Aedus won another game, but did win or find another familiar he grumbled and added a new grumpy ghost to his collection. At this rate he would end up with a whole collection of grumpy ghosts to hang in his room. Aedus sat down with his new fluffy friend and smiled petting his head. He still hoped he would be able to add more friends to his family group.
Raleka couldn't stop smiling. "I'd like to meet them," she said, thinking about her own little troublemakers. She nodded in response to Addie's question, looking toward the fair laid out in front of them. There were so many things to do tonight! She was always a huge fan of the festivals the town organized, and Haunted Hallows had to be her favorite. Not to mention the Pumpkas that were out and about, she enjoyed the chilly wind, the candy, everything! And she was excited to share it with someone she genuinely enjoyed.
She hesitated for just a moment, then reached out and took Addie's hand, shyly brushing her tail to the side. His hand was warm, small, soft in hers. She'd been hesitant to admit the growing warmth in her chest, but now that she was here with him, she couldn't be happier. So happy, in fact, she nearly tripped over the plushie on the ground. "Oh my goodness," she said, forgetting everything in the moment to pick up the poor mangled thing. She'd have to wash it off, she realized, picking a few specks of dirt off its face and clutching it to her chest.

Annie slipped away from his mom as soon as he could, and mussed up his hair deliberately one he was out of her sight. He loved Raleka, he really did, but when she got all weird and motherly like this... well, he felt like he was ready to be independent. He was excited to find all sorts of familiars here, maybe even a mutated one! He'd started to already fill up his dorm room with his vast menagerie, and he was excited to add even more to the family. While his mom filled up the house with plants, he filled up his own with animals. Even Mavis had come along, tucked into the pocket of his dingy brown sweatshirt.
His eyes searched for any sign of a classmate, and he picked up a candy apple at a food vendor, ready to fuel his body with candy for the night.

Aurelia broke herself away from attacking Meadow and looked around to see what was happening where they were. A nice senior came up to her with a smile on their face, handing her a full-size candy bar. "Thank you!" She shouted after them as they walked on to the next lucky freshling, opening the top of the package and taking a small bite from the corner. It was so good....and she couldn't seem to help herself from screaming "THIS IS THE BEST CHOCOLATE I'VE EVER PUT IN MY MOUTH!"
Iolanthe was looking at some of the game booths that were set up, marveling at the various prizes to be one and the games that were designed. She was debating on whether she would try a ring toss game when someone pushed into her, dropping something into her bucket before running off, cackling like mad. Confused and slightly distressed, she looked down into her bucket to see a rather bright blue eye staring up at her. Io shrieked briefly before she saw the cracks in it and the gloss; it was fake. Well, she got her first scare of the day.
Kohaku merrily went door to door to gather various treats, smiling politely and calmly to everyone they met. Eventually they came upon a rather ominous-looking place that was rather shabbily decorated. Upon ringing the bell the door cracked open and Kohaku could see a glowing eye staring out at them. "Trick or treat." They said with a calm happiness, holding their bucket out patiently. A rather bony geist hand came out and dropped a box of raisins into the little cauldron before the door shut rather abruptly. As the baphomet picked up the box and opened it to enjoy some of the commonly rejected fruit a rustle in the shrub caught their attention. A long little nose poked out, sniffing at the air before it was followed by a pair of glowing eyes and a body of stitched-together parts. The revenant looked up at the freshling and fluttered its wings, tilting its head curiously. "Oh, are you hungry?" Kohaku put a couple of raisins in their hand and knelt down, watching the revenant sniff at them before taking one into its little claws. The baphomet smiled and reached down carefully to pick it up and put it into its treat bucket. "Now if you promise not to eat all of the treats in there you can come home with me." The revenant seemed content with its raisin and Kohaku smiled rather brightly before moving on.
"So you're saying that you... are hard-headed?" Nashira's tone was lightly teasing. "Hm. I don't think I like the idea that we were being watched, though I'm sure that we had been. After all, they seemed as curious as we were." At least she could think back on the event more objectively. And now that she was with one of her friends, the event was a lot less stressful.
"So your new... 'family' member is called Xiaoshi?" That was an exotic name. "If we do happen to run into her, I would be delighted to meet her. That way you can make sure she is doing alright without seeming like a stalker." She was about to start walking so they could enjoy the festivities when someone approached Nashira and handed her a pumpkin bracelet. The younger student mumbled something about a pretty treat for a pretty lady, or that's what Nashira thought they'd said, before the younger student ran off and vanished into the crowd again. The hybrid laughed and slipped the trinket on. "You know, I rather like this holiday. Everyone has been so nice. No one has thrown anything at me."
Kingston:
"Oh please, I did that ONE time. Two times... Um..." he counted on his fingers. "Eight times... That's besides the point you know. At least I wasn't proposing or something! That would have been awkward." He laughed. When Mai stepped out from behind Vanna, Kingston smiled, his tail wagging slightly faster.
"Hmmm if you were a delicious cake, that would explain why you're so enchanting." He gave her a bow, but refrained from attempting to kiss her hand, fearing that might be going too far. When he stood upright, he looked to Ren and laughed. "HA! I imagine there are lots of people and things that Vanna would pretend don't exist. Why, by the end of the night he may well pretend we're not acquainted. All part of his charm, I'm sure." He waved his hand before extending it to Ren. He took a half step towards the fey when he almost tripped over something. there was a startled and excited squeak. Kingston looked down and spotted a blind little fennikit. "Oh, hello there little one. I didn't mean to step on you." He gently picked up the familiar, noticing there was something off about the poor kit, so he allowed the familiar to rest on his shoulder. He was distracted enough with the little familiar that he didn't notice someone sneak a skull candle into his bucket.
Vega:
Vega was having fun, he had to admit. There were so many costumes and candies and treats. The energy of the night was just... amazing. But he was a little thirsty, so he stopped at a booth to get a drink. He was given a cheap little plastic cup that he could keep, though it would likely break before he got home, and as he thanked the vendor, they offered Vega a plush doll to make the evening more fun. How great! He now had 2!
Meadow:
Mmmm mmmm! This was so great! He loved this festival. Meadow was getting free treats and goodies right and left! He had just gotten a sugar skull from a nice old granny when he heard footsteps. Of course there were lots of footsteps. If they hadn't picked up speed, maybe Meadow wouldn't have noticed. But right before he was tackled, he turned to look as Aurelia locked her arms around him in a hug. However, he lost his footing, and fell, dragging Aurelia with him. "OOF! H-hey..." He had to catch his breath, since the impact knocked the wind out of him. After a moment, he pushed her off and sat up. "No fair, I bet you've had more sugar then me." He pouted, putting his hand down and... found something soft? "Huh?" He looked and saw that there was a plushie on the ground. "Lucky for me! I get lots of sugar, a toy, and my best friend." who didn't have a plushie as far as he knew.
Charon:
The nice thing about this holiday was all the masks. You could flirt shamelessly with someone tonight, and they would never know who you are, unless you wanted them too. Charon found himself sitting at a table with a couple rather attractive students. He was lavishing them each with affection, but... apparently one was feeling left out. He heard a thunk and glanced at his bucket, only to see... another rock? What was it with rocks today?
Keahi:
It must have been getting late. Keahi let out a sleepy little yawn. It was time for some sugar. They stopped at a booth and looked at all the bags of candy corn. They wanted some and stared at the bag until the vendor offered a bag. Sweet! Now Keahi could have a snack and wake up more.
Revenant. So that was what her new friend was. Got it. A hand reached to touch their wings, quickly darting back to holding the rather heavy familiar before they fell. The sound of rushing movement caused her head to raise slightly, though she was sure it was just kids. No, wait, someone who had almost run Zahneel over. Her head vaguely tilted, trying to hear for whatever Zahneel had been handed.
Cotton candy? No, she hadn't been allowed to eat that, mostly because her parents called anything with sugar 'brain rotting food'.
"No. I'm not allowed to." Her voice was faint, but held a familiar tone that, by now, Zahneel should recognize as curiosity and a desire to disobey her parents. She didn't notice someone toss a candy bat into her pail.

Tomoe nodded softly, eyes locked on the flitterat still before he tore his gaze away to look at Neptune.
"Me too." He admitted softly. His ears perked up as someone walked by with cotton candy, delicately approaching out of curiosity. He stiffened when the person holding them looking over, tails wagging immediately when the candy was handed to him. Even more sweets! He was going to need a new kimono if this kept up!

Atlas, who was honestly not very accustomed to people, was slightly relieved he agreed. Good! She could enjoy some time with someone, maybe even make a friend? Corben kept saying she needed one of those...
When he stepped aside she approached the booth, settling into a seat. The game was simple, one person was blindfolded and the other helped the blindfolded one throw a dart to pop a balloon. There were enchantments used to ensure the dart didn't swerve and hit a leaving being, luckily. She had been about to ask who would do what when, instead, a cat approached Hamish, her eyes widening.
"Aw! How cute." She began before she realized the bones. Not cute. ".....Maybe they..... wanted to show off their hunting ability?" She was suddenly very glad the cat had not approached her.

Maple's eyes often had issues with depth perception, especially when all four were open at once. So, when she thought a junior kumiho was at a safe distance from her, she was wrong, and instead found herself smashing right into the junior.
"Ah, I'm sorry. Are you alright?"

Lapis was busy trying to win a plushie when she spotted a familiar face; Amatsu. Interest, for once, raised, the hybrid left the booth and approached the boy, immediately jumping into her question.
"How are the cats?" Great opener, Lapis.

Honestly, Shiori hadn't expected someone to approach her. Her new cat shifted into her lap (what a bold kitten) when someone approached, Shiori's head not moving due to the belief they'd ignore her. Most people did. Yet, he spoke, and Shiori was caught off guard, head raising slightly to view the newcomer.
He liked her cloak.
Subconsciously, her cloak's magic powered on, the enchanted cloth shifting to properly hide her lack of arms. "Thank you." Her voice was soft and delicate, just like her petite frame. She flicked her eyes over him, trying to settle on what to say back. He had complimented her, now it was her turn, right?
"I like your hair." She admitted. Nailed it.

Emelia hadn't expected two things; a stranger to approach and a cat. She wasn't sure who to look at first, blinking as the cat brushed against her leg and the stranger.... gave a flirty smile? That was flirty, right? To who? Her? Really? Emelia's monotone expression remained, as always, but her mind was racing. No one ever approached her! She was too off putting! What to do?! What would Levi do? Giggle and probably blow a kiss..... Emelia couldn't do that.
And that cat was trying to get into her pail.
"Oh, uh, yeah. Thank you. Am I in your way? Are you about to play?" Okay, that dealt with, now what about this cat....

"If you want to go into town we can. I'd love that. Show Tomoe around, as well." She responded to Neptune, eyes still locked on her new friend. Her gaze flicked to Neptune as she lifted the rat out of the pail for him to see better.
"Do you mind if we take them home? We'd need to have the vet check them, but I'd love to adopt the little critter, if you and Tomoe don't mind."

Rolo perked up as she returned with a bottle just for him. Wings fluffing, the boy accepted it hurriedly, slipping it over his neck.
"Thank you!" He gasped, rolling the pretty necklace between his fingers before noticing his sister was struggling. "Want me to carry some of your stuff, Lolo?"

Ah. She was touching him. Jessie's tail twitched as he shifted his arm to properly secure hers. His head lowered, watching the cat twine around his ankles, begging for pets and love, which he delicately gave. Ah. He genuinely was scared he'd hurt the creature, lacking any faith in himself, but the feeling was nice. Of course Rhulain's cat was nice... Anything of hers must be wonderful.
"Did you want to go anywhere specific?" He softly questioned, wondering in the back of his mind if he had intruded on her experience.

Thana's head turned slowly to look at Hawthorn once he heard the litch's voice, hand raising faintly in greeting. Despite how unmoving he appeared, he genuinely was glad both Cain and Hawthorn were now here. His favorite people, other then his twin. His eyes trailed to the paper ghost Hawthorn had before taking in Hawthorn's outfit fully. Ah, it was perfect. Of course it was. Hawthorn would never wear anything subpar.
"Hello." He greeted softly, shifting slightly so his cape didn't interfere with his tail. "I am glad you made it." He gave his trademark pause, head slowly turning to look up at Cain. "And you, too." Now that they both were here the day could start!

Fakir was late! This year he had dressed up as a prince, which took much prepping! His silver tiara, encrusted with diamonds, and red cloak had come in late, causing him to frantically put them on over his prince costume. By the time he arrived at the festival he had struggled to find Eilwen until.... there she was! With her sibling! Thank deities!
"Eilwen! I'm so sorry I'm late!" Fakir huffed, running up to his hallowed girlfriend in a frenzy. Oh! Hopefully she forgave him!

Echo had arrived to allow her kid to enjoy the festival. She hadn't expected really to stay, but some of the trinkets within the festival had interested her. What interested her more, though, was seeing a familiar Harley in the distance. The girl was sweet, and after their first meeting Echo found herself drawn to starting a conversation with the hybrid. So, she'd do just that.
Approaching Harley, the quiet and petite lady waved slightly.
"Hello, Harley." She softly greeted, tucking her hands into her cardigan. "I wanted to stop by and say hello and thank you for your help earlier with my jewelry questions."

Zino looked down disappointed. He wanted more candy but ended up with this cheap little goblet thing. Oh well, on to the next stop.
Quote:
Zelina looked down, she ended up with some super stale, gross candy. Upon further notice she saw a plush. How cute!
Quote:
Adhara was once again disappointed in the fact that she didn't get any candy. She did however meet an adorable fennekit that seems to have liked her, so this night still had a possibility of being salvaged.

Tou seemed to be having good luck today - he looked down after his second stop and found a caramel apple waiting for him!

Misty let out a huge sigh when she looked down, still no candy, just a creepy doll.
Travesty tilted his head, taking a look at the creature in Facade's arms. It was kind of strange looking, even for a Revenant. Still, it was cool in it's own way. He grinned and reached up to pat its head. "Its cute Face." Which was his nickname for her. He heard another clunk in his bucket and saw that he had received another trick, along with a plushie.
At the compliment, Facade almost danced in place. "Thanks!" She rarely ever showed emotion, but she couldn't help but think the little guy was cute, so she put it on her shoulder as she lifted her pail up for another treat, but instead got a trick. She really wasn't all that worried about it though, some of the tricks were just as cool!
Kiessi held tightly to their siblings hands, somehow managing to juggle holding a pail at the same time (Well, Lorek was helping him too, since he was a bit older than Taboo). He was thankful that he had received another treat. More eyeballs. He remembered them being good from the year before and couldn't wait to share them with his siblings.
Lorek was careful to not fall too behind while holding Kiessi's hand. He didn't want to drag the rest of them down, but he couldn't help but be scared as a few strangers were getting awfully close as he walked. He squeaked when someone actually brushed up against him and but he tried hard to not let it show, not wanting Kiessi to worry. Had the person even dropped a trick into their bucket?
Banshee blinked when she saw all her siblings getting candy and colorful things! She tugged gently on her mother's arm, holding up her pail. Tambre just grinned and gently let Banshee down so she could approach the booth on her own. She gently nudged her toward it, trying to get the girl to be more independent. Banshee was a little afraid at first, but when she approached the booth and got candy in return she couldn't be more excited!
Taboo looked back to see that Banshee had come out to play! He grinned and wandered back from Kiessi to his sister and grabbed her hand. He didn't want her to be alone! He knew he could protect her. He joined her at the booth, happy to be getting anything from the event! Even trick candy!
"Oh th...that might be i..it, true." She looked at his costume, a thoughtful expression on her face. Those stitches, they were so delicate and well done. The details were so very fine... It was just so lovely. "St..still, with portals be...being a thing, su...surely at the least th...they should advertise the...their work in the uh...uh...other major cities. Th...they might get muh...more commissions?" She didn't know if the designer would WANT more, but if they did, it might be worth it!
She blushed at his excitement when he realized she'd made it, and ducked her head, smiling. "Ye... yes I did. I...I'm a fah...fashion and ih...illusion student at Greh...Grendel. I hope to suh-someday run a Fa...Fashion House of my very own." She smiled at him and said "Is th...that where you go?" She was curious, and also found herself thinking that Chessy would LOVE to meet this Neko. They were both so pink and happy. She added "If yo...you are, we should h...hang out. You cuh...could meet muh...my dearest Chessy."
As she spoke, some jerk dropped a rock into her pail. The nearby booth owner noticed, and sighed, then tossed her a cute little bat plushy.

Lothelion grinned at the girl, though he noticed the moving of the cloak. He was curious about it, but didn't say anything. It wasn't his business, after all. If she wanted to hide something, she was way more then allowed to. It's her life, and her secrets. He grinned at her words. "Thanks. Takes work to maintain, but I love how it looks." He reached up and ran his hair through his bangs for a second, then added "I'm Lothelion. Are you having fun at the festival?" He gave her a warm grin, his head tilting. Games might be fun, but meeting new people was ALWAYS more fun. He was so focused on his new companion that he didn't notice some one slipping a colorful lollipop into his bucket.

Kilandra blinked in surprise, wondering if she'd somehow offended the other nightmare. They seemed so... uninterested in talking. How disappointing, she was hoping to meet a new friend. "Well, no... I just noticed you here, and thought you looked like an interesting person. Wanted to talk to you... I'm terribly sorry if I am bothering you?" She blinked, watching the cat climbing into the other person's bucket, before looking down, startled, as a SIMILAR, but different vespercat leaned up and... dropped an, ew, cracked glass eyeball into her bucket, before sitting on her foot, purring. "... what in the Below is up with these cats...?"

Kama wandered to a booth that was selling some bags of candy. He grinned, and haggled for a bag of chocolate skulls, tied off with a purple ribbon bow. He popped it into his bucket, before wandering back towards the games.
Niamh ran around, playing games. She managed to win herself an ADORABLE green vespercat plush, and a delicious Cotton Candy. She was thrilled with her prizes.
Thurayya took a short break, and got herself some candy corn to snack on.
