you, whether we go or not-“Lucas was interrupted by the Machop rookie as he blurted out. “We’re going.” The Gabite stood up as he heard the Machop’s words, “You mean it?” The Gabite’s eyes were sparkling with hope once more. “Whoa now hang on little Rookie,” Lucas passed the paper from the Rookie’s hands, to Czar as he direct his attentions to him. “Before we decide to go off an adventure, let’s be quaint about this; we’re going to the Gemstone mines, and the total floor is 30, from the looks of it I don’t think we don’t have that much supplies to travel to levels beyond the ninth, now I know you’re excited when it comes to missions and this is also your first day, and-“while Lucas was talking to the Rookie; lashing him, Czar interrupted Lucas saying, “We’re going, and I bought some supplies while I’m out. Gabite, you don’t have to worry, we’ll get your brother out.” Czar smiled at the Gabite. He stood up and hugged the Trio, “Thank you guys! I’ll repay you some day, you know what, how about this, I’ll tag along with you guys; temporary of course, and we’ll get my brother back, after all, you guys might need some extra power, if you know what I mean.” The Gabite flexed around; trying to show his muscles; however they just stood there, and laughed a little. “What’s so funny?” he asked the trio of pokemon. “Oh nothing . . . comes on, off to the Gemstone mines!” Lucas dashed through the exit; still carrying his treasure bag. “Hey, Czar is Lucas always that hyper-active?” The little Rookie asked him. “Well at times. . . Um, I’m sorry ever since we recruited you I never asked your name,” Czar said to the Machop; sweating a little. “Well if you must know. . . My name is Luso” he told Czar, “Ah Luso, I like that name, well glad to meet you, Luso and welcome to Team Ragnarok.” Czar said with a smile. “And It’s great to be here as well, Czar.” Luso pulled out his hand, and so did Czar as they shook hands. “Hey, are you guys going to move, or you’re just going to stand there like sudowoodo?!” Lucas yelled out at them as he smiled. “We’re coming Lucas, cool your jets!” Czar laughed as he ran towards Lucas, Luso followed Czar afterwards and so did the Gabite. (They are a lively bunch, they are, well brother, I’m coming to save you. . .)

“Is this where your brother was last scene?” Czar asked the Gabite; looking over the entrance of the Caverns. “Yes. . . this is where the last time I saw my brother, right when we were out numbered by many Sableyes, I was able to escape, but my brother’s still out there, inside that cavern.” The Gabite told Czar, “Great. . . Sableyes, well, from the looks of it, nightfall is here, so we’ll be seeing more Sableye then any other pokemon, alright guys I’ll lead from here and here’s what I want you to do; watch you backs, and your items, I don’t want any Sableyes stealing our stuff.” And with a nod Czar went in first, (Hang on brother, I’m coming!) the Gabite stepped in as well, Lucas and Luso were quiet, but followed Czar into the Gemstone mines,
Gemstone mines F1 4.5 belly slots left Pokemon defeated: 0
Immediately at first sight, two Sableyes were talking to each other; not noticing that Czar’s group behind them. “So you heard about the one who we captured in the dark.” The Sableye began to talk to each other “yeah, from the looks of it, he doesn’t look like much, but we can use him for ransom; get ourselves a pretty penny, use that and get even more richer,” “Well if you say so. . . but I still think that we could add him into our band of thieves.” The Gabite snuck in close to the Pair as they grabbed their heads and banged them together; “My brother is not a thief, and he will never be, a thief, unlike you guys.” Then the Gabite used Dragon Claw to knock them down. “Well, that’s two down,” the Gabite told Czar; dusting off the dust from his claws. “Well good, however we could have used a little more information from the two.” Czar told the Gabite; as he sweat dropped a little. “Oh yeah. . . Well, like you said, we’ll be experiencing more Sableyes so we should be able to acquire more information from the others.” The Gabite chuckled a little, “Come on guys, quickly while they’re unconscious; let’s loot the place!” Lucas told everyone before saying, “Just kidding. . . We’re not thieves, but although, we’re stealing from thieves and if we steal from thieves doesn’t that make us thieves?” Lucas asked Czar, “I don’t know. . .” Czar told Lucas, “Well I would think. . . Nah I got nothing.” Luso responded back. “Me neither. . .” the Gabite responded. “Well come on, the stairs are here. . .” Czar told everyone as they descended down the stairs.
Gemstone mines F2 4 belly slots left Pokemon Defeated: 2
As soon as the group descended down the stairs, they over heard another pair of Sableye talking to each other as well. . . “You got the traps set up?” “Well . . . not yet, we only got the 14th floor covered, and due to the lack of Sableye, it’s the only floor we’ll reach today.” “Oh well as long as you can protect the hostage its ok, oh and the hostage?” “He’s been shipped to the 14th floor, from the looks of it, he’s the key to unlimited riches, or so I heard, apparently the Gabile came from a family of miners; we could use him for either a ransom and acquire priceless gems, or train him to become one of us and send him across the world, either way, we’re going to be rich. Meh-heh-heh” “Stay back, this is mine” Czar rushed towards the Sableye while saying “Oi, Suzie!” The Sableye looked behind them; seeing a Charmander with claws glowing white as he slashed through the Pair of Sableye, while he did that, he used ancient power to send down rocks on them, jumping over the pile of Rocks, he told them, “That’s how it’s done, anyways, we can confirm that the Sableye has your brother hostage on the 14th floor, and there’s traps there as well, also apparently they want your brother since you guys came from a family of miners or something like that.” Czar reported to the Group. “A family of miners. . . I never would of thought, I never knew about that in my family. . .” the Gabite was shocked at the fact that his ancestors were miners once. “Well at any rate, we should get moving, the more we stay here, the more troubling it gets; after all we’re in enemy territory.” The Gabite walked towards the Rocky pattern and dug under it, while Czar, Lucas, and Luso jumped over it, and landed on the Gabite’s back, once getting off they moved towards the next room; from there, stairs were located. Looking at each other, they left to the next room, (Brother, I’ll save you, I won’t let you become one of them; a thief!)

After Descending down the stairs they looked around the room, what they didn’t notice was the fact that no Sableye is in the room, but still they remained on the defensive state; they’re dealing with Pokemon who can maneuver in the dark, However Czar’s flame tail illuminated the room as many Gemstones were glowing brightly. “Wow . . . this is surely a great spectacle; it’s kind of too bad that we could stay here for long.” Czar said to his group; watching the Gems sparkling in the area. Luso looked around as well; amazed at the many gems around in the walls and the Ceiling, however he noticed two Gemstones moving, either he was imagining things or something lurks in the myriad of gems. (What was that . . .?) Luso thought; blinking once, then he blinked again, as soon as he blinked twice he concluded that he wasn’t imagining things; A Sableye dropped down from the ceiling and was going to attack Czar, that’s when Luso moved in and pushed Czar aside; taking the hit, which was minor, since the Sableye only used knock off, but Luso gave the illusion that it really hurt as he fell to the ground. “Luso!” Lucas was shocked as he stared at the Sableye. “Damn . . . he didn’t have anything on him. How about you?” the Sableye stared at the Riolu as he slowly walked towards him “Surely you must have something since your fur is silver. . . Let me shave some of that off for you!” The Sableye charged at Lucas with Claws stretched out; let’s see if you can handle my fury swipes!” Lucas guarded himself, while the Gabite stood in front of Lucas to protect him, only to hear a scream from the Sableye as he was sent flying towards the wall by Luso. “Lesson well learned: Never use dark attacks against a fighting type.” Luso smiled at the Group; scared at the Sableye; who tried to attack him. “Scared ya didn’t I?” he said with a laugh. “Phew. . . Thanks Luso, you sure saved me from losing my bag of items.” Czar thanked Luso for the quick save. “Hey, no worries, us Team members have to look out for each other.” Luso told Czar as he saw him nodding. “Well come on now, let’s get moving, I saw the stairs when I was pushed into the next room.” They all nodded as they pressed onward. (So . . . I guess we entered a lair of Sableye, great. . . I really have to keep my stuff intact anyways. . .)

“A long hallway, with many hallways in the same side. . .” the Gabite looked at the hallway, for a brief moment he saw a silhouette of a Sableye. “Czar let me lead from here. . .” the Gabite dug underground and covered up the hole, after a few seconds he reappeared from the other side of the first hallway. “Psst. Czar, when I give the signal you run to where I’m at.” The Gabite said; quietly, the Trio nodded as they ran towards the hall way opening, but flatten themselves to the wall to avoid detection. The Gabite gave out the signal as Czar rolled to where the Gabite’s at, after a few seconds the Gabite gave out the signal again, as Lucas jumped over the hall way, finally one last signal, Luso slid towards them, once they are all together, Gabite did the same thing, and so did Czar, Lucas, and Luso until they traveled across the room, There they jumped towards the Room, seeing an eevee, shelder, and a Kirlia they used their respective attacks to knock them down. “We don’t need anymore trouble then we need,” they looked around the room and saw the stairs, taking a breather, Czar’s group descended down the stairs.
Gemstone mines F5 2.5 belly slots left. Pokemon count: 8
Czar looked around the room; the on the middle of each well, there’s a short hallway that leads into a room, however what they didn’t expect was they entered a Monster House, as pokemon began to drop out of the sky. “Contact to the east!” Czar yelled out; getting in a defensive stance, an Eevee ambushed them along side with a togetic, nuzleaf, and a happiny, Contact to the west!” Lucas yelled out; seeing four Sableyes, “Everyone separate!” Czar yelled out as they all nodded: Czar went to the northern room along side with a Sableye and a nuzleaf while Lucas went to the southern room along side with a Sableye and an eevee, then Luso entered the eastern room along a Sableye and a Happiny, finally, the Gabite entered the western room with the last Sableye and a togetic. While they entered their respected room, the hallways behind them, closed. “Damn it. . . I guess we’re all alone here.” Czar looked at his two opponents in an aggressive stance. “Tch, you can’t be serious. . . “Czar said to them, and unaware, so did his allies as he fired off a flame thrower at the Nuzlef, then he used Metal Claw at the Sableye, as they were hit with great damage, however the Sableye and the Nuzlef combined their moves together; Nuzleaf used energy ball and the Sableye fired off a shadow ball as the attacks combined together into a big ball, as it collided with Czar as a explosion was hit., Czar bursts from the explosion as he jumped from the air and used aerial ace to attack duo, as soon as they were on the ground, stair appeared in his room. (Stairs. . . I wonder if once they defeated all their enemies they’ll appear in the next floor as well. . .) Czar felt sore after being hit by combination of attacks, and couldn’t move as fast, but still he went down the stairs to meet his friends.

“Ugh . . . too. . . Weak to move. . .” Czar tumbled down the stairs and landed on the ground, shortly after, Czar’s group found Czar; on the ground and hurt. “Czar, eat this.” Lucas handed Czar an Oran berry as he promptly ate it, after he did, he felt his strength returning, up to the point where he can still stand. “Phew . . . thanks guys, you saved me from certain doom, anyways how’s everyone?” Czar asked them all, looking at Luso, he was battling a Sableye, with a mighty cross-chop, the Sableye fainted, “I guess, from the looks of it, you guys had an easy battle. Heh, you guys always get the easy targets; leaving me the hard ones.” “It happens,” the Gabite told him, anyways, we located the Stairs, it should be in this room,” Lucas told Czar as they all nodded and they descended down the stairs.

“Hold it!” a lone Eevee stopped the group as the stairs were behind the Eevee. “If you’re going to go through, then you’ll have to go through me,” “Well. . . Okay,” “Wait what?!” Lucas palmed the Eevee using force palm as the eevee went down in a flash “I hate gatekeepers.” Lucas descended down the stairs, as so did the whole group,

Looking right next to him, Lucas saw a flight of stairs next to him. “Oh, screw this,” Lucas fired off a Aura sphere, while Czar used Flame thrower, and the Gabite fired off a Dragon pulse at the room; hitting one pokemon and causing him to faint before descending down the stairs.

“Is it just me, or is this getting redundant?” Luso asked Czar, “I don’t know, but it looks like they’re running out of Ideas.” Czar saw another flight of stairs, but this time a Sableye was blocking it. “Oi, if you’re going to pass me, then good luck, you’re going to need it, for I am awesome, and you can’t defeat me.” The Sableye laughed at them. Lucas went forward and punched the Sableye in the Gemstone eyes. “I hate tough guys.” Then Lucas descended down the stairs, while Czar’s group sees the Sableye walking about. “Ack, I can’t see!” then they saw him running towards a wall; causing him to faint, plus blindness “That, was weird. . .” after that, they press on.

Looking around the area, Czar’s group can relax, as they saw a ring of stones, and a fire pit, sitting down they talk to each other; giving out some of their history, and stories they have to tell. While talking to each other, they grabbed out two apples and happily split them apart evenly to the group as they ate it; filling their bellies. “Alright should we get moving?” Czar asked the group, they all nodded as they pressed on to the stairs, “wait. . . I’m going to sneeze.” Czar tried his best to hold it in, however he couldn’t so he sneezed; accidentally releasing a Flamethrower at a Nuzleaf; causing it to faint, ignoring him, they continued on

“3 floors remaining, and look, stairs in this floor. . .” Czar told his friends, “but still. . . Something’s missing, and I don’t know why. . .” then behind Czar, an Eevee jumped up and tried to attack Czar, but failed miserably as Lucas fired off an Aura sphere at the eevee. “Ah there’s it is; a random encounter. Alright, let’s get going.” Czar’s team nodded as they descended down the stairs.

“This is getting tedious, first off they tried their best to defeat us, now, it’s like they’re just trying their best to get us riled up” Czar told his group, “yeah,” both Lucas and Luso told Czar as a Eevee tried to jump them, but Lucas and Luso backed hand the Eevee and used their punches to knock the eevee out. “Well I found the stairs, now come on let’s get going.” Czar yawned as he pressed on downward the stairs. (Brother. . . I hope you’re okay. . .) the Gabite through as he descended down the stairs.

“Stairs, over here!” Czar told his friends; however they were occupied at the togetic, who used metronome and out of luck, pulled out a sleep powder move; which caused his friends to sleep. “Hang on guys!” Czar fired off a Flamethrower at the togetic, however thanks to its quick movements he dodged it, “Damn it stay still!” Czar went up close and used Metal Claw in an attempt to slice the dodging pokemon; however the togetic used magical leaf to send leaves buzzing at Czar, it barely missed Czar, but it stung a little, especially around Czar’s shoulders. “Why you. . .” Czar’s claws began to glow white and as he ducked down, and leaped at the Togetic, “Take this, Aerial ace!” While he did that he felt his body combining the two attacks; aerial ace, and Metal claw together (. . . A combo,) Czar quickly slashed through the togetic in styles of both metal and air, as the togetic felt the sting, and was down.”. . . Well no use in going on, better wait for them to wake up.” So Czar sat down; waiting for his team to wake up, after a few moments of resting, his group was awake at last, “well good morning guys,” Czar laughed a little while he noticing all of them yawning. “Well, one last floor, we can do this, it should be right over there where I downed that Togetic, come on let’s go save your brother Gabite.” Czar told his client as he went north, and down the stairs. (Yes. . . This is it, I’m coming brother!) The Gabite ran towards the stairs and went deeper into the cavern, Lucas and Luso quickly followed the pair, (For some reason. . . I’m getting a weird vibe about this. . .)

“What the. . . It’s dark in here. . .” the Gabite looked around the room, only to find nothing but darkness, “Well hang on Gabite, I got this one.” Czar walked across the hall and soon enough the room began to illuminate. “Well, Well, Well, congratulations on making it this far,” All could the Group see was an evil smile, and two gemstones in front of him. “And I noticed that you brought the client as well, you were foolish enough to him, you see, this has been a setup all along.” The Sableye illuminated the room; from the group’s perspective point of view, he saw many caged up pokemon, and a group of Sableye behind Czar’s group as they were bound and gagged, as they were pulled away to the darkness. “Lucas, Luso! Gabite what’s going on here?!” Czar asked him. “. . . It is part of the ransom note; you see. . . My brother was taken away from me when we were playing here. I battle against the Sableye, but lost, as for sparing my life, I was forced to do work for this Sableye so he can spare my life and my brothers. Czar. . . I’m sorry.” The Gabite confessed which left Czar in a state of shock; He was used. “You see, I posted up this mission for anyone to take, it’s not for the exploration, but you see. . . We sucker in many foolish explores and defeat them here, after that we take the loot and get rich, that’s the common gist in which we planned and it works, for that I thank you, but I think your work here is done,” and with a snap, the Sableye gagged and bound as well, “I sense a powerful spirit within you. . . You know what, I’ll even accept you as my own, what’d do you say, are you willing to join us?” The Sableye attempted to Persuade Czar into joining their band of thieves. “Sorry, but I have no intention to join a despicable group of thieves,” then he fired a flamethrower at the main Sableye, which he was burned slightly, “Ack. . . You b*****d, you’ll pay for that, my minions, kill him!” A large group of Sableye appeared and began to circle around Czar; he just stood there; looking around in hopes for an Idea or something he could use to fight. That’s when he noticed a bone from a dead pokemon; lying about. (I have to defend myself, no matter how bad the situation is.) as soon as Czar grabbed the bone, all of the Sableye jumped towards Czar; each of the them using fury swipes to attack Czar, as soon as they piled up against Czar; a rush of flames bursts out of the pile and many Sableye began to fly about; hitting the walls of the chamber, the Main Sableye looked at Czar, as he noticed that the flame tail was huge, and it’s burning brighter then ever as it began to glow. “What?!” the Sableye moved back as he was shocked at how much power the little Charmander had. “. . . You pissed me off now, first you ruined a pokemon’s life, then you kidnapped my friends, and now you’re tying to kill me. . . Now, I’m really going to kill you.” Czar’s eyes were burning with rage as he held the bone with one hand. The Sableye was shocked and felt his heart skipped a beat, while that happened the Minions of sableye began to attack Czar, “typical beings, die!” Czar charged at the minions; still wielding the bone, He began his attack by using aerial ace to cut through the pokemon, then he used flame thrower to strike the group, while he did that the flames burned the ropes of Lucas, Luso, and the Gabite as they were free, soon they removed their gags and returned to Czar’s side, “guys, let’s show them no mercy!” They soon dispersed and began to comb the evil pokemon As soon as one’s down on the group, Lucas grabbed the feet as he swung it around, after that he pulled the pokemon over his head and slammed him it on the ground, Luso dashed through the pokemon; using Cross-chop, once turning around he karate chopped one of the pokemon in the neck, while the battle is in the midst, the Gabite found his brother in a cage; he used his force to break the cage, which it worked, the Gabite tried to hug the Gabile, however they hear a loud scream which caused everyone to looked at Czar and the main Sableye’s battle, However they could only get the ending; Czar defeating the Main boss. “Im. . . Impossible how the likes of you defeated me. . .” the Sableye was kneeling on the floor; badly injured, Czar tossed the bone aside defeated him using his claws only; the bone was a way to cut through the small pokemon, “I thought I was supposed to be the strongest in the cave. . . But I was proven wrong,” The Sableye chuckled. “I guess I let my pride take over who I really was. . .” while he spoke the most of the sableye in the group were disappearing from sight, “. . . Before this madness happened. . . We were part of a large clan we called ourselves the inviting darkness, over time we were a famous group of sableye; who lingered the darkness, but instead of hurting others, we help out explorers, it was a good job, however that’s when we were rewarded by the explorers with Poke dollars, and Items, we let our greed and pride take over. . .” Czar noticed that the sableye disappeared one by one, and then he noticed the main sableye fading as well, “You see. . . We live by a code; a code created by the pokemon of the ancients: we do not live by the lines of evil, nor we let ourselves be consumed by the sins of greed or pride, and if we don’t live by the code and get defeated in battle . . . us sableye; the violators of the code, will disappear into the darkness once; forever. . .” “So wait, that’s it?! So what you’re saying, is that you’re dying here?!” Czar was shocked once again at the fact that he “killed” a clan “No. . . We stand in the fine lines of ghost and dark, it’s true we disappear from the living, as sableye. In the end, we will be reborn, but as different pokemon, it’s a way the non-followers of the code live through, but although too many pokemon follow the code as it only affects Ghosts,” the sableye began to glow as purple sparkles began to leave his body, “It’s my time to go now. . . But before I go, tell me, what’s you name young Charmander?” the Sableye asked him. Czar couldn’t help but cry at the fact that this is the first time he killed anyone. “My name. . . Is Czar Kaze, and I hope you can rest in peace . . . in the darkness, Sableye” Czar smiled at him; knowing that he’ll return again, “Heh. . . You have know Idea what lies in the darkness,” then the sableye fully disappeared from sight; the purple lights soon traveled in the cavern, and into the darkness, while that happened Czar heard the Sableye’s last words: “in the darkness, you can never rest in peace. . .” once wiping the tears away from his face, Czar returned to his group, after noticing a reunion between the brother, Czar wiped the tears away from his face; feeling happy that the brothers were reunited, but also sad that he killed a pokemon, but relieved that he’ll be okay, “Well Czar, what’d you say we get out of here, and get us a couple of root beer floats?” Lucas asked Czar, “. . . I’d like that but first we gotta save our client’s brother,” Czar said in a happy but serious tone. (Sableye, I hope I can see you again. . .) and with it, the team ate a few apples and pressed onward. behind the Group; a bone cross was at the top of a rock formation, on the bottom the bones spelled: “the inviting darkness, a famous clan of sableye, this is where they made their final stand, and fought bravely, however in the end; what came from the darkness, returned to the darkness. . .

“Well we passed the worst, now it’s all but smooth sailing from here.” Lucas and Luso double teamed an eevee; using their fighting attacks as they pressed onward, however Czar lagged behind; still thinking about his first kill, feeling remorse all he could to was press onwards. Soon enough they found the stairs. Looking at Czar, all he could do is smile at them as the team pressed onwards.
Gemstone mine F 16 1.5 slots “Come on guys my brother shouldn’t be far now. . .” The Gabite told his friends as Lucas and Luso aided in taking out a togetic quickly as they ambushed him using their respective attacks; aura sphere, double-chop, and stone edge, Czar however just nodded at them as he head towards the stairs which makes them wonder, what happened at F14 that is causing him to be like this? Anyways they pressed onwards. Gemstone mine F 17 1 Slot “Czar, what’s eating your mind?” Lucas gave Czar an upset look, he’s been moping for a few floors and it’s really bugging him. “Ever since floor 14 you’ve been distracted.” While they were talking Luso and the Gabite began to attack a pack of Eevees that began to bite their heads. “Well, if you must know. . . I did something that I never done before in my life. . .” Czar looked at the floor while Lucas asked. “Well, what is it?” Lucas wanted to know. “No. . . I can’t.” But Czar refused to explain. “Um. . . Hey Czar, Lucas can you help?” Luso asked them as they were being attacked. “Come on Czar, I’m your friend, and I can help you through this, please. . . I beg of you, I miss my sarcastic b*****d of a friend.” Once hearing Lucas’s words, he couldn’t help but laugh. “Well. . . Alright, after all, we are friends.” So Czar told Lucas what happened back then, when he killed that sableye, while he told what happened, Luso found the stairs as he quickly descended down, the Gabite grabbed Czar and Lucas as they went down as well; just before downing an Eevee. “Gee, thanks for being there guys, we were almost smashed by them.” Luso told them as they descended down the stairs. “So I see. . . so the Sableye returned to the darkness. . .” Lucas told Czar as he looked down to the ground. “yeah, you know Lucas, life is a strange thing; it’s a fabric of the universe that always seems to fold itself without the help of others. Sure enough it does has it stains and wrinkles, but we move away from the mess to gaze at it’s beauty, while they were talking, an Sableye appeared, without looking. Lucas used Aura sphere to send it away to Luso and the Gabite to handle. That’s when they heard Luso’s voice. “Guys over here!!!” Nodding at each other they moved to the voice, and found the Gabite’s little brother, once the Gabite entered the room, all they could do was hug each other; saying things as they played with each other once again, after that everyone nodded as Czar raised up his badge and left the cavern.

Returning to the Guild, the Gabite went over to them. "Can I join your team?" he asked. "You're so cool." A Scope Lens was handed to them.
Soon after, a Togetic and Happiny appeared. Both girls appeared slightly sheepish - both wished to join but only one could.
[You need to work on your grammar. Also, your other mission is null and void because you took it without this being graded.]

((Grammar as in choice of words, or spelling? if it's choice of words yeah. . . I need to work on it.)) Czar "Sure thing, and I bet your brother will need an escort, so I'll take him home, in the mean time take the Gabite around and show them the wondrous palace in the kingdom of the sun. Czar told them; walking the gible home, while walking he noticed a Togetic flying about, nodding at her, she went along with Czar; happily fluttering beside him, as the Happiny disappeared without a trace.

Client: Eevee+Eevee Mission: "Help! My brother and I are being held hostage! Come save us!" Dungeon: Gemstone Mines Floors: Clients are on floor 15 Rewards: ???
-Flashback- ”Look, just stop your whining. This was all your idea anyway; you were just too much of a b***h to go through with it.” ”But I didn’t think you would actually do it either! Now what if they don’t come?! What do we do then?!” ”Well then you should be honored to know I’d have no problem killing you for food if necessary.”
-And back to the now- ”Oh Arceus! This is terrible! Grim you got to come see this!” Kewnew wailed as she yanked a piece of paper off the guild’s bulletin board; on it being the details of a mission apparently concerning two children in trouble. Something that lately peaked the Treecko’s interest after their run-in with those cute little Sneasel twins. ”What, you finally found something?” Grim groaned as he was awakened by the shouts; Apparently having fallen asleep next to his partner. The duo having been standing there for hours as Kewnew raced through every single open assignment up on the board as if she was looking for just the perfect one and nothing less for their first mission. ”Look at this! Those poor things; we better hurry! What if we’re too late?! C’mon we got to go pack up!” She rambled on, not even leaving an opening to argue against even participating in the mission as she raced back to their team room. Grim trotting behind in a slapdash manner, thinking to himself aloud once she was already out of sight. ”Damn girl and this sudden maternal nonsense are going to drive me crazy…” He muttered. Arriving at the location after everything was ready, Grim could only stare at the cave’s entrance, nearly twitching at the sight before him. ”Lovely…” He grumbled slowly turning his head to glare at Kewnew. ”Thanks for telling me where this mission would be.” He stated coldly, sarcasm apparent. ”What?! We’re only at Gemstone Mi-….Oh…” ”Yeah…” ”Are you-“ ”I’ll be fine.” ”…Okay” By that point Grim had already started to walk away towards the cave entrance, Kewnew following behind cautiously. The Sableye obviously not in the best of moods.
-Lust- ”Oh come on Kywle, why don’t you just lighten up over all this. They’ll have to come eventually~” ” ‘Lighten up?!’ You are one crazy b***h. We’re sitting here with the carcass of our ******** MOTHER and you want me to relax while we wait for some damned Pokemon which we don’t even know. ”Awe… I know how to relieve some of that stress~” ”Take one more step near me and I swear I will kill you without hesitation.
- First floor- ”Just for the record we’re going to be entering some not so fond territory for me soon.” Grim stated in a very monotone and grumbling voice; an abnormally large green gemstone filling up most of his mouth as he gnawed on the rock as if it were candy, keeping him seemingly ‘content’ for the moment. Or at least that’s what Kewnew figured, since he wasn’t on a killing spree or anything yet considering the circumstances. ”O-okay, it’s not like I’ll be leaving you or anything…” The Treecko tried to be comforting, really not sure what else to say. ”Actually, if the time comes, it may be better for you. Imagine that little nightmare incident, just a little more real. He stated, still maintaining a toneless voice as he trotted forward. None of this really seeming to be getting to him but surely deep down the mental wall of the Sableye was breaking down. ”And it looks like it’ll be happening now.” He stopped in his place, just in time for a rumbling to rush into the walls and floors around them. Some debris trickling from the ceiling as they simply just stood there. Grim’s expression entirely blank while Kewnew was just completely unsure what to do. After a moment though the noises of mass movement and scratching claws died down and droned into the distance. ”Looks like they were only on the move…Must be working on a deeper in the tunnel.” Grim stated after the droning noise was far enough away to not outdo his voice. His overall personality seemed so blank at that point the Treecko next to him wasn’t even sure if she was being spoken to or if he was just thinking aloud. Finally though some emotion was shown as a lone Jigglypuff trotted by happily, humming to itself as it paid no heed to the visitors in its home. Unfortunately for it though all it took was one swift swing of a claw as it walked directly by Grim and the Pokemon began to deflate on the spot, a gaping hole apparent in its side. The duo just moved on without saying another word.
-Depression- ”How many stages of grief are there? ‘Cause I think you’ve been through at least two of them by now.” ”Just shut up…P-please…” ”Meh, threeish maybe now.”
-He’s not all up there- ”Glad I left this forsaken place…” Grim mumbled out, this time actually taking his snack out of his mouth when speaking. The end of the emerald actually scraped of it’s sheen and a few chunks were missing here and there. ”I’m sure you had your reasons…” Kewnew began, taking a deep breath before she continued. Concerned to speak even though he was the one to bring up the topic. ”W-what exactly made you leave..?” She asked, not meaning to intentionally sound nervous over it, but it just kinda came out like that; causing her to cringe at her own voice. There was a very long pause before her partner spoke again; long to the point where she had already given up on getting an answer and was starting to feel sorry for even bothering. ”It’s a long story…” He opened up the conversation once more; starting with what would have normally been a one phrase answer; but he let out a heavy sigh before adding on. ”But from the looks of it, we have the time…” ”Since you already know of the nightmares, and probably put two and two together from the noises earlier you at least have a decent start over most I try to explain this two. The duo’s pace seemed to be drawing to a near halt as the Sableye told his story. As if it were necessary not to be moving during the suspense of his slow toned tale. ”If it works better, ya’ can think of it this way. Out in the world beyond this cave when two people want the same land the natural response is to wage war, right? Well here the same is to be said. Just on an obviously smaller scale. He added in a way that he thought would make the best sense to someone who never experienced what he did before. Kewnew simply nodded at the most appropriate times in response to what was being spilled out to her, showing that her attention was completely on the topic; which was entirely true. Hell, she even forgot about the mission itself by that point. ”Eh, if you even want, compare this to Solaris and Selena. Two Pokemon fighting for just simply their own wants. And both are willing to go to all extents for that. He added possibly explaining some underlying hate for his guildmaster. Well, by his logic that hate simply goes for all good leaders. Good in the eyes of everyone else, but not him. ”Everyone wanted and still wants the best parts of this cave for themselves. And obviously not all can get what they want in that case…When that happens, people tend to get a little butthurt. For a point of time, this whole pathway leading into the depths of the cave was a warzone. Diglett verses Sableye. This same train of thought went for my family; just not my younger self so much. Well, thinking about it, not really much younger, I only having considered myself as a vagabond for a short period of time before stumbling upon the guild. Unfortunately though, from the looks of it coming back here for the first time. The war is definitely over; which I knew was going to happen soon enough before I left and I already anticipated the worst of the outcome…Just being here, it’s almost funny. Yeah sure, my family and a good portion of my species living here are most likely all dead. But at least I was right~” It almost sounded as if he was trying to end his rant on a high note; the words though leaving Kewnew motionless. Was he seriously that much of a nutcase…? Oh Arceus she felt terrible for even bringing him here… ”I-I’m sorry to he-“ ”Ha! I’m not~” She was cut off mid statement by an obnoxious scoff and laugh from the Sableye. Whom immediately afterward picked up his pace and moved onward. ”Oh! Before I forget.” He then began another sickening statement. The Treecko could tell where his thoughts were just by the malice smile etched under now seemingly blackened eyes. ”See that little junction back there?” He then pointed in the direction of what looked like a crevice in the rocky wall, barely big enough for either of them to even attempt to fit into it. ”That used to be my home.” He made sure to stress the ‘used to be’ as he reached into the bag of items he was carrying for the mission and pulled out the One-Room Orb he secretly and very recently bought. Slamming the mysterious blue item onto the ground before he grabbed his partner by the arm and pulled her up the nearby stairs. Just as they reached the next floor a gigantic explosion could be heard. The floor below them being totally annihilated along with whatever inhabitants were possibly left. ”You’re insane!” ”Maybe so, but the past is the past, is it not?” The same twisted smile kept it’s place on Grim’s face as the two were barely able to walk with each other through this next floor. The fear and disgust obviously being more on Kewnew’s behalf. Fortunately for them though there wasn’t much time to talk as a group of Grass types gathered before them. Hoards of Gloom, Nuzleaf, and Lombre disrupted and disgruntled by the explosion that could be heard and felt from below. The two intruders now in their territory unable to be seen as friendly after that either. Only a split second being spared before a plethora of Seed Bombs were aloof in the air over the rescue team. Kewnew cringed at oncoming combined attacks, taking the moment she barely had to fear death to the fullest. Grim beside her however though let a chuckle escape from his already contorted face. Raising a clawed hand toward the ceiling where the explosive attacks were arcing down upon them. Before the onslaught could land though, a barrage of blue Will-o-Wisp flames, far more than the norm conjured from when he uses the attack, shot out of the Sableye’s extended arm. Hitting each Seed Bomb perfectly on target, exploding them in air like fireworks without scathing him nor his partner. Still snickering to himself he brought his glare upon the near army before them. The lot of the grass types already shaking with fear and a few having retreated with fear by that point. Grim being the gentleman he is gave the rest a few more moments to do the same before he unleashed a repeat of his last attack directed towards them instead. After this mission Kewnew was sure she would never be able to look at the Sableye the same ever again…
-Lies- The next few floors went by in a simply awkward way. A few Poliwhirl and Shellder taken down here and there as the soothing feel of the beautiful blue crystals and occasional stream of water of the new floors calmed the nerves of the two explorers just enough to the point where conversation was barely appropriate again. ”Can’t be too much longer before we’re out of here…” Kewnew began; her tone far different than the earlier peppiness which overcame her due to the pretences of the mission. As for now she just wanted to get the hell out of there as soon as possible ”Yep…” The Sableye trotting along next to her responded; his facial expressing reverting back to a drone but alert stare. This point marking about how far any type of dialogue between them was going to get. As they moved onward hastily the tension began to make the duo a bit more restive with each step; but a literal light at the end of the tunnel gave a new sense of hope. They were at the floor of their destination and a lone passageway with a dim artificial light shining through the entranceway marked most likely where their mission would be ending. The duo cautiously made their way through the aperture and cringed at the sight before them. Tightly snug in what looked like a little ball of fluff were two sleeping Eevees nuzzled together for warmth. A few feet away though was the less cozy looking body of an Umbreon; blood pooling under its neck where on the carcass a small set of teeth marks were apparent. That wound being what obviously killed the canine though what puzzled Kewnew and Grim the most was why it was dead… The important thing though at least was that the clients looked safe. And apparently ‘soo damn cute’ according to the Treecko that was now standing over them and squealing that said quote. She then knelt down next to them and gently nudged them both awake. The initial response from both of them being a growl from the female and quite possibly the brightest smile ever conceived by the male as he leapt up from his resting place and wrapped his paws tightly around Kewnew; tears welling in his eyes as he was unable to speak. Grim however was slightly less touched by the whole scenario. Rather wanting to know what exactly the hell happened. The two Pokemon plus one deceased before him definitely was not adding up so well in his mind. ”Alright; explain.” He demanded in a cold tone as he stared down the harsher looking female. ”Oh it was terrible!” She began, attempting to get her eyes to tear after she looked over at her brother and saw how well his emotional state won the Treecko over. ”We were taken from our parents and brought here by that Umbreon. She began to sob out , leaning up against Grim and whimpering a little between words. ”That doesn’t really explain why its dead; and if that’s the case where were you brought from? We can just take you home.” Grim responded, picking out the faults with her story; not really being amused with the façade. ”They killed our parents before we were taken.” Another more believable cry burst out from the other Eevee; quickly jumping in on the lying fest before his sister killed their plan completely. At least his sobs were real though… ”And after we managed to send out our rescue request I saw that opportunity and just had to…” The female added, turning her solemn glance to the dead Umbreon. Her brother having saved her a moment to regain her composure their story was back to being reasonably believable. ”Oh dear, we just have to help them. You can interrogate them later but we have to get the poor things back to the guild…They don’t even have a home now. Kewnew was completely duped from the beginning as she clutched the Eevee she was holding closer to her body. All she felt was fur and bones; the poor things were probably starved by now too. ”Whatever…” Grim only shot her a glare in response; grabbing the other Eevee by the scruff of her neck before they teleported out of the dungeon.

Once back at the guild the two Eevee remained sitting behind Kewnew and Grim as they gathered their rewards. When it became apparent they werent leaving the female Eevee spoke up. "Since we dont have a place to stay you should keep us here." Before any hesitation was met she made puppy eyes at the Treecko, as did her brother. Yeah, Kewnew would not be able to resist that s**t.
[Bonus: Heres a god damn Fossil Bone and Sapphire for you, so take your Eevee's and get! XD]

Tolin examined the board that had caught his interest. Situated beside the Bulletin Board, it was labeled "Bounty Board". After talking to one of the workers who maintained the area, he discovered that it was a sort of "volunteer" work. Not officially sanctioned by the guild, it was sort of a "permissible violence" against dangerous criminals. Rewards, if any, were often sent in as a token of gratitude from the people helped. Although that was not to say the Guild itself was completely independent of the board; the guild put up or granted rewards on occasion, as it was essentially "police" work, a normally governmental affair.
It had originally been Puer's idea to take one."One should not bully the weak."
One in specific came to mind. A Jolteon had been running amok, kidnapping pokemon en masse to power some kind of vile contraption. He needed to be stopped... For how long he'd been operating, it could only be something big.
Informing a staff member of their team name, they took the job.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
A cave entrance stood in front of them. The interior was laid bare, deep holes having been dug into the walls and floor. It's gems stolen, the area had been laid barren by the excessive mining.
Walking in, their goal became more apparent than not rather quickly. Tolin spotted, just briefly, a blue flash sprinting through one of the tunnels. Silently motioning, the pair headed down the tunnel to their right.
Percariously stepping over hole after hole, the two made their way around the tunnel, hoping to track down the blue menace.
Puer had, however, managed to get his foot stuck in a hole. His right foot slipping down, it smoothly slid into the hole, trapping him.
"Son of a..." Struggling as much as he could, he seemed unable to free himself. His foot was simply in too deep, his bulky quadripedal frame not allowing him to do anything about it.
"Come on, come on. Let's go."
"I can't! I swear this damn thing wasn't here when I stepped there..."
Suddenly, his other 3 feet sunk into the ground violently, one at a time. Tolin wasn't willing to wait for it to happen to him, buzzing his wings hard to stay airborne for a moment.
A rather annoying voice rattled out from the underground tunnels, one that could only be described as belonging to someone who "sucks up" to everyone. "Yeahhh, we got him! We got him! Boss's gonna be real happy!"
Following shortly, a slow voice boomed out, one that can only be described as belonging to someone who is "not a thinker". Duhhhhhhh, yeah, the boss will be real happy."
Three diglets popped out of the ground, the one in the middle speaking with a cool, suave voice, brimming with confidence. "Hey, hey guys, keep it cool. We can't be shaming the boss's good name with uncool antics."
"Who are you three? Why'd you trap me!?"
"Why, we are the notorious 'dig' brothers. Along with our boss, we RULE these here mines! This here's Donny, and the other one's Slick Jim. It's our job to keep these mines clear of intruders like you, yeah? Boss won't pay us nothing if we don't do our job."
Landing softly behind the three, Tolin spoke with a clear tone. "So that's how it is, then. Would you care to lead us to your "boss"?"
"Heh, hell no! No way I'm leading anyone to our boss..." Seemingly realizing where this new voice came from, the one in the middle tried to turn as fast as he could.
Quickly striking, Tolin easily knocked the Diglett on each side out.
"Now, are you going to lead us to your boss, or not?
"H-hell no!" He shot down into the ground, but was oh too slow. With carefully poised scythes shooting into the earth, Tolin pinched the little creature between his arms, pulling him back up.
"Now, are you going to help my friend out and lead us to your boss, or am I going to have to pull you out and find out what Digletts really look like?"
"Oh god! Please, no! I'll do anything, just let me go!"
"Then get me out of here, already!!"
"Of course! Of course! I'm sorry!"
Popping back into the ground, the sole remaining Diglett worked around Puer's feet, pushing dirt back into the holes in order to give him a stable foothold. After about a minute, he was able to step out.
"That's better. Now, which way to your boss's contraption?"
The diglett leaned over, pointing his entire body. "It's just down that way! Take your first left, you can't miss it!"
"Then, thank you very much."
Tolin headed down the passageway as explained, with Puer following quietly behind him. The Rhyhorn's head was constantly pointed downwards, constantly scrutinizing every bump in the dirt to look for some hidden hole.
The hallway ended rather abruptly as it opened into a much larger room, the walls smooth and flat.
Strange machinery covered the room from floor to a considerably higher ceiling. Strange, flashing lights of multiple colours speckled the otherwise metallic wall, each one matched to some switch or flip. Some large, strangely-shaped creation stood covered in a cloth, only a vague outline of itself. One of the corner's of the room was sealed off by a large curtain.
A collection of magnemites were trapped within glass cages, constantly rattling around violently in anger.
The blue jolteon, Comet, sat simply near a strange humanoid figure. Comet himself had a pair of red-rimmed goggles on to protect his eyes, and the strange figure's appearance could not be seen past the large red cape he was wearing.
"Puer, you head in first. Try and get their attention. I'll circle around and take them out."
"Alright."
Puer moved into the room, shifting off to the left. Waiting until Tolin signalled, he spoke up. "Hey, you! What are you doing in here!"
Comet immediately turned, facing the newfound intruder. The strange figure cloaked in the cape, however, responded only with a slow chuckle, leading up towards malicious laughter. His laughter reaching obnoxious heights, he finally turned with dramatic flair as his cape was sent aflutter by the motion.
He was an electabuzz. In addition to pair of goggles matching Comet's, he also wore a labcoat and his strange crimson red cape.
"Ah, Puer! You've arrived! It was so good of you to come!"
"Er... Who are you? How do you even know my name?"
"Why, Puer! I'm crushed! To forget my name, and who I am! I am Dr. Do--"
The Jolteon who had been so strangely quiet finally spoke up. "Atatatata, we can't use that one. It'd be infringement."
Quite apparently shocked, the Electabuzz was stopped in his speech. Leaning down towards Comet, he spoke quietly into his ear.
"W... Well, then how about..."
"Yeah, yeah, that'd be fine."
"Very well, then! I am Dr. Destruction, your Arch-Nemesis!"
"I'm... I'm afraid I don't know who you are..."
This seemed to strike sorrow into the poor creature. Melodramatically falling to all fours, he began wailing loudly. Puer... wasn't really sure what to do.
"S... so why are you kidnapping all of these pokemon, exactly...?" This seemed to spark up the strange creature in an instant, as he leapt back to his feet and began happily proclaiming his intentions.
"Why, I'm using them to power this! Comet, take it down!" Gleefully obeying his apparent master's orders, Comet tore the cloth covering off of the strange, large machine. The machine was awkward and bulky, having a seat position at extending outwards as a cone. Near the end, it extended to a simple rod with a diameter of only a few centimeters. Rings floated around it, though the reason for them is unapparent. An orb stuck out, capping the end of the rod, surrounded by a (rather well made) carving of the head of a Gyrados.
"I call it... my hyper laser!" Puer was astounded.
What in arceus's name was this thing? "That's... nice... What does it even do?"
"It shoots lasers, of course! It's a doomsday weapon! I will hold the entire Sun Kingdom hostage, at a ransom of ONE BILLION pokeDOLLARS!"
"I... I see. Well, I'm here to stop you, I guess."
"You'll never stop us! Not when we have host---" A swift smack in the face interrupted Comet.
"That's my line! *ahem* Anyways... You'll never stop us, not when we have your wife!"
"My... wife...?"
"Yes, your wife! Comet, reveal them!"
Leaping up, Comet grabbed onto a rope, pulling it down with the sudden tug of his body weight. The curtain that had masked the corner of the room slid open, revealing a Donphan held in a cage over a vat.
"Oh, Puer! Puer, you've come to save us! Oh, thank god, I knew you wouldn't forget about us!"
A small Phanpy worked it's way out from under it's parent. "Oh daddy, daddy! You came for us! Oh Daddy, I missed you so much!"
"Yes! And if you try to interfere with me, I'll drop them into that vat of water!"
"Water... is it? That seems like somewhat of a..."
"Evil threat!? MWUHAHAHAHAHA! I am a villain, it is in my nature!"
Puer wasn't really sure what to do. Not out of anything such as obligation, or concern for the Donphan and Phanpy... The water wasn't even deep enough for them to drown if they were dropped in. It was more like a kiddy pool.
Luckily, the decision was made for him when the cage swung around, releasing the pair on the safety of normal ground. Tolin had popped back up near one of the machines. Seeing the two freed, Comet whirled to the control panel to face the Scyther.
"What!? How did you figure out how to free them!?"
Tolin sighed slightly inwardly. These were outlaws...?
"It wasn't terribly difficult. There were only two buttons... One was marked 'Drop them in the water' and the other was marked 'Do not drop them in the water'. It wasn't terribly complicated."
Both of them seemed genuinely shocked. Not a little, but significantly; the look of awe that struck the pair could not really be explained adequately.
Tolin just calmly strode up to both of them, smacking them sharply on the back of the neck, knocking them out.
"You... You damn hero... foiling my plans... I'll get you...!"
"Yes, yes. I'm sure you will. Puer, could you please break open the cages?"
Puer did as he was told, glad to be over with the strangeness. The electric pokemon that were freed seemed pleased to be out of their cages, swiftly retreating from the unfriendly mines they'd been trapped in.
Tolin briefly considered how to take the pair of them before noticing a large, burlap sack near one of the cages. It'd probably been used to transport the electric pokemon.
Shoving both the Electabuzz and the Jolteon inside, he fed the opening to Puer, allowing him to drag the two of them along inside the bag.
Leaving the room, they began to leave the mines when they were once more confronted by the Digletts.
This time, not using any sinister or clever tricks, they simply appeared before the pair.
"You beat the boss! That makes you the new boss! Boss, we'll follow you wherever you go, Boss!"
"Please, just leave us alone..."
((Please, please don't take this seriously. This was very obviously meant to be parodical, making fun of aspects of supervillains and pokemon in general. This also means it's not canon to my characters, as far as I am concerned.))
((Also, if anyone was wondering, the fact that the Donphan disappears and is never seen as soon as the immediate threat is gone is kind of a joke in and of itself))
