azure walked around a while after his hay ride finding it a bit boring on his own but he continued on as he looked for a place to eat at. he found an out door cafe and began to order pumpkin soup with bat shaped noodles and some unsweetened witches brew tea. as he revised his food he found that it came with a cute tissue ghost he picked it up feeling amused by it it was adorable and goofy with its tongue sticking out. zinnia was enjoying her self but she stopped and got something to drink, after getting it she began to wander and look for something fun to do. she found a game of darts and began to play missing for a while but after about five more tries she got it. with her winning throw she was given some candy she happily thanked the stall owner as she began to wonder around again happily gazing around.
as the kids got there candy kyra watched them carefully when she felt the bickering was going a bit far she went over and lowered her self down to there level particularly looking at loki "you guys need to be nice to each other, your friends not enemy, and aAzriel don,t worry about not getting sweets just have fun. with that said she let them talk it out while she attempted to get candy, but found her self holding a skull with a candle on top. she was very interested in it. as well as the tattered jackalope plushie
{4} Clove only heard one thing from the teacher, CANDY, something clove did not need to be excited about, but was anyway, this was his first time he got to go out and trick or treat, and so far he liked it a lot. Clove was with three of his other friends from school, and he was having so much fun hanging and playing with them, as he walked up to the first door and held up his little bucket he said trick or treat, and went to the side to wait for his friend and looked at the candy he got.
{7} Corey groaned not only were they being forced to go out, to do this trick or treat thing, they were feeling Really lazy. Coreys roommate Meena had to drag them to get them to go, and many of Coreys friends where there. Being next in line for the first house, corey held there bucket up very lazily and yawned, they stepped aside next to clove and looked in there bucket to see what they got.
{5} Meena was next and held up her bucket up high, she had been pushing and pulling on corey to make sure they were coming with them to trick or treat, she said in a very quiet voice trick or treat. She also stepped to the side and waited for the last friend to move on to the next house, she was next to corey, as she looked down in her bucket.
{12} The last one to walk up to the house, was Galathe, she looked at the owner of the home and very shyly, she looked up and said trick or treat, in a shy voice, almost to quiet that the nightmare could almost not hear her. Galathe skipped to the side, and looked to see what the other kids have gotten before she looked down in her own bucket to see what she had gotten.
The purple chimera was exceptionally unhappy with that year's Haunted Hallow. She had this wicked-cool costume idea that she could not make into reality because she had little to no time to implement it. Thanks to a certain chimera-who-will-not-be-named (ahem ahem Alistair).
Heck, even now, operation: Avoid the Fiance was still in effect. Which was why she barely managed to snag a bucket for herself and stuffed a cheap plastic goblet in it. The end of the goblet snagged at a plushie, though.
------------------
Haunted Hallow, what a ridiculous affair this whole thing was. He was only here because he thought he saw his fiance and had to make sure. He'd done everything he could to finally get some one-on-one time with Verve but she'd proven much more slippery than he ever anticipated she was capable of being. He wasn't interested in the festivities and yet somehow someone shoved a bucket into his hands, and it came pre-stuffed with some candy and a plushie.
He stared at the toy and decided Dev could have it.
------------------
It's become something of a tradition for Mytrax that she attend Haunted Hallow celebrations. And for once, she received a treat instead of a trick, as she had done in the past. It wasn't a plushie but it was still quite lovely.
And who knows, maybe she'll run into someone she knew.
And run into someone she knew Mytrax did! Because here was Shard, looking happier than usual. "Heeeeey, Mai! You're a sight for sore eyes! I haven't seen you around lately." He said with a grin. His pail was empty but that was because he was already eating the candy he'd gotten.
The taller chimera's expression was neutral and after a second of thought she gave him a small smile in return.
"So, where've you been?" the baphomet asked.
------------------
Charm debated on whether or not he wanted to go out. On the one hand it all felt like everything was so silly and childish and he was clearly the most mature individual ever. Therefore the whole celebration was beneath him. But on the other hand, there were free candy being given and his ginormous sweet tooth was screaming bloody murder at the travesty of not cashing in on it.
In the end, Charm's sweet tooth proved a much more persuasive argument versus his image. Also, he reasoned, this would be a great way to get exposure for himself. Because it was never too early to get into the whole networking game.
He grabbed both a bucket and a lantern (because pink and shiny is best combo) and started looking for booths giving out candy. Unfortunately it seemed that being a senior meant tricks instead of treats, much to the fallen's dismay. He did his best to control his expression and to stop himself from throwing a tantrum because (he can just throw one in the privacy of his own room and) he was in public.
With a very gracious smile, he passed over the proffered tricks and turned to walk away when the booth owner called back out to him. Suspiciously, the fallen glanced over his shoulder, "Yes?"
He was offered a choice of a plushie! For being a good sport? Eh, maybe, but Charmstar would like to think it was because someone as fabulous-looking as he wasn't allowed to walk away empty handed.
Who was a happy chimera? Ami was a happy chimera. She loved going to all sorts of festivals and to go to them together with her family? This definitely made her happier than ever. Of course, she may be a tad oblivious to the state of some of her family members, well not exactly oblivious just not as focused as she usually is. The addition of a new member to their family skyrocketed Ami's maternal instinct into overdrive.
So here she was with her family and even had her younger brother with her! "Stay close, Honey~" she instructed, resisting the urge to hold tight on the bakeneko's hand. Instead, she went to get herself and Honey a candy bucket.
---------------
Avilan wasn't a cheerful boy by nature, prefering to think himself some brooding, misunderstood tortured soul of a loner. His mum fed into the whole misunderstood part but she didn't seem to catch on to the brooding and loner aspects. She would make it her mission to always have him interact with other people, and if not those of his same age then he would be sent to pay his Uncle Gat a visit. And Avi both loved and hated those visits.
So it was sorta nice to have his Uncle visit them for a change. And of course the rest of his family would get matching buckets so Avi on purpose picked a different design just to prove how different he is. And already his choice proved wise as there was a prize inside his bucket. His mood soured when he heard the giggling of his adopted little sister.
---------------
Honey was trying her best not to be overwhelmed by everything going on around her. She was also trying not to stand so close to big brother Avi because he's mean to her. She doesn't understand why he would be so mean when she hasn't done anything mean to him! Whenever she tried to tell mommy about him, big brother Avi gets even meaner to her! It wasn't fair, she wanted to have a big brother who would protect her like mommy said he would.
Maybe she wasn't meant to have a big brother but a little brother instead? That would make more sense to her so she decided to offer the plushie she won to him as a sort of gift. Hopefully he'll be nicer to her for it.
---------------
How long has it been since Gat was around this many people? Truthfully the chimera couldn't remember. Also he wasn't particularly sociable from the start, preferring to spend his time researching or studying or volunteering at the local familiar shelter. It was only whenever his sister came over with his nephew and now niece in tow that he was forced to be a little more social. He couldn't begrudge his sister for her constant intrusion into his life. She meant well and he understood that.
When his sister handed him a candy bucket, he was surprised to find a plushie waiting for him. He almost cracked a smile when he saw it was a spider plushie.
---------------
The imp wasn't in costume, but his expression made it clear that it was best no one bring that up. Besides, he wasn't going after candy. He instead chose a neat looking little glowing bottle.
Narra wished he could spend Haunted Hallows with both his sisters but there was some difficulties in getting the paperwork to go through and he could only write about his disappointment. He would have liked to speak with Arie but technology and communication between above and below was still somewhat tricky between the two realms. He did promise his younger sister that he would enjoy himself on her behalf.
And if that meant winning a plushie to give to a certain baphomet, well, he'll come clean about wanting to do that on his own much, much later. The problem was picking the plushie he would gift her.

So guess which wonderful, kind, loving, charming, flirtatious, and all-around fantastic little sister was going to help her big brother? That's right, it's Renge! And the fey was already flitting between choices and weighing the pros and cons of each design and trying her damn best to flirt with every single plushie seller so she could get ALL of them. For herself. Oh and for her sister too! And naturally for her brother to give to that special someone that he's still pretending isn't special.
Despite all evidence proving him otherwise, silly Narra, Renge can see right through you~ In the end, she chose a cute and funny-looking little doll-thing.
Reegan felt out of place. Not because she wasn't in costume (because she was, it was just, um, she was dressed as a construction worker on their lunch break) but because she was there all alone. She didn't have the guts to ask Tora if she was interested in going to the parties or do some trick-or-treating, despite the fact that the Geist was more than willing to imbue stones with the Naiad. I-it's not like Reegan could have said no!
At least, not to that face. Bah, for all the muscles she's built, Reegan was weak and had a massive soft-spot for anyone she liked. Not that she would admit that! It didn't stop her from winning and picking a cute plushie with a heart on it. I-it's not for her! N-nope, nope! I-it's for Tora... yeah... and if the naiad didn't like it, well, Reegan would keep it.

For Tora (O-or not, i-if you don't like it, 's fine...)
This was a mistake, CC was sure of that. Being out and about on Haunted Hallows and being all by herself? Yeah, the elf was just cruising for a pranking, she was certain of that. She shouldn't even be out of her room but there was promise of awesome parties and fun times and it was unheard of for an elf to not be in on that sort of thing!
Also she might run into a certain goblin who was doing more than well on his catering dreams. So maybe she might even have a chance to rain on his parade or something. Because how dare he be at a party without her!
Trudy spent several minutes working up the courage to decide to go out that night. She wanted to go trick or treating but she didn't have any friends and had to sign up for one of those group-things the academy posted.
Trixie found herself an unwitting den-mother that night. She was prepared to handle and watch over her daughter Xelva. But then some caretakers from the Academy asked if she could also look after Helena and Kapit and the nixie had a hard time saying no to anyone and that was really how she ended up putting on a slapdash costume so she wouldn't be so out of place. She was sure she was going to be surrounded by people in costumes and she didn't want anyone making fun of Xelva for having a chaperone who wasn't into the whole dressing up bit. The nixie gave herself, Xelva, and Kapit one last moisturizing spritz before they headed out.
And as they came upon the first house, a fluffy vespercat jumped out of the bushes.
------------------
Xelva squealed in delight at the sight of the familiar. "Oh a kitty! A kitty!!!" and attempted to run up to pet the kitty. But her mom pulled her back with a warning that "Careful! It might be feral."
The hybrid started up at her mother, ears drooping, "What's feral? Is it sick? Do we need to get it to the pet-doctor?" she asked. Rummaging through the candy bucket, she brought out the prize inside and tried using it to lure the familiar.
------------------
Anything that held Xelva's attention for too long was viewed as a threat by Kap's standards. So he tried to find something to distract Xelva with so he could get rid of the interloper. Of course, the little naiad might also be referring to the grimm that was tagging along with them. Kap certainly hadn't approved of this turnout. He was already putting up with Xelva's mom being there but someone of their age was a much bigger concern.
"Oops! Hey, Helena, I seem to have dropped my bracelet. Can you please go and get it for me?" Except instead of dropped, the naiad had thrown said trinket.
------------------
Helena was a lot more observant than Kapit gave her credit for. Eyes narrowed in suspicion, the grimm freshling answered "Nope, I dunno where you dropped it. How could I get it for you?" While she didn't quite get what the naiad was trying to do, Helena had an idea that it had something to do with Xelva. And so she reached out for the hybrid's hand and pulled her towards the familiar, "Hey Xel-Xel, maybe we should move closer to it?"

Jerome had just finished locking his doors when it occurred to him how he should probably wear something that's can pass off as a costume. Just in case the bar had a no-costume no-entrance policy for the night. So he had a top hat and an exaggerated stick-on mustache and a cheap black cape. Instead of a whip, he had to make do with a black plastic jump rope that he hooked through a belt loop.
To complete the snidely whiplash look, he brought with him a lantern. Well, this was the best he could do on such short notice.
Dagger wasn't sure what all the fuss was about. She also wasn't sure why she was expected to hand out candy to complete strangers. She was barely willing to give out candy to people she knew and liked! Alright that wasn't completely out of being stingy but because owning and running a 2nd-hand bookshop wasn't exactly lucrative.
So rather than have to explain to customers why exactly she wasn't joining in on the festivities, it was just much more economical to close for the night. As she locked up, she heard someone yell "Happy Haunted Hallows" and felt something soft smack against the back of her head.
-----------------
"Hey, Dagger, you alright there?" the naga yelled the question from across the street. Some people seemed to take the holiday a little too seriously and he rather enjoyed the spectacle. "Why doncha hang out at our place? You'll be safe from projectile plushies! We promise!" And he held out a plate of candy bats as added incentive.
-----------------
The bakeneko waved and gestured for the naiad to come join them, knowing that his partner was somewhat sweet on her. He himself acknowledged how Dagger was easy on the eyes.
Tag was meandering about, not really putting in too much effort in this whole holiday. It was amusing for the young kirin and he was much happier watching others make a spectacle of themselves than actually participating. So it was only understandable why he was less than happy to run into his cousin.
Ugh, shouldn't he be touring? Tag wondered and hoped Petro hadn't spotted him.
-----------------
Petro was actually only out and about not because he was trying to run into his cousin but because he might have wanted to get something for his family. His circus family specifically. His blood-family had made it clear they would rather pretend he was away "learning how to be a proper doctor" instead of committing to his chosen field of entertainment.
So coming across Matatag was just an unhappy accident. The glowing charm he'd gotten hadn't made hiding easier.
-----------------
Kal drifted along, trying to decide how exactly she intended to make this night a productive affair when something landed on her shoulder.
Cimara smiled at Aqua glow as he took the rev over to her and let the familiar climb over to her. "Hey sweet heart." Then he smiled and said "Hey kids." Warmly to all of them. "I won this for you." Cim said softly to Aqua glow. He loved Aqua so much. Then Cimara started looking around for other games to play and other treats and fun to collect the next game he played he lost and won a rock, well ok.. a rock.. Then he went and played a water shooting gaming where you had to hit the target to make your ghost speed along to the finish line. There he won a plushie. Cimara picked out the Sphinx plushie he rather liked the look of it.
- For VerityHattress (Aqua glow)
Kaimana smiled and showed Snow and Iah the candy bar he had gotten. "Hey guys, yea we did make it, we were trick or treating while dad was playing games." Kai said brightly. Kai frowned when he offered a weird bag of popcorn that he politely put in his bucket though he wouldn't eat it. Then he got a plushie. That he showed to his brothers. Kai laughed at Natsumi and the weird skull there certainly were a lot of tricks and treats it was so much fun.
Micari smiled and showed her brothers her cotton candy. Then she got a bag of eyeball candy that she could share with her brothers. "Want some??" She offered. Micari widdened her eyes looking at the weird skull.
Natsumi smiled at her family as she picked up a strange skull. Intresting. She walked up to the kids and smiled. "There are certainly a lot of weird tricks." She laughed showing them all the skull.
Caron had been standing at a ring toss game, his aim was off till he was tackled by Jac and the ring actually went where it was suppose to go. Caron laughed and said. "Looks like your a lucky charm Jac." Caron said cheerfully and offerred her the bracelet and plushie he had collected for her. "Here these are for you." He said warmly.
Sign went to a game booth and played a whack a ghost game. Sign got a pretty good score and picked out a green bracelet as his prize, he wondered if his brother Hazard would like it. Sign wondered if his brother would come trick or treating. Sign sighed he hadn't had much chance to talk to his brother since coming to the academy with all the classes and everything he had been so busy. Sign wondered if Hazard would be mad at him for not making time to see him. Sign shook his head this was supposed to be a fun night and here Sign was overthinking everything.
Gwen was having a wonderful time, she was rather shocked that she was getting more familiars in the games she was playing than the plushies she was actually after. She was intrigued the hallowed familiars reminded Gwen of the research she had wanted to do when she was little since then she had learned that was a foolish plan and there were far better things to explore. That didn't hurt others feelings though all the hallowed Gwen had talked to when she was a freshling were so nice. The hallowed of the bellow were really amazing and Gwen still thought so, she looked around wondering if Anara was here. Gwen still wished she could prove to Anara that she was special and that Gwen had feelings for both Anara and Laith but she couldn't figure out a way to prove it or show it to either of them. Words and gifts didn't do it for Anara. Gwen snuggled the Mutated Revenant. "Any idea how to get a cutie to understand you like them??" She asked.
"Oh ho ho~ I'm not going to be revealing any trade secrets now!" Even Foras was impressed that he had managed to hide it, but in all honestly Gany had been working so hard on his own outfit that Foras could have just made the scythe in front of him without being noticed. He'd like Gany think on that one for a while, that's right he had found a way to be sneaky.
He instantly perked up at the idea of a haunted house tour. There were bound to be more than he could count going on in the park or anywhere in town. He had no idea of Gany was the type to be jumpy or not, he'd never really been in any spooky situation with him before. A chance to learn more about Ganymede and potentially hold him in his arm? Yes, please. He was honestly surprised he had even recommended it. That probably meant he wouldn't be spooked, right? Well, seems Foras needed to hunt down the spookiest Haunted House he could find.
"Challenge accepted." Was that even a real reply to Gany's suggestion about going to a Haunted house? Probably not, but that didn't stop him from saying it anyway. "I'm not sure where the best one would be, why don't we look around the park first?" Plus he still wanted to find Gany a gift and gather up enough treats to last him for a month. Speaking of treats, someone dropped a lollipop into his bucket. Yum. Oh! And there was a cool dart game he could play to win Gany a gift!
"Over here first though!" he gently took Gany's hand and lead him over to the game. "I've been practicing this for like a month now!" And he really had, just another thing he was snuck around doing while Gany was distracted. He aimed and hit the center of the bullseye on his first try, even he was impressed. He picked out the black skull plushie and handed it to Ganymede.
"Something to remember this day by." Okay, now they could start their quest to conquer a Haunted House.
Thomas was the first one to find him. Khalil couldn't help but laugh at the cheesy voice he had. He was still impressed by his costume though, he had obviously put a lot more work into his costume than he had. He couldn't even say what he was other than a hodgepodge of random, cheap Halloween trinkets. "Oh no! Mister Vampire, stay away~" He put on a fake damsel in distress voice, before chuckling and giving his partner a hug.
He was a little started when he heard someone say 'Hi' next to him. But he recognized that voice, he just hadn't seen her coming at all. "Sidhe?" It was almost impossible to recognize her under...her costume? He wasn't sure if she was actually wearing a costume or just trying to hide from something or someone. He wondered if he should ask her what she was, would that be offensive? Was he supposed to know what it was? Ah well, it didn't really matter. He gave her a hug anyway, avoiding the skull with a burning candle on it as he did. This was a little creepy. Someone slipped some candy into his pail while he wasn't looking.
Tegan: 16 Oh! She won something good! She was a good girl this time! Yes!
Asoraen: 1 ANOTHER rock!? Raen shook his head in disbelief. Someone seemed intent on making him recreate Charles and the Greater Pumpkin special!
Daya: 2 Keeping a close eye on her dear friend, Daya also kept her grip. The costumes were bound to help with her slithering around unnoticed, but she still felt on edge! The festival was not the time for Roman, she wanted to be Daya, and she wanted to be with Ari! Nevertheless, playing games was what she wanted to do, as well. Gratefully popping one of Ari's winnings in her mouth, she slid up to try her hand at this game, as well! And, doing well enough, was awarded a bag of candy on her own. Granted, these were eyeballs in comparison to Ari's little skulls, but she held it out for her to try one as well. "I wish a festival like this could happen all the time, it'd be so fun!" She exclaimed, tail wiggling in excitement!
Obnoxious Obscurity
Kenith: 1 No, really was this some kind of trick? Was someone trying to get his to use these things on his skin?
