As he squinted through the flames at the glowing black shape, Cadentau felt an unexpected surge of pride. That was his egg in there. His egg, his dragon, and nobody else's, even if he might have to take care of it. That bat girl, Earako, said she had a red dragon too, right? Maybe they could meet again someday. The lionboy actually smiled at the thought. A red dragon fighting at his side. What could be grander than that?
While Caden was the sort that dealt with problems when they came, Wolfie liked to be prepared. Making sure her son was preoccupied with the egg, she stalked over to the instructor and asked quietly, "Just a few questions. How big and how destructive will it get? What does it eat? Are there any special enviromental requirements? and What can you tell me about Red Dragon social structure?" She pulled out a notepad and a writing utensil, ready to jot down the answers. Proper development depended on optimal care and she was planning to research this just as thouroughly as she had researched lions.

Altessa, having gotten enough time with her egg, glanced up as Raine approached, pointing it out. "S'mine." She murmured softly, knowing no one could hear them. It was rare for Altessa to speak to anyone that way.
"What are you going to name it?" Raine asked, giving her a smile as she reached down to ruffle her hair affectionately.
"Dunno yet." Altessa gave a shrug and turned away, glancing at the others and their eggs, almost as if she was sizing them up. Once she got her dragon... no one would be able to give her any trouble anymore. She could go where she pleased, really. Shoving her hands in her pockets, she remained where she was standing, Raine close by.
It was nice to have someone that cared about what you were doing. Rather unlike Tiil.

Wolfie took a deep breath and a grim determined expression settled on her face. Huge, agressive, territorial, completely carnivores. Yup, they were definately moving soon. Maybe out near the mountains with the rest of the family. There would be wide open spaces, lots of edible wildelife, while it was young, the dragon could even go out hunting with the birds..well, there was also the possiblity that it would eat the birds..which was never good, considering how falconry had been her family's proffession for at least the last six generations. But nooo~ Violet had to be the one with the flower name and the PhD. No..she was going to have to move them somewhere else.
Caden was still staring at the Red Dragon egg as if bewitched, although the rest of the group had already moved on. Well, at least that was one obstacle cleared.

Two clawed hands clutched at her sleeve and the boy tried to walk at least partially behind his adoptive parent, shielding him from view.
He didn't like this place, didn't trust the people in white coats that had been increasing in number since he got here and he certainty didn't like the fact that this was somewhere entirely new where it was very and unreasonably lit in his option, exposing him to any eyes that cared to look.
He'd much rather be somewhere warm and dark, he tugged at his mother's hand. "Mum, mum, I wanna go home. I changed my mind I don't want a Dragon." he whispered urgently blinking up at her through his glasses.
Silen chuckled. She was quite used to the boy's panics now and most often brushed them off with a laugh, it helped sometimes, laughing his fears away and showing they were insignificant. "It's okay, I'll be here the whole time promise and you might even met some children you know. Besides you were the one that wanted to know about dragons when you saw the other children's weren’t you? Don’t you want your own partner? someone to help you build things?"
Taren paused considering them for a moment before nodding, it was true what she said the scaled creatures did fascinate him although he wanted o know if he could get one without sharp teeth that would be good, nevertheless he continued to follow cling to his mother as then entered the incubation lab.

Narayan was a little bit cautious. A little bit, because who knew what sort of ugly, unfriendly person you would meet? A little bit, because at the same time Narayan was a very optimistic little elephant and wanted to believe that right around the corner was the model from page 124 from the Sports Illustrated magazine.
Maybe. Hopefully. Narayan could wait.
Falling in step with his father, his face was almost impassive-- except for his nose. Twitching as if it was doing all the nervous gestures the rest of his body needed, it rarely stopped fidgeting. As if maybe without enough movement, it could generate a mind of it's own.
"Do I get anything out of this?" Narayan asked JD, looking up. Well, he got to meet the egg, whatever it was. But he wanted something more... shiny. More real.
"We'll talk about it after you behave, Rayan. No stupid stuff."
Narayan smirked. Sure. Whateveeer he said.
((because last time I hiatused in the middle, and there aren't many people in this times?))
