So I went to my friends house today and watched some people play the Wii, joked around, saw an awesome collection of weapons ( stare Lucky punks), and cashed in my good deeds. Suffice to say my day went pretty well. 3nodding Of course that wouldn't make sense if my title is supposed to point at a sadder sort of day.

My friend, whose house I'm always at called us and told us she almost hit a dog and was bringing it back with her, so we met up back at her house. It was female pit bull, malnourished, beaten, aching for love. It was a total sweet heart, curious, friendly... it was a good dog. Either she got lost.. or she was left somewhere... but other animals had had their try on her and it was evident. All the kids had felt sorry for her and wanted to care for her and all.. We cleaned her and introduced her to the parents who were playing majong. But the looks on their faces depicted nothing near the slightest hint of sympathy... My friends mom had that look saying, "Get the mangy thing out of here.." It was obvious the stray wasn't welcome. Even more obvious she couldn't stand it even being in the house. It's horrible having to turn down a beaten face. My friend even looked a bit teary eyed.

To a simple animal who seemed pure and upbeat despite its condition... I couldn't understand how anyone could be so cold. Then I tried to talk to my friend and she replied, "My mom is set on her ways. Can't do anything about it." It saddened me a bit.. brought down my day. It was rejected... again. I can't explain the slight feeling of ironic bitterness in the situation. How they had casted such judgment on her... just because it wasn't loved well. It's a bad cycle.. not to get love just because there was none to begin with...It's cold.

I don't know. LOL, It's pretty emo of me to be talking like this... but it really is a shame to know strays are in a way.. condemned to the streets.
