1. Student describes in as much detail as possible what kind of room could be in Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory.
2. Must be at least 150 words total
3. ??? Profit!

Username: irishgirl1017
Student Name: SnowLily

Response:

SnowLily was giddy, she got to describe in detail what type of room she thought would be in the Chocolate Factory.

Grabbing her pencil she began to doodle and write out ideas for her room.

A small lollipop began to take shape on her paper then another one appeared, then another. Very well Lollipop Room she declared the title.

"Now children you must not lallygag, there is alot of time and not much to do it in. ~sighs~ Reverse that, not much time and alot to do, hurry along" was heard as the children hurried to catch up to Charlie.

Of course one of the children already broke the rules and paid dearly for touching the chocolate, being sucked up and taken across the factory must have been a fun ride but not something a rule obeying child would do.

"Very well my little children, we are coming up to a room that is one of my favorites. In here all sorts of magic is made" with a whoosh the door opened and everywhere you looked was lollipops!

There was tall lollipops, short lollipops, gigantic lollipops, itty bitty lollipops. All different colors, shapes and sizes. The door even had lollipop handles!

There was lollipop dollhouses, lollipop forts, lollipop bridges that went over a stream of what appeared to be juice with lollipops floating in it, lollipop balloons that floated in the air, lollipop clouds near the ceiling, lollipop suns and moons on the ceiling with stars as well. Everywhere you looked was lollipops! It was so beautiful, and the smell in the air was so sweet. It smelled like all the fruits mixed together with sugar tossed on top.

SnowLily wandered over to the light colored blue one and reached out to grasp it when it was plucked away by the mean Kirin! "Hey I was reaching for that!" the Kirin smirked at her and wandered off licking the lollipop.

Shrugging SnowLily moved over to the side and found a beautiful light Green lollipop shaped like a finger paint set. She loved it on sight and the taste was indescribable. She sat there on the cool step enjoying her one lollipop while the other children ran and destroyed the beautiful room. Feeling sad that the other children could not appreciate what Mr Wonka had done, it was not right for those children to behave in such a way. Tears began to come in her eyes, and a few dropped before she could stop them. Wiping them away quickly she did not see Mr. Wonka watching her.

A few moments later he clapped his hands and said "Children enough, time to go to the next room on our little tour" walked over and clasped SnowLily by the hand and walked with her out the door without looking back at the other children.

Response:

Seriously? Write about what kind of room she thought would be in a Chocolate Factory? Ugh, Dayanara was not a sweets child, she preferred healthy snacks. They were better for you.

Staring at her paper for what seemed an eternity, she decided to write what she knew and that was vegetables. She probably would fail this assignment but it is what she knows.

Vegetable Room!!!!!!

"Yes little ones I know a Vegetable Room in a Chocolate Factory? You say ridicilous? I say genius!" he laughed as he twirled about the room with his cane in the air.

"You see not every child likes sweets, some prefer the natural goodness of vegetables. I want every child to be happy with my creations, therefore I created candy out of vegetables! They taste like candy, chocolate and the like but are made out of real vegetables! Some even taste like the vegetable they are made from but a tad bit sweeter, just to give a sweet flavor since I am a candy maker"

Everywhere you looked was rows and rows of what appeared to be Vegetables. All kinds and sizes, some grew in stalks, others round, others in rows, some even grew in pods with several in one pod!

The children stared at him like he had two heads, Dayeon stepped up and asked politely if he could try a piece. "Of course my dear child, you may choose anything you like" he gestured all around him. Looking about Dayeon spied what looked like a Carrot, one treat he loved. Picking it out of the ground, he bit into it and immediately was greeted by the taste of sweet but salty tang of the Carrot. Taking another bite he was fascinated and continued until there was nothing left.

Looking up at Mr. Wonka, he thanked him and said it was delicious. Smiling he went back to the group of children to await the next destination. One of the children nudged him and said "You liked that for real, its a vegetable!" his reply was "Yes I did, it was very good and I hope I can get more of it" with that he walked off.

Response: Billie scrawled in the words on the assignment, somewhat bored with a smidge of rebellion. This was just easy and they knew how to spell their name, okay. They sighed, scribbling eyes and flowers over the dots of the I’s. Hm maybe they should have picked a theme but ehh, it wasn’t really that important enough to apply that much effort to. Billie hummed to a song they half caught when traveling the halls while applying art to their assignment. It had been catchy and they wished they had heard enough to place the artist. Maybe Rana would know it.

Ooh! She could do this! Rosline giggled to herself as she started to write in bright purple gel pen. It was pretty and purple, like her feathers and markings. She would pick the best words, yes she would! About love and romance, and nice things, though she wasn’t sure about the last one. She had heard it through watching soap operas and it seemed to be part of passionate forbidden love, eloping off. She was sure it had something to do with dating or marriage. She doodled little hearts on the tops of her few I’s. Maybe she should have picked more words with I in them. It looked a bit sparse.

Planet Description: Antoinette bemusedly looked at her picture, thoughtful and perhaps a bit lost. That was a lobster in a bucket. They were delicious. The assignment though, focus, Netty.

Okay, so it was an aquatic world, that made sense, about 90 percent water and mainly saline and well, she liked salt water. It had a buoyancy and a nice taste to it. Lots of shallow seas and sand banks and huge beds of kelp forests so the inhabitants had places to hide and stuff to eat. Corals as well, in bright tones of pink and purples and oranges and sea fans that plumed out their feather ferns and pulled in when being eaten.

The inhabitants were sea dwellers, with flexible and multiple arms and the ability to contort into small places. They biolumense and flashed blue to warn off predators. They ate the kelp and other seaweeds, the fish, the mollusks and sometimes would sun on the sand banks and the rocks.

The planet was mostly warm, tropical like but becoming temperate at the polls but with no permanent ice. The water was mainly too salty for ice though some innlets were full of fresh water.

The inhabitants worshipped a giant lobster god and used the stars and sun to navigate. They also used them to track the tides and when the large predators which were large sleek mammalian like noodles of fur with sharp rows of backward facing teeth would migrate from land mass to land mass.

Antoinette tapped her pen. Perhaps a bit more about the wildlife? Fish, mollusks, they needed rays. Large and gentle rays that the inhabitants could catch rides on. She nodded continuing to write. The inhabitants farm kelp and mollusks for the rays which they use to travel long distances over the zones of still blue water.

Student Name:Sally
Number Rolled: 93

Planet Description: A desert world for sure, dry and hot with temperatures spiking in the hundred during the day and plunging to near near freezing at night. Sally traced the mountain ridges it looked like snow but what if it was salt. Just hundreds, thousands of pounds of salt left over from oceans that had dried up and retreated to the distance. Shallow salty seas that were mirror like and shimmering and could be splashed through.

The inhabitants would be scaled and lanky but also small in statue to lose heat quickly and keep close to the cooler soils. They would live underground and get freshwater by running the salt water through filters and finding fresh underwater streams and filters.

There would be mostly lichen and mushrooms for plants but also cacti and ocasional gnarl shrub and tree, spiny with interlocking reaching branches and hidden sweet fruits if one can get inside.

The wildlife is mostly small creatures that depend on the rain season to grow and get large and reproduce and mostly burrow and hibernate in between. Mudfishes and frogs and snakes and rodents of all sorts. The biggest of the rodents get to fifteen pounds and dust bathe. The inhabitants use their pelts to keep warm at night.

They don’t burn wood, instead use phrosporus rocks to make light and keep the burrows warm. The air is thin and on the mountain peaks it is difficult to breathe.

The rain season is short and heavily celebrated with much rejoicing as a lot of grass and flora only shows during the month and a half. The rainy season brings a sea of grasses and stubby flowering plants that quickly grow, bloom, and ripen and just as quickly harvested.

Response: Bledid Thought for a long time on what words he could use for his name, he didn't want just any words, he wanted words that described him, or what he wanted to do. There were a few words that Bledid like, but he felt like that the words did not describe him whatsoever so he passed over them. Bledid Jotted down what words he liked and started to pick most of the words that dealt with books or some form of literature. Bledid only stopped at the last three letters of his name, he was unsure what to put here, as none of the words that started with D didn't describe what he wanted to do so he started to put words that described himself.

He sighed to himself as he looked over some words again, Khnurn was very indecisive as he would add words to a list and then erased just to add another word. Khnurn scratched the back of his head as he started to cut down on the words, he noticed there was a lot of words he could use, but the ones that he was using appealed to him more than the others. Khnurn didn't have any meaning to what he used for words, he just liked them

Student Name: Thian
Character Chosen: Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean
How are they a Leader?: "On the surface, Captain Jack Sparrow appears to be nothing more than a feckless sot. But I believe he displays a number of qualities vital in a leader, the most important of which is confidence. One of the things I have learned in school that has nothing to do with lessons is that confidence can get anybody to follow you. Hell, it can get anybody to do anything for you. I think that the times when Captain Jack dropped the ball were the times when he started to care too much. You've got to treat people a little like meat to lead them, otherwise you think you're on top when you're really a doormat."

Response: At least once a day, Thian was reminded in a different way how glad he was that Amory was his best friend. Today that feeling of smug satisfaction had been triggered by the fact that she had shared this assignment with him a couple of weeks back when she'd had it in her own language arts class. He hadn't done more than think about it in passing, and he certainly hadn't written anything yet, but that didn't stop him from standing up and improvising, sharing his admiration for Captain Jack before many of his classmates had even chosen a subject.

Once he was done, the demon bent forward in a brief, mocking bow and took a seat. The rest of the class time was his to do with what he wished, but he was predictably doomed to remain bored, having brought nothing with him to actually do.

Response: Marrow looked at his paper, dreading the fact that he needed to use something even remotely personal for this assignment. How would he make something even remotely creative? Lately he has been struggling with behavioral issues with the other freshlings, and honestly it was taking a toll on him. “Stupid name. Stupid words,” the child grumbled beneath his breath before picking up his pencil and scribbling down whatever words came to mind first. They weren’t hard, but they did make the boy reflect, which was something he often tried to avoid. This was exactly why he hated language arts class.

Easy peasy, quickly finished assignment. She’d decided to finish this one quickly. She hated doing schoolwork, the less time spent on it, the happier she was.
