There were a pair this time around, it had been a while since he had done a pairs or group class. They were always that much more chaotic but really fun if you asked him. The lights were turned off with only a few small sources of light here and there within the classroom. He gave a little smile, all that he had to do now was wait for his two students to show up. Sahra and the one she would be working with, a little lion boy. This would prove to be interesting but fun for both of them. It was going to be a class on working on their 'hunting skills' which was a sneaky version of tag/hide and seek crossed.

In his hands was a set of night vision goggles, where as the two cats would have their low light vision he didn't have anything so useful so he would have to use tech to make up for that.

Orpheus leaned against the wall next to the door to await his students.

"Come on Re!" Sahra gawked, "Walk, or slither, slink, what ever you do, just do it faster! We're almost just on time, which means we're going to be LATE!" The cheetah began to rush, dragging her feet along the ceramic tiled floors of the D-Corp hallway. Heading through familiar territory, her internal map guided her along to her destination.

"I'm coming Srra, chill out. We're not going to be late." Rolling his slit shaped eyes, Ephrem quickened his pace, merely to catch up to the girl, who was now nearly dashing down the hallway.

"Ahh--" Now searching for breath, the cheetah stood still in front of a very familiar door. She had been here many times before, "Mr. Solon?" The feline muttered, slipping in through the doorway. "Oh, uh, hello!" Slightly shocked to see her teacher standing right next to the doorway, she glanced up towards the clock, and then back down to the man. "Um, sorry if I am late..." She mumbled.

Shoving his head in between her leg and the door frame, Ephrem's muzzle seem to pop out of nowhere! Overly alert and curious, Re tilted his head, looking up at a familiar face. "Hm." He rurred, attempting to wiggle his way into the classroom. "Let me in!" He whined, shifting his gaze up towards his partner.

Caden padded every so slowly down the hallway. Why was he doing this again? He paused to take a bite of the stick of jerky he was holding as he examined the doors. Nope, not that one. Not that one either. Was it that one? Oh wait, the numbers were inverted. Finally, he stopped in front of the correct room, and pushed the door open with one hand as he hastily shoved the rest of the snack in his mouth.

The room was dimly lit, but it didn't take long for his vision to readjust itself. He eyed the room's other occupants warily. So..a cheetah. A female cheetah. Now this was going to get interesting. Lions were primarily nocturnal, cheetahs were day hunters. Her vision was definately going to be clearer than the instructer's but nowhere near as sharp as his. Caden's ears perked upwards and he leaned lazily against the wall, greeting the other two with a simple upwards jerk of his head. It made his hair fluff out, and it was cool looking, or so he thought.

Orpheus glanced over at Sahra as she appeared, "Its alright, nothing to worry about." He said to assure that she wasn't late. How could she be late if the two students hadn't appeared making it so the class couldn't start yet? He wasn't as huge on the 'be here at this time' thing it would seem. Gave him time to go over his plan to make sure it was all something that could work out for him.

"Once the other student arrives we will start." He said, then was pleasently surprised as it seemed the words summoned the lion child, "Alright. And we are ready."

He pushed away from the wall he was leaning against to looked the two over, his two cats and the first ones taking a hunting skills class, "Today we are going to learn 'Hunting' skills." He told them, "First one of you to yell 'Not It' is... well not it. And whoever isn't it will get to go out there first to hide. Now unlike normal hide and seek this is hide and seek crossed with tag. So even if you find your 'prey' you will still have to tag them for them to be 'caught'."

Now, to see who was 'it' and and who was 'prey' first round.

((*isn't sure if we're posting in some sort of order or not*))

Hunting skills? They wanted him to learn hunting skills? "Boy lions don't hunt." he said stubbornly and promptly crossed his arms over his chest, scowling. It was somewhat true of course. Adult male lions who were the head of a pride had lionesses to do their hunting for them. All they had to do was patrol the territory and fight off intruders. He clenched his jaws shut, refusing to participate in the game and shout 'not-it'. Caden took a deep breath to puff out his chest. He hissed lightly as he inhaled, displaying his attitude and drawing air past his Jacobson's organ and EGADs! What was that?! A strange earthy scent tickled his mouth and it was definately not human..or feline for that matter. Comepletely forgetting that he was supposed to look cool, he whirled around in a tight circle, looking for the source of the unfamiliar scent.

((FYI he smells Ephrem.))

"Okay, Mr. Solon, if you say so." Phew, that was close, well, nothing to worry about then; what a relief!

Having made her way into the room at one point or another, Ephrem close behind, Sahra found herself seated on the cold earth, sitting on the backs of her leather-bound heels. Waiting patiently was, luckily for her, one of her stronger suits. Although it made her wonder, who she could possibly be sharing a hunting course with? It obviously had to be another carnivore.

Ephrem took the time to pull himself up against his partner, and relax.

"Hm?" The cheetah's eyes moved along with her ears, the sound of an unfamiliar voice had captured her attention. "Hmph." She snorted, it was a lion; great. And a male, too; even worse. Her natural instincts told her to be wary of this creature. "That's not entirely true." The feline proclaimed, "Females may hunt for the male, or males, that lead their pride, but not all males have a pride. There are more wandering males than males with an established pride." It was true, "And it's an ongoing battle, most males only stay head for a short time, maybe a few years at most. Being without-pride for a good chunk of their lives, they have to do most of their own hunting, in truth. That's especially true for young lions, since they haven't established themselves yet, or aren't strong enough or old enough to assume such a role in lion society."

While she spoke with a dried up voice, the cheetah's eyes had snapped shut. Sahra had learned all these things while reading one of Yin's hundreds of crazy educational magazine subscriptions. Whether it was completely accurate, well, in short, she didn't care.

"If you're not going to say it then I will, 'Not It!'" The cheetah rose, thinking over the details of her teachers instructions one last time, "I'll go hide now! You stay here, Re, just relax longer, okay?" Padding off ward, she didn't wait for an answer to her question, she simply tip-toed off into the familiar surroundings of the wooded classroom. Where shall she hide? Somewhere dark, in the underbrush, so she could blend in. Hm. She knew a good spot in a far corner under some semi-painful bushes.

Orpheus found himself rather impressed by what all Sahra said to the young lion boy, the same things that had been going through his head but as he now had no reason to say them instead he turned to look at Candentau, "Think of it more on the fact that your in a class and want to get it done for the grade if nothing else." He told him, really couldn't have a game of hide and seek/tag if there was only one person to hide and tag after all.

"Close your eyes and count to twenty and then you can go out and see if you can find and catch up with your 'prey'." He said, hoping that if for no other reason the lion played along for the grade.

What was she on? The cheetah, and Cadentau mentally refused to call her anything more specific, talked a million miles a minute, and what she said made his expression sour even more. After a moment's surprise, he quickly recovered and dropped back into his 'cool' pose. Her words might have stung, but it didn't mean she had to know. He glared at Orpheus and flattened his ears. No, no, and definately not! No stupid grade was worth facing up to something so humiliating! And thus, he was stuck. If he played the game, he would be admitting that he didn't have a pride, which he most certaintly did, even if it consisted of Mom and only Mom. If he didn't play, the cheetah would have the last word. So, Caden did what he always did when confronted with a problem that couldn't be solved with violence and whining. He curled up on the astroturf resemboling material for a nap.

Oh come on, it couldn't take someone this long to at least start making some noise, could it? Sahra huffed, letting off a long sigh. What is up with this kid? She didn't want to be shoved under here all day, wasting away like an old peanut butter sandwich shoved under an end table. Cat's where supposed to be quick hunters, some of the best; she should already have been running.

Ephrem rolled over onto his back, a strange sight indeed, but the lindworm was feeling particularly restless, and just couldn't seem to get himself comfortable. "Hm?" He roared, eyeing the lion boy curiously; what exactly could this cat be up to?

As soon as the lion hit the ground, Re flipped himself back over, raising himself upward, coiling around like a snake. He let off a loud threatening 'hiss,' snarling soon after.

Sahra's ears jerked upwards, and her head rose, "Uh-oh," She mumbled, "Re doesn't sound to happy..."

Orpheus's eyes went a bit wide at the boy's reaction to everything, to lay down and apparently fall asleep. Then he turned as he heard the dragon hissing and his gaze went over to Ephrem before moving to stand between the lion and the dragon, "Ephrem, unless you want to wait in the hall I ask you to please relax." He had never had to eject anyone student or dragon from one of his classes but he didn't want Ephrem eating Candentau.

He then turned to look at the lion, wondering what one was to do about a child that fell asleep in class... so he squatted down and reached a hand out to poke at him, "Hey, Candentau. Wake up you have a class to complete."

The lionboy had almost actually fallen asleep in that short amount of time. Annoyed with being poked, he hissed and batted at Mr. Solon's hand half-heartedly before muttering, "Oh fine." He obviously wasn't getting out of this one, especially not with that threatening thing that looked like it might attack him at any moment. Somehow, he felt that he should be keeping an eye on the dragon instead, but he trudged off into the mock-terrein, making as much noise as he dared.

They could make him do it, but there was no way in heck he'd be happy about it. Nope, any chance of a good attitude from him was shot right out the window. In fact, they could count on him having a bad attutide entirely. With this in mind, he considered his surroundings. Grass, grass, and more really tall yellow grass in all directions. A few trees..maybe. That one kind of looked like it might be painted onto a wall..and a large rock. Well, there was no way the teacher could see him. He might as well take his nap here instead and wait for class to be over.

Ephrem huffed, how could this boy act so rudely? Was he really that lazy? He was lucky that he was in as good of a mood as he was, or else he may just have attacked. "Hmph, what ever." He muttered, teeth still barred as the child scurried off. What a mouse.

Where could that kid be? Sahra grumbled, the pokey thorns on the bush she was hiding in were really starting to annoy her. She swatted a few leafless branches out of her face, the back of her hand aching particularly from the action.

He was a lion after all, lions were lazy, no-good things. She definitely did not think highly of such a creature, how could she, when he couldn't bare to complete such a simple task? Or maybe he was looking and he was just to dense to find her. That one made her laugh.

"Thank you." The teacher said first to the lion boy as he scurried off, then again to the dragon for not eating said lion. He watched him go then looked off in the direction that Sahra went. And waited... he wondered if the boy was going to find her or not. Well he would give them ten minutes of searching before he decided what to do from there.

Caden was just drifting off when he heard a branch rustle. He flicked an ear towards the sound and opened one eye. It was coming from that scrubby area over there. Well, well, since the cheetah was obviously nearby and he was already in a bad mood, he might as well go after her. Instinctively, he dropped into a low crouch, keeping his claws sheathed and creeping forwards a few steps at a time. He supposed that he was supposed to attack from the back, but he was dealing with a cheetah, so he might need the extra seconds that it took for her to turn around. Then again, if she was hiding in that spikey bush, she most likely wouldn't see him coming anyway. When he was within distance, Caden leaped into the spikey bush with as terrifying of a roar as he could produce, not even considering the chance that she wasn't hiding in the bush at all. Waitaminute..spikey?

Ephrem, growing restless, waited for a moment when Orpheus was either to deep in thought to remember was there, or simply looked away. Slipping into some dense secondary growth, he quietly slithered through the greenery like a snake, sniffing the air for signs of either Sahra or the lion. That kid had really irked him, more or so than anyone else had managed to yet, at least since Gabby.

Oh great She thought, nearly poking her eye with a thorn, I'm going to be stuck her all da- Sahra's thoughts were quickly interrupted, not to mention she nearly jumped out fo her skin. The cheetah instinctively jetted forward, which wasn't to smart of her, since she not only got a face full of thorns, but an arm full as well. "Acckkk!" She mumbled to herself, why did she have to be so jumpy!?

Luckily enough for her act, she had slipped only literal inches, if even, from the landing of the lion. I'm glad that didn't land on me, that would have hurt a lot more, especially since I'm completely surrounded by thorns. At east I picked a good hiding spot. The cheetah snickered, ignoring the stinging sensation on her face and arms, she struggled in the branches of the picker bush. Come on, lemme go! She hissed, only getting herself even more tangled in the undergrowth. Curses having fur!

Her tail thrashed against what ever was unlucky enough to be in its path behind her, as she slowly pulled her way out.

Meanwhile, Ephrem was slowly, but surely, tracking them down on his own.
