BDSM and SM are not one bit about being involved with an abusive partner.
It's simulated abuse. It doesn't matter if it's consensual.
Yes, it does matter if it's consensual. If the sex wasn't then it would be abuse. If those who engage in bdsm all consent then it's not abuse.
Just like if all people parties in a ritual killing consent it's not murder?
That's a terrible analogy.
If people get their rocks off of the idea of being whipped, spanked, being gagged, being told to sit on thumb tacks and grind their butts into the ground, it's not abuse if they like it and it's not stimulated abuse either. If the people involved are all in agreeance, all know each others limits, are in a safe place and in a controlled environment, it's not abuse. Just like regular, non kink, non fetish sex.
And yes, it is murder just encase you don't understand the difference. Unless we're talking about a person and not an animal. If the person consents to be the sacrifice and wants to die, then it's not murder. It's an aided death.
