He is very much a rule follower, and enforcer, and cannot stand being near those who willfully disregard rules. Of course, things change when it comes to writing. Amal does tend to believe that one must know the rules in writing before you can break them, but once you know them it's okay to do as you please. In social situations though, he's still a stickler for them.
He's very quiet, preferring to stick to small doses of interaction with others, as he tires very easily. Making friends has never been particularly easy for him for this reason. He doesn't ever truly seem to lighten up, either. When pressured he quickly becomes irritable, and even aggressive if he feels he's being put upon or harassed.
Despite that, he does enjoy teaching, even if he's not the best at showing it. The permanent frown probably makes a lot of students worry that he's mad, but that's just his face. If he commits, he commits. Amal is not the type to leave something half-done, so those around him never have to worry about him abandoning projects half way through.
┅┅Faithful
Along the same lines, once he's actually gained a friend he makes for a very good one. He does make an attempt to be there for those he cares for, even when he doesn't necessarily like what they're doing. Amal is a very faithful friend, or partner.
┅┅Romantic
He's terrible at it but oh, he loves romance. Candlelit dates and secluded picnics are just two displays of affection he adores. When involved with someone (or someones), Amal tries his best to include as many romantic gestures as he can.
┅┅Confident
That isn't to say that he doesn't have bouts of insecurity, he definitely does, but for the most part Amal is confident in who he is and what he does. It's very hard to shake him in that.
☁☁☁☁Weaknesses┅┅Grouchy
To put it lightly, Amal is a fairly grouchy person. Outside of romantic interests, he rarely shows anything more than cool indifference to most people. For friends he lightens up a little more, but since friends are far and few between for him, he doesn't get much practice with actually being nice.

On top of being grouchy, he also has a tendency to criticize others, sometimes unfairly or with undue harshness.
┅┅Aloof
Even when he's not necessarily being grumpy, he's still fairly cold in his interactions. It's not that he doesn't know how to be nice, or even how to show emotions other than anger, annoyance or indifference... it's that he doesn't care to be open and welcoming.

He was sent to Asphodel Gardens Academy as a junior when hsi family fell on hard times, and still does not have the best contact with anyone aside from his father. This doesn't seem to bother him very much... then again, nothing seems to bother him very much.
Judas comes off as very cold to most people. Because he still has a thick accent, he takes his time with each word, carefully pronouncing it so others can understand what he's saying. This makes him sound almost robotic when combined with the fact that he doesn't inflect much with his tone. Judas is also very intense, in the sense that he becomes easily wrapped up in one thing. He often forgets to sleep or eat when he's working on a particularly interesting or difficult project.
His love for new technology - specifically crystal powered robotics - lead him to Leviathan when he grew of age. Naturally gifted with the sciences, he graduated early and began teaching engineering.
In terms of friends, he's fairly alone. While he catches on to academics quickly, social interaction has never been his strong suit. By the time he grasps what people are talking about, they've already moved topics, for the most part. Jude is highly intelligent, most of the time he only has to observe something happening once to understand how it works and how to make it better than it already is.

Primarily to his work, Jude is very much devoted to the things that matter most to him. He doesn't quite grasp friendship, but those who understand his mind earn themselves a piece of the same devotion that he gives to his work.●●Curious

Aside from just being deadpan in general, Jude does not seem to emote very much at all. For those that know him very well, it's easy to spot when he's happy or sad, but for the average person he just never seems to feel anything at all. This can be very unsettling...

He's incredibly intelligent, capable of grasping even the most complicated and intricate of ideas and things, but Jude is lost on basic social interaction. He's far too trusting, and can't tell when someone's being deceitful.

When he was 3, shortly after his brother Tengu was born, his mother fell sick and eventually died. After her death, his fathers went mad and began locking Tengu away because he looked exactly like their mother. Deskri, being a small child, did not understand why and continually tried to release Tengu, or would ask why he was in there, as well as where mother had gone to.
Eventually this lead to him being locked away in the room as well, with no light and only Tengu for comfort. 5 years passed before they were finally rescued, and during that time the two became so traumatized they had to be physically pried apart when the rescuers came in. Deskri had gone near feral, and had to be restrained for quite some time before he could be trusted not to bite or scratch anyone who came near him.
The two of them had severe learning disabilities, and Deskri had lost most of the empathy he'd learned from his parents before being locked away. While he's adapted now, he still has severe problems with expressing himself. During schooling, he turned to art to help with the problem.
Among those problems, Des has several mental disabilities including severe depression, anxiety, and a headmate that oscillates between sounding like either of his two fathers. He also suffers a genetic disorder of the nervous system, which translates pain as pleasure. Over the years he's developed an addiction to self-harm as a coping mechanism when he becomes overwhelmed with the world.
Art has helped, though. After graduating, he was at a loss of what to do, but knew he didn't want to leave his brother who was still in school. He applied for the teaching job primarily to stay near Tengu, but he does enjoy sharing techniques with other artists... He's just not the most friendly teacher around.
He also teaches at Asphodel Gardens out of a sense of gratitude, though children are fairly intimidating to him. He constantly worries he'll damage one of them or something...

Des has near crippling insecurity about how he functions in the world. He constantly wonders if anyone thinks he doesn't belong, or notices that it takes him a little extra time or read/write/do math. He doesn't ever talk about these insecurities, though.

He has a lot of pent up anger. A lot of the time he comes across as aggressive, if not actively hostile. In the moment he probably means it, but later he tends to be very remorseful.
๑๑Self-Depreciating
Aside from his own natural insecurities, Deskri just piles onto it with his own self-depreciating thought cycles. This is a main effect of his mental health problems, and a result of the abuse he and Tengu suffered.

But instead of immediately going to the academy, he was adopted by a family immediately as an infant. Things were fine until he got old enough to start going to school. It was around that time that his parents, two mother demons and a father geist, began to fight. Not understanding what was going on, Neptune would often attempt to get in the middle to try and calm things down. At first, it worked, but eventually it just made him a target. The triad of parents he had eventually broke apart, first his father left without a word, then one of his mothers with hardly much of a goodbye.
The third and final mother only kept him out of obligation, not because she actually wanted him around anymore. He was just supposed to be a relationship thing, after all. Irrationally, she blamed Neptune for the trouble that broke up her relationship and became emotionally and physically abusive. Neptune had always had trouble with academics, his reading and writing skills were below average and his right eye only mostly worked. As he grew, the effects of the abuse began to worsen his learning disabilities and worsened the condition in his eye. Repeated trauma to the head - especially around his ears, resulted in a steady decline in hearing.
Eventually someone at the school he was attending figured out what was going on and had him removed. It was then, as a junior, that he ended up at the academy. Because of his history with abuse, he's terribly skittish and tends to avoid people if he can help it. He tends to assume anything that goes wrong is his own fault, and expects the worst out of the people he does associate with.
When he does manage to get comfortable, he's fairly inquisitive. He has a hard time remembering things, so he has to be told things several times, but he still loves to learn. He especially wants to know everything he can about his race, where they came from, how they lived, how they died... everything. He's far too nervous to approach other grimm for the most part, but he does tend to admire them from afar.

Neptune spends a great deal of time in that head of his, though not all of it is focused on himself - in fact most of it's focused on other people. Neptune tries his best to interpret the needs of others so that he can accommodate their needs without having to be asked.

When he's not worrying about others, a lot of his thoughts wander to painting. He does spend a fair amount of time daydreaming new things to make, though he doesn't really talk about it.
⛵⛵Perseverant
Despite his appearance, Neptune is one tough puppy. He's been through a lot and somehow still manages to pull through life even when he feels like he's collapsing.
⚓⚓⚓⚓Weaknesses⛵⛵Skittish
Due to past abuse, Neptune is extremely skittish around people he doesn't know, as well as people he does know. He can't help but shy away from others when they move too suddenly or raise their voices too high.
⛵⛵Worrywart
Neptune spends a good deal of time worrying. If asked what he's worrying about, he can't really give a specific answer... he just worries about everything. It's quite exhausting, really.
⛵⛵Withdrawn
It's very, very hard to get Neptune to open up. Really open up. He's not had a lot of close friends or people that cared about him in the past, so he never really learned how to communicate effectively.

Neptune feels as though he's about to fall apart...☸☸☸☸ Feel Like Falling [Neptune + Kirket] - Neptune secluded himself for a week straight. Melisara helped calm him down during some tense moments, and ever since they've been close friends. Neptune really admires Melisara's ability to speak her mind, he'd like to learn how to do that someday. He also thinks she's really pretty, oh wow...⚓⚓⚓⚓Maria❤❤❤❤❤Neptune met Maria through Melisara, and the three of them began to hang out fairly frequently. He really likes Maria, she's kind and calm and very understanding. He wishes he could be like that, honestly. He also thinks her palm reading is really cool! Oh no, she's also really pretty...
