Half-youma General Lavendulan and Personal Youma - Tallulah
Roll: 93
Action: Accepting Stichtites spare weapon, planning with Staurolite, and having a panic attack over her newly awakened Lieutenant showing up.

Lavendulan looked to Miyamoto and nodded her head. "As ready as I can be," she replied.

Carefully she accepted one of the swords that were presented to her, mindful not to touch the blade. “Thank you General Stichtite,” she marveled at the curve of the blade, testing the weight of it as she wrapped her hand around the hilt. By comparison, she was smaller than he was, but it didn’t feel cumbersome to wield.

“I’m inclined to believe that if your magic is like Wolframite’s poison, then yes, it will affect me if I’m not careful.” Against her scales, she might be fine, but anywhere else she’d likely succumb to its effects, shifting into her water form might possibly spread it further. “I’ll be careful. But if the situation calls for it and you need it back, don’t hesitate to summon it back to you,” With her claws, she should be fine but would rather not test that theory.

She turned her attention back to Staurolite, watching as he lifted a bag off the ground. Seemed there was one for her as well which Tallulah had picked it up. “Your best is all anyone can ask for. You’re stronger now, faster than before, and that weapon looks like it’ll be more useful than the slingshot you had before.”

“I don’t know what’s up there,” she glanced towards the sky wairly. “But if we get separated or you get overwhelmed, I will teleport you to me and take you to a safe place.” There wasn’t much else she could offer him in the way of protection. “If anyone here gets hurt I’ll do what I can to heal but it might prove difficult if the fight is still ongoing.”

It wasn’t until Lavendulan took the velvet pouch from her youma that she thought to check her tablet. Maybe Wolframite had messaged, or Lopezite had arrived and was looking for her.

What she found instead made her pulse spike.

Two unread messages from Okenite.

Her stomach dropped, blood running colder than usual as she hissed, “s**t…” under her breath. Her face went pale, expression tightening as guilt and fear flickered behind her eyes, and without hesitation, she summoned him to her side.

“Okenite! What are you diong here?!” The words came out sharper than she meant but her panic was not easily hidden. Her eyes scanned over him like she expected to find him wounded already. “Do you realize how dangerous this place is right now? There are Knights, White Moon Senshi who would love a chance to grab an untrained officer!” Convince him of purification if given the opportunity.

Lavendulan caught herself mid-sprial, biting her lip as her hands clenched around the edge of her tablet. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to scold you. This is on me-” she accepted full responsibility due to lack of communication. “This is my fault. I should have told you to stay home the moment the summons went out.” Her voice cracked as she took a deep breath to steady herself. “I just… I didn’t expect you to come without checking in with me first.”

“I’m proud of you for showing up,” she said quieter now, knowing that they had a small audience near them. “I am. But I haven’t had a chance to train with you yet. I don’t know what you are capable of and now is not the time to figure it out.”

He was just a civilian a few weeks ago. A professor at the local college who enjoyed birdwatching and hiking, not throwing fists in a boxing ring.

“You’re not ready for this,” she whispered when in truth it was she who was not ready. “I don’t want you to get hurt. I just… I need you to be safe. Your briefcase is not enough for this…”

Meridiana - Super Senshi of the Succubus
Roll: 39
Action: Sorting through her items and chatting with Miyamoto.

Though she cast a wary glance toward the youma, Meridiana took a mental note of each name given as they were shared. Her gaze then lingered on the velvet pouches that had appeared seemingly from thin air as the other cautiously opened theirs before following suit.

The first item she found was a pin; elegant and simple with a purple diamond. She affixed it carefully to the top of her dress, smoothing the fabric beneath it.

Next was a small berry, no bigger than a cherry tomato. It was surprisingly firm, and when she held it to her nose, it carried a sweet scent. For now, she placed it back in the bag

The final object was a delicate bracelet, which shimmer slightly in the din-light. She slipped it over her wrist where it settled comfortably against the gold one she already wore, the two clicking together softly. The blue bag was then stowed away in her subspace pocket for safe keeping.

When she glanced up and caught Miyamoto’s gaze, his expression looked full of pride as he told her of his recent accomplishments. “That’s fantastic,” she replied warmly. “Not many can achieve that level of independence so quietly, and on your own no less. If we make it through this… I’d love to see your place. Maybe help you furnish it, if there’s anything you still need.” Meridiana offered, her voice full of genuine sincerity.

Captain Diaboleite
Action: With Beni, Jet, etc. Making sure Aoede is steady, equipping the bracelet and pin

“Thank you,” Diaboleite told Jet, and if he puffed up a little receiving a compliment from a General-King, that was probably a very natural reaction to that sort of thing. And if he felt a little better having Aoede by his side, that was also perfectly natural. A man was supposed to want to stand next to his fiancée, even if their arrangement wasn’t exactly traditional.

Mara got a nod of greeting, and Benitoite a shrug.

“I would rather know,” he said, simply. “For me…ignorance is not bliss. And i would rather have the chance to stand than while away the night on work that might have no meaning.”

Mara’s comment about their grandmother made him jerk his head and narrow his eyes. “Benitoite is right,” he said, in speedy French. “Absolutely not. Under no circumstances. Involving her would cause nothing but problems.” And put far more people in danger. There was a reason Benitoite had kept them out of this for so long. It was dangerous, and knowing too much was a danger all its own.

When the air changed, he reached for Aoede automatically, gently grabbing her arm to ensure she stayed steady. And when the little bags descended, he caught his, glancing to Jet and Benitoite—

With a General and a General-King’s assertion, he gave a short nod. “Seems they’re safe,” he said simply, and he fixed on the bracelet and pin, then tucked the berry back in the bag and put it in subspace. It seemed that they had far more help than they’d thought.

Vanguard Cadet Itztenoch
Location: With Team Vanguard
Action: Examining the Pouch, waiting for Orders.
Roll: 76

The buffet of wind nearly staggered Tenoch, making him want to hold onto Nessa that much more tightly, least till a jab into his side drug him sharply from his morose imaginings. The look he shot her, silent plea and abject gratitude all tangled in one, that she saw through him clear as glass pane over an aquarium; he might've even had the nerve to look a tad sheepish for being caught out so brazenly by her.

And it only makes me like her more that she's willing to do so---

He recognized his need of her, though his thoughts were quickly interrupted by the intrusion of -- a gift pouch?! It wasn't anyone's birthday, last he checked. Unless it was the skies? Some celebratory item to confer the monster swirling aboves bursting into their existence below--

Do we even have a choice? Tenoch silently wondered hearing Aliez's ask on the breeze, the only dealings he could think of with the purple creature in question was the one where they'd been invited as exterminators (saviors) to deal with Almadels infested museum of hoarded-woes. He almost wanted to warn Nessa of the object, but she was faster than he could've ever been, certainly seemed firm in her own resolve.

He could only hope that Vyn and Caelyna we're right, that Almadel was more well-meaning than manipulatively inclined. He trusted their generous benefactors graces only insomuch as he trusted Almadel needed them alive to handle this...

"Let's all hope Almadel needs this beast dead enough that we're worth keeping alive..." Offered aloud against the whipping wind, he quickly donned the items that drew him, frowned at the berry -- as if they were supposed to put strange foods in their mouth without thoroughly examining them first...honestly -- and the bracelet, strangest of them all in his mind, that an object he'd never seen could alight his senses like a beacon and *call* to him with the fondness of a familiar, friendly face.

It was as unnerving to put on as it was compellingly necessary; watching the silver glint on his wrist, and on Nessa's own, while he gladly took her hand back into his with much less possessive intent than before. Reaching out to the next face that popped up nearest to them. Of course it was--

Rhysi--

Scanning away, ever a scientist, a match for Nessa's bold ideas and steely spine. If ever he'd met someone else worth respecting for those sorts of merits? It was certainly her. "Rhysi, when you're done making sure this glitz won't eat through our skin and evaporate us into another dimension?" A wry smile for the blond haired Cadet, a simply raised eyebrow, her dedication to the cause was amusing. "You really should hold on...just in case...Right, Nessa?" If he could use the conversational moment as an excuse to stare at her a second longer instead of the torn open sky? He decided to keep that to himself.

Inside each bag are three items:
A tiny pin with a purple diamond; it is roughly the size of a dime and can be attached to any fabric material. - Attaching to Lapel
A round, purple berry that was firm to the touch and smelled sweet; it had a soft skin and was roughly the size of a cherry tomato. - Saving It in Bag in Subspace.
A bracelet that demands to be worn; something about it compels you to keep on your person. It is simple silver but has a multi-faceted, raindrop shaped gemstone charm dangling from it. The teardrop shaped gemstone has a silver glint to it and might have appeared clear if it weren’t for the swirling white mist trapped inside. Energy hummed inside these crystals–harvested, stored. Waiting to be used. There is a familiarity about them, though it may be hard to place. The Vanguard might feel as if it is of a fond memory, an echo of home. - Wearing it.

General Prehnite
Location: With Team AtroBella on the Hillside
Action: Examining the Pouch, debating attacking the sky.
Roll: 64

Prehnite wanted to answer Actaea, his mouth was open and poised to do so as the sky lurched beneath the pressure of something writhing just above its lining.

Oh, this certainly did feel similar as battles he'd been in before, to an unsettling degree---

Just not on earth, not with so many of them present and abiding by each others existence. He could think back to battling wispzilla -- of times in the Rift -- a last stand before the castle, wormhole torn open and order pouring in. Save how there was there was something *different* about this though. A moment that held weight to it.

The moment was there, and then derailed by an explosion of glitter, a tag and a pouch. The tag he let whip into the wind, simply because the letters on it offended him more than the glitter or the pouches contents -- at least -- what he could guess of the items hidden within the small heft of velvety sack, buried he was beneath Hatsya, it was a little hard to tell, especially caught as he was between glancing up to the others and mouthing 'help us all' -- in the face of Actaeas giggling, and Hylonome's fear-struck features, Sodalites prepared resignation to it all.

The hand Captain offered up looked like a gift he felt rude for ignoring for so long---

And I'm supposed to be the General here--

Captain Diasporite
Location: With Team Rak on the Hillside
Action: Examining the Pouch, waiting for orders.
Roll: 28

"Thank you Diesel..." Finally, a positive outlook! Dia looked mock horrified by Gremlins morbid statistics, piled atop Feldspars -- honestly! Pessimists, the whole lot. But he could show them -- no -- they all would -- because there was no scenario Diasporite liked least as much as the one where the seemingly hundreds before them, many their own, dwindled down to some splotchy few.

Especially since those numbers likely included his own potential corpse amongst them--- eugh -- the idea made him shiver more than the wind and splotch of pale *thing he was going to ignore* sweeping through the burbling sky and over the hills.

"You had best all hope at least enough of our own make it through, if only for your own sakes. I swear...everyone forgets the ride home *after* the battle--" His little spark of hope, bolstered by Rak's encouragement. It was ever so amusing to imagine Gremlin hooking it along the side of a road, cat thumb out, furless face shivering in the breeze. "Speaking of which-- I'm calling side-car with Rak and Narci!"

Could Nat's bike potentially fit three? Would he have to claw out Calaverite eyes for the privilege to claim a seat? Anything and everything was a possibility, and technically Calaverite could take his own damn self home! Same as Diesel, but Dia wasn't about to put anything past the black length of carrion pressed along Rak's side like he was trying to share a singular bloodstream with the General, the moment nearly looked 'cuddly', from a very sideways angle.

"Since we're all going to be looking after one another through this, it only makes sense to call shot-gun from now...." Dia said nigh politely, with a quick little smile, acknowledging Rakonovites sage as always advice, as though it were spoken gospel instead of a mild suggestion offered in the face of dire straits. His attention split between the random gift bag (of course from the horrid bug man in space, why always in space, why was everything horridly in space!!) while mentally jotting down Markeb and her brooding color match's wording about -- wishes? Oh, Markebs magic!

Noted, just as the bracelet was worn, and the pin pinned, and in Dia's greed he did dare to reach for more (because double the goodie bags sounded better than just the one, and he would've looked damn gorgeous in an assortment of bangles that were gold instead of silver!!) Alas -- it left him looking glittered from glove to elbow -- just -- generously jizzed upon by a makeup-grade glitter loving space-demon.

Why me!!! WHY IS IT BLUE!?

The face Dia made as he tried to wipe it off upon the grass to no avail....eww....just...so much eww...

Dark Mirror Super Sailor Loke

    post 1 2
With Remarque & Co., talking with Lacerta, grabbing a gift

As one of the Eternals moved over to him, Loke blinked, turning somewhat to look to her when she tapped his shoulder. He was still adjusting to the fact at how many people were here.... but then, Remarque was here, so it made sense the Court would, for the most part anyway, cluster. Wasn't like they all had the best of allies in the other groups around here...

Though as he realized a White Moon senshi was coming over with some... maybe he was wrong..? He'd had friends before who were White Moon, so hey...

Focusing back on Lacerta, he listened to her... oh. Supportive talk? Uplifting? He nodded his head vaguely, agreeing to her assessment on a sort of application. "Yeah uh... I might have used it before on some uh... agents," he specified as quietly as he could, "so yeah you're not wrong. Just more not sure how to use it against a giant snake but--"

The winds amped up around them, and he winced, offering his arm towards Lacerta in case she needed balance assistance. s**t, was it all breaking apart? Was that... he squinted up at the clouds. "Ah ********, somethin's movin' up there, ain't it?" His mind immediately went back to that weird corpse he and Rem had seen, his skin crawling, s**t, was it another one of those or--

...uh. What. His hand came up to catch the bag in front of him, frowning at the... Almadel? Uh. Wait what.

"Uh... anyone know who this Almadel person is..?" The pin and bracelet looked pretty cool, though... tempted as he was to put on the bracelet, he resisted a small moment.

Eternal Sailor Elsa
Action: With Muri, Aruna, Tempesti, and Daedalus; accepting his bag and putting on the bracelet and pin, encouraging the others to do so as well

“Good,” Elsa said softly. A little promise, for after this was all over. “We can…we can take a couple days after this, and then go.” It would probably be difficult, and cold, and part of Elsa was nervous about what he’d find there, but he had to go. He had to do this.

And Muri knew homeworlds, went to his own regularly—so if there were risks, on Elsa, surely he’d know how to deal with it. And…just…there was no one else that Elsa would want to go with. That was the truth of it. There was no one else he wanted to share that moment with, and he didn’t want to go alone.

Which meant they had to make it through this.

“Ah, yeah. Elsa of Emptiness, specifically.” It felt…good, to introduce himself with his new sphere. His correct sphere, the one he should have had all along. The one that people would know him by, now.

The air around them changed. Pressed down. Elsa gasped, the weight of it briefly making him stumble as the wind picked up to whip his hair.

“Is that—is this it?” Maybe that was a stupid question. It wasn’t as if anything else could do that to the weather.

But it seemed they had a little unexpected assistance.

“Oh, Almadel,” Elsa said, grinning wryly as he took the pouch in front of him. “Looks like he’s got some fun gifts for us. However he sourced these, I’m sure they’re safe,” he said. “Years back, he gave me this incredible cloak—I still have it.” Maybe he’d throw it on for his visit to his world. Certainly it would make dealing with the cold easier.

He slid on the bracer and settled the pin on his collar, and felt—well, better. A little more ready to take on what was coming. Even though it was coming very quickly.

Sailor Tyndareus, Corrupt Senshi of Tyranny
Action:
equipping the stuff, alone

Well. All of this magic s**t was entirely foreign to Tyndareus (and what a thing, having what was essentially a superhero name!). At least he had an explanation for the strange storms that had plagued Destiny City of late. He had known this wasn't exactly a pleasant place to move to, but all the crime that existed here made it a great place to disappear to after escaping his old life, before he had become Evren Visser.

Before he had become Tyndareus.

It maybe only been a week that he was capable of anything magical, but he was desperate to save the only planet humanity had, even if much of it was a shithole. It was sort of his shithole.

As the wind picked up, he remained calm, watching, waiting. The bags that suddenly drifted down mildly surprised him, and he had no idea who Almadel was, but as he looked around, he noticed mostly everyone was just... putting the stuff on. He still eyed it suspiciously, but someone that... people across all sides seemed to trust... was likely actually trustworthy. To a degree, anyway. He put the bracelet on and pinned the pin to his chest. Alright then. The berry, he eyed even more critically, before carefully putting it into his subspace. That still felt so odd. Using magic so casually like that. He couldn't decide if he liked it or not, but he couldn't deny it was certainly useful. Taking a deep breathe, he braced himself. For what, exactly, he couldn't define. But the charge in the air made it feel like something big was about to happen. He had to be alert. Be prepared.

He drifted towards Axinite, the lovely man who had shown him the world of true power. Who had coaxed him into the Chaos. He knew he would thrive here. As long as he lived, of course.

"Any last minute, life saving advice?" he asked of Axinite with a charming grin. "Quite the pickle we're in, when I'm so new to all this."

He noticed Taenite nearby and nodded his greeting.

Sailor Monoceros, Super Senshi of Porcupines
Action:
equipping the items, alone

Monoceros hated that he still felt fragile. That he wasn't ever going to go anywhere. He'd been an Eternal Senshi on the other side and gave that up, gave up Ashanite, who, as far as Monoceros had ever known, had been the only romantic partner to ever treat him right. Even now with his new friend that made his stomach flutter with butterflies. Valeska. Just thinking the name made goosebumps break out on his arms. Even so... the world felt so... Breakable. He felt breakable. But he couldn't lay down and feel fragile in bed, not when the entire Earth was at risk.

So here he was. Trying not to die. And putting on some kind of silly bracelet and pin. The bracelet did make him feel better. It must have had some kind of magical properties. At least that helped, just a little bit.

Corporal Fangnyl of the Vanguard
Action:
equipping his items

Well. The end of the world, probably, if everything went sideways. Fangnyl would do his best to make sure that didn't happen. For Earth. For Valencya.

In his heart, he wanted to go be with the Vanguard, but in practice, he was too... dead inside to want it enough to tell his legs to move over there. He felt hollowed out. He had felt like this for a very long time, but didn't know how to deal with it. He just... moved through each day like a ghost. And now... he didn't even really know how he was standing here, at this time and place, to face off against the worst creature they'd ever known, to try and kill it. But he was.

He'd sleep for weeks after this.

The bags didn't even surprise him that much. Just a simple curiosity. Carefully, he opened it, hummed a little, and took care in putting on the pin and bracelet. The berry, he wasn't sure what to do with right away, so he slipped it into his subspace.

Ready for anything, he supposed.

Transcended Eternal Sailor Daedalus
Action: with Muri, Elsa, Aruna, and Tempesti; encouraging everyone to use Almadel's gifts and putting them on himself

“It’s a pleasure to meet you both, Miss Aruna and Miss Tempesti of Harpies.” Neither name rang a bell on first thought, but that didn’t necessarily mean anything; he had been to a good number of worlds and met a good number of Senshi, and perhaps more time might jog his memory, if he had known anything of them before.

Or perhaps he simply hadn’t. It was a big galaxy, after all.

Murikabushi’s excited congratulations made him smile, warmly, and he reached up to run his thumb over the glowing markings on his cheek.

“I did. Last night. I paid a visit to my world to…resolve some things, before all of this. And it gave me a gift.” He exhaled. “I…am taking it as a sign that the universe believes in us. That my planet thinks there will be a tomorrow for me to return to it, and to keep tending it as I’ve been.”

No other option was allowable. It could not have been a goodbye, because there was going to be a next day. And a next. They would turn this thing from Earth, trap it or destroy it, and they would continue to live and fight.

Daedalus the world would live again.

The air shifted. It pressed down, powerful, threatening. But Daedalus stood strong, and when the little glittery pouch descended, he reached out to take it, pulling it towards him with a soft laugh.

’Ah, my friend,’ Daedalus thought, ’I see you’re up to some tricks.’

Beneficial ones, he hoped, as he slid on the bracelet and felt its hum through him. It felt..right. A step forward. The hum of progress. That which he guarded.

The pin went on his collar, and he ran his thumb over the gemstone.

“It seems our foe approaches,” he said. “Steel your hearts. We are not alone. And we will prevail.”

Hatsya(Sunstone) - Super Senshi of Swordplay
Roll: 39
Action: Embarrassed by her arrival, she very much wishes for someone to end her before she makes any more of a fool of her self.

Hatsya blinked, dazed, her face pressed against something warm and firm, not quite the ground she had braced herself for. It took a heartbeat longer for her to realize the obvious; she hadn’t landed on something, but rather someone.

Not just anyone, but Prehnite of all people.

Her face was nestled into his shoulder, one had braced against his chest, and worse… his arms still reflexively wrapped around her from the sudden impact as if the fall hadn’t ended. She could feel his heartbeat through her fingertips, fast pace from adrenaline much like her own.

Mortified didn’t even begin to cover it as she heard footsteps and voices nearby.

She tensed, her breath catching as she scrambled to move, but her elbow slipped on the grass and she ended up pushing herself up with awkward, jerky movement. Her coat snagged, her knee slipped, and the whole process of sitting up was neither swift nor graceful.

Of all the ways to make an entrance…

“Mátame, por favor” she muttered under her breath. She glanced at Sodalite’s offered hand but pride be damned, Hatsya couldn’t bring herself to take it.

Captain Akaganeite
Action: With Reidite and Ako; acknowledging Aquamarine's comms message and equipping bracelet and pin

Akaganeite flashed Reidite a grin of greeting, amused at his description of their shared General.

“Ah yes, how could I forget,” she said, amused. “No intent to scare, just to warn.” Aquamarine certainly wasn’t for everyone. But part of Kaga enjoyed his blunt, abrasive manner. There was never any doubt of where one stood, unless one was particularly sensitive.

“It is true, though. We’ve brought our best tonight.” She squeezed Ako’s hand, rubbing her thumb over it.

The change in the air made her tense, and though she reached out to grab the bag, she didn’t let go of Ako’s hand until she went to open it and remove the contents.

“Hm,” she said. “Almadel—an extraterrestrial trader who asked many of us to help clean anh insect infestation out of his museum last summer. Not entirely up front about his intentions, but seems money-minded, and our planet is one of the few places he can reliably trade with. I’d judge these safe,” she said, sliding on the bracelet and pinning the pin to her jacket.

And when Aquamarine’s voice came through her communicator, she frowned. She’d heard the earlier order regarding metal and weapons, of course, but she was inclined to keep her blade to hand.

“Understood,” she said into her communicator, in reply to her General. And with a direct order to stay close, she nodded to Reidite and moved towards the group around Aquamarine and Jet. It was the best course of action regardless—the more scattered they were, the more likely it was for something to go terribly wrong.

“Go find Melpomene when you can,” she told Ako, softly. “If we get separated, we’ll find each other again after the battle.”

There would, of course, be an after the battle. It was impossible for there to be anything else.

Captain Nagyagite
Action: Startled by Larimar, accepting the gift bag a little warily

Oh. Oh, ********. There was a half-youma General near him. Nagyagite wasn’t sure what to make of that; his last experience with a half-youma General had bene unpleasant as all ********, but this wasn’t Amazonite, so maybe someone less…deranged? Starseed grabby? Simply unpleasant to be around?

Who even knew. The Negaverse was….absurd. Nagyagite had liked that, once, had felt sort of liberated by feeling released from human norms and laws. After all, if Jaidev Vaswani didn’t exist, there was no way he could face any kind of penalty for anything he did. As time had worn on, though, he liked that a lot less.

And now, knowing in his heart that he was a traitor, that he wanted out? Being under scrutiny from a General felt…bad.

“Sir,” he greeted politely, if a little stiffly. He wasn’t sure what else to say—what did one say a the end of the ******** world?

(Honestly, it was a little disappointing. More Kali and Shiva, less space snakes, if you asked Nagyagite. Not that his opinions on apocalypses mattered to anyone.)

The pouch descended, and he caught it, wincing against the change in the air. He recognized the name—Almadel, the one who’d brought them all out to that museum in space—but had no idea what to make of what was in the package. He frowned at the General, turning the bracelet over in his hands.

“Sir? Any evaluation on whether these are safe?” Should they trust the weird alien?

…Did Nagyagite actually care about a strange General’s opinion? Maybe it was to his advantage to pretend he did, for a little while.

Dark Mirror Sailor Persephone
Action: Hanging with the Dark Mirror group, resolutely preparing

Persephone gave Remarque a wry little smile. She had to admit, the thought of an after-party sounded like a brilliant idea, especially if it was being funded by somebody else.

“Oh, you’re the best,” she said. “I’ll never turn down a nice dinner.” Now, they just had to survive to get it.

She gave Lacerta a nod, glad to have a fellow healer present, and took in the wider group around them; it wasn’t exactly a surprise that there weren’t a ton of Dark Mirrors present, but she found herself wishing there were more.

Still, they’d make it. They had to.

“So, hey, Remarque, about that ballista in Mirrorspace,” she said, and then she trailed off, scooping up the little gift bag. Huh. She’d heard of Almadel, but hadn’t dealt with him personally.

Seemed like they had friends in really, really weird places. But there were worse things. As long as this Almadel dude wanted to help, and if he was sending them weird, glittery little presents he probably did, she would take whatever was on offer.

The world didn’t get to end here. Her students still owed her their final projects.

Dark Mirror Super Sailor Sappho
Action: with the mirror group, asking Remarque about the gift bags

Sappho was glad that no one seemed to be paying her much attention. Usually, she loved being in the spotlight. Usually, she was big and loud, claiming as much space as she could for herself, because she wanted to be the center of attention and run the show. She was good at that, even.

But now, with all of this bearing down on her? She didn’t want to have eyes on her. Especially not when she still felt ashamed of how much trouble she’d gotten into with Angelica, and how it had meant trouble for other Dark Mirrors. Hopefully no one remembered that, because she did not want to get called to account for it.

She didn’t even really have a good answer for what had happened. But at least it was over, as far as she knew.

“Sappho of Violets,” she said, and she hated that she could barely get her voice to normal volume. “My magic’s totally useless here, sorry.” A monster from outer space wasn’t going to care how cute and innocent she was when it wanted to eat the whole planet. She wasn’t going to move it by batting her eyelashes cutely.

God, she wished she could. She wished she felt like there was anything she could do.

But instead, the sky was falling, and there were strange gifts from a stranger. Casting her eyes over the wider battlefield, she could see other people putting them on, but she turned to Remarque first.

“Are these safe?” She asked. She hadn’t dealt with Almadel, really, though she knew other people had, so she wasn’t sure what to make of all of this.

Dark Mirror Super Sailor Ariadne
Action: With the Mirror group. Accepting Remarque's offer of a better dinner and then panicking a lot.

Ariadne flushed a little, when Remarque called out her plan. Still, at least he had a better offer on the table, and she shrugged, smiling.

“Well, I won’t say no to the upgraded version,” she agreed. “A steakhouse sounds way better than pizza anyway.” And like it would probably have a selection that wouldn’t make her trainer lose her mind, and there were probably more kosher options, so really a win all around because a girl sometimes did get tired of sticking to purely cheese pizza.

So, yeah, Remarque was a genius and clearly rich enough to fund a serious afterparty, and Ariadne was more than happy to take advantage.

“Ariadne of Mourningbrides,” she introduced herself to the group. “They’re a flower, and mostly I just make people want to make me happy, which is great and all, but I don’t think a monster from beyond the stars is going to go for that, so I will simply try to punch it real good.

She could totally do that.

Her heart sank when the air changed, when the very sky began to bear down on them.

Okay so, maybe she had been a little bit in denial. Yeah, she’d given some energy to the ballista because it was there and she wanted to be a good member of the Court. Yeah, she’d turned up here following a mystery message. But she hadn’t really believed that the world could be ending. It seemed so far-fetched and ridiculous. Like something out of a story.

But here it was. Bearing down on them. A weight she couldn’t escape.

She almost missed grabbing her glittery little bag.

Captain Sodalite
Roll: 65
Action: Simply giving Hatsya & Prehnite space by investigating the little goody bag. Not at all offended by the rejected offer. Debating the wisdom of the mysterious gift giver to blindly put on strange objects. What do they do?

The fact that an offered hand wasn't accepted by Hatsya made no difference to Sodalite. The Captain merely turned to give his general a moment more consideration before simply shrugging his shoulders. If neither needed the willing assist he was offering to get them off the ground then that was fine. He instead gave the pair a moment to gather themselves after the impromptu crash and slide in order to study the skies above the growing crowd. The fact that they were holding in a truce pattern didn't exactly sit well with Sodalite but he wasn't going to ignore an order from the top of the command chain, especially not now.

The appearance of small gift bags actually managed to startle the Captain. Overall not much could still do that these days. Opening the bag, and ignoring the message that was attached via a tag did Sodalite dump the objects into his hand before pushing the pin and the berry back and forth across his open palm. "Interesting concept. I wonder if someone should be a guinea pig and actually refuse to follow instructions."

He could be the one to do just that, except, ... did he feel like dying? Not really. But there was no guarantee that the items that the pouch contained would be beneficial. For all he knew, anyone wearing their items could be abducted somehow from this time and space. The berry went back into his bag and the bag disappeared into his subspace pocket. The pin and bracelet were given one more perfunctory going over before he frowned. For now he held the items instead of following the note's instructions to a T.

Eternal Corrupt Albite
Location: With Team Faustite on the Hillside
Action: Examining the Pouch, Ready to Fight God.
Roll: 89

He smiled soft as a feather for the feel of a gentle touch, alieved more than enough to swallow down anymore filth-laden comments as his boy shed every extra bit of metal he seemed to have on. It was fun enough to watch Hestia clean them up like a Squire attending to her Knight while preparing for battle....

Only to have to hold his near gasp for the striking length of blond figure that handed the Spike over to Hestia once she was done with the first task, he'd missed near entirely the bit of bugs shift from familiar firey-ember orbs and sovereign garb, into shining platinum strands draped over green, with a hazle gaze sharp enough to skewer a heart with. He kept saying ******** *nothing* --

It was none of his business. Not when Faustite and that *thing* gave each other their backs, and he found himself having to watch Faustites hands carefully in order to catch the words and all the layered meaning twined within his boys slender fingers.

It was a lot to swallow down, all the nuance, the finality.

Faustite's words...Hestia's promise...

"Hestia's got the right of it..." He didn't use words the way she did, not with nearly as much gut-punch purity and honest to the core meaning. Everything from Hestia always sounded to him like oaths made to long-dead gods, like they were writ in awe-struck, bloodied tongues. He couldn't say it'd be an 'honor' to do anything; let alone die while stranded on some foreign plane of reality. He didn't think he was very honorable, least, not conventionally so. Not the way the word was defined in the dictionary? Loyal, though? That, sure as the sun and moon's existence. In love? Always. Until there were no more stars in the sky. The things he would do for that love and those he gave it to of his own free will and volition---

Burn a world. Fight a Snake. ******** a fire.

On different spheres of being and entire lifetimes apart. It was all so easy so long as his heart was in it. And his heart stood multiplied on a field -- next to him -- further than that -- scattered in spots around the globe -- but in the moment of *now* it was most greatly amassed right where he stood alongside his wonderful team, his bonded, his mated souls, and there was nowhere else it begged him to be.

"N'truthfully? There's no world in which...win or lose...I'm anywhere but here. With all of you." Gazing with open admiration across the group of friends and lovers scattered before him, the kind of people he was proud to follow into the unknown while wearing glitzy gifts from the kinda hoarders whose names he would never, on his life, learn to spell or say even so much as seventy-five precent correctly. N'maybe? Cherry on the snake-murdering cake, he'd get to watch his husband very sexily stab a molten-hot spike through some ancient world-eaters skull."Sides, whether we come back or not....whether we even can or not...what's it matter anyways? If we're not *here* right now -- <********> -- there might not be anyone or anything worth coming back to..."

The people who weren't there, family and loved ones alike. He couldn't help but think of Lina, and of Emmy, and--- a kaleidoscope list of all the rest, a sore little pang in his chest that was already becoming words he'd send out on the side in a short, emoji filled flurry if after everything they somehow survived. He'd hope to glimpse some skimpy-rainbowfied-buttwings, and a slick of silver-hair and fire-whirls amidst the growing chaos.

Anything was possible, right?

"So, m'doing this."

A pleasant bit of finality to his tone as he finished donning Almondjoys felt bagged goodies, before pulling his phone out on the side and starting a brief string of texts. Thinking all the while how sweet Faustite was, really. That his husband wouldn't blame anyone who was already present for either staying entirely behind, or for turning tail and running if the need stole over their bones 'n puppeted them all away to soft beds and happier shores. Albite's beloved boy had a bleeding soft spot for the team, clear n' bright as the flames burning inside him. Softer even than Albites own, at least in this moment, for there was a stanch to how much forgiveness in the face of the unknown even his heart would gush out...

There had to be consequences to these sorts of things, abandoning people selfishly in their final hour of need, and while his view on what counted as a consequence rarely ever leant towards being murderous, his soul certainly did sing beg for retribution handed out when rightfully earned.

Inside each bag are three items:
A tiny pin with a purple diamond; it is roughly the size of a dime and can be attached to any fabric material. - Attaching to Collar.
A round, purple berry that was firm to the touch and smelled sweet; it had a soft skin and was roughly the size of a cherry tomato. - Saving in Bag in Subspace.
The Negaverse might feel as if it is a strange summoning, a call to arms. -- Wearing It.

Action: Examining the Pouch, Running to find Love! Or say goodbye? Or!?
Roll: 69 (Nice~)

And of course Cyrolite heard Albite, it was impossible ******** not to, the man was goddamned loud! The translation was *terrible* Syrus could ******** feel it in his bones the second Headache -- whatever blond, not-a-hair-out-of-place person it'd stirred itself into -- twisted away to give them it's back. The words sat on his heart, sunk in his guts like rotten stones---

Because in his hands he held a glittering note, had read it thrice over in a span of a heartbeat, in a blink. He swallowed around a rising lump in his throat and tears that threatened to swell at hearing everyone else, at thinking of Nikki even as he shoved the letter into Almadels pouch, and the items onto his person, and the pouch into ******** subspace and---

There wasn't really time to think, was there?

"I'm not abandoning you, I swear, but--" But he needed to go, and maybe he'd be right back, and maybe he'd meet them there wherever they were all going all at once and what felt like ******** soon if the ominous sky was anying to go on!? But--- if he was going to *stay* and to *stay and fight* -- and to end up on another plane of existence where he might never see *anyone else ever again* ---

"Make him summon me if s**t goes south---" Hissed at Mira, he ******** meant it, if it could even be done!? But he said it, meant it, made hasty amends before he made a swift exit at the back of the pack, he didn't look at the overwhelming crowds of mixed faction's and mixed faces, or the Earth Clad Knight at Nikkis side -- he didn't stop himself -- before slamming into pink ruffles, purple frills, not thinking of anything more as he dragged her into his arms and hoped she hugged him back just as tightly.

He wanted to *snarl* for how Fulgurite *still* wasn't ******** there with them!

*Coward, coward, b*****d coward!!*

A knife to the heart would've been kinder---

But maybe Nikki's warmth would gentle the invisible blow.

Mira didn't say anything as Cryolite fled the scene. As Albite and the others said their pieces, they weren't her team, per-say. She was just tagging along with the Himbo who'd brought her unwittingly along, bedazzled skirts n all. Truthfully? She was perfectly peachy with all of it. Everything falling into the slot it should've, and? Bonus to blessings!! She was gonna look damn good all glammed up in some nameless demons sparkly trinkets~

Honestly? This is a much better 'thank you' than some ******** bug skins and a come-any-time card! Almadel should've *led* with this!

Her one regret was that she hadn't texted the legendary Todd back in a hot second, but who knew? Post apocalyptic hookups were supposed to be the best kind--
