Hobbies: Basketball - If there is one sports hobby that Ken enjoys more than anything else it would be basketball. He started on an intramural team when he was in high school and grew to appreciate the rules of the sport. His height really helped him out on the court. Whether he's shooting hoops solo at a local court or playing a game of twenty-one, Ken likes to have the feel of a basketball in his hands.
Poetry - To write good poetry one needs to have inspiration. Ken finds that inspiration no matter where he is. He is his own worst critic though. The view he has on his work keeps him from publishing or even sharing his work. However he has a portfolio in which all his poems are saved. Poetry has a way of soothing the nerves and it is a lot easier than writing a novella. Ken always likes to hear work by others and will often go to open mic nights just to enjoy the ambience.
Chess - Who doesn't love a good game of strategy? Chess is a game that requires a strategist mindset. To outsmart an opponent takes a finesse that beginners just don't have. Ken started playing chess at a young age but he knows that he doesn't have the skill to go against champions. However that doesn't stop the young man from seeking out opponents to play around Destiny City.
Virtues: Imaginative: From creating poems that could flow off one's tongue to maybe thinking up a new move on the courts or even on a chessboard, Ken's mind is sometimes like a massive whirlwind where ideas can be dreamed up and just as easily discarded like trash. He jots down ideas that he thinks will work and ignores those that sound like complete failures. These ideas can drop out of the blue and sometimes not at the most opportunistic times either.
Perseverance: Where people might give up after experiencing failure Ken believes that there is nothing lost with attempting to try again until one succeeds at a task. It might take Ken one try or even one hundred tries to do something but once he's persevered over said task he's flushed with success. It can be something as attempting to do home repairs or something like a do it yourself model kit. Or even learning a new skill at basketball or poetry. Ken will push himself to master any step that gives him trouble until he can say that he's conquered the obstacle.
Punctual: When Ken gives his word that he'll be somewhere at a certain time you'd better believe it. Ken doesn't trust his phone calendar app though to remind him of appointments or places that he needs to be. He trusts the old pen and paper method and has a little day planner that he jots down everything on. He prides himself on being able to say that he is always on time.
Flaws:Impatient: Ken doesn't like to have to wait around. Keep him waiting and you'll more than likely get an earful about how you were supposed to be there ten minutes ago. Ken is punctual to a tee and expects that everyone else should be. Sadly he can't control the lives of other people (not for a lack of trying). He can't seem to see why others can't emulate his ability to be on time.
Stubborn: Tying into his Perseverance trait Ken refuses to back down from a challenge that presents itself to him. It can be any sort of idea/project/suggestion and still Kenneth will not back down from completing the challenge. His stubbornness to succeed at things causes Ken to suffer physically and emotionally at times if he gets too wrapped up in what he is trying to finish.
Blunt: Whether it's speaking to total strangers or even those that he knows fairly well; it is more often than not that Kenneth can run afoul of being too blunt. He doesn't mince his words when someone is late. Even on a day when he's perfectly content, Kenneth can cause others to have ruffled feathers. It's just how he is though. A leopard can't change its spots and Ken can't change the way he speaks.
