Family/Mate Knox (adoptive father) [Shadda], Ari (adoptive sibling)
Species Notes Slaugh:
1. Family: concept is very loose to Sluagh 2. Promises: Blowing everyone off or breaking promises is highly frowned upon. Keeping your word is a serious matter to Sluagh, and those that continually prove to be unworthy of trust are often given the cold shoulder 3. Tend to value brains over brawn 4. Borrowing: There’s a general sense of "what's yours is mine, and what's mine is yours" among Sluagh 5. All Sluagh children are raised to be highly suspicious of outsiders- your Sluagh student may have a hard time opening up at first! 6. Friends: likely naturally gravitate to Cherub childrenDislike/Distrust: Elven kids (taught never to start an altercation however)
Fuchi Notes 1. Battery 2. Likes extremely hot temps 3. Enjoys working with their hands, it’s why they chose pottery as their profession 4. Can’t keep a clean workspace/house 5. Enjoys other forms of art but pottery calls to them the most

Species Notes Geist:
1. One of weaker races, incredibly agile, ability to fade and teleport short distances makes rather difficult to hit w traditional weapons 2. With proper training & focus, may gain ability to become entirely invisible w/o aid of magic 3. Natural cunning & intelligence 4. Naturally gifted with wielding magic 5. When they apply themselves, great capacity for spell casting 6. Many often describe how able to "feel" the qualities of the energy and materials used to perform magic, often finding easier to take a more abstract approach than one of intense study and ritual 7. Natural ability to hover/levitate own bodies. Adults can accomplish about 2-3 feet in height (emotionally compromised Geist may have trouble focusing on hovering however) 8. They believe that children are best raised communally (often considered negligent parents if they try to raise their children in a household with no less than five adults) 9. They often tease and steal from their prospective partners in a complicated system of stealing, leaving trinkets, flaunting what they've stolen, and having it stolen back. More committed Geists will often plan elaborate heists together as a show of daring, skill and commitment. (traditional courtship rituals are often lost on prospective partners of other races, instead misunderstood as cruelty instead of playful affection) 10. Note that Geists traditionally tend toward romantic triads, instead of couples 11. Geists value cunning and manipulation above all else. Even young Geists are incredibly skilled at manipulation. (Does not mean that Geists lack a strong moral compass. Young Geists are taught to exercise temperance and restraint – if you harm others you open the door to harm yourself, you do not steal what you don't wish to be stolen, and you do not trick someone you do not want to be tricked by. Because of this, most Geists are careful about what they take and who they take it from.)
1 roleplay indicating what they've gotten out of university. This can be a solo. (Solo rps must be 250 words minimum!) Have attended six classes that pertain to your major.

Litch:
1. Due to a curse, called The Rot, Litches often look sickly with patches of "rot" all over their bodies. Despite appearances they are far from death's door, they just look like they're going to fall over at any minute 2. Do not have sharp teeth, hands end in bony claws that are quite sharp 3. Due to influence of The Rot, they do not have the same capacity for sensation that the living do. With enough mental focus, they are nearly immune to pain, but the more they block this sensation, the less they are able to sense the world around them, resulting in poorer reflexes. However, one skilled in this ability will be able to slip in and out of this state with ease 4. Dampened senses cause difficulty relating to other races. Time often "gets away from" a Litch, especially that of scholars. By nature, they prefer occupations that require intense thought and concentration, as they are not easily distracted from what they are focusing on 5. Not immortal but they live for hundreds of years longer than the other races 6. Due to their patience and studious culture, Litches have a tendency toward being very skilled with nearly all varieties of magic – especially alchemy. Add to their incredible mental and physical stamina and you have an incredible capacity for even the most powerful and exhausting magic. Litches who involve themselves with powerful magic must be very careful, however, due to their dampened senses it is often too late before they realize how self-destructive some magic can be 7. Only race that has true handle on necromantic magic. This ability lets them control death more easily than all of the other races, whether it be reanimating dead creatures to do their bidding, staving off death or using the dead for incredibly powerful divination. However this is a place where even the most powerful Litches tread with care 8. Litch families are often very tight-knit. Not entirely uncommon to find upwards of eight generations of one family line living in the same city or village. Litches (along with Geists and Imps) are the most likely to imbue soul stones with three spirits, as they often take more than one companion at a time 9. Generally very shy and incredibly subtle with their shows of affection, instead preferring to make friends with their mates before committing entirely 10. Three main tenants of Litch society are patience, knowledge and temperance. Litch society values working carefully and efficiently, rather than rashly and without proper understanding of what they are doing 11. The tenant they struggle most with is temperance, as it is often hard for them to pull their focus away from something once they have really gotten into it. A wise Litch understands that work is not everything and everyone must live a life with balanced parts 12. They often come off as cold and distant to the other races, because by nature, they’re incredibly cerebral and focused. Not because they don't care, but because they tend to have a hard time picking up on the subtleties of expression and body language unless it is a skill they have studied and learned. Litches are, however, taught to be very polite and to choose their words carefully before using them, as to not harm others 13. Once they were a race of unmarred elven humanoids that evolved alongside the Demons in the lost lush jungles of Auster (The memory and record of these events has been lost to time, however) 14. Consider Imps their closest allies, but have since grown incredibly fond of the Fallen, due to cultural similarities. They are still a bit wary of the Geists, Demons and Baphomet, often finding their respective cunning and passion a bit overwhelming
Chimera:
1. Thick, textured horns come in a variety of sizes, from small nubs to long, graceful curves. Tails are also very strong and are their most deadly physical weapon 2. While the spikes on their tails are fairly blunt, many Chimera warriors will file them down into sharp points. One swipe of their tail can easily eviscerate. (Most Chimera are content to keep them unsharpened, as to not have to worry about accidentally slicing open their mattresses, pets, and anything that accidentally gets in the way of their tails) 3. Claws are naturally sharp, however, due to the fact that they are used for clinging to the rocky sides of cliffs. Those who live more sedentary lives must trim and file their claws and toenails to keep them from getting in the way (and to save their shoes from certain doom) 4. Most Chimera tend to possess an innate ability for magic. Many young Chimera still living among their kind learn to wield fire-magic from early on, due to the fact that it is how they build their structures out of the cliffs and peaks of mountains. You would be hard-pressed to find Chimera architects and construction workers (reverently called cliffshapers) who don't know how to use very strong fire magic to melt, carve and shape dwellings out of mountain rock 5. Natural ability to breathe fire 6. Before the 50 Year War, their best relationship was with the Litches, who posed little threat, being ground dwellers. Sometime in the past, the Chimera agreed to let the Litches use their mines. It was a relationship of mutual advantage – the Chimera, disliking the cramped tunnels that made flight impossible, allowed the Litches to mine beneath their mountains in exchange for a cut of the minerals they produced 7. Chimera born from stones in the Great Cache will likely struggle with the idea that they are not part of a clan 8. Chimera must decide eventually whether or not they will attempt to rejoin the Chimera located in The Scepters, or continue to live their lives among the other races

Names Chartreuse & Peridot Race Shade Gender Male Relationship Prefs All Occupation Grendel Student - Classical Dance
Chartreuse and Peridot Notes 1. Chartreuse likes classic dance, such as ballroom dancing while Peridot prefers ballet 2. Will never do a performance at a public event
Family/Mate
Species Notes Shade
1. Physical:
A. Petite creatures B. Luxurious coats that keep in heat (do best in colder climates and tend to feel rather sickly in the heat) C. Bottoms of their feet are rougher than the average nm or dm, allowing them to traverse most terrain without pain D. Heightened sense of hearing, makes them naturally sensitive to loud noises (can result in Shades shying away from crowds, sporting events, concerts, firework displays, or even particularly loud people) E. Their tails have giant mouths riddled with sharp teeth, but the mouths are also sentient. Often given their own names, a Shade’s tail has its own personality, likes and dislikes. While they are of a lesser intelligence, their tails are able to form simple, but often fractured, sentences. Their communication skills are limited by their brain power and peculiar mouth shape. The shape of the mouth makes it difficult for a Shade’s tail to articulate eloquently F. Shades themselves have quite flexible tongues. Their mother tongue (called Totlec by non-Shades) is spoken entirely in clicking sounds that resembles the sound of bugs, and is completely unable to be spoken by other races that do not share Shade genes G. Thanks to the flexibility of a Shade’s tongue, Shades are able to pronounce sounds from almost any other language with ease if they take an interest in learning. However, they have to dedicate many hours to learning other languages if they wish to master them. Spoken word can be quite difficult for their minds to switch to, as they have grown accustomed to their use of clicks. (A child raised from birth around other races, or a hybrid child having grown up speaking multiple languages would likely struggle less) H. Host (as Shades are often referred) and tail share one stomach, meaning whatever the other eats fills both tail and host’s belly. Due to their connection, both are able to taste what the other has eaten, which can lead to interesting scenarios as not all tails and hosts share the same food preferences I. Shades have unique eyes that a usually almond shaped. Some can even have four eyes. Eyes can see perfectly in the dark, and they can see heat if they focus enough. Those with four eyes are able to see further, and ones with two can see detail better. Eyes do not have a standard iris. Instead, they’re a solid color. (If you look close enough you can see a bullseye pattern where a pupil would typically be) J. Incredibly fast and have high stamina, making them one of the fastest racers K. Tails are able to bite through metal and lock their jaws. They’re also heavy, making them useful to knock someone over if given the opportunity to build up enough momentum
2. Shades are skilled in only shadow magic, and have an unusual ability to make shadows become tangible. (However they struggle with other magics, and they often cannot use magic on their own without extensive training from another person) 3. Shades often prefer smaller families. Keeping their numbers fewer ensures that less damage can be caused to their own. If Shades ever need to uproot and flee from danger or threat, keeping their numbers lower will ensure an easier escape 4. Shared mindset among pure Shades that family units should not imbue more than once, and never more than two stones 5. They do not like their own having romantic or close familial bonds with anyone outside of Chomps or Shades. Some families may even struggle to accept if one of their own decides to adopt someone of another race (It isn't uncommon for Shades, out of fear, to shun those who bring other races into their family circle) 6. Shades hold a personal prejudice against poly relationships, and they often prefer a monogamous relationship 7.
