Name: Cadentau Panthereon Wolfe
Nickname: Caden
Name Meaning: Caden means "fighter" in a language that Cry can't remember. D-Corp gave him this name in hopes that he would show his lion's strength in combat. Tau is "Lion" in an African language. This part of his name is self-explanitory. Panthereon means "Lion Hunter" in Greek, and is also the name of the Roman soldier speculated to be the biological father of Jesus.

Personality: Caden has grown extremely agressive as of late. He has a territoriality complex to the maximum and he isn't afraid to use his claws. He will fight, he will definatly fight if given reason and he will bite and claw and beat down whatever he's fighting until either it or he is dead. Or so he'd like to think, most of the time, someone intervenes. Otherwise, he's still just very lazy, but very prideful. The easiest way to get him to do something is to insult him. He has also become excessively jealous, especially over his mother.

Cadentau has developed a strong sense of what is 'his group' and what isn't. With this pride mentality, he extends a strict territoriality over all persons considered 'his' and will defend them from perceived threats for all he's worth.

Name: Violet Cesar Wolfe
Nickname: Wolfie
Name Meaning: When the character of Wolfie was first created, I had a really tough time deciding on her gender (the original Wolfie fits into a novel plotline involving non-D-Corp related things), so it was important to have an ambigious-ish name. Conviniently, it also sounds like "violent seizer wolf".

ICly, Violet's father's family has a tradition of becoming Rangers, raising falcons, and all being named after birds. Her two brothers are named Astor and Raven, and her father's name is Bran. Her name was going to be Robin, but her mother, a shrewd bussiness woman, convinced her father to let her raise Violet, their only daughter. Thus, she got named after a flower. Her common nickname, Wolfie, derives from her last name and the reputation of her older brothers, who attended the same school, as well as the Wolf Trax jacket she wore almost constantly at that age.

Age: Early 30's
Birthday: March 23
DNA: She's completely human.

Personality: Unlike Caden, Wolfie doesn't know the meaning of "lazy". To her, free time is time devoted to either Cadentau or her rats. Her job keeps her extremely busy, and can be more than just a little stressful, but she bears it all with a smile and the promise that whatever sacrifices she has to make, she will get everything done and there will be time for the priorities in life, such as Caden. She is fairly good at masking her thoughts behind a polite smile, but her tone of voice can betray everything to an experianced listener. Most of the time, she is very polite, but she can be very strict about rules and will get snappy if someone isn't following orders. She has an unending supply of patience, but she's perceptive enough to know when patience just won't cut it.

Likes: Working, Looking at Photographs, Reading over old cases, lab rats

Dislikes: Having nothing to do, people who don't obey orders.

Mentality: Wolfie is a certified Clinical Psychologist, so she tends to analyze people very carefully. If she wants to be, she can be even more manipulative than Cadentau, and much more sucessfully so. However, although she has a driving dedication to both her work and her son, she's pretty happy where she is. After all, life would be too boring without a bit of trouble now and then.

History: Wolfie has a rather unstable family. Well, not so much unstable as un-normal. Until Ray, the oldest child, turned 14, all was well. They lived on a middle-of-nowhere plot of forest land with the rest of the family and their very own private aviary. Most of the Wolfes are Rangers, so they are usually out and about on duty, and a good many of them belong to the Avian Units of their areas. However, they also have a tradition of attending the same academy, which is in the middle of a city. So usually, when the children get to that age, they are sent off to boarding school. Bran's wife had other ideas. When it was time for Ray to start, she moved the entire family into the city. Of course, Bran couldn't come with them, and raising three children can be very stressful, Iris became rather harsh. Over time, the harshness grew into full blown tempermental abuse.

By the time it started, Raven was already old enough to recognize the situation and take charge. He responded almost neutrally, and always acted as the mature adult in the household, being firm but not abrasive with their mother, and taking care of the household while she managed her bussiness. However, Astor was 12, right at the burgeoning age of rebellion. He reacted to the abuse by being equally agressive, especially after Raven graduated and left home. He and his mother often fought and became physically violent, although when it came down to the draw, he could never really hurt her, so it was always him that suffered. He just barely managed to graduate, and left home as soon as he could, and hasn't called back since. He goes by his middle name Seth, and refers to himself as belonging to the element of destruction, as well as detesting most other human beings. Thanks to his birds, he hasn't been arrested yet, although he has been recomended to mental institutions and receives private counseling from Violet.

When they moved, Violet was only 8. She didn't start at the academy until Astor had already graduated, and thus had to endure more of their mother's wrath than her two siblings. She has responded by simply adapting, and doesn't really harbor any ill will towards her mother. However, Violet was impossible to anger, had no sense of pride or self-worth, conceded at the very begining of every argument, and tended to be frighteningly emotionless. She also developed a high tolerence for physical pain, although she was never actively self-destructive. Violet had a well developed emotional sense because of the bond she shared with her brothers, especially Raven, who often confided in her when things got too tough for him to handle. At one point, she was her mother's favorite, but soon fell out of favor when there were no other targets available. Left to fend on her own, she started looking into psychology books and began to fix herself, eventually managing to create a persona that was drawn from her personality rather than her many survival mechanisms. After one year at the academy, she met a foreign student with some problems of his own, and started fixing him too, and they graduated and there was a happily ever after ending, except that they went their separate ways for grad school, and still keep in touch. They're going to marry someday. They just haven't gotten around to it yet.

OC Notes: Wolfie's name was taken from Shakespear's Twelfth Night, as a combination of the two names of Lady Viola and her male alias, Cesario. Her birthdate is a compliation of the publication date of Twelfth Night, 1623.

Another name for her was going to be Vasilik/Vasiliki, which means "basil" and is taken from one of my favorite stories in which the wife of a minstrel/knight dresses up as a man and pretends to be an emissionary from an enemy kingdom and defeats the kings men at chess, shooting, and wrestling in order to win back her husband as a "gift" for the Khan of Silver Hoards in place of thirty thousand gold rings. And the whole reason her husband was locked up in the first place was because he boasted that Vasiliki was a greater treasure than his king posessed, with her sharp wit, sable hair and "eye as bright as a falcon's".

Favorite OC Wolfie Line: "Yeah, so Dad's name is "eagle", and my brothers are "raven" and "hawk", and my uncle is "eagle tree", and grandma is "owl", and there's cousin "birdwing" and "eaglewing" and "birdsong", and other uncle "falcon". And then there's me. I get named after a plant."

Wolfie's Apartment
She had help with the decorating. That much is obvious. But hey, at least it is decorated, and pretty aesthetically pleasing. Most furniture is a nice light golden oakwood, and everything else is in shades of warm green and brown. It is a fairly small space, but comfortable for just the three of them and has all the nessesary amenities like vinyl floors in the kitchen, a spacious storage closet, a refridgerator, washing machine, and dryer, electric stove, and last but not least a microwave. There is a rather large collection of clocks dispersed throughout the household, usually paired with a little display of photographs and other intrinsic paraphenalia in little displays. There is one visible almost anywhere you look, so loosing track of time is never a valid excuse.

The kitchen is separated from the living space by a wide counter/table, on the other side of which is the food preparation area. Cupboards and other organizational equipment line the walls and everything has it's proper place.

A corner of the place has been sectioned off with a large bookshelf, for Wofie's desk, her many boxes of files, and a completely second desk and shelving unit that would be gathering dust if it wasn't cleaned every week.

Caden's Room
Compared to the rest of the house, messy. Caden has been taught how to organize. Whether or not he does is up to him, but he has the warning that if he loses anything, he had better find it himself because it's not going to be replaced. A bed piled high with thick blankets and soft plushies sits against the wall unmade and the floor is strewn with other playthings and cushions, so that the colorful rugs are hardly visible. The only things that seem unused are the desk and chair. A bean-bag chair and another pile of blankets has been dragged into a space near the window, where the sunlight hits each afternoon.

The Rat Room/Wolfie's Room
Wolfie's room is neat, neat, and painstakingly neat just out of habit. Its not that she really likes neatness, she just doesn't have enough time to acomadate anything less efficient. On one side of the room is her bed and a very organized chest of drawers that doubles as a table. The adjacent wall is covered in notices and sheduales and she has an organized shelf of binders full of numbers and other information that doesn't relate to her work. On the other side of the room is a workbench and cages of white labrats in various stages of training, as well as all supplies and setups needed for the maintenaince and education of said rats.

Caden actually feels pretty neutral about her, although he does love her on some instinctual level. She provides things and gives orders, and is really hard to manipulate. that's about it.

Dominique Morphee - Stepfather :: Utter hatred is the only thing that can describe one side of their relationship. Nick sincerely wishes that Caden and he could get along better but Caden loathes him and would sooner rip him into little pieces than accept any attempt at friendship.

Bran and Iris Wolfe - Grandparents :: Wolfie's parents, obviously.
Gramma and Grampa are odd people, but they're nice. Gramma can be really weird, but for the most part, they spoil Caden and that's fine with him.

Raven Wolfe - Uncle :: Wolfie's oldest brother
Like the rest of the family, he's a Ranger, and an expert falconer. He's good at training birds, and fairly good at training people, but easy to take advantage of. In general, he likes kids. He stays within limits, but also likes to spoil Caden. However, he's very responsible and Wolfie knows she can trust him.

Seth Wolfe - Uncle :: Wolfie's second brother
Seth is psychologically unstable but can't afford to regularly check into a mental hospital. Thus, he gets home treatment from his sister. Perhaps Caden can sense that something is wrong with him, because he tends to be a little more tolerant towards him when they need to interact, but avoids him otherwise.

TintaMerle Longtail - Family Friend :: One of Wolfie's co-workers. She also teaches at the University and runs the Rat Olympics.
Caden doesn't know her very well, but he's been told that if anything every happens to Mom, he should go straight to her.
