"My dress? Thank you... I made it myself..." He was sort of happy that... a stranger liked it. He felt a little better about the night. "I like your... costume. It's very accurate to the movies..." He recognized the character, of course. As he danced with Laurentia, a small orange jellyfish floated by, tangling some of it's long tendrils in Vega's hair and became stuck. "ACK! Ow ow ow! Help me get this out please?!" He pleaded with Lau. He might be stuck with this familiar.
Ah, at least she got the kid to smile. Lau was glad about that. "Well, you made it really well! I'm actually a little jealous. OH! I'm Laurentia by the way. And you... uh... you have a jelly in your hair... Hang on, let me help." They stopped dancing, and Lau began trying to untangle the delicate tendrils from the boy's hair. A rather unhelpful vespercat showed up and began trying to bat at Vega's hair and ribbons and the jellyfish's tendrils.
Miwako: 9 You see a stranger with the coolest mask. Find someone who is not currently interacting with someone else and give them a compliment!
Miwako had to move. She couldn't stay a wallflower all night... could she? She began moving through the crowd when she saw a naga by themselves. She walked over to him. "Oh uhm... I liked your mask... I thought I should tell you..."
Oh she was so embarrassed by Vera. Morana wanted to go hide. She put as much distance between herself and that apple game as she could so she could scold her stupid tail! But as she picked her way through the crowd, someone offered her a potion bottle again. People here sure were nice. She quickly forgot about her anger.
With his new (quiet) familiar friend, Sesha went to check out the games. He found a bobbing for apple booth that had to close for a little bit to get more apples. Apparently a shade had a very hungry tail recently...
As she talked to the naga, she spotted a game booth. "Hey, maybe we should bob for apples... oh... wait, it looks like that shade's tail might have just eaten all the apples... never mind."
The glowing from Nicolae's eyes and mouth subsided, though he still hadn't figured out what had happened... that was ok. He was about to say something to his roommate when a third rammykin bumped into him. Nicolae blinked and looked at the fluff. "...Ok, honestly. Am I just a rammykin magnet?"
A Kumiho walked over to him. Gallius smiled at her as she complimented his mask. "Why thank you." He smiled at her. She didn't seem totally comfortable in this situation. He was about to ask her if she would like to get some punch with him, but someone derailed his train of thoughts with a plushie. He declined, but when he refocused on the kumiho, she had walked away.
Naosu Naosu wasn't at all sure she wanted this one following her home, but it was probably just her imagination or a trick of the light. It wasn't really floating, was it?
Aurora Aurora's reading was sure taking a while, and she began to worry that these things were actually legit.
If you do not have a Brown Potion: You see a fortune telling tent and decide to enter it. The person inside offers you a free riding.
Gemini What th--another one?! It was a good thing the vespercat was on his shoulders now, because with two plushies in his possession he definitely couldn't cradle the familiar anymore.
There's an empty table piled high with these cute nezubat plushies. They're small enough to fit in the palm of your hand.
Tinú finishes dancing with Sylkie and gives her a smile. “Thanks, maybe I’ll run into you again later.” He saunters off to find more to do. A table catches his attention, one full of little nezubats. He walks over and picks up one to keep.
Sylkie continued dancing even after Tinú moved on, a small smile on her face as she wove through the couples dancing. Suddenly she felt something fuzzy tickle her leg and the sweet smell of candy corn wafted up. She looked down only to spot a Fennekit sitting next to her foot, tail caressing her leg. She knelt down and hesitantly reached out to scritch it between the ears. “Hello! Would you like to stay with me from now on?”
Vega sighed. He wondered if he could find Leto again... or maybe one of his other friends. Maybe he could make some new friends too. He looked at the plushie he had found, then at the nezubat. "What do you say? Ready to make more friends?" He smiled at the bat. As he stood, he felt something brush against his legs. He looked down and spotted a bright orange fennekin. "Well hello there." He smiled. "Are you going to join us in making friends?" The familiar chirped at him. Vega took that as a 'yes.'
Laurentia: 7 If you do not have a Brown Potion: You see a fortune telling tent and decide to enter it. The person inside offers you a free riding.
Lau was about to head back onto the dance floor, but caught sight of a fortune telling booth again. Were they offering free readings all night? She went to talk to the fortune teller, but decided not to get a reading.
Miwako was feeling overwhelmed. Maybe she should go back to the wall where she'd been standing before. She was jostled around in the crowd, and ran into someone. "Ah! I'm so sorry, I-" She blinked when the person just vanished into the crowd. Well... that was spooky and rude.
Morana was still obsessing over the little bat plush, much to Vera's dismay. Vera wanted to hit up the snacks. Morana sighed and gave in, wandering over to one of the tables. She fixed up a plate of food for Vera, then was distracted by a pile of cute plushies. Oh goodness. These were too cute! She wanted to show Vera, but... her tail was occupied with food.
Ok no. This was just silly. Something must have happened to scare the familiars so much. Wait... wait was that...? Sesha sighed. The same familiar that had just run off came running back, still shrieking.
Nora was dancing up a storm, and suddenly found herself in a flurry of Nezubats. "OH MY GODS! This is fantastic!" She couldn't help but dance among the flutter of wings. But this was boring alone. She reached out and grabbed the closest person. She needed to dance off this hyper activity!
Nicolae: 15 If you have an Orange Potion: You decide to drink the potion. For the next 2 days (irl), your character glows from their eyes and mouth.
"You give off the air of professor as much as I seem to give off the air of child." Nicolae sighed. "It's really quite a bother." He waved his hand dismissively. "Are you at least having fun?" He asked, and absentmindedly opened the orange potion bottle he'd been given. Without thinking, he took a drink, and his eyes and mouth started to glow. "...Oh for the love of...!" He realized what he'd done. "Well... too late now." He laughed. "Hey, you want to dance, Arthur?"
There were so many people and familiars, it was comfortably warm in the ballroom. Gallius slithered over to a bench to sit down and just enjoy things. He flopped onto the bench just as a familiar rushed out from under the bench. Where... did that come from? And did it just... vanish? That was spooky...
"I amm... wouldn't mind trying ... um" Sally , paused, running a hand through her hair thoughtful. "I mean, I know I'm short," and now she was rambling, great. She followed them to the chairs and moved to sit down. "Let's try that again."
"I would be honored to wear some fashion of yours, Eirian, if you care to make designs for short folk." Most other races towered over cherubs and she was getting use to craning up and not being noticed. "Not that I think you wouldn't, just that well... just... I think you have great taste?" Now that sounded like a question. She groaned.
These skyfish plushies are just piled up on a table near some candy apples. They're super soft!
Tinú wanders over to another table, this one full of skyfish plushies and a table next to them holding candy apples. He gently picks up a plush, then moves over to grab a candy apple to eat. This will fill him up for a little while.
Someone slips a flitterat plush into your arms. It's rather large and a bit difficult to handle. And the fabric it's made out of... you can't help but describe it in your mind as anything but sneaky.
Sylkie starts wandering through the crowd again, only to be startled when a Flitterat plushie gets tucked into her arms. She narrows her eyes at it suspiciously, then shrugs and continues on her way.
