Page 11, Page 24, Page 34 Location: A7 Action: Recording everything he can. Staying close to his General.
The general named Ashanite had his subordinates with him, but they didn’t seem too enthusiastic about introducing themselves to him and Akaganeite and Ako with her, which was fine. He didn’t need to know them if they weren’t already interested.
The Chaos from the blast Laurelite sent at the creature was felt in his very bones. Even as a Captain, Reidite couldn’t help but have an inkling of fear at what the Negaverse was capable of. The Queen always seemed cool headed, but it was obvious there was immense power at her control.
He watched as the scales fell, but was relieved when they were blocked by some forcefield. The scales were still a threat, but they were far enough away from the ones threatening to break through that he wasn’t too concerned.
Aquamarine, on the other hand, looked like he was having a time.
Reidite didn’t leave the area. He would stand guard unless told to do otherwise. Instead, he kept recording everything happening around him.
Page 14, Page 21, Page 34 Location: B6 Action: Watching Tyndareus and sticking with Axinite. Suggesting he could teleport to get the spike (probably).
Taenite whistled, impressed by the giant beam of Chaos directed at the serpent. He hadn’t expected something like that, and he cast a glance at Axinite, as though to question if there was anything else the man knew that he was hiding from him.
“Give the word and I can teleport up to try and grab that spike,” he nodded to Axinite. He had Tyndareus to keep an eye on, but they needed that spike if they wanted to get anything accomplished. And he knew that Axinite worried.
Right now, it looked like they were all just getting ready. The little alien group had a trick up their sleeve with the shield, and while he would prefer the shield to remain, it didn’t look like it would last much longer. The sooner they had the spike, the better.
What the ******** was that?? Arawn couldn’t help but stare in alarm at the display from the Negaverse Queen. He knew the Dark Mirror Court didn’t have the same numbers as the Negaverse, but if the Negaverse couldn’t take that thing down, what use were any of them?
“Someone might be able to grab the spike? Are you serious? That’s your plan, Remarque?” Arawn growled, his shoulders tense. They just had a volley of scales raining down on them, one very close to where they were now.
“That shield isn’t going to hold,” he pointed, because he was certain Remarque and the others saw the cracks as well. “Why are we even here? What can we do?”
He felt tense and uncertain. He had Laon at his side, his arm around him to keep him close. What could they actually do to help fight this thing when it was so huge, still?
“Even if someone can get close enough to it to grab the spike, it looks like it’s embedded pretty deep. We’d need, like, rope or something to pull it out. Probably,” he frowned.

Ancha, Senshi of Red Tide Location: F6 Action: having a very poor time of it with chaos sweeping the field
She had been fine. She had been fine until the wave of Chaos hit her like a ton of bricks and bowled her over. Ancha staggered back, a searing pain in the center of her chest and forehead making her grab instinctively for something to hold onto. Invectives hissed from between her lips, colouring the air around her as black as the sky above and below them.
It was the sound of the scales hitting the shield that caught her attention and forced her to look up past the sharp ache in the center of her body. "Jesus–" It was then that she realised what she had grabbed hold of and yanked her hand back from Hydor's, "--christ." A sharp breath to try and dispel the lingering pain, "did you know they–she–could do that?"
The sheer amount of Chaos on the field flattened Sacha's ears and rose the fur along his spine, and he instinctively hissed at it as he flattened himself against Ancha's legs. Not that he knew, of course, what he could actually do. He was one Mauvian, and it didn't seem like anyone else on Order was having much better of a time of it than he and Ancha were. Luckily for their forces that the blast was centered on the sky snake above them and not at them.
There would have been nothing they could have done if she had targeted them instead.
As the pain and Chaos subsided, Sacha's breathing came easier and his fur flattened back down where it belonged. Shaking himself out, he caught Ancha's question and replied, "I did not, no."

Cadet Rhysi Location: G2 to F2 to E2 Action: graciously allowing Joy to charge up her source stone, dropping it off with Lyndin, then moving to be closer to two areas of interest (Joyeuse Garde is following)
In the near distance, Rhsyi noticed several White Moon senshi, including those with the glowing marks of their world bonds, approach the Vanguard. Whatever negotiations took place, they were clearly successful. Turning her head to the nearby Earth knight, Rhysi stated, bringing out her source stone, "You can donate energy."
The knight was fortunately quick to grasp the situation and didn't dally in offering such simple assistance for their shield. She did not have the glowing markings, but the situation made fully charging the source stone a rapid process.
Rhysi jogged to Lyndin to offer her freshly charged source stone and then kept going. Torn between one of the precarious scales and the clear failing point of the spike formation, she decided to position herself at a location near both. Turning her head, she was a little startled to see that the Earth knight had followed her.
Super Hybris location: H9 actions: pretending that nothing is scary at all, this is fine, asking Remarque a question
Hopefully the photo Hela took was appropriately flattering. He still hadn't forgotten the way that underground cemetery has ruined his much anticipated October photo session. Hybris very much approved of letting the Negaverse Queen (and oh, did queen utterly fail to describe whatever that was) do as much of the heavy lifting as possible. But as Hybris's big, strong, and powerful leader, he couldn't let Remarque entirely off the hook.
Particularly when it appeared that they'd very nearly been hit by simple falling debris.
With Arawn's question, Hybris smiled mildly at Remarque and asked with such, great, admiration, "How close would it need to be for you to use that big, impressive, string magic of yours, Your Highness?"
Yvoire, Squire of Ganymede, sans hat PAge 25Page 30 Location: F8 Action: Being sad and alone. (I’m just writing words so I can roll. He’ll get nicer posts later, hopefully.)
Between Fight, Flight, or Freeze, Yvoire would have chosen Fight. Unfortunately, there wasn’t anything to fight; the Calamitous Hollow remained well out of reach, its scales raining down on them after a potent blast of Chaos. Even if combat had been possible, Yvoire didn’t know if he would have been capable of it, shaken as he was by the extraordinary show of power. He ducked down and covered his head. Two scales fell alarmingly close, but they crashed into a hastily erected shield.
In the absence of fighting, Yvoire would have chosen Flight. He didn’t like to run if he could help it—he told himself he wasn’t a coward even if he occasionally shied away from things—but sometimes retreat was the best course of action. Under the circumstances—on his own, with no sense of direction, turning from here to there to find his friends but seeing only less familiar or unfriendly faces—Yvoire didn’t think anyone would have blamed him for withdrawing.
But where could he retreat to?
So he froze.
He wondered, What am I doing here?
Beneath the massive serpent, surrounded by those who were stronger and more experienced than him, Yvoire felt small and helpless, paralyzed by fear, by the lingering burn in his starseed, and by his own impotence.
Whatever the Queen had done, though impressive, left the Calamitous Hollow airborne. A dozen or so scales, large enough to crush several people at once, crashed into the Vanguard’s shield. Many shattered on impact. Three remained, causing the shield to bow beneath them. One landed far too close for Carnallite’s liking.
She would not stay to see it fall through.
Carnallite strolled through the crowd until she found what she hoped would be a safer position.
Andronicus, Knight of Uranus Location: H1 -> F3 Action: Right, the Queen can just do that. Moving to provide the Vanguard energy.
Andronicus gritted her teeth at the sudden torrent of Chaos through the field. Her stomach roiled and she leaned on her staff to keep herself up right. Gods, she'd forgotten just how much power that b***h wielded. Even a cross the damn field it hit her like a truck. Scales fell and she saw them hit---
A shield.
A shield that Lyndin created, that the Velencians were helping to fuel and keep it going.
"... I hate that damn alien but I hate the Queen and that snake more at the moment. I suggest we go give the Vanguard as much energy as we can stand to give; if the b***h hits the beast with any more of those blasts and that shield fails, we'll be in a world of hurt," she said to Ashur. Her eyes narrowed a little at one of the, she thought they might be called Commanders? leveled a rifle at the princess trying to offer energy.
"... They might do that to me too, I did try to punch Lyndin the last time he was messing with a device," she said with a half chuckle. She truly did not like the man, but he wasn't trying to kill them for power at the moment. The enemy of her enemy was her... ally?
Andronicus crossed the distance and held out her hands, glancing at the group.
"Commodore, before your very loyal fellows fill me with holes, I'm here to offer what energy you need," she said, watching him specifically.
Catching her breath and deciding that things might be okay (everybody looked really ready and stuff right?) Mönch quickly put on the little pin and bracelet from the magic bag. She considered whether or not she should eat the berry now or save it, but it was a good thing she hadn't! Because just then Mönch's stomach dropped with horrible power that washed over everything and she was standing off to the side of Chillingham, throwing up her dinner.
"It's really bad!" Mönch squeaked out in a tiny voice. She looked up just in time to see huge scales falling down! And getting blocked by magic shields! But also kind cracking under the attack!
"Oh no...Chillydown, we're really in it now," she said in hushed tones. "Maybe we...should be nicer to your brother." Maybe he had a point. "Sometimes?" But not always, of course.
There is, in America's heart, a deep and abiding love, and comfort, in being small in the face of something too massive to fully embrace. In being lost in front of the existence of something grand. She loved the oceans, and the deserts, and the vastness of a sky with an unbroken horizon. She thought of the space outside the merchant's museum, sometimes, that moment of beholding something beyond all measure.
And Queen Laurelite, summoning and then using all that power made her feel so smal and in awe. But it also did something the ocean with its unexplored depths and space with its every growing expanse, had never instilled in her: she felt a little afraid. It was more than just the discomfort of the moment, a price that was more than fair for their salvation, along with all their efforts at collecting energy and starseeds! Later she'd question it and maybe come to the conclusion that it was too much power in the hands of a single being. It was a question for another time, though. Or maybe never.
It took a moment to recover from their Queen's huge attack, and then the tall aliens did something. A smaller attack, but more importantly, some big honkin shields. Good thing too, one of the huge scales had nearly hit her! Or at least ominously hovered over her! Looking up at it and the wild a** folks going up onto that barrier, Brassite shook her head.
Turning to look at Hessonite after Faustite's harem bros had ******** off because of visions or whatever, Brassite asked, "So was that what we were gathering more energy for, ma'am?"
Unfortunately for all of them Gorner was right about the pain that they were going to go through, and it was agonizing, feeling like it was going to last forever when there were only a few seconds. For a moment Caliban wondered if this is what the signs of a medical emergency were, if it was then he would have definitely called if he had been able.
As quickly as it began it was over and Caliban could see that the creature had shrunk, at least a bit. More of it could be seen now.
He gripped Gorner's hand. "Right, and I only have physical-type attack powers." He said trying not to sound too much like they were in some sort of video game. "The scales though..." He wondered if his power might be able to do something about it. Either way he would have to calculate when to use his magic as it couldn't be used that much. "Let's get ready for that thing to retaliate."
Sleet Tempest Snape
Might be able to do something about the scale, but definitely need to see what's going to happen
They barely had any time for introductions, which Drombeg was thankful of. More talking around them and he was afraid the Queen might recognize him, even if they had never met in person while he was an Agent, he was sure she may have had some sort of power that would allow her to see through.
Before he was able to follow Dej however the Queen demonstrated what she could do to the beast and he could feel pain racing across his entire body. He stifled the cry that he wanted to let out and could feel himself stagger from the pain. It was soon over though and while others appeared to be amazed at the power, he couldn't help but think that if she really was that powerful she could have done more to the creature. Either that or she was holding back. He didn't like that last thought.
He decided to get away from the Queen, following Dej so more Order would be together. He couldn't help but wonder what the Queen wanted out of all of this...
Arseno couldn't help but let out a sigh when the Queen demonstrated her power, followed by a nauseous feeling in his chest, which he hoped wasn't heartburn, as she used her power on the monster. "S***" He couldn't help but let out a whisper when it happened. She could have at least warned them that she was going to attack.
People were much nicer in raids online, most of the time. At least they warned people when they were going to pull.
The vanguard followed up with their attack and the creature was smaller, but more the size of something he had seen in a video game, which made him wonder how they were supposed to attack it. Ranged only? Get on it's back somehow?
He looked over at Ram and raised an eyebrow. "Think you could jump to it at that height?"
If the amount of chaos energy was felt by Ram, he hid it very well, barely even blinking when the Queen showed off her power. At least it was ranged, that would be helpful. His ear twitched and he turned to look at Arseno when the General asked his question. "Needs to be lower." He said, looking at the serpent from where they were. His legs were indeed powerful, but even he couldn't reach it's height. Not yet.
The display that their Queen put on was amazing and incredible though something about it did set her a little on edge. It was so much energy, all at once, and had simply... shorn off scales. She pursed her lips and frowned a little. She really thought it would do the thing!
Her attention turned to the fire that was her father at the moment. The flames shuddered as a pulse of something went up and through him. Mizuki reached forward to grab the spike as well, helping to distribute the surges. She would not let her father bear the burden of this alone this time.
Never again.
And when Helio told their General King that the Hallow was so very close to Earth? That it didn't even seem to notice the attack from their Queen?
She held out her other hand to Helio, as if she could take some of his connection to the Hallow too.
The wave of energy hit little Haymitch and he shuddered a little. It roiled and made him a little nauseous, if only because it was just so much Chaos at once. He listened quietly as Helio told Hessonite what he'd seen, then nodded when he turned to them. Their General King was calling, and they would follow.
Seeing the others start to grab the spike and Faustite share the burden with them, Haymitch hunkered down on Albite's shoulder to do what he could.
Captain Litharge Location: D2 - > A4 Action: Summoned back to Faustite, helping
Litharge's eyes went wide when their Queen blasted the damn thing in the side, then went wider as it didn't seem to even notice them. Something that Helio confirmed when he told the group with Hessonite his vision. The Hallow was almost at Earth and didn't even spare a thought towards them.
They were like ants to it.
Litharge gave a firm nod and let the summon take him across the field. He joined the team in shouldering the burden of the spike, letting the over confident feelings fuel him and keep the fear at bay.
This was getting worse by the minute. Hydrus gritted his teeth against the rush of Chaso from Laurelite's blast. The leviathan did shrink, not before shedding scales where she'd hit it. He glanced around as Remarque talked to the group, thinking. He spied two person at the far northish (at least what he assumed was north) side, where, in theory, the sixth spike would go.
"Rem, I think it goes over there, where that knight and senshi are, based on where the other five are," said the senshi, shifting and pointing at the far end for a moment. They'd have to move, soon, before the Queen let off any more blasts and dropped more scales though. Any more of the scales, even at a smaller size, would make it hard to move around.
Super Grieve of the Collapse Location: G6 Action: shooting the s**t and abducting Mira as per usual Group: Hy-Brasil, Grieve, Nekoite, Roka, Brangane, Mirabilite
"Whatever called us with a time and place. Whatever gave Murikabushi and those others the spikes in the first place." Grieve scowled, and honestly it was a less awful expression than her smile. "Don't think it's the merchant, he deals in stuff but not..." She waved to the entirely of the area. "Might be Cosmos. b***h seems pretty invested in repopulating space with Earth as the starting point."
Speaking of, "Brangane! Did you just ********' get here? Right the ******** now?" And here was that awful smile and worse laugh, not to mention a little pride in both the other senshi never liking to see her face and also being forced into liking it now. Deminic Marge Simpson was practically crowing, enough to have let go of the lil' chaos s**t's uniform.
It was almost enough to patch over the grim unease the Chaos Ruler had brought. They'd have to get rid of that in the end, wouldn't they? That was the dark heart of this world and the cancer eating it from within. Cosmos wept, to deal with one horror while glimpsing what waited for them down the road.
But that was for then, and right now the snake was starting to look real ********' attackable. "Get ready, if it gets any smaller, things are gonna start getting real personal real ******** fast. Huge s**t is ******** scary, but it's the enemy that can loook at you and see you that is gonna want to kill you, specifically."
Almost idly, Grieve scooped up the staggering and spangled figure that had neared the group, lifting them up over her shoulder with the ease. "The Earth Knight can heal. This ******** up senshi," she gave Mirabilite's thigh a companionable pat, "...can help us stick together if there's any ******** or sight magic. Can also help clump together small enemies if the thing starts splitting down." Nodding at Roka and then Brangane, "Roka is a nasty little s**t." Enough said. "And the taller fish b***h's magic...it's probably not much use for now, but she's a decent enough fighter."
There was something so utterly surreal about everything going on around her; how if she squinted? It could've been a normal day. Just drifting along in someone's arms, fireman-carry-shotgun, banana-shoulder style. While half-listening to Lieutenant long skirts with the dyed fringe oh-so innocently, casually, try and chat up what she knew to be straight up *murderers*. Like, an entire team of murderers. The Celtics super fan, yellow-skinned devil on her shoulder, the pet fish with a cheese-grater grin.
Murderers.
Or, oh, what would Syrus call it? Attempted manslaughter, with a side of kidnapping -- 18 U.S.C. 1113. He had all the words for these things, numbers and chargers lined up like spreadsheets in his mind. Back when our blond boy was still on his game and had his head in the real world...
Mira did miss those times before. Not as fondly as she knew in her soul Syrus did, but there was a tiny chunk of nostalgia lodged within her heart for gentle moments of short years past. How some of her friends simply weren't meant for this lifestyle. How she could do absolutely nothing about that, save let what slipped through her fingers *go*. As the skies churned, and The Queen made the big snake shrivel down a size or two in the face of her even bigger lazer!
I suppose that's classic Harold for you, we should try icewater next. She thought blithely, giddily, blinking back into *now* with the slap to her bare thigh, only to realize in all her faint-hearted stumbling and the utter boggling of being dumped out so harshly (she wanted words with the flight attendant--) that she was in the middle of a lovely little reunion!
"Happy birthday, Brangane!" Was that an insane thing to say? It seemed like a polite greeting, like it was necessary, in truth. If only because Mira's heart could truly feel for someones first night on the town being their potential worst and last night on the town!
"Welcome to--- here." A lopsided shrug and grin as she balanced daintily in hold, clearing her throat as though it would help her be heard over Grieves crowing and the general din of the place. But? Someone had to get her name right and if Grieve wouldn't do it! "And 'this thing', is called Mira; shield maiden, bad b***h, mink scarf in under a minute--- and Banana-biceps one and only Visang?" A question on the end of the sentence, the way the word sounded to her own ears so much like 'miss thang' and if that wasn't some catchy, sassy s**t? If she was wrong---
Whatever, I like the sound of it and *thats* what matters most!
If nothing else, at the end of the world? She could say she got a great view and a nice ride.
