Those Involved: Mary, Keanu, Paxton, Cody, Alaqua, Nikiana, Tech 144, D-Techs, Colt, Vidura, Our three heros come upon Mary, moving a few boxes of junk into her new office, however, the elevator is out of order, so Keanu, Cody, and Paxton go up the stairs to investigate while Caden waited in the lobby with Mary. They were blocked by Tech 144, and told to go back down the stairs. Upon their return to the lobby, we discover just why the stairs are blocked. Killers and Wanted Men, Colt .45 and Vidura kill Tech 144. Enraged, Keanu and Cody attack, and are also easily repelled as well as greviously injured.
Caden focuses on trying to get Paxton and the group of females to safety, but he is unable to prevent the lovebird from rushing to the aid of his fallen friends, and Paxton is knocked aside by Vidura as well. Soon, D-techs are swarming over the scene and the two criminals are finally driven off.

Wolfie's Files Dec. 23 2006 Subject: Cadentau Pantheras Wolfe - Trauma If I didn't know the importance of being polite to large corporations with huge security systems and tracking capebilities, this is very much what I would like to say.
Dear Idiots-at-D-Corp,
As you are well aware, you sent Cadentau to me as a patient, whom I have since adopted. As it turns out, he had no mental illness whatsoever, until you people messed him up!!! First on Halloween night, A MURDER! And you just HAVE to waltz into the hallway and announce it to everyone! A child is NOT supposed to realize their own mortal peril until the age of 5! You caught him at 3! 3! Far too young for that sort of thing! I had just managed to get him to stick it in the back of his mind, and wham! Another murder and serious injuries to three kids, one of whom was his friend! Can we say post-traumatic stress disorder?! And worst of all, he's a giant cat, so he paces around and night being spooked by everything and has nightmares during his afternoon naps, when I'm at work and can't be there for him! This is going to take MONTHS to heal! MONTHS! And even then, the scars won't fade for years. Cadentau is a lion, a male lion, so he's already extremely possessive and territorial. My fiancee is going to be moving here soon, so Caden is already going to have to deal with the stress of another male invading his home. I don't need him stressing over this! To him, it's a lost battle, a failure to protect his pride, which will either make him highly agressive towards Nicky, or make him distance himself from me, beleiving himself to be kicked out of the pride, which means I won't be able to treat him effectively. In other words QUIT MESSING WITH MY KID'S HEAD OR YOU'LL BE GETTIN' HOLES IN PLACES THEY DON'T BELONG!!! Thanks to Mother, I've already got enough patients in the family, the most difficult of which being my dear misanthropic brother. I don't need Caden to loose his little mind too!Dear D-Corp, In the future, please be more careful of what you allow children to witness. Caden was not mentally ill before recent events, but now I am seriously worried about the posibility of post-traumatic stress disorder. He seems to be showing symptoms, but I cannot yet acertain whether the sudden change in behavior is due to mental illness or simply a feline reaction to increased stress. I will continue to monitor him very carefully.

Those Involved: Mr. Orpheous Solon, Sahra, Ephrem (Lindworm) Things were a little rough at first, mainly because Caden is a lazy little lion who very much cherishes his pride, but they actually got something accomplished in the end.

I'll be Home for Christmas The Coming of Nicky Pt. III Those Involved: Caden, Wolfie, Nicky, I'll be home for Christmas.. That song was playing on the radio again. Now that Christmas was actually here, the reminder was making him more and more irrate while Wolfie was getting more and more cheerful. It was cold and snowy, and the sunlight hours were getting less and less, and worst of all, something was about to happen to disturb any manner of peace that might have existed in the small apartment. Then the doorbell rang, and Cadentau realized exactly what, or rather who, that thing was. When Dominique had given him that cryptic message over AIM a month ago, he hadn't taken it seriously. Now, the lionboy felt distinctly threatened as his mother practically purred over a man he had never seen before, tray of unbaked gingersnaps forgotten in one hand. Caden looked over the stranger appraisingly from his place on the couch, his displeasure increasing by the second. This Nicky person that Mom was so affectionate with was taller than her by a quarter of a head, had blue eyes like Caden, tanned yellowish skin; he was obviously of some Asian blood, and worst of all, large grey cat-ears poking out of his thick black hair. Yup, definately a threat. Dominique was everything that a young lion would not want encroaching upon his territory. The words that passed between the two adults were lost to him as they leaned in for a kiss that had been over a year in waiting, Caden lost it. With an enraged roar, he leaped up from his seat and forced his way between them, pulling Wolfie behind him and facing the newcomer snarling with his ears back and his teeth bared. They stayed like that for a few moments, too shocked to move. Then everything snapped into another flurry of motion as Caden swiped a clawed hand at the intruder, intending to leave as deep of a wound as possible. A blue fury seemed to wash over Nick as his ears came forwards and he snarled right back, catching the lion's clublike arm easily as Wolfie broke his grip on her hand with a quick twist of her wrist and reversed the situation by bringing his hands to the back of his head and knocking the backs of his knees with her foot, effectively restraining her son. Then the tirade began. "Cadentau! You are not to attack others without permission. You are not to injure others with permission. You are especially not to maul perfect strangers without good reason." Wolfie reprimanded harshly. "I had a reason!" he spat back "YOU! This is MY HOME! GET OUT! GET OUT AND NEVER COME NEAR HER AGAIN!!" the lionboy roared and struggled harder, but Dominique remained quite impassive, and simply pushed his large round glasses further up the bridge of his nose. "Wolfie, please let him go. I think we need to work this out a bit more fairly." "Not in my household." she insisted firmly. "Cadentau was just in a bit of a temper, but he'll settle down a little, Okay?" she chirped, more towards Caden than anyone. The lionboy growled louder and struggled still more adamently. With an exasperated sigh, Wolfie released her hold and Caden found himself quickly dragged outside and the door shut behind him. Nick's lips were moving, so he was probably saying something, but Caden didn't bother to listen. He launched himself straight into another attack and the scuffle that followed could not even be properly called a fight. The next moment, Caden found himself pinned against the ground with a knee in his back and an arm keeping his hands well imobilized. "You haven't listened to a word I said, have you, Caden." Nick began, "But please, at least hear me out. I know this must be very sudden for you, but your Mom and I have been engaged for the past eight years and now that I've finally found a job around here, we're going to be married. So please, spare some leniency for us and give me a chance. I was hoping we could be friends." "Keh! Housecat! I'll claw your face off!" "That's what I thought." Caden could feel a distinct shrugging motion, although he wasn't sure how. "Well, at least remember who won the fight this time." With that, Nick let him up and walked back to the door of the apartment. He held it open, waiting for the lionboy to pick himself off the ground. "You coming?" Caden did not hesitate to glare angrily and keep his ears laid back against his skull, but retreated into the warm apartment anyway. He would have his revenge and reclaim his rightful place as master of the house..someday.

Wolfie's Files Jan. 15 2007 Subject: Family Dynamics Caden is coping surprisingly well with the arrival of Nick, and my iminent wedding (finally!), which is not to say that he is coping well at all, just that he is taking this much better than I expected him too. I'm not quite sure what Nick did to him after the initial confrontation, but there haven't been any episodes of outright violence since. Not within my knowledge at least, although I do suspect a great deal of animosity on Caden's part, since Nick is going out of his way to be on friendly terms. We've been engaged since before Grad school, and we're still not living together, but that will change soon. I'm still working on how to break the news gently to Caden, but it has to be done soon. Children are surprisingly canny about when adults are keeping secrets and he'll be upset if he thinks we aren't telling him something. Since the arrivial of Nick, Caden has been becoming much more aggressive. Instead of just sitting around doing nothing, he'll actively pick fights with other kids. He even got into a tussle with that Cheetah girl..what was her name? Sahra..with Sahra's lindworm. To tone this down and hopefully sublime it into something productive, I've stuck him into boxing and wrestling classes, two things at which he seems to excel despite his age. This may or may not turn out for the best, but there will be some way to make it work and I will find it. I know that I cannot leave Caden, nor can I deny Nick something we promised each other eight years ago. I should call Tintamerle tomorrow morning. I'm sure we (or her students) will think of something.

Those Involved: Ligeia, Fluer, Drez, Nibal, Vorrel (Frost Dragon) An interlude right after the metaplot, in which Cadentau is still recovering and given to violent outbursts and extreme territoriality. Wolfie has left him with Ligeia, the babysitter, in order to go to work and our little lion is NOT happy about it. Separation anxiety on steroids.
In order to cope, Caden takes to intimidating the other kids while extending a vicious territoriality over Ligeia. He openly confronts Fluer and intimidates the skunk, which isn't all that hard to do in the first place.

Planning on fixing that? Violet: *shrug* It's not because he can't read, it's because he's too lazy to type out the whole word. Note that he never uses substiutions that make the word longer like 'lawl' 'roffle' and 'stoopid' and he doesn't excessively insert the word 'like'. Nick: It is a bit uncultured though. When did this happen, you used to wage flame wars with chatspeakers, and you were such a Grammar Nazi with me. Violet: I realized that I was contributing to Reactance Theory. If I tell him not to, and especially if you tell him not to, he'll want to do it just to disobey. Besides, you just didn't know any better, Mr. Funny-Accent. Nick: Psh. English as a 3rd language. Big deal. Violet: In any case, once he realizes that proper typing makes people generally act nicer, he'll stop with the chatspeak. Nick: Y'think he knows you read his blog? Violet: He put it on the internet for the whole world to see. Why not?

Plot Limits 01. Sicknesses: Mild. Simple things like Colds or flus, or chicken pox, or perhaps a strange glitch in the DNA that's easily cureable: Hm.. as improbable as this is, I'd be fine with it if it were logical. I can't think of any DNA glitches, he's got nice fluffy fur, and Wolfie will have made sure that he's immune to most common sicknesses (She believes in having an immune system). 02. Sicknesses: Severe. Hard to cure things, like phenomia, scarlet fever, bronchitus, appendicitus, or a DNA glitch. Cureable, but could cause long term damage: Nope, sorry. Caden's only special point is his physical strength. If something were to wipe that out, he'd pretty much be useless as a dragon rider. 03. Sicknesses: Chronic-Mild. Diseases that never go away, or DNA glitches, such as scoliosis, diabeties, stomach ulcers, but are not potentially life threatning. (Diabeties can be kept under control with regulation, ect): Iono. Maybe something that would make him go deaf. It'd be ironic if he couldn't hear his own roar. 04. Sicknesses: Chronic-Severe. The top order of these things, such as Cancer, HIV, ectect. The elite of the diseases. >_>: Nope, same as 02. 05. Injuries: Mild Knicks, cuts, scrapes, black eyes... things that can be handled on their own with a bandaid and some antibiotics: Yep. This is prolly going to happen a lot anyway. He's a fighter, not good for much else. 06. Injuries: Moderate Gashes that require stiches, fingers that need to be sewn back on... Mostly needing medical attention, but after that tend to be fine: Yep. Caden is fairly likely to both cause and sustain this kind of injury. 07. Injuries: Severe Things that take a long time to heal, broken bones, head injuries (because they'd have to shave the hair XD): Sure. He'd be really upset if he had to shave his hair though. I think if Caden broke an arm, he'd try to attack someone with the cast. 08. Injuries: Life-Threatning in general, can we put your kid's life in danger? There's more detail on these Note! This can not be done without contacting me first in normal RP. (The exemption to the rule dropping): No problem (as long as you don't actually kill him.) Wolfie will help him get over the trauma. 09. Collapsed Lung Reprecussions will include: Nearly dieing in a matter of minutes, potential brain damage from lack of air to brain, long hospitalization, increased chance of lung sicknesses with stronger effects (bronchitus, for example): Fine with me. 10. Broken Skull Reprecussions will include: Potential brain damage, amnesia, coma: Fine as long as there's not too much brain damage. Caden doesn't have much intelligence to spare in the first place. 11. Eye injury Reprecussions will include: Blindness: Not okay. He needs his binocular depth perception. 12. Ear Injury Reprecussions will include: Deafness: Fine. I think I mentioned this earlier. 13. Spinal injury Reprecussions will include: Paralasis: Not okay. Without physical strength/mobility, he's no better than a normal human as a dragonrider. It would defeat the purpose of specially creating riders. 14. Other longterm Injuries that I can't think of right now. Please specify if you have anything:15. Kidnapping: Fine, if you can manage it logically. Remember, he's very strong but not much else. 16. Hostage situations: Fine, but expect him to rashly challenge his capturers. 17. Parent's getting harmed: Nick, okay. Wolfie, no. (Please specify) Nick is a teacher/writer person, and he's kinda wussy. it wouldn't be too difficult. Wolfie is a psychologist, lived on an aviary station when she was younger, had two older brothers and a violent mother. I think she can handle pretty much anything, plus being able to talk most people out of hurting her. 18. Witnessing any of the above: Sure (Please Specify) He'd probably dash in to save them without a second thought if he thinks said person was in his 'pride' or if he thinks he's being outdone by lessay..Keanu. 19. Other?: Caden could be classifies as one of those big strong boxer/wrestler types. As long as whatever happens doesn't permenantly interfere with that, it's fine by me.
