Leif rather liked Tethys' classes, even though this one had some... interesting topics coming up. He couldn't help but glance nervously at the boy who said he liked Necromancy best... wasn't that illegal? Not to mention... scary? He didn't bother looking for long- it was his turn to speak next! "O-oh, um... I..." He trailed off, thinking. He did like his father's nature magic, Corben could do all sorts of interesting things with it... "Uh... my d-dad uses a lot of nature magic, um... I think its kind of like... healing magic? He makes the plants stronger when he's with them for a while... I think that's really cool..." He trailed off again, hoping that was at least... somewhat on topic. Tethys seemed to accept it, anyway. He sat back down, glancing around the room again nervously.

This was Equinox's favorite class, but the topic today wasn't that interesting... at least, not at first. As more people spoke he came to like it a little more, but still. It wasn't really the most interesting thing in the world to talk about. "It's not my favorite, but I think curses are interesting. Since they last a long time, like the Hallowed curse that crops up every October..." He paused, eyes sliding over to the Hallowed boy that had spoken before him. He could practically see the kid shudder. "And the fact that some of them are irreversible is interesting, too."
Okay. Maybe this was interesting... He made a mental note to himself to research curse breakers in the future.

 Stood nervously to give his project on a historic figure. Since his race hadn't been around for the war, he didn't know any of these people at all. However, there was one person who really stood out to him from all the rest, a Fallen by the name of Saint Lionel ", I chose the fifth Saint Lionel the Brave. So the Naga don't know much about the 50 Year War, but this Fallen stuck out to me while I was looking for someone for this. They were a double agent during the war for the Below, who worked with Saint Fanyuel for several decades. They were found out an executed, but given sainthood. The conflict with the Fallen during the war intrigued me, and that is mostly because of Saint Lionel the Brave. That is why I chose them."

Bebe listened to her classmates attentively, although she already knew her favourite kind of magic and wouldn't be influenced by their responses. The comments on necromancy were pretty creepy, then the kid that was interested in curses. These strange responses threw her for a moment, but when it came to her turn to speak she rallied easily. "Oh, my favourite type of magic is definitely divination," she said confidently, "I think it's so fascinating, to see into the unkown, you know? Like, why bother stumbling around blindly when the magic at your fingertips can tell you everything you need to know! I think it's amazing, and terribly underused considering the benefits and stuff." She knew a lot of people found divination mundane and boring, but what could possibly be mundane about all of the potential futures, and which one you'll make come true?

History wasn't exactly Connor's strong point, but what she was immensely interested in was alchemy. One historical figure especially stood out in alchemical history, so as soon as the question was asked Connor knew who she would answer with. Connor was slightly crestfallen when someone else mentioned him first, then grew resentful towards the freshling who talked about him so carelessly. "Argus the Stoneskilled was far more important than 'kind of cool'!" she blurted out angrily before she could stop herself. "He is the most important figure in alchemy history and the ability to alchemise eternal soulstones... I can only dream of being half as skilled."

Quinn listened to the other students lazily, not caring enough about the present let alone the past. Historical figures... he must have heard some stuff on historical figures, elves loved showing off. Racking his brain for names, he barely put together a response for when it was his turn to speak. "Yeah, uh... Lady something... Fidelia. Lady Fidelia," he finally answered, relieved he managed to remember the name, "she was into, not exactly equality, but, you know... talking between the worlds and races. Made up a treaty and everything, it's why I can be sitting in the class today." He was pretty sure she was the one that set up daydream races going to the Academy, right? If not, it sounded legit.

 Oh hey, this was a lecture where Binhdi actually knew enough to contribute! Leaning forward in her desk, she rested her elbows on the flat surface and grinned as her turn came around. Waving one hand lazily and forehead wrinkling ever so slightly, so offered her own knowledge.
“Well, there’s occupational magic, right? Just about everyone who makes stuff for a living uses it to make the stuff they’re selling pop just enough to make people want to buy it. I think that’s my favorite type of magic. Especially the magic you can use on clothing to make it just that little bit extra special.”
Still smiling, the tall imp settled back into her desk, more than satisfied with with the lecture today.

 Eva usually considered herself good at school. Tests were usually pretty easy for her. This time was considerably not usual. She frowned as she stared down at the paper in front of her. Why did it have to be so hard? She chewed at her bottom lip. She never had this much trouble figuring out the answers. Maybe... Maybe she just wasn't as smart as she thought she was. She covered her face with her hands, wanting to melt into the floor.

No, no. She couldn't give up. She wiped her face with her sleeve and stared down at the paper with determination. She wasn't going to let this beat her! With a nod, she read back over the test, filling in what answers she could think of. Others she guessed on. Maybe it wouldn't be her best grade, but at least she had a chance at passing. If she gave up, she would have failed for sure. This was probably a sign that she needed to study a bit more. With a small shrug, she finished her test and turned it in.

Ganymede had to admit- he really should have studied more. He was still certain he got a passing grade, but it wasn't something he was particularly proud of. He guessed on a lot of things, and only thought he had some dates correct... Ugh, why did everything have to happen so close together? It was hard to memorize numbers like that. Plus, some of these names were ridiculously long. Like really. What was the point?
Either way, he was done with that and would just have to put more effort into studying later. Maybe with someone else...

Okay. Test time was not a good time for flirting. Sadly, Korvau had to learn that the hard way when he realized he hadn't even filled out half the paper and time was already up. Thankfully Tethys was nice enough to let him try again later...

This one wasn't much better, but at least he got more filled out? He guessed on the rest, and apparently had some luck with it. All Korv really cared was that he'd passed and he could put this terrible experience behind him.

Much like their older brother and father, Perigee was not good with social anything. They struggled with the test, passing over questions only to come back later and take a wild guess at an answer... Thankfully they managed to pass in the end, though.

Admittedly, Naoya had a lot of interest in the outside world's history- so this had really just been a test on stuff he'd been reading up on already! Still, there were some parts he struggled with, but for the most part he had an easy time answering all of the questions. Once he was done, he leaned back in his seat and stared out the window until the class was over.
