~*[Takera Uchiha]*~ ~*[Rank: Chuunin]*~ ~*[Village Hidden in the Clouds]*~ The light eked in through the sides of the shades that covered his apartment windows. Takera had gotten to sleep earlier than normal the night before and because of it he had found himself laying wide awake in his bed long before the sun had risen. Many thoughts from his past circulated through his head. Through his experiences came both the good and bad. As he settled into Lightning Country's Cloud Village he had found himself to change quite drastically. He found himself more aware of his surroundings and yet more laid back and patient. He had formed a tendency of thinking things through constantly. This tendency at time made him question most of what he already knew and almost everything he would come to learn from others. It created a sense of indecisiveness in his daily activities. Something that did not show itself in combat, but instead within choices while buying food and supplies at the market or when deciding what missions to accept. There were very few times he could be found not thinking something through with great detail, though despite the habit, he was still able to split his focus to listen and understand those around him, whether they were speaking amongst themselves or to him directly.
"I guess I should get up now, though I really don't have any thing I'm suppose to be doing today." Takera spoke to himself as he lay staring at the ceiling. His head turned to view the clock on his night stand and the sun light glaring in at him. It was only now six o' clock, but the streets would soon be filled with the usual people. Reaching down, Takera lifted the edge of the covers and folded them back as he slid his feet forward off the edge of the bed and leaned upright. He sat for a moment staring at the floor before rubbing his eyes with the flat of his left arm. His eyes had been irritated for some time now. A familiar twinge fell over his chakra and the urge to rub his eyes were gone. Moving his arm away from his face would reveal a change in his eyes, but he was not completely aware of what happened. Rising from his bed to stand, Takera walked over to the dresser that contained several pairs of clean clothes. He pulled forth the second drawer down on the dresser and took hold of boxers before shutting the drawer and moving to the next. Once he had a complete set of clothes, he placed them down on his bed and moved for the closet beside the bathroom. His closet was different from most, but for good reason. He had the sliding door replaced with one that was made up of a durable glass mirror. It reflected areas and blind spots in his house from areas he most commonly stayed in within the apartment. As he reached for the mirror he took a good look at himself and his surroundings in it. That's when he caught sight of the change. His eyes were flaring red with black patterns. It was his Sharingan. It was thought that when his life was saved by the old man's blood transfusion, his old bloodline had been lost, but now it resided once more dominately within his eyes. Something was different about it now. He wasn't able to quite put his finger on it, but something seemed off about the overall view of the eye pattern. Drawing his arm back from the door, he made a simple seal and dismissed the Sharingan. It receded and his chakra stabilized. Taking a breath he opened the door and pulled forth a towel from the closet. Afterwards he slowly made his way into the bathroom and begun his morning cleanliness. A good long shower, brushing his teeth, and anything associated with basic hair-care.
Emerging from the bathroom, he dawned his towel around his waist and made his way for the bed, where his clothes lay. Laid out in front of him were his boxers, netted under shirt, thick dark blue long sleeved shirt, and dark blue pants. A fine base clothing for a casual day. After he had gotten dressed he made his way to the door and into the main section of his apartment. It consisted of a hall about 4 feet long, to his left, that lead to his front door, a kitchen space to his front, and a living room/table to his right. Walking into the kitchen, he opened the pantry next to the fridge and pulled down a glass, which he sat on the counter. Opening the fridge and bending down he looked through the fridge to see what he still had. He pulled out a half gallon of orange juice and a bagel. He placed the bagel straight into his mouth and poured the orange juice into the glass before sealing it up again and putting it away. Closing the fridge, he placed one hand on the bagel and pulled it free and picked up the glass of orange juice with the other. A bite was missing from the bagel as he now eagerly chewed. Takera took a good sip of the orange juice and another bite of the bagel before placing both down upon the table in the living room. Gathering his bag and various ninja tools, Takera took a seat and began preparing as he often did. He took the ninja tool pouch from his bag and along with it he laid out a variety of Shurikens, Kunai, and other smaller or more compact tools. He arranged the items and one by one fitted them into his pouch until they were all within it nice and snug. He clipped the bag shut and set it aside as he pulled out his Kusari Gami from the bag. The weapon had long since served him well and he intended to keep it on him for any emergency he may face. He took a good gulp of the orange juice and another bite from the bagel before lifting the back of his shirt and tucking the Kusari Gami into his pants. Takera clipped the pouch of tools to the section of his pants right in front of the Kusari Gami as to make it virtually impossible to see without some kind of abnormal sensory skill.
Takera stood up and finished off the orange juice, as well as the remaining bagel. As he chewed upon the remainder, he rinsed his glass out and placed it on the towel laid out on the counter to dry. He went over things in his head a few times before deciding to finally leave. It was now a little past 7 o' clock and he was standing at the door where he slipped on his ankle-supporting ninja shoes and made his way out the door to start the day. On his way out he locked the door behind him and was greeted by the owner of the apartments. "You're up early today, Takera." the old lady said. Takera turned and partial bowed respectfully. "It would seem so. How are you this morning, Ma'am?" Takera replied humbly. "Where are you off to this early? A big mission?" she asked. Takera rubbed the back of his head. "No, actually it's a casual day for me. I'm just up earlier than normal. I figure I'll start things off and see where it takes me, but I feel like I'll probably be doing something work-related before long." He explained. She chuckled. "Take care of yourself." she said. Takera nodded before hopping over the edge of the guard rail and down to the ground below. He landed gracefully before taking a glance around. The surroundings were very serene in the morning. It was hard to think that not everyone could share that view. Things might be peaceful if that were to be the case.
Making his way around town, Takera reached the edge of the shopping district before long and stopped at the corner to take a good look around at the going-ons. Everything had seemed peaceful enough until he noticed a pair of kids who were acting roughly towards one another. As he watched it had started with verbal abuse that slowly escalated to shouting. The people around them began to notice and slowed their pace to watch the unfolding. Takera watched closely as the argument escalated and in the height of the moment his Sharingan activated. It re-acted to the situation rather than his will, but having other thoughts in his mind and his attention being caught up in the escalating fight, he hadn't noticed it. As he watched he saw the after-image ahead of them of one of the kids tossing a hard punch and beginning to assault the other. At that moment he realized that his Sharingan had once more come forth, but there was no time to think about it as he leapt forward into a run with his arms hanging back behind him. He dashed right in through the crowd with great speed. He came into a slide as a feint layer of ice had begun to form from his feet upon the ground. He came to a complete and abrupt stop, his closest arm launching out and grabbing tightly to the extending arm of the aggressive child. Both children were startled. The one who would have received the punch fell back while the one who's arm was now caught was struggling to free himself. Takera gave a swift knock to the top of the kid's head and the kid stopped, tears forming in his eyes as he fell silent. Takera's sharingan receded and he kneeled down to the kid's height as his grip loosened. "I don't understand why the two of you are fighting, but it ends now. No matter how mad or loud you get, it's not okay to attack others." Takera stated giving a disappointed look. "But you just hit me.." the kid rebuttled. "That was your punishment for not having any self control. Did it feel good?" Takera asked. "N-No..." the kid replied. "Then don't do it to others." Takera stated softly before rising to watch the crowd around them return to their daily routines.
Takera patted the kid on the head. "Go play, and remember to be nice about it." Takera spoke before walking down the street along the market district's edge. It wasn't long until he noticed someone odd. He had never seen this person in the village before and this person was very overly clothed. It was pretty noticeable that a large portion of this person's bulk just happened to be several layers of clothes, but he had to wonder why. Sure it was cold up in the mountain range where the village was built, but it wasn't that bad for inhabitants. Even Takera warmed up to it soon into his stay. Puzzled by this new man in the village, Takera decided to keep an eye on him. For someone that unused to the weather, he imagined they couldn't have been local for long and the village wasn't entirely too leniant with new people coming in and out of the Village whenever they wanted. It was a reserved ninja village after all. Takera took a moment to ponder as he kept a subtle eye on the figure. Blending in with the crowd, Takera began following the man on his destination. It seemed, from general appearance, that the man had been looking for something. It was unclear what however. This only served to make Takera more suspicious of his actions. * * Asura Zahn * * Asura walked along the path in the mountainous village, looking up to see stray clouds no more than ten feet away pass over the village. Such an isolated location made him feel safer. Though he had once considered living farther from the village years ago, mainly because of his phobia of fearing other people. Even after dealing with it and staying in the village, he still hated being around so many people. After so many years of being in the village, his phobia died down with the familiar faces he recognized. It still shot up around those he didn't, however. Like now, as he had passed through a crowd of people, he had noticed someone watching him as he passed by. Even among a group of people, the man stared at Asura. He hated it when people did that, as it made him really uncomfortable. Trying to get away from the man, Asura stepped up his pace, moving faster along the crowds. But, even though he was trying his hardest to get away with out drawing too much attention to himself, the man pursued with the same pace. Perhaps it was because of the outrageous look Asura had, though he denied this, as he felt himself just right with how he looked. Asura didn't stop to even turn to see if the man had been still following him, as he could feel the gaze of the man behind him, like when you know there is something bad behind you but you fear to turn as your afraid the thing will know your looking back. That was what the situation was for Asura. Taking a chance to get away, Asura jolted as quick as possible down a alley he was just passing in an attempt to get away. But, because of his lack of real knowledge of the city since he rarely goes anywhere, he didn't realize that the alley was a dead end, so he got stuck right then and there. And if he tried to scale the wall he was sure to drive way to much attention from the ninja guards toward him. So, deciding to make it look natural that he didn't screw up, Asura quickly put his back to the wall and leaned against it with his arms crossed, waiting for the man to come down the alley. ---------------------------------------------------------------- OOC: Post Words: [391] Total Words: [787]

 ~*[Takera Uchiha]*~ ~*[Rank: Chuunin]*~ ~*[Village Hidden in the Clouds]*~
Takera watched as the man started to hasten his pace. He could tell the man was afraid and from the looks of it, it was safe to assume he knew Takera had been following him. Steadily he brought his own pace up to match the fleeing man's, so that by the time he would match the man's pace, Takera would put a good deal of distance between them to give the idea that the pursuer could not keep up. Igniting his Sharingan, Takera wove simple hand-signs and a clone burst into existence beside him. The clone slowed to catch a turn off down a side alley they were passing by as Takera continued chasing the target. Takera kept an eye on the overly clothed individual. He began to hasten even more until he made a move more appropriately portrayed as a mistake, but could work against Takera in the same way. "What's this guy playing at?" Takera pondered to himself. He came to a slow stop only a yard or two from the alley that the man slipped down. He wasn't quite sure how to approach the situation, but he knew it was fools gold to casually stroll into something that looked entirely too easy. The fear crept into the back of his head of losing the man for lack of time to setup his plan, so without choice he began to formulate an entry that would provide the best straight forward results. A swirl of icy wind began to form into the center of his palm and take form as a small sphere rotating in layers and emanating a chakra filled chill. Takera leapt from his spot toward the center of the open street with a boost from the chakra accumulating in his heels. At that very moment he tossed the ball of icy chakra toward the inner alley wall close to the opening. In a blur it wizzed in and smashed against the wall bursting into a cloud of icy chakra shards to cloud the vision out. As Takera touched down in the center of the street he turned on his heel and reached back into his pouch. He pulled forth a kunai and with another strong leap he shot straight into the cloud of ice particles and bursting forth on the other side. His eyes widened as he took in the situation. There had been no traps placed around him and from what he could tell, none around the overly clothed man. He lowered the kunai slowly while keeping a direct line of sight, but did not speak. He waited for a reaction and possibly any words from the man who now casually rested against the dead-end alley.

 * * Asura Zahn * * Asura watched the man pull of some stunt to enter the alley, thinking that he had set some sort of surprise for him. By the look on the mans face, the reality was the complete opposite to his expectations. Asura had not set any traps for him, as he had no time really. In a way, it was a small victory over the man for catching him off guard, but he digressed. Now, what to do about his current situation? Attacking was a no go, as Asura had no clue what this man could do, besides the mist and Sharingan that was blatant in his eyes. Asura had never really seen this ocular jutsu, though he had heard of it and its abilities. If they were going to fight, this was probably the worst place to do it. Too cramped, and a bit nasty. One thing that the four long scarfs wrapped around his head aloud Asura, he could look about without it being obvious. Though when facing someone with ocular jutsu, it sort of made things difficult. In the end, it left Asura with little choice. He was going to have to start a conversation with the man. He dreaded wanting to do this, as he hated talking to people. They were all the same; untrustworthy and horrible liars. But, if this was going to be going anywhere, someone was going to have to speak up to start it off. "Who are you?" Asura said to the man. Might as well start off small, no reason why to get into a horribly long script. -------------------------------------------------------------------- OOC: Post Words: [265] Total Words: [1052]

 ~*[Takera Uchiha]*~ ~*[Rank: Chuunin]*~ ~*[Village Hidden in the Clouds]*~
Takera took in the view completely. He stood in a defensive stance and held the kunai backwards in his hand, but outwards as a block and deflection worthy defense. The man made no such efforts to flee or take up arms, though there were no certainties to be had. The man's head was completely incased in what looked to be scarves with the designs of eyes upon them. Takera immediately took notice of the man's chakra layout. It became noticeable that his chakra was more active around the eyes than the normal people he's come across. He wasn't quite sure just what to think of the man yet, but he had no doubt the man was hiding something. Takera straightened up and lowered the kunai to his side. He caught sight of his clone positioning itself quietly on the roof top behind the man. "Now to cap things off." Takera thought to himself. Before Takera could continue the man finally spoke up beneath the layers of cloth. The man asked for Takera's identity. "Hm. I don't see the harm in it, so long as you are willing to do the same for me and tell me who you are. I'm a Chuunin of the Hidden Village in the Clouds. Takera Uchiha." he spoke openly to the man. Takera brought forth his free hand and made a seal as he awaited his response. His chakra began to circulate and with it the mist behind him began to condense flatly and spread to conform to the height and width of the alley's opening. It began to resemble clear glass moments into the change and then spread quickly like a ceiling over the two of them to completely block them into the alley and keep any unwanted interruptions from anyone who might pass by. The ice gleamed for a second before suddenly it vanished. It became entirely transparent to the two of them, allowing them to see outside of it, but creating the illusion of more building rather than an alley from the outside. Takera's clone stepped quietly onto the ice above the man and slowly sifted into the ice, making itself hidden as well. Takera then waited patiently for the man's response.

 * * Asura Zahn * * Asura watched as the man seemed to be taking a pretty lengthy way of of approaching this situation, as he created a large room made of ice and had it appear like the surrounding buildings. This was why he disliked many people, as they always seemed to overreact to him. For now, Asura couldn't really stop this jutsu in anyway. Maybe if he punched the ice really hard, it might break. He doubted it though, as that ice most likely had some chakra poured into it, making it much harder to break than normal. The man had revealed himself as a Chuunin of the Village, meaning he was Asura's superior, though that didn't mean he had to like it. And the name Takera didn't mean anything to him. But, Asura didn't sense any kind of deception from the man, besides the icy room they were in. "You can call me Asura. Now, exactly why have you been following me?", Asura asked Takera, whose eyes still showed the Sharingan. If anything, Asura was tempted to know what this man was after, and just how much more powerful Takera was than himself. It was an interesting notion, one he had to test out at some point. ----------------------------------------------------------------- OOC: Post Words: [204] Total Words: [1256]

Takera reached back with the kunai and slid it back into his pouch before allowing his arm to return casually to his side. His free hand remained within the form of the basic chakra control seal and a moment later his Sharingan receded, allowing his eyes to return to their normal color. The expression on his face eased up from a serious one to a more nuetral one. The man had spoken once more. He now wanted to understand why Takera had chased him. It seemed like an odd question given the fact that he wore such layers of abnormal clothing and did not carry any visible proof of his place within the village. Takera gave it a second of thought as to how he'd answer the question. He still had his own questions to ask. "Truely, your clothing was the most concerning to me. I don't see any kind of headband and you don't normally see someone dressed as you are every day. It didn't really help your case for you to run the moment you felt someone was following you. If you had nothing to hide, why did you run? Who are you to this village?" Takera spoke on, looking for more answers from the man with multiple layers of clothing on. "While we're in here, we'll be free to see the outside around us, but those outside will not see us or this alley. It will simply look like an extension of the building surrounding us." Takera explained the designs of the jutsu cast over them to ease tensions and possible paranoia.

 * * Asura Zahn * * Asura listened to Takera, as the man explained to him that he had followed because he had looked a bit suspicious and had quickened his pace when he began to be followed. Then, Takera explained that the room of ice they were now in was keeping wary eyes and ears from spying on them. It was a type of Genjutsu to fool others, which was a pretty good way of protecting their privacy as they talked. Even with all these precautions, Asura was still not trusting this man to allow himself to drop his guard in front of him. The calm and steady ones were always the most deadly, as they were unpredictable. The ones with anger and raw emotions were better by far, as they could be too easily predicted. Still, it would be beneficial if they kept this conversation going, as Asura could learn a few things from this man that he could exploit against him or others in the future, as it was always a good idea to keep a back-up plan for any situation. "I'm just a Genin of this Village, nothing else. I wanted to go out to take a look around the area. And I actually didn't run, but quickened my pace to try and lose you in the crowd.", Asura then took a look at one of the ice walls that helped disguise the small alley. "Guess it didn't work. So, what do you want now?" he asked Takera, who stood before him. If possible, he would try to drop subtle hints to perhaps to hang about. Getting to know a Chuunin and his abilities may help himself in the long run of things. -------------------------------------------------------------- OOC: Post Words: [281] Total Words: [1537]

 ~*[Takera Uchiha]*~ ~*[Rank: Chuunin]*~ ~*[Village Hidden in the Clouds]*~ __________________________________
Takera listened as the man claimed to be a Genin of the Cloud Village, but did not present a headband, though it would likely not matter if he had since it would not be hard for a spy to acquire one from someone unsuspecting. Takera decided then and there that he would verify things for himself through those running the village. The clone moved towards the edge of Ice ceiling above the man and then jettisoned from it at an angle over the connected building and a few more following it. The Haku clan's specialty was not just stealth, but also tremendous speed when traveling through or from their ice. The clone landed down onto the far corner of a building that was three blocks down from them. The clone began hopping quickly from building to building with it's sight set on the largest building of the village.
The clone arrived a short way down the street from the building and dropped down onto the path that lead up to it. The clone was greeted by the gate keeper as he reached the metal gate. "Hey. I need to speak with the counselor." Takera stated. The man radio'd the message in and soon after the gates opened. "Come on in. She'll be in her office waiting for you." the man stated as he let Takera's clone in. The clone immediately quickened it's pace and made it's way into the building and up the set of stairs to the right. Upon reaching the next level the clone circled around to the third door and slowed it's pace to a hault. The clone opened the door slowly and made his way in. "Yo." he said to the Lady behind the desk. She looked up from her paperwork to see him. "What do you need now?" the Lady spoke. It seemed as though she wanted to get right to the point. The clone scratched the back of it's head. "I need whatever information you have on a certain Genin of Cloud. He says his name is Asura." The clone asked. The lady turned in her chair and got up, making her way over to the filing cabinet. She searched through the first and then second drawers of the filing cabinet before pulling out a file and returning to her desk. She placed it on the opposite end of her desk for Takera. The clone picked up the file and opened it up. There was a picture of the man in what he was currently wearing clipped to a basic info sheet and some other reports. The clone flipped through the pages. It was enough to be acknowledged by the village, but he felt atleast some precaution was necessary. The clone closed the file and set it back on the desk. "I'd like you to assign this man to my team for a while so that I may look over him and his progress. Is that alright?" the clone asked. The lady leaned back in her chair. "The genin does seem a bit peculiar, but he's one of us none the less. I expect you to take care of him and treat him like you would any of the others." She spoke. The clone nodded and she returned to her work. It was then that the clone made a hand seal and disappeared in a puff of smoke. The lady payed little attention.
Takera had remained silent despite the man's question. He kept to himself while watching the man as his clone had taken investigation of the man. It was only a good six minutes before Takera's eyes widened a little and the information of everything his clone had done was now his own. "It seems you check out, Asura Zahn," Takera spoke. He thought back to the prior statement by Asura that he was trying to lose Takera. "For the time being, you will be assigned to my team. I expect you have no problem with that?" Takera stated.

 * * Asura Zahn * * Asura heard Takera tell him that they were now a team, but that he should have no problem with that? Of course he did. They just met and this man expected Asura to just go ahead and trust him and join up? Asura was sure this guy had some sort of an alternative plan, though he couldn't tell what. Asura could easily just tell him no and walk away, but that wouldn't gain him anything. Plus, this guy seemed pretty strong, so there was a chance that he could learn something from this guy. Seeing no other option, Asura said to Takera "Fine. I have no problem with it". 'But I'll be watching you' Asura added in his head. Only time would tell if he could ever trust this man.
"Now, would you lower your ice?" Asura asked Takera. He had places to go, as he needed to start training in order to be ready for the world. Otherwise it'll leave him behind and he didn't want that. -------------------------------------------------------- OOC: Post Words: [168] Total Words: [1705]

Averus Ikaru The clouds over the village passed shadows down below, crowds of people shopping in the market being given shade from the heat of the sun. Averus knelt down on the edge of the building, looking down below as he scanned the crowds. Now that he was a full fledged shinobi, he now did odd jobs to get by. Today he was just on a patrol to keep an eye out for any thieves in the market place. He figured that a higher vantage point would give him a good view to watch out for them, which he had a good one. He could see many of the people of the village out on their daily chores and completing their shopping lists. He watched as many would go to food stalls, purchasing fresh vegetables and fruits, slabs of meats with spices and seasonings for the meals they were preparing for their families.
Others he saw were browsing at some of the weapon shops, which Averus figured must be the other students who just graduated and were supplying themselves with the tools they might need on various missions. One thing Averus had learned after graduating was that shinobi now could take on missions of higher danger, to basically chasing a cat for a local rich family. It was a bit depressing, but there was logic behind it, if only aggravating.
For now, Averus stuck to his current job, though he was doing it more of a favor for his teacher. Shyn asked him to take the day learning the various routes that shinobi use to get around the city. Traveling by road was normal, but many times speed was required to finish missions, and taking the rooftops was far simpler than having to run through crowds that would just get in the way. So, besides that, Shyn wanted him to also learn to spot thieves from above, see their patterns and figure out the ones who were just doing it on the spot, to professionals who learned to blend in with the crowds and steal valuables.
Learning to do this was a bit of a challenge for Averus, as he never really saw thieves when he shopped in the market himself. So, watching patiently from above was the best thing he could do. Then he felt a tap on his shoulder, and turned with eyes wide as he went for his knife, only to stop when he saw it was Shyn.
“Hey there, Averus. Keeping an eye on the crowds for potential theft?” Shyn asked as he knelt down next to his former student. “Yes, Sense-Shyn. Though, I haven’t really spotted any…”
“Ah, that’s to be expected. Even from this vantage point, I can only spot three potential thieves.” “Three? I don’t see any” Shyn lifted his finger and pointed out toward the crowd. “The first is that woman wearing the red coat and sunglasses. She has been keeping an eye on you this whole time, moving her head just slightly to keep you, and now me, in sight. She also has been eyeing the kunai in the weapon shop as well. She’s good, probably a failed student from the academy, as she has been planning an escape if we were to approach her.”
“Failed student?” Averus asked, though he kept his eyes on the woman instead of looking at his former teacher. “Yes. Not everyone does as well as this years batch of students. From time to time, we get the ones who fail to see the duty one has as a shinobi of the village, and eventually drops out. Most just go on to lead normal lives, but others become rogues who use the skills they learned to steal, or even kill, to get what they want. This woman is most likely that, but she knows that with the two of us, she isn’t going to do anything.” Averus nodded, then scanned the crowd a bit. “You said there were two more out there?”
“The second was is the man in the green hat. Notice how he was been a bit jumpy whenever something loud comes near him? He’s twitchy, probably stole something, or is about to steal something, but is waiting for the right moment to run with the goods. He’s all nerves, meaning this is probably only his first, or second, time doing this. He hasn’t noticed us either, a clear amatuer.”
“And the third...is the kid by the fruit stand?” Averus asked, and Shyn nodded. “Yeah, he’s been looking at the fruit for some time. Good eye. He is probably an orphan, looking for something to eat. But, there is a problem with all three” “All three?” Averus looked between each of them. The woman was still looking at them the way Shyn had said, and had now edged closer toward the kunai on a display table. The man in the hat was now looking, starting to lose his nerves and seemed to be ready to bolt now. The child was still eyeing the fruit stand, and was watching the shop keeper now. That is when Averus realized what his teacher meant.
“The woman is waiting for the man to bolt, she had to have seen how twitchy he was. She’ll use him as a distraction when he does run, taking the kunai and most likely try to get into the crowd. The kid isn’t a part of it, but with everything that will happen, he’ll grab something off the stand and run with it”
Shyn nodded to everything he said. “Exactly. When this happens, I want you to go after the man, take him down gently. I’ll handle the woman. Afterwards, go after the kid, though don’t do anything till I get there” Averus nodded, and went back to watching the woman and the man, keeping an eye on the kid as well.
A few minutes later, someone in the crowd fell over, dropping what seemed to be some pans as the loud noise made the man jump. He then ran straight into the crowd, knocking over several people in the process as he ran down the street. The woman took this chance to grab several kunai and then ran past the counter, to what seemed to be the back door into an alley. The kid saw all this, and when the shop keeper looked toward the crowd when the man knocked the people over, the young lad grabbed two apples and ran himself toward a nearby alley.
When this happened, Shyn waved to Averus, and the two split up. Averus ran across the rooftops, watching the man run by several more people and knocking them over. Seeing a shadow next to him that was of the rooftop, the man looked up and saw Averus running up there. He panicked, and nearly tumbled forward as he turned quickly to go down a different street. Averus had to stop, then taking a running leap, went to the next rooftop to keep up with him.
The chase went on for several minutes, with the man taking corners and side streets, as well as alleys, to try and get Averus off his trail. It nearly worked several times, and he was sure now the man in the hat was probably a professional thief, seeming to know just the right path to keep himself out of his sight. Once he went down another corner, Averus stopped, and doubled back down a different rooftop. The man ran down several streets, before stopping as he looked around. He didn’t see Averus, and smiled as he jumped slightly before continuing to run down the next street. To which, he ran right into Averus.
“Hello” The man yelled in surprise, before Averus lifted a fist and punched him straight in the nose. There was a hard crunch as the fist connected, the man falling backwards as he was knocked out. Averus shook his hand, as the man had quite a hard nose, and was sure he had broken the mans nose as well. Sighing, Averus made sure to bind the mans arms as he turned him over, checking his pockets. The man in the hat seemed to have stolen several lockets and jewels, though Averus was sure there was not a jewelers in the market area he was in. Deciding to let others handle the investigation for it, he took the man over his shoulder, and went to the closest office for the proper authorities to handle it.
Once the thief was dropped off, Averus went back and tracked the kid from the market. Though it took him nearly and hour to do so, he finally found them. There was a shack next to a old house, which was clearly abandoned for who knows how long. The house’s outside was peeling away, the wood rotting away, the same for the shack. Averus walked past and heard movement from the shack. Carefully approaching, he opened the door and stepped inside, holding his hands up to catch a large wooden plank that was coming right for him. He took it away, and looked to see it was the kid, a young boy, who had swung it at him. Next to him was a young girl probably about the same age, most likely his sister, with one of the apples in her hands. Averus looked between the two, sighing a bit. “I know you took the apples, I saw the whole thing.”
“Averus, you there?” Shyn said outside the shack. Averus pointed at the kids to stay quiet, then went outside to join his former teacher. “Yeah, Shyn. I took care of the one thief. How about the rogue?” “She put up a fight, but clearly needed practice with her taijutsu. Took her down quickly afterwards. Now, about the kids…” Averus explained what he just found, and Shyn nodded. “I know” “You knew?”
Shyn nodded, looking at the shack “Yes. They are already known for petty theft of food, blankets. I, as well as several others, have tried to get them to go to the orphanage, but they escape before we can bring them in. This is actually the first time we’ve been able to get them in one spot. But, the real question is, what do you think we should do with them?” Shyn crossed his arms, waiting for an answer.
Averus looked back to the shack, and was sure he could see a pair of eyes looking at the two of them. He sighed, thinking, then looked back to his teacher. “That...is up to them. They can survive better in the orphanage, having food everyday, warm beds. The only problem is they might be separated, and might not see each other for a while. Of course, looking for fresh food everyday and a shack isn’t the best place to live, especially when winter comes by. But...that is up to them”
Averus then began walking away, and he didn’t need to turn to hear the kids open the shack door. They were not his problem anymore, as he knew they heard every word. Shyn chuckled as he past him, then went over toward the kids as Averus left the area, putting his hands in his pockets. He decided to head back to the market to look around for any more thieves, walking back toward the large buildings that encompassed the market.
It was then he felt a spike of pain around his eye, wincing as he gritted his teeth from the sharp amount of pain. He had no real idea why it was reacting like this, yet another mystery to put up on the list of things he did not understand about the eye that had been shoved into his skull. Looking around quickly, he felt several more sharp pains as he looked at a certain direction. Deciding to follow this 'trail' that the eye was giving him, he went down several streets before spotting a person. As he stared at the young man, the pain in his eye went into more of a dull throb. Averus took the moment to study the person, seeing their hair was white, noticing the gloves he wore and his clothing stood out compared to the normal clothing some shinobi and civilians wore, though he was not one to judge with his heavy black coat and hood on. Watching the man carefully, he slowly started to approach him.

Takera descended the steps one by one in a slow drawn out manner; his mind seemingly in a far off place caught between traumatic memory and current reality. Upon reaching the base of the steps he continued walking forward almost entirely unaware of the two kids who were barreling down the hallway in his direction. At the last second he hesitated to take a step, finally hearing and acknowledging their presence. The kids whizzed by as they uttered some uncouth things at Takera after having almost run into him.
Takera glanced to the children as they hurried off down the hall way, but he could drum up no concern for their words. He heard a noise from the opposite direction and turned to face the teacher he had accidentally interrupted a short while ago. The teacher was closing his classroom door when he himself noticed Takera peering in his direction.
Mr. Yuma was a relatively average sized adult, standing around five foot and eleven inches. He couldn't have weighed more than one-hundred and ninety pounds soaking wet. He had spent his last three years as a teacher for the Hidden Cloud Village's Ninja Academy. He taught the basics of Combat and Strategy to a class that he felt was not meeting his expectations.
As the teacher turned to face Takera, he took immediate note of Takera's features. The white hair and blue eyes. Seeing the teacher's face, Takera began to feel as if there was something familiar about this person, although he couldn't put his finger on it. The meager curiosity was quickly dispelled as a passing thought under the weight of his mental woes. The teacher's and Takera's eyes met as the teacher proceeded to walk towards him. For a moment, Takera felt as if the man were going to speak to him, but instead simply walked on past, only breaking eye contact once he had completely passed Takera.
Takera returned his attention to what was ahead of him. He was only a short stretch from the double doors that would lead out into the open area in front of the academy. With no real direction in mind, he simply wanted to get away from this place and withdraw himself from the world once more. Takera pushed upon the doors, but was met with a surprise. As the doors opened, the let in a flare of light. He hadn't noticed it before this point, but the inside of the academy was dim lit. The lights had come in the form of square foggy white tiles in the ceiling with lights shining through them.
Takera tossed up an arm and turned his head to the side as he winced. His eyes began to adjust. Lowering his arm his attention was now cast upon the morning sky. The sky was seemingly set ablaze as a mixture of reds, oranges, pinks, and yellows flowed from the general direction of the sun in the distant. The sun itself was particularly bright and fit as a 'center piece' to the dazzling setting. It was almost a sobering sight for someone who spent so many years chained to the confines of a dark room locked away in the despair of their own mind. Takera's emotions were still bustling high. He was struggling to find answers for himself, but every thought kept leading him back to the idea of becoming recluse to the world.
Taking a short few steps to the pavement below, Takera placed his right hand upon the right side of his forehead and eyes. Something felt out of place inside of him, but in a physical way. He was having trouble making sense of the odd sensation that was welling up. Taking a deep breath he forced himself to continue forward across the open pavement toward the mountainside turn that would lead him into the central section of the village. Unclear as to where he was going or where he should be going, he continued on.
Elsewhere
Mr. Yuma opened the door to the Faculty Room. Inside was a counter that stretched along the wall to his right with a sink and and cabinets to hold and prepare any necessities. A counter stretched along the short wall a few feet to his left. It contained miniature filing cabinets and various work supplies such as notepads, paper, writing utensils, new and old studies and research content. There were tables lined with chairs filling the otherwise empty space in the room. Mr. Yuma's expression darkened as he walked along the left counter. He took hold of a notepad and a pen from one of the few cups full of them. He walked up to the windows at the backside of the room. They over looked most of the front courtyard that lead into the academy.
Mr. Yuma's eyes were fixated on Takera who was steadily heading toward the mountain side leading into the central village. It was then that he noticed Takera stumbling only to catch himself and keep moving forward. Mr. Yuma's eyes widened ever so slightly. "Is he.. vulnerable right now?" he asked himself aloud. He turned his back to the window and moved over to the table that had been behind him. "The white hair.. the eyes.. It's not worth chancing." Mr Yuma said worriedly as he took on a strained expression. He began to hurriedly write upon the note pad. A moment later a sudden creak came from the direction of the door. He looked up frantically, placing his hand over the note pad. There was no one there. The door had been cracked open slightly though. Mr. Yuma took a deep breath and returned to writing his note, keeping one paranoid eye upon the door.
Upon finishing writing, he tore the note free from the pad and rolled it up. Turning around he returned to the window, sliding it wide open. Takera was already no longer within seeing distance. A quick hand seal and the biting of his thumb caused a puff of smoke and light 'boom'. From the smoke emerged a messenger hawk of a sort. It was larger and seemingly meaner looking than the average lot. Around it's leg was a tube designed to carry messages. Popping the cap up, he slipped the note down into the tube and sealed it back up. "Bring this to 'him' as quickly as you can. I'm counting on you. Now go!" Mr. Yuma exclaimed to the burly messenger hawk. It turned it's head and nodded lightly before dipping out of the window and soaring off into the sky and around the mountain side into the distance. Mr. Yuma sighed as he rubbed his temples. Placing the note pad and pen back where they belonged, he sat at one of the chairs and proceeded to relax.
The Other End
The burly messenger hawk flew right over head of Takera. He watched as the bird soared on through with a strong sense of direction. The messenger hawk soared around ridges, over buildings, masses of water flowing between the mountains, and tons of people. It crossed the eastern side of the mountains and eventually soared around to descend south of the mountains. It's destination was a small hut sitting in a remote section of the Lightning Country and Sand Country Border. As it approached the hut, a man could be seen leaning against the front post of the porch. Nearby was a small chair side table and a rocking chair that was presently empty. The man was clad in very plain clothing and wore a large peculiar hat with sides that curved up. His head had been tilted down. The burly messenger hawk curved to left and began making wide circles around the hut. It cawed loudly and sharply, ringing out to the man on the porch and any within the hut. The man tilted his head up to reveal a piece of straw in his mouth and a scar crossing his lower left cheek. His eyes were a deep hazel, and his face was one of mild age.
The burly messenger hawk descended towards the front of the porch upon it's third circle and third shrill caw. The man leaned forward and walked to the edge of the porch where he placed one arm on the solid white wooden guard rail and extended the other out beyond it. The burly messenger hawk landed gracefully upon his arm with a few strong drawn out flaps of it's large wings despite it's deceptive size. The man popped open the tube and retrieved the letter within. "What's this..?" he questioned as he began unfolding it. It only took but a moment for him to read and grasp the contents of the letter. He took a heavy sigh as his forehead began to wrinkle. His temper was rising despite efforts to contain himself. He placed a single hand in the form of a basic seal. "Release!" he exclaimed as he focused upon the burly messenger hawk. In another 'boom' and cloud of smoke, the bird disappeared; vanishing entirely without a trace.
The man walked inside the hut with the letter clutched firmly in his hands. Inside were a few chairs and a strung up cot to the right. On the left in the back corner was an old wooden desk with papers strewn across it. Behind it was a chair with it's back to the desk. The man walked noisily, each foot step yielding a thud like noise. Upon reaching the desk he tossed the paper from his hand onto it. The chair tilted forward a few inches and then spun around to face him. In it was a shorter man with thinning hair, a cigar, and the ragged appearance of someone who makes a living not playing by society's rules. His eyes were immediately fixated upon the other man's before glancing down at the partially crumpled paper that now lay at the center of his desk. He reached out and straightened the paper. Once he read the note, he began to gather his thoughts for a moment. He smirked ever so casually. "It would seem that some 'cockroaches' don't want to stay dead. Let's make sure that the roach stays dead this time. Am I .. understood?" the shorter man said with a hint of stress in his voice. After a nod of agreeance from the other, the shorter man stood up and grabbed his coat. The two of them set off into the forest leading towards Lightning Country.
Back Again - Takera
Takera walked slow and steady along the mountainside with a hand on his head and a hand upon the mountain to stabilize himself. Something was happening inside of him that he couldn't quite explain. It was strange for something to emerge after so much time had passed from the day of the blood transfer. Takera's head began to throb and the colouration in his face was fading. He hadn't even made it half way up the mountainside path before dropping to his knees. Takera began to cough haggardly as he began to lose his grip. He struggled to regain himself, his panting was weak and he was struggling to move at all. His vision would blur, focus, and then blur again as he tried to regain his ground. When his vision finally steadied he noticed a glimmer on the ground below him. It was droplets of blood pooling together on the ground and shimmering in the bright sun light that blanketed the mountainside. "I-Is this.. how it ends..?" Takera spoke softly, a line of blood running from the corners of his mouth to his jawline and dripping down. He winced as he grabbed his chest. His legs quivered as he rose back up to his feet.
In the moment, reality seemed to become distant to Takera. His hearing faded and all he could hear was a feint 'buh-dump' like noise. It was his heart. Takera's vision blurred once more as he looked out upon the path ahead of him. "..What's wrong Takera? Can't you make it..? ..Did you forget?" a voice called out almost as if it were standing right before him. Takera's vision came into focus once more. His heartbeat began to race. The voice was so very nostalgic and dear. Takera could barely believe his semi glossy eyes. Shining particles were scattering slowly from all around a figure standing before him. Almost as if the figure had a light blue aura about them. Takera shook his head, and glanced forward once more. His eyes widened gradually. The figure standing before him was his brother. "H-Have I.. died?" Takera asked wearily. A brief pause occured before the familiar voice spoke again. "No, silly. You're perfectly fine. Did you forget already? ..Aren't you going to come visit me again?" the brother spoke warmly to Takera, extending his hand out towards him. Takera's eyes welled up with tears as he scrambled to reach for his brother's out stretched hand. He took a few steps coughing as he tried to clear his throat. "Zeru! I'm sorry!" he shouted. "..Sorry for what, Takera?" Zeru asked with a slight sense of coy and confusion. Takera stumbled to his knees again. "I-.. I let you die. It's my fault. I couldn't do anything to help you!" Takera closed his eyes once more in anguish as his head fell low.
Tear drops pelted the ground in the dozens. Takera slammed his fist in to the ground. "I wasn't able to save you, Zeru! .. You were all I had left.." Takera wimpered as he fell silent. A sensation crossed his back. A warm and comforting touch. Takera turned his head to glance back. His brother was now standing beside him rubbing his back. "..But.. but why..?" Takera asked. Whether his brother was a ghost or a hallucination, Takera was no longer able to tell the difference. "Don't be ridiculous. You're my brother and I love you.. I always will, Takera." The warmth of Zeru's voice steadily put Takera at ease. Zeru faded into shimmering particles still smiling. Takera, feeling alarmed, reached out for Zeru as he disappeared. "Where are you looking, Takera? This way.. this way!" his brother's voice rang out from ahead of him. Takera's head swung back to face forward. Ahead of him was Zeru once more with a warm smile and outstretched hand. "Aren't you ready yet? Aren't you coming?" Zeru asked almost coyly before letting out a light chuckle.
Takera picked up off his feet and stared out at Zeru, trying to comprehend it all. Every impulse in his body screamed for him to 'GO'. The pain began to ease within his body. The quivering throughout his body ceased almost as quickly as it began. Takera stretched a hand out staring down at the open palm and flexing it by balling a fist repeatedly. His eyes glanced back up to meet those of his shimmering brother. One step after another, he began to move forward again. Even though his body felt as if it could break at any moment, he could only push harder and harder to pick up his pace. No matter how far moved he never seemed to get any closer. As Zeru got farther and farther away, Takera broke into a sprint and then a full run. At the edge of the mountain side path Zeru scattered into glimmering shards, fading away. Takera came hauling on through still looking forward for his brother in the distance even though he was no longer there.
Takera would find himself in the middle of the market at the central point of the Hidden Cloud Village. Gasping for air, he was doubled over holding onto his knees. Short of breath, he could hardly think straight. He pulled a cantine from his pouch and drank from it hastily and in no way conservitively. "Aaahh!" he exclaimed as he broke from drinking the water and wiped the sweat from his forehead and brow. He took a solid deep breath before he glanced around at his surroundings. Some of the people in the area had their eyes focused on him. It comes off as kind of suspicious to be running through a market area as thieves tend to be a common problem between the poor trying to survive and the low lives trying to make some quick profit.
Just then a commotion stirred up from people around the corner of one of the round buildings. Takera broke into a long stride to reach the corner. He walked around the corner to glance in the direction of the commotion when he came face to face with a man in a green hat. The man was paniced and didn't even try to stop as he bull dozed right into Takera. The two stumbled over in the direction Takera had just come from. The man jumped back to his feet in a hurry frantically sweating. Takera was still feeling sore and tense from his earlier episode and remained laid back on the ground, propped up upon his left elbow. Takera shook his head and looked back toward the man who was now running off into the distance. Just then a 'tack tack tack' noise was coming from the building beside him. Takera glanced up to notice an a peculiar shinobi leaping from the roof just overhead of Takera and landing upon the next building across the way. The mysterious individual was headed in the same direction as the paniced man in the green hat.
Takera took a deep breath as he drudged himself back up off the ground and to a standing position once more. He began to slowly brush himself off again when a glimmer of something caught his eye going around the corner. "Zeru.." he spoke softly, his thoughts returning to his original concern. He quickly slipped around the corner and off down the main stretch of the market towards the other side of town where he would descend down the mountain side and into the forest.
Stumbling through the trees, Takera was almost completely worn out. His body was finally giving in to it's limitations as he came to a slow stop beside a thick tree. His breathing was irregular and his legs were almost completely numb. Takera would have normally been surprised to see himself able to stand after crossing so much distance with few short breaks inbetween, but his mind was crystal clear focused upon the destination. He inhaled deeply and calmed himself. His breathing returned to normal and he stood up straight again. Takera peered into the distance, noticing a lightly engraved 'X' upon the base of a tree branch. He slipped around the tree and passed through a bushel of growth. Bursting out on the other side, the atmosphere grew somber. It was a small clearing in the middle of the forest that very few even knew about, much less cared. At it's center was a stone. Engraved upon that stone was the name of Takera's brother 'Zeru Uchiha'. A cold wind blew over the clearing, the grass waving in the direction the wind flowed. It came to a stop at the ground ahead of Zeru's grave where the ground had been disturbed.
Takera walked slowly up to the grave. He paused for a moment and looked away. ".. I- .. I'm here. I made it back.. to see you again.. like I promised." Takera struggled to speak as his emotions bustled once again. A moment had passed, but the only sound to be heard was the wind disturbing the forest trees and blowing about the leaves. Takera clinched his off-hand tightly and closed his eyes tight, biting his lower lip as tears began to stream down his face once more. Just then the familiar voice returned. "I knew you could do it, Takera. I knew you'd come back to see me." the voice warmly rang out. Takera felt a shiver in his spine as he opened his eyes, and sitting cross-legged atop the grave was the astral-like form of Zeru shimmering brightly. Takera walked up to Zeru, and wrapped his arms around him, burying his head in Zeru's shoulder. "...I don't know what to do anymore.." Takera replied, his voice breaking as he clung tighter. "Don't you think it's time you stopped asking for forgiveness? ..Isn't it time that you .. forgave yourself for once?" Zeru asked coyly. Takera let up his grip on Zeru and stepped back lifting his head up and wiping his tears away. "..How can I? I've faultered and fallen so far. How can I just keep going as if nothing ever happened?" Takera asked in an impatient and demanding tone, his temper welling from his confusion and sorrow. "I'm all alone now.."
Zeru shook his head. "Tsk, tsk." Zeru said before sighing. "You're not alone Takera. Haven't you realized it yet..?" Zeru questioned, as he let a leg hang down. His heel kicking back at the engraved tomb stone. Takera carried a look of confusion and frustration as he continued to wipe away at the tears streaming down his face. "..I'm not here. I'm here." Zeru exclaimed as he hopped down from the tomb stone and poked one finger into the near center of Takera's chest. "I've always been right here with you. It's time you stopped blaming yourself. It's time.. for your time to start moving forward again. Don't waste your life sulking. Get going, and don't get distracted by the 'what ifs', 'should haves', and 'if onlys'. The one thing you choose for yourself -- that is the truth of your world. Don't forget. My world is the world that's in here." Zeru poked the center of Takera's chest a little harder before dropping his arm to his side. A warm smile crossed his face. Takera began to laugh feintly as he continued to wipe away the tears. "..You're right." he said as a similarly warm smile crossed his lips.
The two sat there for a moment before Zeru began to fade once more. "It's time to do something with yourself, Takera. Don't forget this time, alright?" Zeru exclaimed. Takera's eyes widened. His heart raced at the sight of Zeru fading away. "I won't. I promise... So, don't you forget either.. .. I'll see you again some day when it's my time!" Takera hastened his words as Zeru had nearly faded away entirely. A feint glimmer brushed away in the flow of wind that lapped over the clearing. Takera took a deep breath and then fell back to the ground, his arms and legs spread out. His vision blurred as he quickly passed out -- a warm smile still spread across his face.
A Short While Later
Takera's eyes opened slowly. A wave of wind washed over him causing the loose segments of his clothes, as well as his hair, to blow about. The sky was cloudy. Patches of light broke through the clouds, illuminates spots along the ground. Takera breathed in deeply, his stomach pressing up against something. He exhaled amidst his surprise. He leaned his head up to see what it was. A thick root has risen up through the ground and over top of Takera's mid section, ducking over and back into the ground. Takera smiled as he placed a hand over the root. The feint presence of chakra could be felt within the root. Another wave of wind washed over Takera, catching his attention. "..I guess it's time I get going. Takera whispered to himself. He pushed off of the branch sliding out from under it. His bag was now laying a few feet from him. He gathered up the bag, checking to make sure his belongings were still there before slinging the bag over his shoulder.
Takera turned on his heel in the direction of the base of the mountain that would lead him back to the Hidden Cloud Village and stopped short of a step. He glanced back one more time to the grave in the middle of the field. Takera then returned to the beaten path.
And Over The Mountains We Go
Takera returned to the gates of the Hidden Cloud Village where he was warily eyed up by the guards who had watched him pass earlier that day. He did his best not to make any eye contact, but it seemed only to work against him. The first guard began walking to stand directly before Takera, the other guard positioned himself a little farther back to the left side to over watch the interaction. "Halt! You ran on through here earlier in a rush, but now you're back and you're acting awfully suspicious". Takera let out a sigh and shrugged his shoulders as he put his hands up and open palmed "Suspicious? I'm not the one who's trying to find fault in their fellow shinobi." Takera snidely remarked as his facial appearance changed from a jesting one to that of something somewhat more serious. The guard sighed for a second, closing his eyes as he shook his head. When he opened them he had opened his mouth to speak, but instead paused as he bore witness to something peculiar of Takera. The guard behind him was on high alert noticing the change in full. Takera's eyes were a glowing intimidating red. His sharingan was now active and he was staring point blank with the guard.
The guard took a moment to recollect himself, a bead of sweat gliding down the far right side of his cheek. "...Fellow Shinobi? What proof do you have? That's the Sharingan. That bloodline is kin to the Hidden Leaf Village Clan. The Uchihas." The guard replied. Takera pulled forth his bag with one hand and proceeded to dig through it with the other. He pulled free the steel plated ninja headband. It glimmered as the sun reflected off of it. It was still as new, in condition, as when he received it. The guard looked back at the other who then nodded to him after eye contact and a brief pause. "You're free to go, but slow it down a notch." The guard exclaimed before they both returned to their post positions. Takera took a deep breath before letting out a drown out sigh. He slipped the headband back into his bag, uncertain of what to do with it for the time being.
He felt the plate-like object as his fingers brushed over it. He had all, but forgotten about it up until now. He decided for the moment, it was best not to mess with it, and just continue on. Slinging his bag back up onto his shoulder, he walked on past the guards and into the Hidden Cloud Village.
The Market
Takera arrived on the edge of the 'Bizzare' like market that resided in a central area of the village. He didn't have any particular aim, but he had a feeling that he might find one if he stuck around such an active place for a while. As he passed by each of the shops, he happened to find a wide variety of themes and merchandise. Some stretches of stands were devoted to weapons, accessories, and various 'Ninja Necessities', while others carried varieties of food cooked or prepared in the open. There were even places that sold masks, toys, and stuffed animals. Takera caught a good whiff of something that stood out from the rest in the air. His curiosity would lead him to investigate, and there is where he would find a 'Ramen Shop.' He pushed back the hanging sheet to take a look inside. All, but one of the available seats were taken. The owner smiled and greeted him politely as he pulled and strained a batch of noodles in one solid arm motion. Takera was curious, but he knew that he didn't have much money on his person. It definitely a treat to enjoy some other time.
Stepping back, Takera allowed the sheet to fall back into place and turned his attention back to the markets. He decided this time that he might pay more attention to the people of the village market as opposed to the product. He walked down the widest column in the market, the main street. As he glanced around he happened to notice that some people were explicitly keeping an eye on him. It was about this time that he stopped in front of a shop and began to notice how those around him in the market dressed very differently from him. His outfit had changed drastically from his worn out clothing he had worn through short history in this Ninja World. His old pants felt new and sturdy, albeit baggy, but since they closed off at the ankles, they didn't bother his movements at all. He flexed an arm and formed his fist into a ball as he observed it. His old long sleeved black shirt was now replaced with a skin-tight thick plastic full body suit of some kind. He could feel the suit strain lightly whenever he flexed or breathed in deeply, but no amount of tension ever seemed to distort or damage the suit. He almost questioned the need for something like an over shirt for how much definition the body suit gave of his upper body, but he shrugged the idea off returning to the thought of how broke he was.

Averus Ikaru Averus watched the young man carefully, going near some boxes to make it a little easier to watch without getting spotted. However, he was sure this person saw him watching from how he had glanced around the market and would have easily seen him. Trying to blend in, he walked a little around the boxes to inspect some product a shopkeeper had, which looked like some kind of onion and several types of fruits. Averus did his best to keep his eyes on the man, his eye still having a dull throb when he looked at him, but increased in pain when he looked away, wincing visibly at times as he rubbed his eye with the back of his gloved hand. Following the man, Averus saw him stop and start looking around the market once more. He had no real idea what the man was doing, and from what he could tell just from how he was dressed, he seemed more like an outsider than a normal residence of the Village. Though Averus wore a heavy black coat, long pants, boots, and his gloves covering his hands to the end of his sleeves, he wore them because he did not like getting even more attention because of his greyish-ash skin he had. The young man he was watching wore such strange clothing, and from he was now looking at several civilians, Averus was sure the man noticed this as well.
Seeing as the man had no headband on, Averus was unsure if he was even a shinobi of a Village, yet his demeanor made him feel that he was. It was hard to concentrate on the thought, as his eye’s constant throbbing was starting to give him caused him to be distracted. Wanting to get closer, Averus began to move around several groups of people who were looking at a shop's goods that were displayed on some tables for passing potential shoppers to look at. The market, though not large, was rather crowded today, making it easy to hide amongst the civilians as Averus slowly began to approach the man, wanting to see what else he could learn, perhaps possibly to even hear something to give him an idea of just who this man was.

Takera held onto the strap of the bag that was slung over his shoulder. It hadn't yet occurred to him until that moment as he felt a twinge on his chakra. His Sharingan was still active from the incidents with the guard. He lowered his head, hoping that not many had become aware of it. The pattern and redness faded away to reveal his clear blue eyes once more. He ran his free hand past his forehead and through his white hair and he leaned back up into a full standing position again. Just then he caught eye of an individual wearing some kind of black coat and hood. As soon as he began to turn towards the individual, he received an unpleasant surprise.
Someone had bumped into him full force on the side where his bag was. He stumbled for a moment, but could feel his bag being tugged at. ..A thief? Takera thought to himself as he held on tightly to the strap of the bag. He regained his equilibrium and whipped around to see who had a hold on the other end of his bag. It was a rather burly looking individual. He wore no shirt and his pants and shoes were tattered. The clothing suggested to Takera that he might be poor, but his physique was not something the poor could properly maintain. "Hey, you! Stop right there!" a guard shouted from a few stands back. Takera and the mysterious muscle man both took heed of the in coming guard.
The man attempted to seize the opportunity and head butt Takera in surprise, but Takera was already aware. He leaned back, using hanging upon the bag as leverage and swung the closest foot, his right, out and straight up into an area where the sun doesn't shine. The man stopped dead in his tracks. He left out a shrill, yet feint squeek before his eyes rolled into the back of his head and he tumbled backwards completely laid out in the middle of the market street. As the lug fell, his grip on the bag ceased, leaving the bag hanging from the strap Takera gripped tightly. Takera looked down at the bag, but could not see any noticeable wear and tear. With a hefty sigh he slung the bag back over his shoulder and turned back to face the area where the mysterious man was standing, but he was gone, ..He's gone? Takera thought to himself. Takera began to glance through the crowd along the farther market stands for him, but wasn't able to find any resemblance amongst the crowds.
Takera felt that something wasn't at it seemed. If I were interested in a target, I'd want to.. ... be closer than farther away? Takera questioned himself in thought. Just then he noticed a peculiar movement in a stand off to his left side. The man was now standing amidst close by stands and he seemed intently focused upon Takera despite the general appearance of surveying the stands. Takera kept an eye focused upon this person as he began to weave through the channel of people flooding into and out of the market. He slipped around an Arms stand on the opposite side of the market street and slipped around the building. As soon as he was sure he was temporarily out of sight, he leapt up along the building, his back against the wall, his knees arched with his feet flat against the upper wall, and his hands holding onto the edge of the top of the roof to suspend him. He closed his eyes for a minute within the moment to discern the sounds of the foot steps that surrounded him. If a pursuer were careless, they would easily give themselves away.
