"That's okay, Amatsu, I only have you, Mikazuki and your dad as my friends right now." She said, smiling down at him. She didn't get to talk to him long, though, as he ran off to join a friend after all. Tempo chuckled and turned her attention to Yami. She didn't think he meant the 'it's good Amatsu's gone' comment the way it came out, so she didn't point it out. "I don't think you have to worry about him too much, Yami. It's better to have a few quality friends than a lot of friends that don't really care, you know?"
"Oh, the festival is wonderful! We had some in my village, but never to this...extent. There are so many people here having fun." Tempo sent Yami a shy smile as she nibbled at a chocolate skull. She wondered if the kids would be okay in this huge crowd, but it really did seem like there were adults looking out for them everywhere. "I haven't eaten yet. Well, nothing but some candy. You have a place in mind?" she asked as someone slipped a bracelet and a plush into her pail.
Nasaiki
Natasha calmed down, but she wasn't happy about the trick pulled on her brother. Who put a skull in a kid's trick or treat pail? The thing looked real too. Natasha sent an evil eyed glare at the caretaker and swished her tails in irritation. Her mood didn't improve, either, when someone slipped her two different dolls either. One gave of a weird vibe, not scary, just odd. The other...was kind of cute? Maybe?
It was definitely time to get the heck away from the caretaker, though. There was much to explore, and not enough freedom to do so. All she needed was a minor distraction to help them slip away.
"Natasha, look what that guy gave me." Misha said, shoving the spider under Nat's nose and getting a start from his twin. He smirked, knowing that she was too deep into thought to have seen the massive spider plush coming. He was hit by some instant karma, though, as some gummy poo flew through the air to land on his forehead. Uck. This stuff looked so nasty. Misha threw it into his pail as his sister laughed at him.
The little imp was enjoying himself, even though random things kept getting thrown through the air, the overall atmosphere was fun, not malicious. The next house he got to gave him a chocolate bat and as Jasper turned to leave, he accidentally stepped on something. It was a batty plush that was purple and black. Score! He'd seen some of these at the vendors lining the street. The plush was scooped up and deposited in his pail.
Anastara followed her family to the trick or treating event. She remembered that this time last year she had said something terrible about the Hallowed and it had landed her a brother. Not that she minded anymore, Thayne was pretty awesome for a brother. Ana grabbed her pail and waded into the crowd. She hoped that she could meet up with someone outside the family and have some fun. Mama had said she and Thayne were old enough to wander on their own this year. She quickly got a large bag of candy corn and wandered around, munching on her treat.
Odessa couldn't help but flush as he said that. She shook her head a little, trying to rid herself of her embarrassment. "You... don't have to get me anything." She said quickly. Even though she meant it, it didn't mean she wouldn't be happy if he did give her something, of course, she would be, she just didn't want to make him get her something. She nibbled her lip when she saw the puppet, still not sure if she thought those things were terrifying or cute. "They're... definitely different..." She said aloud.
Kara had no intention of mentioning the wings. She thought they were pretty, but she could understand how some people were self-conscious about their differences. So she just smiled, a warm friendly smile that she always used when meeting new people. "It's nice to meet you, Somansh! I'm Kara." She knew that Yihad had said her name, but she still thought it was polite to introduce herself officially.
She turned to look at Yihad as hu spoke. "Oh! This is Odessa, my best friend, and this is her boyfriend, Lazarus. Everyone, this is Yihad and Somansh." She smiled, happy that Odessa would get to meet her friend.

"Oh? Thanks..." Harley picked up the weird rock that was placed in her bucket. Her mood instantly changed. Before she felt happy, know she wanted to cry. But she didn't want to cry in front of Echo. She looked away, dropping the rock quickly and then feeling oddly normal. What was that thing?
"THANK YOU!" Yuta was to hyped up on the things that were happening around him, and then he got some fluffy stuff in his bucket. Wait, he can it it? It looked like a cloud!! Yuta was so ready to bit into the deliciousness, but he also wanted to save his haul for later. Decisions, decisions...
"Thank... You?" Sunan picked up the thing that was placed in his bucket. He was a bit confused with what it was exactly, but he knew he shouldn't open it. Who knows what's actually in there.
There was a plop and of two things in the freshling's bucket. Alex was so excited to get another plush in their bucket and this weird glowing thing? They put it around their neck, it was cool and a little eery. Hopefully there wasn't anything bad inside it.
Well, that settled it. A new addition to the house. A look of concern flickered across his face at Tomoe's rather... frightened expression- at least, more frightened than usual. He opened his mouth to ask, but all that came out was a small "Ahh!!" as he felt something latch onto his leg. His fur poofed up a little in response, and he nervously looked down to see what it was... A revenant? With a bag of stale popcorn tied to one of its wings... How sad.
"U-uh..." Slowly he leaned down to untie it... and then the clumsy creature held its arms open for him to pick it up. Oh no. Oh no. That was-- he turned to look back at Tomoe and Maria. "C-C-...can I keep it...?"
Yushika
Arm. Around his shoulder. Ganymede took a moment to register it- but once he did his markings let out a ripple of light a few times before he was able to get himself under control. Nine, he really did not want to come off as overly giddy- but honestly... It wasn't like he had a lot of physical contact with people normally due to his over sensitivity- but this was just off the charts. Now the question was what should he do? Wrap an arm around Foras's waist?? was that normal?? "Huh? oh--" Foras was already directing him somewhere else, though. He settled for just... awkwardly tucking himself up against his tall friend for now.
The house he'd picked certainly looked scary. He had to take a moment to look at it before nodding. "Uh, sure. That looks fine." Were those floorboards worse for wear on purpose, or was this really an old house in disrepair...? Gany wasn't sure, but soon after setting foot into the place he was accosted by a rain of old candy and a plush toy. Great. He ended up pressing up against Foras to try and dodge the incoming objects, but some of the candies still made it into his cauldron as well as, somehow, the plushie.

Honestly Damien wasn't even bothered that Bailey was laughing- though that was mostly because he ended up suffering the same fate he had. He snorted and laughed, actually sounding a bit like a bleat there for a second as he watched Bailey try to wrestle with the nezubat.
Oh- there was another person to talk to? Damien turned his gaze on Marrow, squinting a little as he did. This was potentially going to complicate things... a three-man team was hard enough, but a four-man team...?? Well, he supposed it would just test his scheming skills! Exactly!
He didn't bother extending a hand to Marrow, just nodded at Bailey's introduction. "Well since everyone is gathered you should listen to my extremely important plan to get more treats." He nodded, trying to sound as serious as possible. It was difficult to do when someone plopped a... he wasn't even sure what it was, but it looked fuzzy... but anyway, apparently the word 'treat' had prompted the stranger to give him the mysterious fuzz and a bag of candy. Score! Even if it had taken him off track...

Pangur played a few games here and there, but honestly this was beginning to get rather tiresome. He should just head home...

Meimu eventually found a game to play, though all he got out of it was a skeleton plush. What sort of skeleton was it even supposed to be? He tucked it into his pail, then continued on to the next game... though ended up tripping over a skull with a melted candle attached to it... Who just left skulls lying around in a fairground!? At least he could use it. He stuffed it into his pail and then continued on.
Her tails swishing around in excitement, Hikari pranced up to another booth, finding that the vendor appeared to be in a very good mood as well. He tossed two things into her bucket, and she thanked him profusely before carrying on her way.
Elspeth approached a small booth, a cautious smile on her face. The vendor waved her over, and tossed a small bag of eyeball candies at her. Slightly confused, Elspeth placed the candy into her bucket and continued on.
Saitama was having the time of his life at the festival. Free candy was definitely something he felt should be offered far more regularly than a single festival per year! Stopping at yet another booth, Saitama managed to collect more than just candy, which he couldn't decide if that pleased him or if he would have preferred more candy...
Yui stood next to some sort of fluffy candy vendor, staring up at the booth with her mouth hanging slightly open. The fluffy candy was so pretty and delicious looking, but she did not want to ask for it. Finally noticing her, the vendor laughed at the dreamy look on the Freshlings face, and handed her a cone of the stuff.
Azura was beginning to get tired, and becoming more and more aware of the fact that her sister was nowhere to be seen. The Vendor she had just seen had barely given her a glance before tossing a rock into her bucket. She wasn't sure she understood why she had gotten such an item, but nevertheless she had accepted it as part of her loot hoard. The young Elf sat down on a bench, feeling rather lonely, when a small dark but sort of glowly figure jumped up beside her. A new friend? Azura held her hand out for the strange looking vespercat.
Corrin was stilling quite enjoying her freedom, running from booth to booth collecting various prizes. Corrin held her bucket up to yet another vendor, who dropped something cute looking, and something small and sort of heavy in comparison to other things in her bucket. Shrugging, without bothering to check her plunders, Corrin continued on merrily.
Xiaoshi noticed that their eyes flicked up to the nezubat. Xiaoshi thought it was rather cute but some people supposedly hated bats. They weren’t bat haters were they? Well everyone was allowed to dislike what they liked but... and now her tails were being stared at. Well there she didn’t have to worry she always took excellent care of her tails so they always looked amazing, and it wasn’t the first time she was stared at. Xiaoshi figured being a hallowed the hybrid probably got stared at lot. It was only fair they get to stare at people as well.
However when Maple said that’s good Xiaoshi just couldn’t help herself and ended up laughing. “Well I’m glad you think so." I guess Manners dictate that I introduce myself since we did collide into each other. I'm Xiaoshi, a pleasure to meet you”
Amatsu started shutting down when he noticed the stitches and he could barely keep his breath straight. Why would someone do something like that to a poor animal. It couldn’t fight back. All it wanted was to love someone and have a family. If they didn’t want it they should have just… but then just getting rid of it wasn’t good either. The person left behind was soo lonely and no one should feel unwanted and no he couldn’t cry. He wouldn’t cry. Lapis would be disgusted and he felt like they could be friends. She really liked cats. Lapis just needed to keep on looking at the fennekit, he could pull himself together he could.
“Really mean people” was his answer he hated how his breath hitched through the sentence. He was soo worked up that he totally didn’t notice the older lady feeling sorry for him and sliding a plushie into his bag.
Yushika
Oran noticed that some kids where messing around and totally trying to rip apart this plushie. Something just came over her and she walked over grabbing the plushie out of their hands. It was just a plushie. Sure it looked a little bit strange but that wasn’t a reason to rip it apart. Of course when she realized what she had just done she backed up a bit considering they were all staring at her with scared expressions. They predictably ran having been caught, although one of the older ones pushed her really hard as they ran off and she staggered back a bit and into another nightmare. Oh… oh this was soo embarrassing. “Oh I’m sorry. Really really sorry” Oran apologized and looked up. Oh it was litch, their stiches kind of reminded Oran of Keres.

“Well you know. It’s what helps keep me alive. If I stay hella unpredictable then they never know what to expect. Besides you should have seen the look on your face when I did recite back.” Vanna replied scrunching up his nose when Kingston poked him in the chest, “although I guess I did get back at you later on that day” yeah he had skipped diving under the table from the story whenever he was talking to Mai. “haha you could try to get away. I’d still find you” Vanna stated in a slightly creepy sing song voice and then blinked. How… what the… was that another plushie in his bag. When did that get in there and why were people giving him plushies. He made a face, although he wondered if he just set them all up on his desk what kind of looks they would produce.
Ren smiled, he almost wanted to make a joke about Kingston having to worry about him too if he stole Mai away but they weren’t like that and he didn’t know Kingston well enough to joke around. He was getting better at talking with people but sometimes he was still really awkward. Still it was obvious that Kingston was joking so he just laughed. “Oh… oh considering that face I would say no”
It was then a yelp caught his attention and he looked down at a fennekit who was looking at the one on Kingston’s shoulder. It seemed almost pleased? Ren wondered if they were friends. He had heard familiars when they were stray often chose the nightmare they went home with. So maybe this one knew its friend would be happy now….or maybe ren was just romantic. Still he picked the fenniket up so it could be eye level with its friend. The fennekit made a happy nose before licking Ren’s face … wait was it choosing him? But Kingston had its friend and… aaaaah
“The crowd seems to be very giving tonight” Mai replied. She tried to recall if it had been this way last year. Oh wait she had gotten really sick last year and had ended up spending the festival at the nurse’s office or sleeping away in her dorm room. She had just been glad she had recovered in time for Vanna’s birthday.
Of course when Kingston basically said he was going to run away with her in such a cheesey voice she couldn’t help it and ended up laughing. It was soo bad she had to escape everyone for a while. Luckily the vendor that was selling her favorite candy had returned with another bag of candy corn and she bought it from him before returning back to the ground.
“Pretty sure it was Bebe, I remember it being in a conversation and then I just kind of enforced it. I just really wanted to be your guy’s friend that night so I was trying a bit hard I think” Samhain admitted worrying the bottom of his shirt.
“Haha yeah you could say that Samhain goes to these things and ends up walking home with three of them I swear” Salem stated shaking his head, although other than Limerick and Dublin the other familiars always got all pissy whenever Salem was out. When Nashira mentioned his voice growing deeper Salem smiled. “Yeah… yeah it did. You see I’m not…” he trailed off though when a guy ran up. What was he 4. Kids these days. Salem almost wanted to pick up a rock and nail him in the back of the head but Nashira wasn’t really that bothered.
Besides he was suddenly distracted when there was another squeak and another flitterat crawled out. When the hell had it got in there? It looked at Salem and then Samhain’s new familiar and crawled up to join the other flitterat on Salem’s shoulder…. but familiars didn’t choose him… ever. They chose Samhain.

“well I just worry I’m not being a good enough dad. Mikazuki and Amatsu have been through enough that I just want them to be happy” Yami stated, and he was worried that what he did would influence them somehow. Vanna had been really supportive and tried his best to make Yami’s family safe and way from the business but Yami would always be protective when it came to his children. “But I do agree it is better to have quality friends. I just want him to have the friends… he never really talks about anyone other than Mikazuki.”
“Well there are some vendors over there that are selling festival food. It’s not the most healthy but Haunted Hallows isn’t really supposed to be healthy in the first place” yami admitted. It was then he noticed that someone was going to throw something at Tempo and stepped into the path of an object watching as a plushie bounced off his chest. Ah but before we got to the haunted house don’t I get a hug?” Sidhe asked Khalil not really waiting for him to answer before quickly giving him a hug. She always worried a bit since it was Khalil and Thomas first and she worried that she was stepping over some sort of invisible boundary. She knew it was a foolish feeling and she was working on fixing it, especially since Thomas had asked her out first and she was the one that pushed adding Khalil to their relationship, although it really wasn’t that hard of pushing. “Ahem anyways. I’m fine for whatever level of haunted house. Depends on whether you want cheesy or to be utterly scared?” Sidhe asked. She noticed there was a festival attendant walking around with a tray of free candy and she quickly grabbed a caramel apple from them.
Cain barely had time to react. One moment he was dumping that strange stone out of his pail, and the next Thanatos and Hawthorn were both suddenly there. The both of them looked nice, a faint smile gently spreading across the imp's lips as he opened his mouth to address them, and to answer Thanatos' question, but the imp stopped himself as soon as Thanatos turned his attention to Hawthorn.
He didn't want to steal any time away from the two, and frankly, Cain was completely content to watch the two together all night long. The silence could be so thick you could cut it with a knife, and the imp would still be blissful from the pleasant company.

Raa had gone to the event alone, attempting to get a moment away from his siblings. He loved them and his family dearly, but he needed a moment to just be himself without the risk of his brothers teasing him relentlessly about what he was planning to do next.
The boy scoured the stalls and games, trying to find the perfect gift to give to the cute track and field star he saw running out on the field the other day. Raa doubted the girl noticed him, and if she had, he figured she wouldn't remember him.
So, was it a mistake to try and find her a gift? Was it ... awkward? Aten had told Raa stories about his awkward Junior years and how social situations and romances left him feel alienated and worn out. It seemed to Raa that he had inherited this aspect of his father. Chubby, short, full of fluff, and hopefully just a clumsy, late bloomer.
Raa just had to keep hoping he wouldn't stay short forever like his mom.
Recapturing his concentration, Raa browsed all the options of things he could buy. He didn't really ... know this girl. Nor her tastes ... he didn't like the idea of giving edibles. Raa wasn't sure how in to her training or fitness she was and wanted to respect that, and while the pumpkin bracelet was cute Raa honestly couldn't see her wearing it.
In the end Raa didn't ... exactly find the perfect gift for his secret crush, but at least it was cute? He had no idea if it would impress his affections upon her at all, but ... it was worth a shot. Wasn't it?

"Okay our darling," Ziron chuckled, following Axum-Vesta's lead as they came upon the next house. This one seemed like a good place to go trick or treating, but that turned out not to be true as the two of them were given bad candies. Ziron managed to get some old gum, sighing at this unfortunate event for them. It was then that they noticed a familiar, cowering in a corner by the street. They went over there with Axum-Vesta, treating it with care to make sure the familiar knew they would hurt it. Before long the familiar was accepting Ziron and Axum-Vesta as their owners, Ziron letting Axum-Vesta claim it as her own.
Axum-Vesta made sure to give this person a death glare for giving her and her father bad candy, shoving it into her pail and giving a small pout ", Thanks for the candy." She then did a quick turn and walked off, following her father. She was surprised to see that her father had found a familiar, and even more surprised when her father let her have it ", Thank you daddy! I will love them forever!"

Coralie seemed to be winning all the familiars today, the next game the two played being a fishing game. You got to fish for a fish with magnets, and the number on the bottom was the prize you won. Whatever it was, Coralie managed to win yet another familiar ", Huh, I guess I am lucky today! How about you Awanata?"
"Not as good as you, but I still did well," she smiled at her friend, showing her the plushie she had just won. The goblin found it quite gorgeous, but maybe Coralie would think otherwise? Awanata didn't think so, since the two of them had similar tastes.

Irison didn't know what to play next, looking around at what was around. They finally decided on a small booth with what appeared to be a simple game. Someone hides a ball under a cup, they move the cups around, and you have to pick which cup the ball is under. Unfortunately Irison wasn't too good at this for the first round, winning a trick instead of a prize. However, on the second round they won a plushie! It wasn't a really good plushie, but they won one still!
She took a few breaths and went on to play a different game. Maybe this one would be easier to win for her, and then she could shut those other people up for seeing her fail so badly last time. She didn't win big unfortunately, only winning some candy. Why were these games so hard?!
Despite the last game, Kerigade decided to move on. Surely there had to be a reason everyone loved this event so much! He made it to a ring toss game and decided to try that out, winning much to his surprise! He ended up picking a fuzzy one, snuggling it some when no one was looking.
Still on the hunt for more sweets, Quilo continued on her way until she came across a stand with lots of candy prizes! This one she would for sure win something extra sweet! Just like she thought, she ended up winning a bag of candy that made her mouth water some.

"Ar...are they?" She tilted her head, considering his words. It wasn't something that would have occured to her, growing up at the Academy as she had. But it made sense when she thought about it. The outside world was such a big place, in comparison. She nodded slowly, considering all that. "We... well maybe as time goes on, th...they'll begin to ge...get used to the r...rest of us, an...and see the be...benefits." She blinked at his enthusiasm, and smiled a little. Yes, he definitely made her think of Chessy's energy and enthusiasm.
"I te...tend to sit towards th...the back. I duh...don't like being cuh...called on." She blushed, and figured he could guess why. That horrible stutter, how she wished it didn't happen in public! Some day, SOME how she'd defeat it! His question made her dark cheeks go ever darker with a blush, and she nodded. "She...she's wonderful. I muh...met her at a fest, ah...actually. In sp...spring." She looked happy. "I tuh...tend to think th...these are a guh...good way to meet people!"

His hand dropped to his side, and he tilted his head, listening to both her words, and her tone. She was very straight to the point, he found himself thinking, and that was rather refreshing. No games played did make for an easier time communicating. However, not having fun wasn't awesome! He would have to see if he could fix that for her. "Oh? Why not? Is there anything I, or some one here, can do to make it more fun for you?" He was rather earnest in this... He loved helping others have a good time. It's why he ran a club, after all! He'd hate to think he had a chance to make some one's day better, and didn't try. "I mean, it's a festival... That's what it's for. If you're not having fun, I'd like to try to make that change."
He blinked as her second phrase connected, it having been less important to him then her not having fun. He glanced down JUST in time to see some one's hand drop an orange Vespercat plush with a bracelet around it's neck into his bucket, a black bracelet with beads similar to his hair in color. He looked up to see who it was, but they had already disappeared into the crowd. "Huh! There's some generous people around tonight."
Yushika
"Bones...? How very STRANGE. These vespercats are... very odd tonight. And... clingy. What in the below is up with them, TRULY?" She stared at the one that had clearly decided to join her life, whether she asked it to or not, and finally just shrugged, accepting the cat, if not the creepy glass eye it had brought, as a new addition. At the other girl's second statement, Kila's face brightened immensely. "OH well if I'm not bothering you, that makes me feel better! I'm Kilandra, by the way, since I don't think I introduced myself... I'm really glad to meet you." She noticed the booth she was leaning on was giving out cotton candy and snagged some in purple and green, feeling that they matched her nicely. "Um... can I help you with your cat, somehow?"

Kama played a few more games, and won himself a Nezubat plush... He noticed an odd rock tied to it, but he figured he'd deal with it later!

Something floated over to her and she squealed as it nibbled on her gummy. "Oh you're so cuuuute!! Come home with me, okay? Oh my gosh, your wings!! Tamandani was having a blast at the festival with her wonderful daughters. Some of the...prizes were a little weird, but it was all in fun, she supposed! Their next game was a pop the balloon game. Dani won a plushie with a bracelet around its neck.
Crux threw her balloon a little too hard and missed the one with the plushie, but she still got a lollipop! She immediately stuck it in her mouth and hummed in pleasure.
Maylis wasn't usually good at these games, but she won a plushie this time! She cheered and grinned at Crux, pulling the cotton candy stick from it.
