Main Ingredient(s): T-rex arm bone
Original Spell: To bring a raptor statue to life(golem).
What went wrong: The creator used the armbone of a Tyrannosaurus Rex instead.
Also, the summoning symbol used to bring the statue to life did not correspond with the main ingredient used.
Full Story:
It all began with the seemingly innocent phrase of words by a stranger - 'there's life in them; and they do seem ever ready to jump into life' - to have started one man's obsession with the attempt to bring his sculptures to life, literally. After closing down his workshop and selling all but his favourite sculpture, Gaverin Tesser embarked on a journey to learn the very art that would change his life forever.
It took the man a total of ten years - of searching, then begging to be accepted as apprentice and finally learning itself. Some called it witchcraft, some called it the Devil's craft. Many, with their small little minds, condemned it greatly so Gaverin learnt, and mastered, in secret.
Now, finally, the man felt he was ready to install life into his one remaining sculpture so carefully preserved over the years. Taking off the protective casing he observed and scrutinized every inch of the fearsome beast, checking for imperfections and, noting with a touch of pride, none to be found. Nodding his satisfaction, he made his way towards a table, where a couple of ingredients await their turn in the night's ceremony.
Gaverin let his finger pass over a small piece of bone. A smile crept slowly across his face and he took, fingering the fragile fossil gently. The next two items on the table were two small bags, each holding a different content. The first contained an odourless, finely powdered eagle talons. A pungent odour wafted from the second, and Gaverin knew by this, he had to handle its contents with great care - lest he would end up a dead man on the spot.
All three items were taken and placed in Gaverins pockets, and the man proceeded to make a slight alteration to his sculpture.
The man winced, having made a slight cut on his right thumb. Blood oozed out from a small slit, and he pressed his thumb to the forehead of the raptor sculture. His hand moved swiftly, without any apparent effort, and smeared a soul-summoning inscription in deep red, right on the forehead, between two lifeless reptilian eyes. Then, without taking his eyes off it, the man fished out the bag of powdered eagle talons and smeared it onto the sculture's forehead to complete the symbol.
Immediately Gaverin lowered himself to the ground and drew a circle around the sculpture with the same powder. After that, a small classic pentagram was drawn in front of it. The remaining of the powder was emptied into the heart of the pentagram, forming a small mount. He then pocketed the bag of eagle talons, and fished out the small piece of ancient bone and pressed it into the white mount, carefully alligning on end of it with the tip of the star. Still couching, the man reopened the wound on his thumb with his teeth, and let five drops of blood onto the bone. A brief incantation was said as he did so, and he noted with pleasure the talon powders glowing slightly.
Standing up, he wiped his thumb on his trousers. He took out from his other pocket, what must be the most dangerous item so far - a bag of dried, powdered dragons blood. An item so powerful, it was illegal. Holding it out above the bloodied bone, Gaverin tipped the bag and let some of the foul-smelling, reddish brown powder onto the bone. Instantly a fizzing sound could be heard emanating from it, and a wisp of greenish smoke emerged from the middle of the blood smeared bone - all the while the man was muttering an incantation.
His eyes never straying from the pentagram, Gaverin took a step back. Dipping his hand into the small bag he took out a handful of dragon's blood, and tossed it into the air above the sculture in front of him. Immediately a strong green light surrounded the statue, giving it an eerie, sinister look. the man thought he caught a glimpse of the sculpture blinking briefly at him, but the next moment a huge, high pitched screech erupted from it, followed by a loud blast. The shockwave from the blast picked the man up from the floor and threw him just as easily to the other side of the room.
Luckily for Gaverin he was thrown right in the direction of a sack of gryphon feathers, preventing him from being knocked unconscious. As he tried to right his position Gaverin found himself staring in horror at where the statue was supposed to be. A reddish green cloud of smoke enveloped the sculpture, and it swirled to form a miniature twister, all the while glowing with an eerie green light. The bone was swept up into it, and as the cloud continued on its swirling, it's light became gradually brighter until it reached a point where one had to shield one's eyes from it or risk losing one's sight.
A thundering roar suddenly filled the room, and the flabbergasted man on the floor found he could open his eyes again. Looking around, the man found, to his shock and surprise, everything to be exactly in order, as if a twister had never brewed before. Remembering the sculpture he rushed towards the middle of the room, where a greenish fog hung, concealing what was within it from view. Coughing, choking a little on the sharp-smelling fog, the man waved it away just to find... nothing.
"What the..."
Just then he felt his foot hitting something - something which let out a low pitched squeal, followed by the unmistakable wail of a baby. Automatically his gaze dropped to his foot, and to his shock a baby was on the floor crying, with its face screwed up in the most unpleasant manner. The awful man had stepped on its tail. Wait... TAIL?! Gaverin removed his foot and lowered himself into a crouch. His eyes widened as he caught sight of the horror before him.
Gaverin reached out and gathered the... creature, still wailing and very much hurt, in his arms. He gave it another disbelieving look, and slowly hushed it to sleep. Amazing.
And then his mind got slowly back into action as the shock began to subside. He had read about 'accidental creations' like his somewhere and knew then, what he had just created. The right thing to do then was, of course, finding the appropraite agency dealing with such creatures - unfortunately he had forgotten, quite, where it was. Except the fact that it was located somewhere, in a world known as Gaia.
Carefully so as not to wake the little thing up, Gaverin summoned up a portal with his free hand, and tuned it to the proper world. It didn't take long for him to find it - Gaia was such a magical place with its own unique magical wave - in no time at all he was whipped off towards it.
Next came the search for the agency. Sure it would take some time, but it shall be done.

About Rexier Gaver & KingRexier's love for basketball drives him to doing practices every single day, thus the child has developed significantly in terms of agility and stamina. Besides that, slight muscles can already be seen on the boy, due to daily workouts.
Easy-going, courteous and well-behaved, Rex never does and never will do things to hurt the people around him. Ever eager to please, the boy will do all he can to make others happy, even at the expense of his own happiness.
If there is one thing King loves more than anything, it's food. The four lettered word never fails to be on his mind, and whenever Rex goes, if there is food around, all will be well. he doesn't like vegetables though, for obvious reasons.
King really values personal space, so it is highly adviseable everyone steer clear of him, unless they have personally been accepted by King. Note that although food is a good bribe item, it doesn't always work...
Despite being a tyrannosaurus rex, King is a real dear deep inside, almost puppylike even. He is amazingly gentle to those whom he hold dear to his heart, and his loyalty to said persons is unmatched. He is as intelligent as anyone, and knows magic. No, it's not a joke.

Zarrol was found as a bone by King, though from where nobody knows. Now he resides with Rex and Silencer in their little HQ residence as an oversized guard dog of sorts :3
As for Kineath, the pretty female was adopted as a companion (and mate, hopefully?) for Zarrol. The blue and yellow cerexi is extremely dedicated and caring, despite her flirtatious behaviour ;D
