Character Name: Super Grieve of The Collapse Action: in the midst of persecution Pausing, eyes growing wide, Grieve's jaw began working even faster. After a minute she swallowed and scowled at the Earth knight. 'What? I ain't got nothin!" Turning her head she coughed, something dark and thin flying out of her mouth and hitting the ground. "C'mon. Keep up!" As she turned, the tall alien's expression was a little scrunched but more quizzical than disgusted. ******** thing tasted like licking a light socket. Kinda like that green vegetable Yuki sometimes used... celery?

Character Name: Cynthus, Squire of the MoonAction: Embarrassed. Prophesying death. “It’s actually bombs that win wars, Da—Poe.”
Cynthus cringed and continued to shield herself with her hand. She already regretted coming along. If she hadn’t come, Dad might have stayed out of it. Now it was going to be her fault if he got hurt. Even if he wouldn’t blame her for it, she’d blame herself. Cynthus didn’t really like those kinds of feelings. She preferred a life free from complications.
Then Paradise had to go and be social! What was she thinking? Didn’t she know that wasn’t how these things worked?
“Aun—Paradise!” Cynthus hissed, a lot quieter than she usually was, but having them here was totally stressing her out. “What are you doing? We don’t need to socialize! We stay in our little friend groups and everyone beats the monster or the robot or the bugs or whatever space decides to throw at us without intermingling, then we all go our separate ways until next time! That’s how it works! If you’re too friendly that pretty much guarantees someone’s going to die. It’s the rules of space drama or something.”
Cynthus glanced around skittishly, like she thought she was going to be judged for hanging with a couple of old people who clearly didn’t understand the previously established unspoken rules of large group activities.
Boomers were so weird. (Ignore the fact that her dad didn’t technically qualify as one.)

Character Name: Super Sailor Chibi OortAction: Finishing off cookie then following after Tempesti Oort had taken the opportunity to let his gaze drift across the others as he absently finished off what was left of his cookie, but apart from waving at Tempesti he hadn’t made any real move to engage with anyone else.
It seemed like an.. Interesting mix
His attention lingered on the senshi who were clearly not human for a moment, such as the one with pointed ears and yellow skin with what appeared to be a quizzical expression on her features, whilst another with dark hair and golden eyes, appeared to be absorbed in something that he couldn’t quite catch.
But whilst his curiosity was piqued, Oort knew that that wasn’t the reason behind why he’d been called to Tempesti - particularly as his fellow redhead had already mentioned activating shrines to help Tempesti recover.
He’d given Tempesti a quick nod of acknowledgement when she’d asked the gathered group to follow her, reddish eyes taking in the stained glass windows that lined the wall of the chamber beyond the door.------ Character Name: Eternal Sailor AtheneAction: Admiring stonework of palace and the stained glass windows, following after Tempesti and offering to see if his magic can trap a construct if they turn up Athene had returned Tempesti’s wave with a quiet smile of acknowledgement, before his gaze shifted towards the nearby palace– And in particular the stained glass that adorned some of the windows set in the skyward soaring turrets, before his gaze gradually shifted downwards taking in the intricate stone vines and flowers that wound their way around the columns at the base of the façade. The craftsmanship was.. Impressive. Athene’s attention shifted back to Tempesti as she mentioned that their destination was a place called the Primordial Tower and that it would likely be guarded. "My magic can sometimes trap things," he admitted quietly. Sometimes. At least when it wasn’t having a mind of its own. "So I can try and see if I can trap one of those construct things if one turns up…?" He made it a question as he followed after Tempesti at the other senshi's request. Athene hesitated before adding, "And I also have a bit of healing magic." Because that last was relatively new– At least in contrast to his other magic.

Character Name: Amarynthos, Knight of the Moon Action: Walking with Ephesus, waves to Sessrumnir
Amarynthos swung his hand with Ephesus’ as they walked, eyes trailing over each new feature they encountered. In an ideal universe, he might have liked to just explore. Every new world he landed on–not that there had been many–was so unique. He didn’t think he’d ever get tired of seeing how differently each had developed. And fallen. Because, of all worlds, that seemed to be consistent.
Not quite the creative Ephesus was, Amarynthos nodded, because even he could imagine what this place must have looked like in all its glory. When Ephesus waved, he mimicked the gesture briefly.
“I’m glad to see everyone out,” he mused, never talking so much or so loudly that he couldn’t still make out the important things being said around them. He didn’t want to miss any of Tempesti’s instructions. For now, there didn’t seem to be much reason to cluster together. He wasn’t sure if they’d be better off wandering to Cynthus or Reims, not that they weren’t both in good hands, so instead he and Ephesus walked somewhere between them.
He couldn’t help but want to keep an eye on his friends.
“Maybe Tempesti will invite us back again when this is all over? We could offer to help clean up,” he mused. “I’d like to spend more time here.” Not that he ever treated these trips like vacations but it would have been nice if they could have, every now and then, without worrying about running into danger.
Character Name: Eternal Sailor Alastor, Senshi of Despair Action: Walking with Sessrumnir, balancing Lucien on his shoulder
When they had been outside, Alastor had looked at the vines like they were something to climb, and to anyone that knew him well enough, the lingering attention he gave to each structure must have been him calculating how he would have ascended. He managed not to look disappointed as they began to migrate to the interior.
He’d met Tempesti only once before, but he would have likely come at her call even if he hadn’t known her at all.
There were several faces that he recognized but he didn’t make a great deal of effort to draw their attention, just a little nod when their eyes met. The focus should have been on Tempesti, not socializing. If they were here to help her, the most important thing to do was to determine how they might be of the most use to accomplishing her goals.
Alastor didn’t know how Sessrumnir managed to resist the urge to visit with his own mother, though. Even he wanted to check in with her. He gave her space, and Atticus as well, but split his attention between their groups, and his own, and Tempesti.
With a not-quite exasperated look, he raised a hand to rest against Lucien’s side, as if to request he be a little softer. Alastor didn’t mind being chastised by the Mauvian, but he didn’t want Tempesti going into this while worrying any more than she already was. Lucien was balanced easily and painlessly on Alastor’s shoulder; neither the cat’s weight not size nor claws seemed to cause him any discomfort. He tilted his head just slightly when he answered Sessrumnir, “I visit often,” he assured, and he had.
To villages, more than anything, but to cities, too. None anywhere as large as Destiny City, but large in their own rights. “These days, Arista looks almost identical to my memory.” Which was interesting, because he was certain it had changed in the years beyond Percy’s death, so he wasn’t sure if this was another hole in his memory or–
Well, he didn’t know. It was a mystery to solve later, not now. He didn’t want to get distracted.
“Do you think I need a practice run?” he mused, contemplating. “Most of the buildings I’ve been in aren’t to this scale, but I’ve got a few I’ll have to show you. I’m a bit excited to see what makes this one so special.”
Character Name: Dering, Knight of Lysithea Action: Walking with Reims, Waves to Cynthus, briefly considers Halle’s magic
Dering knew too few Knights of Lysithea, and he knew fewer of them well. His eyes found Halle when he raised his voice, and instinctively he drew his lute a bit closer. He too could make shields, but his utility ended there.
Observant, he logged each face and name as best he could. Most were unknown to him, though he saw Cynthus–heard her, first–already in the company of two older Knights fussing over her. He didn’t plan to intrude but he raised his hand once when he thought he might catch her eye, just to wave.
Dering cradled his lute carefully, holding it close both for comfort and out of consideration for those around him. He walked at Reims’ side. He stayed quiet while Reims thought out loud, supposing that maybe that was just his working through stress or worry.
“Maybe they’re getting tired,” he volunteered quietly, unwilling to speak too loudly. There were quite a few people around him, and he kept his eyes on Tempesti as if he might miss something important if he let her stray from his line of sight.
He wasn’t a Senshi; he didn’t have a whole world to manage. He had a single Wonder, and even that was beyond his capabilities. It made sense to ask for help when you had so much to manage. Especially if you knew it was dangerous.
“Lucien is here,” he added. “He’s very good at figuring out traps. I’m sure with this many people, we’ll have an advantage. And if there are any accidents, Ephesus will be able to help.”

Character Name: Eternal Sailor SolarisAction: Hangin' with Alastor, Sess, and Lucian; admiring the scenery before questions @ Tempesti Getting a pull up into space wasn't too unusual now, even if the initial pull itself felt more unfamiliar to her. Landing on another world, finding herself amongst others of Order who'd gone along with the pull... that part at least was more typical. That she spotted a number of familiar faces was just all the more reasons to grin. She recognized Tempesti, at least, offering a quick salute-wave of two fingers from her forehead, before the Eternal beelined for other well-known persons. Alastor got a gentle, intentionally light nudge from her shoulder to his arm as she came up alongside him, before lifting a gloved hand to offer Lucien a quick ear scritch. Sessrumnir got a grin and a wave, and it was pretty easy to spot the young knights of theirs... things she noted in silence, predominantly listening to the chatter of those around. Especially things noted by their hostess. Her gaze roamed the open square and the grand palace, out to the city and the sea beyond... the place was pretty. Peaceful. She nearly snorted at the warning that things would be dangerous--weren't they always? But she held her tongue, held her reactions. They were needed, they came, and they'd assist Tempesti as required to help her achieve her goal. Simple and basic as that. At least, that's the straight-forward mindset Solaris held on it all as she wandered with the others into the palace, more enthralled with the architecture and stained glass than any warnings about constructs or whatever that would hinder their path to the shrine that was their goal. For the moment, at least. She still kept an ear out about the incoming opponents... Finally, turning her gaze to Tempesti, she lifted a hand and waved lightly till she caught the other's attention. "What can you tell us about the constructs? Weak points in the designs we can aim for, power sources we can disable, anything? Least, based on what you've seen of them, anyway." She'd heard the general descriptions, and the fact the bee-ones were some sort of repair units. But were these designs things that they could just... brute-strength take down, or did sturdier structure require more finesse in their approach..? "And--are we aiming to strictly disable, or is heavily damaging or destroying the constructs acceptable to you?" She wasn't asking to be light-hearted about it, either. Her query was genuine, as attachment to relics varied from what she'd seen, and if Tempesti wanted these things to still be functioning after the group got through to the shrine, well... that also could heavily affect how they'd all need to operate in this endeavor.

Character Name: Sailor BacchusAction: Responding to Mönch, following Tempesti The enthusiastic greeting of a…very fluffy young senshi as he walked into the palace caught Bacchus off-guard and he found himself more than a little bit pleased by the idea of someone thinking his eyes could curse someone. Weighing his options he reluctantly decided against pretending that they could. If they weren’t in a situation that would almost immediately debunk that claim that would be another story entirely. After all, alarming the humans of Earth had become something of a hobby for him when he wasn’t fighting monstrous animals over articles of his own clothing or making late night friends in the various dance…places. He still didn’t have a word for those things but so far they were one of the best parts of this whole misadventure. “Heh, thanks. Y’know, I wish I could curse people. It would have saved me a lot of headaches over the years.” Maybe just a little curse on Nuada. For fun. He offered a crooked grin before continuing, “Have you been here before? Last time I was here I punched an emperor. He didn’t find it anywhere near as funny as I did.” The rootless p***k had it coming, of course, but as far as he was concerned it sounded better without the details.

Character Name: Eternal Sailor Oberon of AdventureAction: Hanging out with Oort. “Really? You couldn’t even save me a crumb? Some friend you are,” Oberon teased as he slipped into step behind Oort and casually draped his arm over the other’s shoulder. His tone was all mock offense, of course. The kind that was more for banter than reprimand. “Guess I’ll just have to make do with sightseeing instead of snacks.”
He’d dropped off supplies for Caedus and was on the way back to the place he stayed with Haven when he felt the pull. There were so many new people around these days, both Senshi and Knights, that he was surprised to see more than one familiar face.
He glanced up at the chamber they were entering into, his eyes catching the light from the stained glass. He gave Oort’s shoulder a light squeeze before he finally let go, falling into step beside him.
“Seems like this will be a fun adventure.” Plenty to learn about as well.

Character Name: Halle Knight of LysitheaAction: Listening, making his way toward Dering and Reims Constructs.Immediately the term had Halle remembering the fight on Urania. Though these were more than one, and maybe simpler in function. There were strengths and weaknesses to such a situation. Batteries and off switches, controls. Things that were built were things that could be controlled. or at least turned off. Hopefully. Moving to follow Tempesti and the rest, Halle's expression was scrunched in concentration, keeping an ear out for mention of other magics and abilities. What he overheard was a pair of very...assured older knights. One a page. Well, it was a large enough group that they should be fine. There was a Mauvian, which was always a good sign. They tended to understand a little more, and sometimes had very strong magic at their call, if Snowball was anything to go by. The horrible yellow senshi was being horrible again. Joy was keeping things in check with her typical air of being in charge of, if not the group, at least herself. The complacent elder knights were getting a lecture on the social mores of space fights. The senshi in glasses and braids had trapping and healing magic. Basically, Halle missed out on almost the entirety of the beauty that surrounded them. Solaris began asking along the same lines as his thoughts in regards to constructs and had Halle nodding along, even as he made his way to a couple of familiar knights that he recognized as the friends Lisse sometimes fought beside. The Ganymede Knight, if Halle recalled correctly, was more of an offensive fighter. And he recalled the other Lysithea having to get carried off before innn...the fight on Fang? More defense could possibly be useful to them, and honestly, Halle was curious about the group his brother chose to fight alongside. The Lysithea Knight also seemed to have a decent grasp on the sort of weaknesses these types of enemies might have. With a nod as he came close, he commented, "If it becomes an energy situation, we can definitely wear them down." If Order could be pinned down to one, singular strength, Halle would say it was numbers. There would always, always be more where they came from.

Character Name: [x] Niflhel Knight of Saturn Action: Hanging in the back watching carefully. The knight had left the cat at home, he was glad he did. It seemed something dangerous going down and while Snowball could handle himself, it was perhaps better the cat stayed home.
There was a brow lofted as he watched and listened to Tempesti introduce where they were and what was going on. Huh, there was a city name? That was interesting, did other homeworlds have city names on them? It had caught his attention.
As did the critters on the homeworld. He kept his melancholy expression, except for his eyes, they were wondering curiously around the area. It was much different from Niflhel and from Polaris, it was also different from the Moon and the Mercury wonder that he could remember. So it sounded interesting that there was some sort of monster here to defeat. It had been quite a while since he'd joined a homeworld equivalent to a raid and was actually fairly excited that he might be of actual use. The thought of using his weapon on whatever plagued Tempesti had him ready to go, even if he was planning to hang back until it seemed most opportune for him to be the most help.
Granted there was always a need for someone to take up the rear, you never know when something was going to come from behind either.Character Name: [x] Cardinal, Senshi of the Uktena Action: Hanging in the back watching carefully. Cardinal answered a pull, it was something that some how - inexplicably seemed that she felt like she needed to be here.
The senshi softly stepped on the ground as she joined the rest of the group looking around at how pretty the place was, it seemed magical. Well it was magical, to be fair - they were all magical. It was something that still took getting use to. She hadn't completely come to terms with the fact that magic actually existed never mind the fact she'd been a senshi long enough it shouldn't be a great shock.
She could only fathom what the elders back in her native home would've thought. She hummed as she watched the creatures, some with stained glass wings - it was very pretty.
She was glad she'd decided to join the fray as she listened to Tempesti speak about needing assistance in the middle tower. Cardinal grinned as she looked around at how many there were, "Sounds like it'll be easy peasey with all of us here~" She said softly to no one in particular.
She hadn't been on an excursion like this yet, it was exciting and she was ready to go.

Character Name: Sailor TempestiAction: Leading people toward the Primordial Tower Tempesti smiled at the knight’s (Paradise) reassurance. Having a team to take this on with her was definitely a welcome change, even if some part of her would be constantly on edge until everyone was out of harm’s way. “Thank you, I…I really appreciate that.” She decided to leave out the dread that she might be leading these people into serious injury or worse. The sound of the unfamiliar Mauvian’s (Lucien) disapproval caught the senshi off guard, though it wasn’t the first time a guardian cat had reprimanded her on the subject of her…more adventurous decisions. She couldn’t exactly rebut his points, and she suspected that her excuse of wanting to keep others from harm wouldn’t make much of a difference in his opinion. “I…yes it might have been a bit reckless. Er, it was a bit reckless. I just thought it would be a bit too much to ask people to come here if I could manage it myself. That didn’t work out as well as I’d hoped.” A sheepish expression crossed her face as she spoke. The bespectacled senshi’s (Athene) offer was definitely appealing, keeping the constructs in place would hopefully give them enough of an advantage to stave off too much damage and any healing magic would mitigate at least some of it. “Trapping them sounds like a good plan, and having someone with healing skills nearby would definitely give me more peace of mind." Right, details about the constructs. She could help with that, turning her attention to Solaris she spoke, “Good to see you again, Solaris. They look almost like they’re made of stained glass, but they aren’t. I think it’s some kind of crystal sheet but I haven’t really studied them as much as I probably should have. I’ve seen what looks like some kind of power core in their chests but when I’ve disabled them I’ve used magic so I haven’t gotten a good look at them yet.” Thinking for a few more seconds she continued, “They all have…seams? I don’t know what they’re called, the lines between the panels. That might be a good place to aim on all of them. The flying ones are vulnerable at their wings, but the butterflies have these dart things and they won’t stop unless you damage the mechanism that fires them. The bee constructs can repair the other ones, but I wouldn’t want to destroy them. But you all are more important than keeping them in one piece so if that’s what it takes to keep you safe then don’t hesitate.” Giving the door a brief but almost contemptuous glance, Tempesti walks up the left staircase and through a smaller archway before leading the party through a series of winding corridors, each lined with timeworn mosaics and frescoes which give fragmented glimpses into the civilization that created them. Hints of wings, fractured faces, the edges of once verdant gardens, crack across the walls and floors until the group reaches a final, enormous bronze door. Unlike most other entryways within the palace complex, the heaviness of this barrier and the surrounding walls marks their builders’ intentions to fortify whatever lay beyond, protecting it from any unwanted visitors. A long-haired harpy cast in high relief gazes imperiously down upon the party from above, her bronze features eternally scrutinizing those who sought to cross her defenses. Wings spread as though frozen midflight, shifting, glowing images representing the elements surround her. Flames lick at her feet and a storm rages above her head. Her left wing stretches across a roaring sea as her right as a mountain quakes and rumbles by her right. A many-pointed star rendered in glowing crystal crowns the figure, awaiting the touch of Tempesti’s magic. “Bitter Blast!” As her magic surrounds her, the crystal’s glow erupts into a brilliant light, heralding a series of loud clunks which emanates from within the bronze encasement. A chorus of ancient internal mechanisms shift and groan with age before the door slowly swings open to reveal a surprisingly large grotto, its stone walls creating a naturally fortified space. The sparkling deep blue of a tranquil lake rings the small island upon which the Primordial Tower awaits. Bioluminescent insects among the verdant plants lining the water flash in sunset purples and oranges, disinterested in the newcomers as vague forms pulse with blue light just beneath the surface. Erupting from the center of the island is a monumental white tower, embraced and encircled by a broad ramp which spirals to its apex. Despite its presence in the center of the palace complex, the tower itself is of a style entirely distinct from the buildings in which it resides. Colossal stones shaped by artisans long lost to the currents of time lends the Primordial Tower a sense of ancient gravitas. At the tower's base humanoid figures patrol the area, catching the light in gleaming colorful facets. Though they appear to be made of stained glass, it seems unlikely that anyone would leave glass constructs to guard a site of such importance. After leading them to the midpoint of a narrow, white stone bridge Tempesti turns to face the party with an expression that is equal parts anxiety and barely contained excitement, “Well, here we are.”Quote: Tempestine Past World Aesthetic Inspiration ImagesThis marks the end of this segment. I will open the second thread tomorrow evening, hopefully around 7 PM Pacific time. Character Name: Poe, Page of MercuryCharacter Name: Paradise, Squire of CosmosAction: Poe and Paradise walking arm in arm, teasing Cynthus lightly. Paradise offering encouragement to Tempesti. Poe gave his daughter a small grin, trying to keep the humor light and tone easy, especially since he was trying not to worry about how she and her teenage friends often went out and did dangerous things together. It was fine. All of it was fine. If he didn’t pretend like it was fine, then he would just be a nervous wreck.
“Bombs, huh? Sounds like classic space drama rules to me,” he muttered, just loud enough for her to hear. “I was kind of hoping for more of a ‘we all make it to the end credits’ deal. You know, like in Star Trek VI and less like Alien. Hopefully nobody brought any bombs. Everything looks like it’d come crashing down if someone sneezed too hard.”
He was studying the place they’d been brought to, and the sight of the tower itself. The lake, the insects, the glass guardians… every piece of it felt like something pulled from myth. The bronze harpy and its ring of elements demanded awe, but Poe was more interested in the mechanisms Tempesti described. His mind churned with possibilities, theories, patterns…
He glanced down at Paradise, his arm squeezing hers just slightly as they walked.
“Don’t worry, if this was a disaster movie, I’d be the one delivering the dramatic one-liners before the explosion. You know, since I'm the old guy, and I've got too many speeches left in me, and my fedora’s at home,” he sighed dramatically, clearly missing out. “I’d make a pretty good looking hero, right? Don’t worry, the old guy always makes it.”
The words were meant to be comforting, even if the slight discomfort in his expression betrayed his own thoughts of invincibility and the more realistic mortality of it all. Still, he straightened himself up some, making himself look more unshakable, if only for her sake. He was supposed to be protecting them wasn’t he? “Cynthus! Don’t say that!” she gasped, but she was still beaming brightly, warm and indulgent as ever. “We’re going to survive just fine!”
She kept her arm linked with her brother’s, and when they came into view of the grotto, Paradise gasped again, this time with delight.
“Oh, look at this, Poe-- no, Cynthus, look at this! Isn’t it beautiful?” she breathed, sounding almost reverent, although her voice was more cheerful than anything. “It’s like stepping into a storybook.” The glowing insects, the water, the impossible tower rising like something from a dream.
“Don’t let your father convince you he’s boring,” she lowered her voice so only Cynthus, and likely Poe would hear. “He used to play the hero all the time when we were little. Just ask him how many times he fell off the roof trying to use a blanket to fly.”
Her laughter was bright, despite the embarrassed whines of protest from Poe.
She glanced over at Tempesti, noting her mixture of nerves and excitement, and gave her a beaming, reassuring smile. Cynthus might decide socializing wasn’t for her, but it was something Paradise thrived on.
“You’ve done wonderfully to get us this far, dear. You’ve brought us to the most magical spot in the universe, and I say that counts for something. Whatever’s waiting, we’ll make sure to face it together,” she nodded with joyful determination. There were so many Senshi and Knights there! They were definitely going to come out on top!
“Besides,” she added cheerfully as she nudged Poe’s arm, because she couldn’t help herself. “I think we’ve already broken the rules of space drama, haven’t we? Don’t go acting too serious and gloomy. Strategy is important, yes, but joy’s a weapon too. These tower guardians won’t know what to do with all this optimism!”

Character Name: Reims, Knight of GanymedeAction: With Dering. Bristling at Lisse Halle. Reims was halfway through muttering about constructs and cosmic traps when movement coming towards them caught his eye.
He froze.
Reims’s throat went dry and for a split second he wasn’t on a bridge in front of some ancient door -- he was in another moment in time when the ground felt like it had been pulled out from him. Unable to breathe, cruel laughter from someone who should care but didn’t and never would.
“Oh, you have got to be kidding me,” he muttered under his breath, arms crossing tighter over his chest.
“Not now,” he hissed, the words slipping out sharper than he’d intended, aimed squarely at the approaching Lysithea Knight. He knew it wasn’t fair that Reims had this reaction to him. It wasn’t that Lisse had even done anything particularly horrible, but he was just… overexcited? Offering things that were inadvertently dangerous?
“Seriously, now’s not a good time for snacks, Lisse.”
There was a flash of panic hidden beneath the irritation, because it was completely irrational for him to get so worked up about hypotheticals. But they were already someplace dangerous, and he stupidly hadn’t put an epipen in his subspace.
But even then, he couldn’t stop himself from bristling. He shifted closer to Dering without meaning to, not looking at him but needing the closeness.
He’d heard him, of course. He always paid attention to what Dering said, even if he didn’t always respond. And to what he didn’t say, just as he knew Dering was paying attention to him. There were others there, which was both reassuring and annoying. He didn’t want to spend the night being judged. But he was grateful that others would be there to keep an eye on Dering too.

Character Name: Blarney Page of EarthAction: Following the crowd, noticing people he knows, wondering what good a stick will do against robots ): More and more people kept showing up, and that filled Blarney with a crazy, wild hope that couldn't help but bring a huge smile to his face. That little memory of Halia's, the tiny Moon Queen there - she'd been right. There were so many of them. And this wasn't even all of the good guys who lived in Destiny City, probably! It also made him feel good that he wasn't surrounded by strangers - he knew some of these people. He had a relationship with some of these people, and that made him feel like all the homework, studying, working he'd been doing hadn't been an absolute waste of time. Not that he'd thought that was, really, but it made him feel like progress was being made, at least, which - when there was so much to do, so much to learn, so many people to talk to, it was easy to feel that the to-do list was never-ending. Blarney was going to catch up to Halle - maybe they could use this as a recruitment event! Once they were done with the robot-smashing, of course - when a giant pink fluffball caught his eye. A very familiar giant pink fluffball. Monch! "Monch!" Blarney called, darting over to join her, grin still fixed in place. "Fancy meeting you here," he said as they entered the palace itself. He was going to say more, but admittedly, his breath was caught by the ancient beauty of the place as he looked around, and then Tempesti was activating something with her magic, and his smile faded slightly. "Time to get to work, I guess. Wanna stick with me?" Blarney asked Monch - though he was really asking if he could stick with her; maybe, like before, they could protect each other from what ever had Tempesti so apprehensive. lizbot Sunshine twins v alien robots lesgoooo Character Name: Kua'kua of HelleboreAction: Awaiting instructions, ruminating Sailor Kua'kua could have stayed with her little cousins all day, but as the rest of the very-large group began to move - she had never seen so many powered people in one place, ever, in her life; in fact, she had probably never seen so many powered people even separately in her life before - she reluctantly released her attention on the beautiful little butterflies to join in on the hike. They were here for a reason, after all, and it wasn't to admire the scenery, beautiful though it was. Kua'kua looked up at the Primordial Tower, listening as Sailor Tempesti described the problems she faced within. She wasn't sure what good her attacks would be - she had never studied poison's effect on automatons, never having had the need to - but perhaps she could protect others, or distract attention so those who knew more about technology could do what needed to be done. The ache was still there, low and throbbing in her very heart of hearts. Her own planet had fallen to chaos, but here was a planet that was alive, and needed their help, and so many had answered the call. It sort of made her want to cry, but she had run out of tears sometime in the past couple hundred lonely years. She tried, instead, to focus on the hopeful feeling - perhaps, if so many had come to this Senshi's aid, they might come to hers as well, if she was ever able to devise a way to save her own planet, as this Senshi must have done as well. It was - inspiring, to be here, in this place, if nothing else. On Kua'kua, her position had been largely managerial and diplomatic, when she wasn't actively fighting the chaos that had encroached upon her home. She glanced around again at all the people gathered there, already seeing some people split into pairs or groups - Kua'kua was sure she was the newest person to Destiny City here, but she knew that those one was friends with weren't always the ones with whom it made the most sense to battle with. She wanted to speak up, to suggest some kind of order for splitting into teams or groups, to ensure at least that everyone had a healer nearby, in case things went badly, but... Kua'kua glanced at Tempesti again, and kept her mouth shut. This was not her planet, and it was not her place to try and control these strangers, who had no reason to listen to her anyway. Tempesti was their leader, and Kua'kua would do as commanded without hesitation.

Character Name: Ephesus, Knight of the MoonAction: Holding Amarynthos’s hand, stepping toward the bridge, watching the constructs. Ephesus’s breath caught as the bronze doors were opened, revealing the hidden grotto. He squeezed Amarynthos’s hand again, this time not just out of affection but because the sight before them was overwhelming in a different way. The glowing insets, the great tower rising high above, the shining water -- it was all so magical, and a little terrifying. He was glad they didn’t have these kinds of things at their Wonders.
“It’s even more beautiful here,” he breathed, eyes bright as he took in the light reflecting from the water. For a few moments, his freckles shimmered stronger, almost as if they were echoing the glow around them.
But then his gaze caught the patrolling figures. The shimmer faltered and he shifted closer to Amarynthos.
“Those are the constructs, aren’t they?” he whispered as if they could hear him if he spoke too loud. “They really do look like stained glass. Tempesti said they had power cores? I wonder what makes them… um, work I guess. Or think. If they even think at all. Do you think it’s going to be anything like that other place? Astraya?” He hoped not. He couldn’t say he was very fond of robots.
He looked between Sessrumnir, Alastor, and Lucien -- and now Solaris -- as if reassured just by their presence, then he nodded to Amarynthos with a stubborn welling of determination. “We’ll be okay.” Quote: Powered Passive: When Ephesus is feeling hopeful and at peace, his freckles and hair will start to shimmer as if kissed by moonlight. This is subtle and does not offer enough light for Ephesus to see in the dark, but others may be able to see him. Those in close proximity to him while his passive ability is active may feel more at peace, or feel like it is safer for them to relax. If he is stressed or upset, the shimmering stops until he has calmed again.

Character Name: Super Sailor Chibi OortAction: Sticking with Oberon and following after Tempesti "They were chocolate chip" Oort said to Oberon in a deadpan voice, although the slight upward twitch of his lips likely gave him away–
And whilst the response, four words in all, wasn’t much of a response or even a defense, Oberon had known him long enough to know how he got over chocolate chip cookies.
After all it wasn’t much of a secret that chocolate chip cookies were his personal downfall and about the only the thing that would have made them better would have been if he (or rather Briar) had managed to time it perfectly and get to the shop as they were pulling them from the oven.
Still that was likely a problem for another day, as Oort doubted that there were going to be any more cookies in the immediate future - be they chocolate chip or otherwise.
He nodded as Oberon mentioned that it was something that potentially would be a fun adventure.
"Complete with potentially murd.." he paused, catching himself and correcting it with mock innocence "I mean unfriendly constructs."
Oort deliberately matched his pace to Oberon as Tempesti led them through a series of winding corridors that ended in another bronze door, reddish eyes narrowing in interest at the grotto revealed to lie beyond it after she used magic to open the door.
A thoughtful frown flitted across his face as he followed after Tempesti towards a narrow white bridge, reddish eyes sharpening as they took in the large white tower with what appeared to be some sort of ramp spiralling upwards to its highest point.------ Character Name: Eternal Sailor AtheneAction: Following after Tempesti and staring at the tower and the constructs For his part Athene had trailed behind Tempesti as she guided the group through a labyrinth of twisting corridors, his gaze lingering on the timeworn mosaics and frescoes, finding himself curious about the people that had once shaped this place– And then he had found his thoughts wandering to his own home world, because it had been too long since he’d last had the chance to visit his asteroid. After he promised himself silently. The corridors had ended at another bronze door, one that Tempesti had opened with her magic. Athene had stepped through following the others, his eyes taking in the grotto beyond as he followed Tempesti to a narrow white bridge - and then he’d found his eyes lifting to take in the imposing-looking white tower that was apparently their destination, and the ramp that encircled it that seemed to spiral ever upwards, before shifting downwards to take in the glittering figurines patrolling at its base, each one gleaming with silent vigilance– And whilst he knew that Liryn would be annoyed to have missed this, a part of Athene couldn’t help but feel quietly relieved that the call hadn’t seemed to reach his mauvian friend. Because the little mauvian was well known for charging headfirst into things, and Athene would rather not have to try and pull his friend out of trouble.
