Abilities

Buffs:
● Increased Magical Attack Versus Ayrala and Peisio Dovaa and Khehora (x2 Damage)
Debuffs:
● Slightly Decreased Magical Attack Versus Kiandri and Ysali Dovaa and Khehora (x.8 Damage)
● Decreased Magical Attack Versus Gaili Dovaa and Khehora (x.5 Damage)
Skills:
● Grants ability Lightning Speed - The Kiandri gain an extra attack 3 times per fight. This means that whilst other races attack only once per turn, the Kiandri Dovaa are granted two attacks per their turn. They are able to choose which turn to use one of their Lightning Speed boosts. The same roll is applied to both attacks, so choose wisely.
● Grants Ability Lightning Rod - Charge yourself for an additional 30 Energy by dealing 15 damage to yourself.
● Grants Ability Overcharged - The Dovaa or Drakein will charge him/herself with electricity, covering their entire body for the entire battle. Every time they are hit or cause a hit, the opponent is shocked for 5 lightning damage. Costs 25 Energy.
● Grants Ability Static Charge - Charge yourself for up to 3 turns. You may not attack while charging. Each turn you keep yourself charging gives you an extra 25 damage to your next successful attack. For example: You charge yourself for all 3 turns, you gain an extra 75 electrical damage added to your attack. But you are left open with minor defense. You will always take at least 50% damage from your attacker, no matter your defense roll while charging.

Attack Styles:
Despite his frailty, Tohru's fiance and mother encouraged (demanded) that he take the path of a battler and learn to slay dragons and protect his family from the cruelty and violence of the other races. He would've preferred the path of a Ysali gardener, far off the trail of battle, but even casually mentioning this to his family would rile his mother's temper. It simply seemed safer to do as she wished... Together with Amara, the women decided he should choose the Kiandri clan. He didn't deserve the powers of the Firani, but he shouldn't be so useless as a Ysali or Ayrala... Despite his own wishes, Tohru agreed. Tohru himself is very hesitant and uncertain, which doesn't mesh well with his Kiandri magics. Since he is never confident about where he wants to apply a spark or how strong it should be, he tends to shock himself more frequently than his opponents. As an Adept and up, he sings to cast magic. It helps him center himself and direct his abilities.

Weapon Specials:
Bottled Dream increases INT by 15 (30 at Master Stage). [Bonus already added to stats.]
Staff of Luck grants + 10 LUK and +5 INT. [Bonus already added to stats.]

Attack List:
Unarmed Attack:
ATK: Punch: 5 ENG, 5 DAM/ATK
Just what it sounds like. Tohru goes in with his tiny fists raised and hopes to land a solid attack.

Armed Attack:
ATK: Shine and Shadow: 10 ENG, 10 DAM/ATK
Tohru dual wields his chakrams, Shine and Shadow, to assault his opponent with a flurry of quick attacks and shocking volts.
Attack Unavailable - No Weapon.

Initiate Magic:
ATK: Spark Barrage: 10 ENG, 5 DAM/ATK
Tohru sends out a small wave of shocking electricity to do damage to his opponent.

Journeyman Magic:
ATK: Super Shocker: 15 ENG, 10 DAM/INT
Tohru focuses his lightning into a small jolt that he can shoot out at his opponents.

Advanced Magic:
ATK: Shockwave: 20 ENG, 10 DAM/INT + 2 DAM/ATK
A more powerful magical attack where Tohru pulls static from around the area and collects it around himself. Once enough power his been charged, he shoots it out in all directions!

Master Magic:
ATK: Name: 50 ENG, 20 DAM/INT + 5 DAM/ATK
Description: Attack Unavailable.

Defense List:
Basic Defense:
DEF: Side-Step: 5 DAM/DEF Warded
Tohru's small size is most useful against larger opponents. He's generally athletic enough to dodge or shift away from certain head-on attacks.

Moderate Defense:
DEF: Cover Guard: 10 DAM/DEF Warded
Tohru uses his arms to protect his head and chest from any lethal attacks.

Advanced Defense:
DEF: Reflect Bounder: 15 DAM/DEF Warded
Tohru spins his chakrams out to attract attacks to them rather than himself.

Master Defense:
DEF: Flee: 20 DAM/DEF Warded
The best defense is to avoid being attacked, after all... Tohru has enough stamina and speed that he could probably outrun most of his opponents.

Initiate Magical Defense:
DEF: Sparks Fly: 5 DAM/INT Warded
Tohru sends out tiny sparks of lightning to coat himself and the field. They don't do much by way of hurting anyone, but they are a small deterrent and a bit of a distraction.

Journeyman Magical Defense:
DEF: Static Shield: 10 DAM/INT Warded
Tohru creates a charged barrier that can deflect and redirect certain attacks.

Advanced Magical Defense:
DEF: Lightning Feet: 15 DAM/INT + 2 DAM/DEF Warded
If he wasn't fast before, he is now. Tohru can transform into a charge of electricity that enables him to travel at inhuman speeds for short bursts of time.

Master Magical Defense:
DEF: Levitate: 15 DAM/INT + 10 DAM/DEF Warded
By reversing the electromagnetic fields around the battlefield, Tohru can suspend non-grounded objects in the air and pull them to his aid when needed.

History

Vesta wasn't always a loud, harping witch. When she and Thane first met, she was a young, beautiful, excitable, and very passionate woman that was probably too eager to be out from under her parents' wings. The result was Kasen, soon accompanied by a hasty Dovaa marriage. While Vesta wasn't thrilled about the child, Thane could not have been more pleased. While his wife moped about being tied down and her unfulfilled life, he took up the at-home craft of gem enchanting, so that he could simultaneously care for his son.

For many years (nine, to be exact), Thane and Kasen grew closer while Vesta only looked on. Once Kasen was old enough to communicate, understand, and function on his own, Vesta finally took in interest in him. But by that time, her son held about as much interest in her as she'd had for him up until that point. Distressed by her firstborn's indifference to her, Vesta told Thane she wanted to try again. That she would do better by her next child. Thane was only too-pleased to hear it. And so, nine months later, a squirming bundle of Tohru was born into the world.

Leery of his mother's intentions, Kasen did his best to keep his infant baby brother away from her, whether that was taking him out to play or bringing him to the small store-front his father had set up to sell his wares. But there's only so much a preteen can do to keep mother from son. Vesta managed to spend a bit of time with Tohru, but it became clear very early that Tohru positively adored Kasen. Vesta wanted him gone.

A pair of elderly neighbors were caring for a girl that was just around Kasen's age. The two played together occasionally, and Thane knew them well enough. Vesta preyed upon the old couple's hopes to give the young girl a good, happy, stable life, even after they'd passed (which could possibly be in the very near future...), and pointed out how her eldest son seemed like a good match for her, when they were old enough, of course... And so, after some thoughts and discussions, the couple agreed to marry their granddaughter, Amara off to Kasen in time.

Kasen wasn't thrilled, but worse things could definitely happen, and since his father didn't seem horribly against it, Kasen decided to go along with it. Honestly, what could really change? It seemed the person most affected by the whole decision was Thane. His family was ever growing, while the war between the Oblivionites and Orderites was still waging... It was only a matter of time before one of his sons, or even his grandsons far off into the future were dragged into it! He simply couldn't sit by and rely on his hope to keep his family safe...

Thane went to Eowyn in hopes of talking some of the warriors from each race into maybe quelling their bloodlust... Magesc would be a much better place if it weren't a battleground. Of course, that was just like a Dovaa to simply expect peace when it hadn't been earned. He was killed down there on Eowyn, trying to make amends all by his lonesome.

Of course, news of his death never made it to his family. Instead they believed he'd simply run off, maybe been abducted, or captured by a dragon! Who could really say what had become of him? Kasen couldn't simply go on not knowing, though! He set out on his own in the dead of night to seek out answers, and hasn't returned since. Tohru was only five by this time. That so much of his family was disappearing so suddenly was very alarming to his young mind... Vesta on the other hand was insanely distressed. She was losing everything she'd known for so long, no matter how unhappy with it she'd been. She had only Tohru left... This young child with his wide and unknowing lavender eyes... She couldn't allow him to leave. In any way she could, she had to box him up so he'd be stuck with her forever.

She rearranged her deal with Amara's grandparents, so that she'd be betrothed to Tohru instead. They were going a bit senile, so it wasn't a particularly daunting task... Amara certainly wasn't pleased. This boy was so young and petite and nothing like Kasen at all! She'd probably be better off on her own than with him... Nonetheless, with her grandparent's health failing, she spent more and more time with Vesta and Tohru. She watched as Vesta cajoled and taunted the young boy throughout his years until he became quiet and distant. If his own mother could treat him like that, then certainly she could as well! Amara had never seen someone as bold and fiery and Vesta, and after a while, she came to respect the woman.

Once Amara's grandparents had passed, the family moved from the Celestial Plane to Ayr, with Vesta hoping it would further deter either of the children from leaving her. Together the two women managed to crush the young Dovaa's spirit before he had much of it at all. They berate him with their problems and tell him how useless and unworthy he is of just about everything. Tohru has absolutely no aspirations or hopes for the future, just that he will be a burden on whomever he is around.

During a particularly nasty spat with his betrothed, Tohru flees to Ayr's windy peeks. There, Kasen comes to the rescue. he scoops his younger brother up, and they live together on Eowyn for quite some time. Kasen does his best to train Tohru in the ways of magic, but his best doesn't seem to be enough... He sends the little Kiandri back to the Celestial Plane for training with the College of Sorcery. It is there that Tohru meets Ithric, a Peisio Dovaa.

Ithric takes it upon himself to at least prepare Tohru enough to keep him alive in the wolds. The two head to Ayr to do a bit of training, but Ithric doesn't know that it is there where Tohru's mother and fiance live. The two parties happen to come into contact with each other, and it ends in a mess, with Vesta telling her son and his companion that she will not hesitate to kill either of them if they should meet again. Unfortunately, while the two are heading back to the ferry, they are attacked by wild rajsha. Tohru makes it out unharmed, but... Ithric doesn't return.

The little Kiandri leaves for the Celestial Plane on his own. Aboard the ferry he meets a group of spirited women who encourage him to join them on Eowyn, once he's had a conversation with Markus, the Dovaa leader. After he is granted the rank of Expert, Tohru returns to Eowyn to meet up with the strange group. Eowyn is besieged by mara, so Tohru takes time to learn of patience and magic with his new friends.

Relationships

Dragons:
Tohru is terrified of them, of course! They're much bigger than him, and not afraid to hurt him (unfortunately, Tohru doesn't really like to hurt anything). Although... The Dovaa were bornFrom what he's faced of them, they seem more like mindless killing machines than anything else.

Khehora:
Weary of them. He'd never approach one openly of his own free will, but since they are also born of Dragon's blood (like the Dovaa), and are actually capable of communication, maybe they aren't as bad as the Dragons. He's even heard tales of Magescians that could tame Khehoras, though he's never seen one for himself. He'd probably never be able to do such a thing...
Darke Frost: An Aiskala Alihora that is bonded to Maeron Aredan.
'I-I don't think I care very much for Darke's bonded, but the Alihora himself actually seems... okay. It was obvious that he had a lot of love and devotion toward his boy. I didn't think any Khehora was capable of that... I wonder, if perhaps a Khehora could show that much affection to me...?'
Toki: An old Kiandri Khehora that is the shaman of his clan. He spotted Tohru while the youngster was fleeing from dragons, and helped him through the battle.
'H-he was very brash at out initial encounter. I should probably do my best to stay out of his way. He seems the easily angered type.'

People:
Tohru is probably even more afraid of other Magescians than he is of Dragons. Dragons, at least, are only out to protect their territory or hunt for food, but people can be cold and ruthless for no reason. Orderites, Oblivionites, and Hybrids are races he'd especially afraid of. Since Dovaa are full of 'true goodness,' he need not fear them unless he's actually doing something to annoy them.
Maeron Aredan: A purple-haired Orderite man that is Bonded to Darke Frost. He journeyed through the Cave of Dragons with Tohru, and then proceeded to fight him to test his strength!
'This guy is... a little too much for me, I think. I've never met someone so hyper, aggressive, and loud before... I suppose I should have expected it, since he wouldn't possess the true goodness of a Dovaa. I'll have to be more weary of which non-Dovaa I approach... This one was far too violent for me to handle...'

My NPCs:
Characters I made specifically to go along with Tohru's story~
Amara Batya: Tohru's arranged fiance since he was five. She is seven years older than him. She looks up to Vesta as a role-model, and even chose the Firani clan solely because it was the clan Vesta chose. Her hopes are to be as fierce as the woman she looks up to, and she mimics Vesta's attitude toward Tohru.
'Now that I've left her, I feel almost like a traitor. She and my mother had our whole lives planned out, but... Somehow I ended up with Kasen. She obviously despises me for that. I met her again on Ayr after I'd left, and... And I think she tried to kill me. Even if she didn't succeed this time, if we meet again, she won't be holding back.'
Ash: An dark-skinned, bespectacled Ayrala Dovaa that exudes confidence and self worth. he travels with Tohru's friends' circus troupe.
'Tohru's thoughts.'
Atris: An Oblivionite-Orderite hybrid that travels with the circus group. Wields dual-magic. Has a twin named Niteo.
'I'm still not entirely sure what it is. But honestly, that's really the only off-putting thing about Atris... I can't tell the twins apart, and I don't know their genders, but overall they seem... Pretty nice, actually. They're a touch peculiar and it may be a little disturbing how they hang off of each other sometimes, but I could come to appreciate them, I think.'
Cadeo: A Peisio Khehora that pities the young Dovaa boy. He spotted Tohru while the Dovaa was out collecting flowers for his home. While he'd originally planned on attacking him, when Tohru only cowered and whimpered, Cadeo could only tut and shake his head at how pathetic the boy was. He managed to soothe Tohru by making water dance in time to the sounds the boy made. Cadeo also encouraged Tohru to sing to help him have more focus over his magic.
'He's a feral Khehora, so of course I was a little nervous when we first met... But... he's okay. I might've been right about Dragons and Khehora having some of the same goodness of a Dovaa. I... I think maybe Cadeo might be... a friend...? He's helped me more than once now, and after I met my mother again, he did his best to make sure I got to the Plane safely, even if I would've preferred anything else.'
Cela: A Ysali Dovaa female that Tohru met on his way to the Celestial Plane from Ayr. She was being bullied by Ravi in the Celestial Plane's streets while Tohru was talking to the Dovaa leader.
'She... sniffed me when we first met. I don't suppose I've ever met someone so strange as her. She's bubbly, girly, talkative, carefree... What do I make of this girl? I haven't know her long enough to tell... But when she was being picked on, I knew I had to do something, even if it wasn't much. She's too sweet and genuine to leave to fend for herself.'
Ithric Kasuk: Ithric is a Peisio Dovaa that is thirteen years older than Tohru. Ithric stopped a particularly aggressive Firani from doing too much harm to Tohru when everyone else was content to just sit by and watch. More about Ithric can be found in the bottom of this post.
'It's... strange that anyone would be inclined to stand up for me for any reason... Even if he doesn't like to see other people hurt. Ithric is quite possibly the most genuine, carefree, amicable person that ever existed. I was lucky to have met him, but the same can not be said of me... I disobeyed Ithric's wishes and he paid the ultimate price for my insubordination. Of all the people that didn't deserve it, Ithric was certainly at the top of the list. I killed him, and now I can never forgive myself.'
Kasen Soleiris: Tohru's older brother by nine years. He was Amara's original engagement, but he ran off before she turned of age. He chose the Gaili clan, like his father. He was spirited and cheerful as a child, and always looked out for Tohru's best interest. Before he left, he told his little brother, "I'll come back for you." He's now taken his younger brother under his wing, and the two live together on Eowyn.
'Kasen... It feels like it's been forever since I've seen him... Of all my past memories, it was the time with my brother that I cherished the most... Still is, I suppose... But... I'm not sure if it's alright for us to live together. My mother and Amara... They need me, and Kasen... I will just be a burden to him. He is too full of goodness. We spent several years together, and I can already see that I am draining him. It's so unfair to him.'
Niteo: An Oblivionite-Orderite hybrid that travels with the circus group. Wields dual-magic. Has a twin named Atris.
'I'm still not entirely sure what it is. But honestly, that's really the only off-putting thing about Niteo... I can't tell the twins apart, and I don't know their genders, but overall they seem... Pretty nice, actually. They're a touch peculiar and it may be a little disturbing how they hang off of each other sometimes, but I could come to appreciate them, I think.'
Ravi: An agressive Firani Dovaa that is around Tohru's age. When Tohru first joined the College of Sorcery, Ravi was his first opponent. He is aggressive and eager to strike weaker foes during battle. Later, he was bullying Cela in the streets. He is now deceased.
'I have to admit that even though Ravi was painfully interested in injuring me, I can't hold it against him. Maybe I'm just a good target for a Firani...? He does need someone to practice on... He's obviously very talented, even if he doesn't have the true goodness of a Dovaa. As soon as he started bullying Cela, i stepped in to stop him. I... Don't think I meant to hurt him too badly, but... I lost control of my magic and... I killed him.'
Thane Soleiris: Tohru's father and a Gaili Dovaa. He dearly loved both his sons and spent every moment he possibly could with them. Fearing that the war would damage his family, he set out to try and talk some sense into the warriors, but he was killed for his attempts.
'If it's been a long time since I've seen Kasen, it's been an even longer time since I've seen my father. Honestly, I don't remember his face too much, just his voice... I feel awful for that, but... I know he was good. Of all the Dovaa, my father may have been the most good. But I... I don't expect to see him again... Ever...'
Vega: An Orderite engineer that Tohru met on his trip from Ayr to the Celestial Plane. Fights with mechanical gauntlets.
'I should've been weary of her, seeing as how she isn't a Dovaa, but... After the events that transpired on Ayr, I can't bring myself to care. She seems friendly, even though we aren't of the same race. And she invited me to Eowyn for some reason. I have no where else to return to, so I suppose I'll join her there.'
Vesta Alecto: Tohru's mother. She has the fiery temper of a Firani and the hormones of a woman to exemplify it. She is bold, brash, loud, and unrestrained with her husband dead. Since his passing, she may have lost it a bit and takes all of her frustrations out on her one remaining child. She is desperate for attention and affection, but she absolutely terrifies Tohru.
'My mother is... She always seems so angry when I'm around... It's been that way for as long as I can remember... Do I make her that unhappy...? I know I'm not as great a son as Kasen, but... I guess all I can do his obey her wishes and hope that I can just do something right and good and true by her... When last we met, I realized the depth of her hatred for me. If I am fortunate, then we will never cross paths again.'
Zera: An Orderite-Dovaa hyrbrid that chose the Aiskala clan and wields a bow and arrow. Tohru met her on his trip from Ayr to the Celestial Plane.
'Of the three girls I met on the ferry, this one seems the most suspicious of me. Finally, someone who understands. I hardly trust myself to be around people after Ithric... Well, Zera must understand. She isn't cold or mean, but she was the most weary.'

Ithric Kasuk
Name:
Ithric Kasuk (Pronounced: EE-th-rĭk Kuh-sook)
Gender:
Male
Race:
Dovaa
Stage:
Master
Age:
Master - 34 years (Current)
Expert - 28 years
Clan:
Peisio
Nicknames:
None

Likes:
Reading (on particularly frosty days, Ithric would rather sit inside and enjoy a book), relaxing (when it comes right down to it, he's actually kind of lazy, especially when left alone. If he has no plans or nothing better to do, he really is content to spend the day dozing), dates (Ithric is not afraid to immerse himself in a group of people. He's outgoing, clever, and fun and uses these traits to his advantage, particularly when there are women involved), and surprises (he may not like to have things hidden from him, but nothing beats the excitement and wonder of a really good surprise!).
Dislikes:
Bullying (there is literally nothing on this planet that is more of a waste of time and effort), being incapacitated (he's maybe had a few too many drinks in his years and has come to the conclusion that he doesn't much care for the effects - doesn't always stop him from doing it, but still), and relying on someone else (it's fine if others want to do it, Ithric won't look down on them, but at his age it would be kind of embarrassing if he couldn't rely on his own abilities, wouldn't it?).
Strengths:
Easygoing (generally carefree and forgiving unless someone purposefully does something to spite him), protective (he's willing to step in if anyone or anything needs his help, regardless of the abilities of the opponent), and honest (words come easily an unhindered to Ithric - he always says what he thinks and feels).
Weaknesses:
Retaliation (Ithric's naturally carefree nature is instantly thrown off-balance the instant someone rude comes into the picture - he mirrors the same attitude back at them regardless of any other factors, and yes, he holds a grudge), honest (words come easily an unhindered to Ithric - he always says what he thinks and feels), flighty (Ithric will start or try anything, but the second it becomes too much work or doesn't yield results, he's likely to give up on it and move to something else), and impatient (especially when it comes to waiting on other people. Ugh, he hates waiting on someone to do something if he could do it quicker himself!).
Fears:
Animals that can survive without their head (its obviously some kind of wicked sorcery), public bathrooms/showers/etc. (everyone knows the kind of strange, blasphemous acts that happen in there - he may have even partaken in a few in his younger years), and being stuck in the same place doing the same things forever (there's a world to explore, and Ithric doesn't want to be captured in a monotonous routine).
Quirks:
Ithric makes it painfully apparent when he's disinterested or isn't listening to something someone is saying by rolling his eyes, tapping his foot and going out of his way to look for things more interesting. Tugs the hair at his neck when he's thinking or uncertain.
Personality:
To those who capture his interest (and hold it), Ithric can be a great, caring, devoted, protective friend. On most days. Generally, one particularly bad spell can be enough to drive him away, unless he feels that he is particularly needed. Catching and holding his devotion can be challenging, though, as Ithric loves to roam and mingle and not be tied down at all.
Description (Master):
Ithric is... aging. Once tall and skinny, he's actually taking on a bit of pudge now. His natural hair is chestnut with blond tips. Since choosing the Peisio clan, his bangs turned deep navy and are tipped in white. His horns, scales, and eyes are a smoky navy color. The scales are riddled all across his body. His horns are shaped similarly to a male deer's, with the exception that Ithric's are angled backward, rather than branching out. He also has a set of large, navy dragon wings sprouting from his shoulder blades. After a run-in with a particularly nasty ground of creatures, he also has deep scars and pockmarks all along his body. Most notably, three long claw marks that extend from above his hairline and vertically down the right side of his face, across his neck and back. This particular attack ruined his right eye, turning it into a greyish, cloudy, sightless orb.
Speech Color:
