Journal Log:

I had been an intern at Emerston University before everything happened. I was working late at night on day zero grading papers when I heard the screams. When I left the room I was in I had found the infected shortly after. At the time I didn't know what to think of them though every zombie movie I had ever seen came to mind. I tried to get as many people as I could to safety before I ran and took cover. They were hostile as everyone is now well aware. There is nothing of humanity left in them.

For the last month I have been grouped with those who had survived in the University. We made our home in the dorms and have been doing our best to keep everything running. Supplies are low and I am afraid moral will shortly follow. Everything has been a learning curve. Before we were lucky to never have to worry about where we got our food, how long our water supply would last or if danger was going to come busting through our walls. We have done well to make up routines and tasks for people to do each day to keep things running as smoothly as possible but how long will things last?

It was also at the University that I first got a glimpse of the undying. I was out on patrol when we spotted it but thankfully it passed us by. At the time I think we were a little ill-prepared to manage it.
