Main Ingredient(s): Skirt and snake eggs Original Spell: To create a charm to be cast upon cloth, skin or armor that protects the wearer from poisons/venom. What went wrong: The so-called "Witch" casting the spell was a beginner who didn't know what she was doing + attempted throwing together the charm by herself, and without any experience or true knowledge of what she was doing.
Full Story: Her only plan and purpose in life was to get rich quick or die trying. She was too impatient to actually stop and work hard and long at something that would slowly bring her success, and too lazy to be more careful at any of her make-millions schemes.
At this very moment, on this bright and sunny day, the witch sat at her working desk...an old, rusted, burnt and duck-taped thing...the only thing she bothered to purchase, since everything else was just too expensive. Loads of books, make-money-now books, only half-read, lay around and about her, bookmarked, circled and highlighted. A bandaged hand pointed at a circled sentence, and the witch scribbled quickly and sloppily on a piece of chalkboard in front of her.
"This is it, Mala! This one is sure not to fail!" She cackled at her rat, which whom was her first half-success at a spell...she had...sorta...revived him from death, though that huge tumor he held was her mistake.
Her newest work was quite different. She had gotten the inspiration to make a charm to be weaved into cloth, skin or armor to protect against venomous bites when a winged snake had bitten her hand just the other day, and she suffered through quite a recovery.
"There are tons of people afraid of snakes and poison!" She cackled again, starting to pull out her equipment for the spell. "It'll all sell easily!" A cauldron, elderberry juice, sap from a yew, a small piece of metal for armor, and a vial of snake eggs she had recently purchased. "I'm missing something...Ah!"
She quickly stood, and ran from the room, coming back with a small knife, and an old skirt. It was worn down, and pretty dirty; she hadn't worn it in years, and figured it would be good enough as the cloth. She lay them on her desk and went back to the book. Her eyes narrowed, and she tapped the page with a long, cracked nail.
"YARGH!" She screeched, furious, and sent the book flying, soon followed by the rest of them. "Useless! I don't understand at all! How am I supposed to make it quickly when I have to wait a month!" She paused, hands raised high above her head, then lowered them to her chin, thinking.
"I'm sure there's no true point to waiting. It'll still be the same...all of it is the same. Just newer. Might even enhance the power...yessss..." She turned back to her desk and tossed her chalkboard aside.
Lighting a fire underneath the cauldron, the witch began to throw whatever she thought, or brought herself to think, would be useful. The elderberry juice would be for driving out the 'evils' of venom...yew sap for spell enhancement, metal to substitute armor, and snake eggs...for those evil, disgusting, crawly, biting things. Thinking quickly, she grabbed the knife and then brought it to her arm, scraping off, or, she meant to scrape off, a piece of her skin. A larger-than-what-she-meant chunk was thrown into the bubbling, steaming pot as she ran to get bandages.
Coming back, face red, eyes a bit puffy and bunches and bunches of bandages wrapped around her injured arm, the witch picked up her Mala, returning to her 'work.' Looking into the cauldron, the witch realized that...somehow...everything that had been mixed together had turned into a brown sludge.
"That's...odd, yes, Mala? Maybe it means it's working." She giggled in a way no witch such as herself should. "Ah, yes, I almost forgot the skirt..."
It was at this time...at this moment, as the witch and her rat dropped the skirt into the pot of boiling, bubbling and wiggling sludge, that one drop of blood too many sneaked through her wrappings, and fell in with the skirt.
In a loud bang, and with a colorful explosion, the strange mixture in the cauldron exploded and sent everything flying...including the witch and her rat...and the chair, and the books, and the rug...
Smoke cleared after some time, and, coughing, the witch struggled to stand up. She quickly checked her baby...her Mala...she was ok...but not awake. It'd be fine. She turned back to where the cauldron was. It still sat there. It seemed as if it hadn't even moved.
"Hisssss..." The witch took a step back, startled. That noise...! The head of a tiny snake emerged from the side of the black pot. It's tongue...flickering...in...out...in...out...
"No! It hatched...?" She stopped...another snake. "They all hatched?! ARGH!" She kicked a remainder of what had been of her chair hard, and sent it flying. It hit the cauldron with a loud CLANG!
Then there was crying..."WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
"...eh?" The witch threw herself towards the noise, and glanced in...
A baby. With baby snakes. Growing from her tummy.
"..." the witch sank to the floor. "Failed again...feh."

Personality- Shavira is turning out to be extremely friendly to all others she meets, caring, and being a very happy girl in general. Since she's been walking and talking, one is now able to tell that Shavira can also be a bit clumsy and even a bit greedy here and there, but most of the time she worries about others before herself. She's very bouncy, and can change her mood, topic of speech, or whatever she may have been doing in seconds with ease. We also recently learned that Shavira is shy when it comes to being in large crowds. Who would've guessed? ...

Put simply, KiiMeLwi is optimistic. Very...optimistic. One once said that she must either be very, very crazy or just very, very lucky to think life is *that* good. Despite her seemingly outgoing and bounciful attitude, Kii keeps much to herself. She avoids subjects dealing with her past when she can, often claiming she doesn't know what she is, or where she came from, sometimes even saying she doesn't remember.
KiiMeLwi is also very generous, sometimes buying her close friends many, many gifts. We don't know if she's insecure, or likes to shop. A lot. Either way, her generosity extends past the giving of gifts. Whenever she makes a friend, Kii is always ready to offer her ear. Or both, really. She always wants to help people, and has often promised to do anything she can in order to erase a frown and slap on a smile. ...

August 6, 2005- KiiMeLwi burst back into her room with Shavira, who had already begun wailing. It was time for food, change, then nap. Kii and her Mishap had quickly began a schedule for the events of every single day. If Kii didn't follow them, Shavira would get QUITE upset...like now. If Shavira didn't agree with the plan...well, Kii'd have to adapt.
KiiMeLwi sat her babe down in her chair, and Shavira stopped wailing. She sat quietly, and even her snakes just wiggled about without much arguement. Preparing a bowl of very mushed cereal, KiiMeLwi thought about her day.
She had woken up very early that morn, to Shavira's quiet wailing. She then spent the rest of her day, walking around, exploring, and taking care of Shavira whenever she was awake. It seems Shavira liked sleeping in the DAY more than NIGHT, but Kii figured it was just a baby thing. Anywho, just before returning to her room, Kii remembered the two...no, three, she had met.
She had thrown herself into the Toyroom, since Shavira had woken and was starved, and without knowing it, stumbled upon a lama-man named Tori, and a Mishap-less lady named Azumi. Tori had looked quite tired...he held a Mishap named Wycliff in his arms...Shavira did stare at this other magical mistake for quite some time...until KiiMeLwi realized what time it was...here they are now...
KiiMeLwi glanced at her child, and smiled. Shavira was trying to share her food with her snakes...who of course, didn't want any. Taking Shavira's arm, KiiMeLwi, looking quite tired, began to feed and think of her babe.
Shavira was a surprisingly quiet baby. She had seen some other Mishaps...most at a distance, and even other BABIEs, and they were always loud. Shavira was a VERY curious babe...who would only wail for short periods of time when unhappy...and not very loudly either...the only time Shavira REALLY wanted something was this afternoon rutine...nonetheless, she was very difficult to care for...she woke up at all times during the night, and slept often during the day. Kii barely got any chances to sleep anymore...
SMACK! Kii soon found herself covered in cereal. Lovely. She hadn't been paying attention...and Shavira wasn't happy about it. Ah well. It'll be worth it.
...Right?

August 9, 2005- KiiMeLwi sat with a "fump" and a sigh. Shavira had FINALLY gone to sleep...and it took a lot of cuddling, warm milk, and an off key song. Kii hoped that Shavi wouldn't wake for a while...she REALLY needed to sleep...Speaking of which...
KiiMeLwi quickly covered a large yawn, and humed to herself softly. She heard Shavira shift in her sleep and snapped her head around to look at her. She wasn't waking. Good.
Kii lay her head back and began to relax. Her mind whirred...she thought of the days events. She had met Jabir...the oldest Mishap...the one who had taken care of Shavira before she had come to adopt her. She had also met a guardian named Crow...and her Mishap, Lenore...a babe with knife wings. Oh, and there was Jizzy who had chased after her child Deimos. Shavira and Deimos had stared at one another for a short period of time...
What else...OH! The note Jabir gave her! KiiMeLwi searched a pocket and pulled out a small scrap of paper. note Sybil's Infirmary Notes: - Snakes aren't poisonous. They have sharp little teeth though - Hard to change diapers due to snake activity KiiMeLwi read it over again...she knew it all by now, of course, but it was kind of Jabir to give it to her...she stuffed it back into her pocket, and sighed. How difficult it must have been for him to take care of all these Mishaps...he was such a kind hearted soul...
And with that thought, KiiMeLwi drifted off to sleep...
