Photography -- Hey, I just dropped a penny WHOA WHAT THE HELL? Elke comes equipped with a Nikon D90 and at least ten different lenses. She takes pictures of everything, obsessively, and often without warning. This isn’t to say she isn’t good; she’s an excellent photographer. She just doesn’t know how to say “Hello, please sign this model release form!” Her ambition is to one day be a famous globetrotting photojournalist.
Blogging -- The best way to get into photojournalism is to actually journalize, so Elke obsessively maintains her blog, which is creatively titled “The Not-So-Secret Life of Elke Arma”. Unfortunately, more often than not, it’s full of ‘cute videos’ and silly rants. Sometimes, though, there are a few gems - not groundbreaking journalism by any stretch, but genuinely thoughtful entries on the goings-on at Crystal Academy and environs.
Writing -- Going hand-in-hand with blogging, Elke really enjoys writing, especially fantasy novels. She used to want to write romance novels for her living, and probably would have done quite good at it. She changed her mind when it came to light that her brother wanted to be a writer, too, and she couldn’t disappoint him and still look herself in the mirror.

Virtues:
Honest -- “Say, was it you who spilled juice on my essay?”
“Yep!”
Elke is not a very good liar, and so she’s learned to just tell the truth, all the time. You can ask her just about anything and she’ll answer you with a smile and a nod. Then, if you look angry, she’ll beat feet back to her room and lock the door. This isn’t to say she never tries to lie; if she’s nervous about your reaction, she’ll give it a go once, but it almost never works. Most of the time, she'll tell you 'I told the truth, so you can't be mad', but when she's telling you she's not lying about ruining your $2,000 computer, it's hard not to be.
Optimism -- "It's all right! There'll be other cats!"
She looks at the world through a happy lens. There is nothing that cannot be twisted to the brighter side, nothing that won't be made brighter by her rose-colored glasses, and certainly nothing that can make her decide that something was totally bad. There is always a good thing going on! Your cat died? Well, now you get a kitten! You failed a test? Well, now you get to spend more time with that hot teacher's aide! ;D She wants to believe the best for you, and will relentlessly seek out the silver lining to your black storm cloud.
Loyal -- "It's okay, I'll help you out!"
It is Elke's job, her solemn and sworn duty as your friend (and she is your friend, even if you've never met before) to take care of you when you're down and make sure you're happy. Whether this is helping you with homework, writing nasty emails to or blogs about people who've hurt you, or just sitting around and having dorm room sleepovers, she always keeps an open door and an open ear. She takes her job very seriously, and will not stop until you feel better.
Flaws:
Overzealous -- "BURN with the spirit of kindness and courtesy!"
The downside to being so perky and so upbeat is that she absolutely cannot bide it when her friends are down. Everyone must be happy, all the time, and they've got to be demonstratively happy. She doesn't settle for content! Elke agitates and agitates like a washing machine until all the unhappiness is gone, or until you throw a book at her head with disturbing accuracy. If you aren't cheered up by the time she's done with you, she's usually sad and disappointed by her own failure. On the slightly odd side, while expecting you to be constantly happy, she will not let you try and rouse her out of a mood if she doesn't want to be roused.
Insecure (Weakness) -- "Do I bother you? Please tell me if I'm bothering you, I don't want to!"
Elke doesn't seem like it, but she worries over everything; her relentless optimism is a way to get over it. She always wonders if her abilities are up to par with the other students - she feels she isn't as smart or as talented as others at Barren Pine, and feels that the best way to ensure she's not ostracized for this is to ingratiate herself to them. They can hardly ignore her if she's right up there helping them when they need it, can they? She's hardly jealous of them - she just really, truly wants to feel like she's good enough to be there, and feels that becoming the better students' best friend will help her feel that way.
This is her weakness because it can be easily exploited. She has a lot of faith in humanity, but not much faith in herself - saying something as simple as "What're you good for" is enough to mess her up. She really doesn't think she measures up to everyone else, and when her Senshi form turns out to be nothing but backup, nothing but (what she views as) horrible, useless backup, it's easy to cripple her by implying she's doing no good to anyone.
Aesthete -- "OMG what happened to your shirt?!"
While she's by no means a supremacist when it comes to beauty, she insists on everything being beautiful and that really slows her down on projects. She doesn't work well when she can't make something beautiful and shiny and gorgeous, which leads to a bunch of late nights working on posters with glitter-glue and a tiny paintbrush. Her clothes are always in-fashion (the advantages of having an ambassador for a father?) and in a color palette exactly suiting her when she's not in school uniform.
This is, in fact, a flaw. She unconsciously stereotypes those who dress shabbily or don't take care of themselves as lazy, as less 'deep' and deserving of her empathy as people who clearly do try. Of course she'll still make a go at helping people out, and this is negated somewhat by the fact that the schools have uniforms, but she won't try so hard if you don't look as put-together as she does.
Also, if her outfit is messed up, she will be pissed. She has to look her best at all times, and if someone spills juice all down her front that hardly qualifies as looking her best. Elke can be slightly a**l about the maintenance of her clothes and her room - it doesn't matter where things are, but it has to look pleasing. Clutter and mess will be rectified quickly, unless it's attractive clutter.
tl;dr - IF YOU ARE GOING TO MESS UP ELKE'S STUFF, MAKE IT PRETTY.

Attack 1: Virgo Immaculate Reflection
What it does: Virgo channels an energy field on another senshi that, if they get attacked, she takes on their wounds for up to one minute. This can only be used on senshi; not cats, not negaverse, and not civilians. It will work on a Cavalier if that Cavalier is attached to the senshi she's shielding; Cavaliers do not detract from the amount of time the energy field will function. She can use it twice per battle. Which is good, because otherwise she'd probably get herself killed.
In play, this means: Virgo Post #1: She begins the attack. Virgo Post #2: Attack continues. Virgo Post #3: Attack ends.
EXCEPTION: Gemini--Virgo may guard both of them at once.
EXCEPTION: Zue--Virgo may guard Zue, but only for thirty seconds at a time.
Attack 2: Virgo Sincere Refraction
What it does: Virgo channels an energy field on up to five senshi or cavaliers that causes her to take on their wounds. The fewer senshi she guards, the longer she can hold the field; one senshi for six minutes, and then down one minute for each senshi added. She can only guard Cavaliers if they're "plugged in" to another senshi she's guarding. Cavaliers do not detract from the use time. At the end of her attack, the wounds are "refracted" from Virgo to the people who caused them in the first place.
As with Immaculate Reflection, she cannot use this ability on cats, Negaverse agents, or civilians, and only six minutes of cumulative use per battle. One minute is defined in Immaculate Reflection.
EXCEPTION: Gemini--They only count as one senshi.
EXCEPTION: Zue--But he counts as two senshi.
About Virgo
The constellation Virgo is the sixth astrological sign of the Zodiac, considered a "negative" or introvert sign as well as a female sign. It is an earth sign and a mutable sign, which means it happens during a seasonal transition. Virgo transitions between summer and autumn. Roommate: Serenade Soriano
Specialty: Linguist - Elke learns languages very quickly, speaking three of them (English, French, German) fluently and two more (Spanish and Italian) nearly so; her eyes are set on East Asian languages next, particularly Mandarin Chinese. This isn't to say that she magically learns them - she requires tutelage, and performs her best in immersion programs after learning the basics in a classroom setting- but still, it's very hard to learn so many languages so quickly and she's very proud of the accomplishment. She does not copy the accents, not for a long while; a native speaker, talking to her, might comment that she has an abominable French accent, as French is her first language. It takes her about a month to learn to speak the basic language fluently, another two to start grasping nuances, and she doesn't remember the languages indefinitely; she has to practice to keep her grasp on it.
