Main Ingredient(s): Crocodile tooth and feathers Original Spell: To create a bird familiar to perform a few small tasks What went wrong: Mistaken the bird talon claws bottle with the crocodile teeth one
Full Story: I am not a lazy person by any means. I just happen to have a very tall fridge. In all my virtues, I am a short wizard. For some reason, however, my OJ is always stocked on the top shelf of the refrigerator. After agonizing months of going without my favorite breakfast juice, I decided to create a bird that would fetch OJ from the exceptionally high shelf of fridge. That very night, I headed towards my lab.
Earlier that evening, I had spotted a large oddly colored beetle paused in sinister contemplation just in front of a laboratory cabinet. With a smirk of satisfaction, I hurried over and used all the weight in my left foot to squish the imposter. It made a sound suspiciously like breaking glass, and I had trouble finding my glasses afterward.
Not one to let one small setback keep me from completing my task, I decided to continue without my glasses. Squinting, I picked out of bottle of Crocus Bird Talons (it wasn’t until afterwards I discovered the words CROCODILE TEETH scrawled across the label) from my collection of bottled animal parts and gingerly turned it over to read any notes on the back:
ATTENTION Combine with two cups oatmeal for every one cup teeth. Failure to do so will result in excess crocodile oils seeping into concoction: may cause deformity and other unknown side-affects.
The words were a bit blurry without my glasses, but it didn’t seem to me that there could be too much harm in a handful of old bird claws, so I scooped out of handful and threw it into the mix. Nothing exploded, so I took it as a win. The feathers were next. I had collected a brightly colored array for my bird, so it could never escape me, even without my glasses. The rest of the ingredients were added but not all together important, mostly fluff and everlasting life.
And it was because I followed the directions so meticulously that the end result confused me so. For it was not a bird I was left with when the dust had settled.

All About Tamary Zuleika! P.r.o.f.i.l.e.Given name: Tamary Zuleika (Zoo-leh-kuh) Nickname: Tama! Will only tell people she is particularly fond of to call her "Zuleika" Likes: baths, rain, toys, cherries, vegetables, bacon, books, flowers!, warm weather, spring, summer, trees, pinecones, birds, fish, reptiles Dislikes: swings or things that swing, candy, ham, fruit, slimey things, sour things, cold weather or being cold, winter Voice Although Tamary is almost constantly making noises and shrills, she doesn't attempted much in the way of real words unless she must because she finds them awkward. She has an entire language of shrill speak which she will tend to lapse into most often. This has influenced her reguarl speech to some degree, many of her words being high pitched or bordering between the two languages. Thus far, she has only discovered King to understand her language. Clothing: Tamary sometimes wears the stiff-collard Sinbad shirt and harem pants that Pink bought her. However, she is usually inclinded to wearing gaucho pants and long sleeve t-shirts in neutral colors and sometimes with plants or floral patterns in the summer and spring. In the winter she wears heavy clothes/sweaters/sweatshirts, as she gets cold easily.
P.e.r.s.o.n.a.l.i.t.y.
Age Baby Her favorite thing to do is chew on everything and anything she can, including pets, people, and other Mishaps. Though she is occationally scolded, she never gets much of a talking to and therefore has hardly learned the word "no". Despite some over-nurturing by Pink, tolerance has yet to make her spoiled, forunately. She's never thrown a tantrum or been one to complain about something unless it really doesn't sit well with her.
Age: Toddler A growing toddler, Tamary still has an affinity for sticking things in her mouth and working them over with her teeth. Increasingly she uses her chewing habit to dispose of things she does not like, as opposed to chewing things at random. At night and when he is out of eyesight, Tamary has also learned to climb out of bed and attempt to chew through the bars of her crib, so that she might have more freedom when Pink doesn't want her to have it.
Zuleika is strong and adventurous for her age. Incredibly curious, particularly when outdoors, she often gets herself into situations of getting small bumps and bruises yet does not often cry. Her attention, even at this young age, seems to be intend on the outdoors, including flowers, plants, and anything related to them. She greatly enjoys spending a good deal of time in the garden and play area outside in the summer and spring, when the grass is at it's greenest. She is almost always willing to try something once: foods, toys, people, and places.
Her other greatest interest is in birds and reptiles. Noticing how some birds had similar colors and all had feathers like herself, her interest in birds was perked. The same was true, if even to a greater extend, with reptiles. Any sort of reptile, even if it does not look much like her, causes a flurry of excitement from the little Mishap.
As she grows, Tamary seeks a good deal of approval from Pink. Every new discovery, after being thoroughly examined, is shown to him with bright-eyed expectation. The Croc Mishap Showing signs of intelligence, learning to watch Pink and study his behavior, sometimes mimicing him in small ways. Her interest in book, having them read to her remains steady, though it is obvious she craves to understand the words herself.

The Nibbled FewThose that Tamary has shown a liking for. Rexier Gaver/King Tamary liked Rexier well enough, but she adored King the first moment she saw him. At first she was drawn to him and King because of their remarkable resemblance to a reptile. However, once she discovered that Rex could make plants grow and King could speak in shrill, her liking of them went over to hero-worship. She is particularly attached to King. Tam Says: The boy was nice... but I like the 'rilian! He's like me. He let me touch his scales.
Malachi After a brief interaction with the vampiric squirrel as a toddler, Zuleika liked Malachi very much. He had a soft fluffy tail and let her play with his toys and furr! What could be better?! Unfortunately, it has been a long time since she has interacted with him. Tam Says: He's got lots of fluffy soft white stuff attached to him that taste good.

Unfortunate FiendsThose that Tamary does NOT like or get along with. The lucky ones get away with their skin intact.
Cato Cato didn't make the best first impression with Zuleika, so she is not very fond of him. Tam Says: He tugged out one of my feathers! I dun like him, he's mean.
