That is not to say that I don’t enjoy civ RP; I do enjoy it. But I strongly prefer for civ side RP to somehow enhance, reflect, deepen, or otherwise be tied to the powered side RP (e.g., using civilian friendships to build up stronger powered support networks, being rivals with someone in powered life but besties in civ life, etc).
Basically, I will always prefer home-world and Wonder visits, random battles, chilling in Negaspace, visits to Mirrorspace, random chats while powered, etc. to any kind of civ side RP.
Slice of life RP is great, but I likewise prefer it to be some kind of magical (especially if it involves visiting homeworlds/wonders, Negaspace, or Mirrorspace!).
I *enjoy* romantic, shippy RPs, but it is *NOT* the most important thing in RP to me. I care just as much—and in some cases more—about my characters’ platonic and familial relationships. Making the dolls kiss is fun and all, but offering you a non-romantic plot idea means just as much to me. Please DO NOT pressure me for a romantic ship or try to sneak romantic shippy things into our scenes when we’re nominally writing a platonic friendship.
Please also respect my intelligence about this. If we agreed to play a platonic friendship, then I won’t appreciate hearing ideas for threads like “What if people thought these totally platonic friends were romo-dating,” “What if Character A put on a whole pretend event that’s loaded with romantic significance because they found out that their totally platonic friend Character B didn’t go to senior prom,” or “What if these totally platonic friends went to a carnival and got stuck on the ferris wheel together.” I *DO NOT* value a relationship less just because it’s non-romantic, so please don’t try to force obviously romantic situations into our NON-romantic plots.
*PLEASE* do not feel pressured to write long replies just because I do. Most of the time, I am trying to make them shorter. Whatever length feels right for your tag, go with that and *please* don’t try to force it to be longer just because mine is.
My tagging speeds can vary wildly sometimes. If you need an RP to move quickly for plot reasons, growth req reasons, etc., please let me know so I can prioritize it!
I remain, perpetually, sorry for Kiyoshi/Murikabushi. I don’t know what he did to merit an apology this time, but I’m sure it’s ******** Something.
Dunwich [journal] (NEEDS: 1 battle, 6 regs, 6 solos/2 regs to sub in, me to stop neglecting her).
PLOT PRIORITIES
Murikabushi [journal] (please come visit his home-world and help me get him space-literate).
Kaifeng [journal] (trying to figure out why the river at his wonder is all messed up and fix it).
Andesine [journal] (working on a proposal about making a Negaverse gacha game).
Cryptomelane [journal] (I have plans for what I want to do with him when he hits General and I’d like to use his Captain reqs to build up to them. Specifically seeking: excuses for him to chomp on starseeds; interactions with PC youma or half-youma officers; learning more about youma in general; chances to feel the slow build-up of repeatedly consuming starseeds).
Farbauti [journal] (need to do his magic-stabilization plot).
Lucky you, I enjoy writing battles and have several characters who are very fighty!
Personally, I find it helps to have an idea of what character beats you want to get out of the battle when you start. If you don’t know those exactly, knowing who’s going to win or not works just as well. Either way, open OOC communication and discussion!
See below for a handy-dandy height chart with challenge rankings, or more coherent lists!
Battles for Your ORDER Character:
Andesine: She can go either way on fights. They aren’t her most favorite thing in the world, but sometimes, you need to pop out and make the Order jerk shut up. Has a very nasty forgotten spell and her personal youma’s attack is equally unpleasant. If you need a win, she can be overconfident and takes herself too seriously, so you can very easily exploit those traits.
Cryptomelane: Very good for a “wake up call” fight if your Order characters are getting cocky, or haven’t been fully exposed to things like starseeding. Extremely willing to drop-kick chibis and free range teens off of roofs, into dumpsters, etc. His personal youma is violent and bitey, but Ympe’s magic is not combat-oriented.
Ilmari: Torn between his desire to be perfectly in control of himself at all times, and his growing realization that doing violence makes him feel better. Will probably try to avoid a fight, then fling his magic when you sufficiently annoy him. Physically, he fights like a Real Housewife (eye-clawing, hair-pulling, etc.), except he’s sober and he works out daily. Still has a lot to learn, though, if your second-stage character needs a win.
Lete: Low-grade nuisance. Paper tiger despite her powerful magic. Not a huge threat (she could be if she applied herself but lmao, no thanks), but very annoying. Perfect for an Awakening thread because she folds so easy. Can beat up your first-or-second-stage to help them learn or get beaten up to help them feel cool.
Nekoite: He’s a baby first-stage, please beat him up and help him git gud. Bonus points if you do something to remind him of a FromSoft boss, but that is not required.
Battles For Your CHAOS Characters:
Arcalís: On one hand, he’s a first stage. On the other, he has 1,000+ years of experience as a senshi. Not especially prone to violence, but he is prone to emotional outbursts and those can get violent.
Corvina: Enormous beefcake space tiefling who looks like he could bodily mangle you. Well versed in combat and eager to fight. His magic isn’t fun to deal with, either. That said, he is also arrogant and I think it’s funny when he gets beaten up, so if you need a win, I’m very open to that.
Dunwich: Extremely battle-shy due to her husband being a purified Nega. This happened several years ago and they’ve tried to keep a low profile since. She will fight back, but relative lack of power and preparation make her a good target for an easy win.
Farbauti: Easy victory for your character, honestly. He scares easily and he isn’t especially experienced at fighting anybody. His conflict responses are more often Flight or Fawn. Sometimes Freeze, but rarely ever Fight. Extremely wet rat-coded and bully-able.
Kaifeng: Prefers not to fight as much as possible, but he isn’t afraid to throw down if necessary. His forgotten spell and base magic are both pretty nasty to get hit with, and he’s been practicing with his staff. Will beat up your Chaos kid to make them stop draining energy but will be relatively nice about it.
Murikabushi: This one talks so much, it’s low-key a marvel to me that he ever got his own battle reqs done. Still, if you need a sassy Order character to break things up or grab your character by the scruff like a disappointed mama cat until they behave? He’s your guy.
Rhiannon: Blessed noob who has no idea what she’s doing. If you want your character to learn better, she has shielding magic but is not good for beating them up. If you want your Chaos kid to win, then please, come beat her up.
Thalassa: This one bites. There is functionally no difference between him and a normal human, but he does bite. Another case of “first-stage character with 1,000+ years of experience.” May be violent for the sheer delight of it, but may instead decide your character is beneath him and throw out his magic rather than deal with them.
If you’re accusing me of playing favorites, you’re wrong! I love all my children equally!!
………but yeah, no, Muri and Kaifeng are my *Favorites*. That’s pretty much why they’re at third-stage and more capable of Doing Cool Magical Things, while the rest of my characters are still working on growth reqs.
Muri is somewhat more Favorite than Kaifeng, but I do love them both.
I have specific things I’m working on for/with both of them, but they’re also available to slot into any plots y’all have that you think they might work for. Basically any scenario or circumstances, barring a few things they’re not interested in (e.g., corruption). They may not work for every plot, but we can talk and try to work out something!
Murikabushi of Hunger (journal): How do I even begin to describe Murikabushi. Earnest and compassionate, but also willfully self-deluded and a midkey martyr with an incredibly questionable sense of self-value. He is The Drama. He knows that he’s The Drama.
Friendly neighborhood drag queen, barista (at Puppy Paws bakery-café), and maker of cute custom outfits. Currently does his drag on TikTok/Youtube/Instagram/social media in general, so collab with him, maybe? (Just don’t ask him how he feels about being a social media queen.)
(He hates being a social media queen. 0/10, would rather perform in a sleazy bar any day.)
OOCly, I really want to get him space-literate, so please please please PLEASE come visit his home-world with him. He will show you all the cool places like the old theaters and taverns, the capital city’s different commercial and residential districts, the temples, the gardens, the different landmarks he’s been exploring, and the public square where his past life self was executed.
I’m working on a plot proposal about more structured adventures on his home-world, so watch this space for details as I work things out with staff.
Kaifeng, Knight of Saturn (journal): Friendly neighborhood perky goth alien-romancer and independent composer. Wants to see the best in everyone as often as possible, but also knows that sometimes, people need to Get Told. The “—of fun! =D” to Helene’s “Someone will die.”
Does your second-stage Chaos character need battle reqs? Is your third-stage Chaos character restless and itching to fight? Can I offer you a Kaifeng in this trying time? He needs some battles so he can do his Cosmic Resonance quest, so please come fight him!
He’s less likely to be violent with a first-stage unless they choose violence first, especially if they threaten someone else.
Civ-side, maybe some old friends or former hookups from before he got wifed up by a hot alien? Liánlí used to be way more into clubbing and random hookups, but dropped the scene pretty much entirely when Helene got here in September 2023.
Also, he gives music lessons! Mostly violin, but he can also teach piano, guitar, and several others.

SECOND STAGE HOTTIES
Not my top growth priority (see my first stages post below), but I either have plots lined up that these kids are working on (some pending working on stuff with staff), or I’d really like to work on getting some more plots lined up for them.
If they grow in the next year or so, then cool. If not, though, then I won’t be terribly fussed. They’re going to chug along on some growth reqs regardless, so.
Captain Andesine (journal): Theater kid (current choreographer with the local theater company) turned neurotic overachiever workaholic Nega who likes graphs, charts, and referring to her draining victims as “human resources.”
No, really, she’s the Rachel Berry of the Negaverse (somewhat less entitled, at least……she would still send a rival to a crack-house to get them out of her way, though……come on, it wasn’t an active crack-house!). With more than dash of Hermes Conrad.
Part of General Ashanite’s team, but she will happily and eagerly volunteer for anything.
Watch this space for details about an energy-draining gym plot for Negas to get involved in! I’m working on this plot with staff rn.
Getting her some more Negaverse connections would be nice. Anybody want to be friendly colleagues?
Lesbian and single, but not really looking for romance right now. Open to a romance plot in theory, but she’d need to really hit it off with someone. Said lady will also need to be okay with coming second on the priority list, after Andesine’s Schemes and Plans.
Corvina of Windflowers (journal): Enormous beefcake space Tiefling flavor of DSS over here. Corvina’s world was once a proud warrior culture (or at least they thought so), and oh boy, he will let you know. Surly, ill-tempered, quick to violence, extremely judgmental and dismissive.
………Unless Lanting of Ida is around and/or asks him to be nice to you. If Corvina behaves himself, it’s probably somehow to Lanting’s credit.
Thinks most problems in life can be resolved by punching them until they stop being problems. Makes him A+ for battle reqs if you need any!
Corvina’s world was really more about violence for violence’s sake, no matter how much they called themselves a “proud warrior culture.” You are invited to call him out about the contradictions if they appear (or if your DSS might know them).
Plot priority when he hits second stage IC is going to be building up to his Chaos clear! Also, he wants to start a fight club.
Captain Cryptomelane (journal): Hardworking, meticulous, devoted. Reclusive, unforgiving, perfectionist, moody/volatile. Has been doing a history/religious studies PhD (finishing it in May 2026!), but yearns to be a mad scientist. Part of General Amazonite’s team.
On one hand, he unironically acts like a Saturday morning cartoon villain and will gladly start the fight if your Order character won’t.
On the other hand, he lets Brassite and Sonora boss him around, very strongly supports women’s wrongs in addition to women’s rights, and objects to Knighthood because he thinks it’s exploitative that the Code doesn’t give y’all health insurance.
Very interested in mad Negaverse science and youma studies.
Extremely out of touch with pop culture. Name a current pop star and he probably thinks she is a DCU student because he only hears her name around campus. His most current references involve opera. Bootlegs of new operas/performances are the way to his heart.
He’s very BAMF (Bad At Making Friends). Please, help him make more friends?
Farbauti of Rage (journal): By daylight, a shy, self-deprecating delivery boy who’s afraid of his own shadow. By moonlight, a shy, self-deprecating senshi who’s still afraid of his own shadow. Please, he’s just a little guy!
On the Internet, he has a small army of troll side-accounts where he likes to cause problems and make people come yell at him. Some of said accounts have highly developed, cultivated personae that he has put years of work into nurturing. He knows this behavior is pathetic, and yet……
If you ever see him posting as himself, he is probably debating Cinema. If you ever want to get him talking IRL, talk to him about Cinema. Want to run into him at the movie theater and hear him out about why it’s a crime that I Saw The TV Glow was snubbed during awards season?
Dating Aokigahara of Saturn for a year-and-a-half. Perpetually scared he’s gonna mess it up.
His roommate is a leech from outer space. Meaning, a DSS who stole Vanya’s bed a little over a year ago. Vanya has been supporting both of them since and feels like he is constantly teetering on the brink of a meltdown.
Corrupt Ilmari of Chastity (journal): The sweetest, nastiest two-faced b***h you’ll ever meet. At any given moment, his inner monologue is probably: A. Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso”; B. an infinite, black abyss of self-loathing, self-doubt, and perfectionism; or C. Jools Lebron going “Very demure, very mindful, I don’t come to work with a green cut-crease, I don’t do too much.” Also, he lives for silly little tasks and being given orders.
Do you have a Nega who needs an extra set of hands for a mission? Consider him volunteered!
Civ side, he’s an art student at DCU and does some modeling (a mix of fashion modeling and artsier stuff, which is a polite way of saying “shoots where he lounges around a graveyard mostly naked right at sunrise or something similar”). Commission him to draw your fursona? emotion_kirakira
Dark Mirror Lete of Decadence (journal): Professional nuisance. Youngest sibling syndrome incarnate. Would love to argue with you about why the Dark Mirror Court draining energy is Marxist praxis, actually (using words she doesn’t understand). Also, a firm advocate of treating yo’self.
Do you need a low-level threat to battle your Order character? Lete is barely any kind of threat. Her magic is pretty nasty, if you want your Order kiddo to get whumped, but she also folds at the first sign of pushback if you want them to win.
Fellow Mirror senshi, please come be her friend! She wants to explore Mirrorspace with you, or hang out while draining energy with you, or generally do friend-type things with you. Come see her realm!! Do you want to collab on finding new ways to combine Mirrorscape crystals?
Unless you might take issue with her cross-faction dating an Order senshi (Little Mx. Demeter of Agriculture), in which case *Marie Kondo voice* I’m so excited because I love mess.
Civ-side, she works at an indie “books and nerd paraphernalia” store (Aimee Lacroix’s Arkham Letters), but you might know her better from Tiktok. Wanna collab on something there? Or work with her on making a Dark Mirror-created Nightvale-esque podcast happen?
Thalassa of Exhaustion (journal): “Amoral space mermaid who bites” flavor DSS. Patient and loyal, but he’s been falling apart since he stared into the Dark Star during the Calamitous Hollow battle. Hot garbage mess right now, engage at your own risk.
Would love to talk backstory with other DSS! On Earth, Thalassa was initially acting pretty different from how he did during the Silver Millennium. This has gone solidly out the window since the Calamitous Hollow battle. Went from 1,000+ years of stone cold sobriety to “more or less constantly some degree of intoxicated” about a month after said battle (mid-May 2025). Drinking like he has a death wish while telling himself this is normal.
These kids are a TOP growth priority to me! I’d really like to end 2025 with no characters still at first-stage.
Arcalís of Adversity (journal): New DSS in town, this one comes in bunny boy flavor! At his best, Arcalís is generous and scrupulous, always trying to help people. Right now, he’s very much not at his best. Far more likely to throw snowballs and/or panic.
If you were connected with The Nameless in the past, so was he! He wasn’t a full member or anything, but he paid them to “kidnap” his best friend—Lex Wysten/DSS Madriu of Struggle—for various reasons (usually things like “taking Lex home for his grandma’s birthday”).
He also did a lot of space diplomacy, so maybe he and your DSS knew each other? Maybe he knew your Earthborn senshi in their past life?
Earth Chaos currently feels overwhelmingly scary for him, so his instinct is gonna be either running or fighting. If your Chaos character is obnoxious or actively draining/harming people, he’ll probably opt for “Fight.”
Lieutenant Nekoite (journal): Friendly neighborhood FromSoft fanboy who regularly interrupts streams to show off and spoil his many bunnies. Enthusiastic, outgoing, and imaginative but also needy, self-loathing, and utterly without boundaries. Author of truly wretched Dead Dove fanfiction.
Does your Mauvian need battles? Ask your doctor if Nekoite is right for you!! (He can do sparring/training with Chaos Maus, or straightforward battles with Order Maus. Come get your feline battle reqs!)
Or Mauvians can talk to him! Even Order Mauvians! I wanna make the most out of his cat toy weapon before he levels up. He’ll dote on Chaos Mauvians, and attack Order Mauvians but apologize for it because you’re probably really nice, you should just come join the Negaverse, maybe?!
Officially, he is Arsenolite’s Lieutenant. Semi-officially, he also answers to Ashanite. Unofficially, he thinks everyone in the Negaverse is his friend and he’s happy to help with whatever you need!
Does your Order character need battle reqs? Well, Nekoite wants to impress his Generals, so please come fight him!
Rhiannon of Sovereignty (journal): 19-year-old DCU fine arts student and Pokémon enthusiast. Usually acts very sweet and kind, and she is? But beneath the cultivated demure persona, she is an emotional hurricane. Also clingy, competitive, and desperate to be liked.
Sure is “friends or something” with Kaito Himura. Emphasis on the “or something.” They’re 19 and ridiculous, please be patient.
Would you like to trade Pokémon with her? Battle a raid boss together in Pokémon Go? Find her standing outside some random abandoned building at all hours of the night, staring intently at her phone and getting weirdly bitey when you try to ask her what she’s doing?
She has literally nothing going on for her yet aside from Kaito! Please, come be her friend.
Unless you are also in the competitive ballroom dance scene, in which case, would you like to be rivals? Or perhaps dance partners?
Also seeking a powered mentor who can be patient with her. Bonus points if they’re trans like her, but that’s not required!

CIVILIANS & NPCs OF INTEREST. Aleksey Lebedev: 25. Member of upcoming pop-punk boy band, Star Eclipse (vocals, songwriting, overbearing big brother figure).
Aleksey’s main Boy Band Persona is The Smart One: intellectual, emotionally reserved, and standoffish, with a soft side. The Spock to Vasha’s Kirk.
This persona is pretty close to reality. A trained multi-instrumentalist who studied composition in college, he takes himself and his work very seriously, and takes a while to warm up to people. But he’s deeply loyal to his people, and only gets on his bandmates’ cases because he loves them.
Prior to Star Eclipse, Aleksey tried to make it as a Serious, Poetically Inclined Singer-Songwriter in a similar vaguely folkish indie vein as Hozier. Aleksey still has a chip on his shoulder about failing at this, especially because people didn’t believe a pretty boy like him wrote his own music.
He has a Nega Agent power-up planned, and it will be coming in the near-ish future.
Avery Arden: 30. Recently relocated to Destiny City after living in the woods of rural Maine for almost a decade.
Currently spends a lot of time around a city community center with his grandparents, who teach classes there. Has probably stuck his nose into classes where he could meet your characters.
Avery doesn’t yet know anything about the magical knight stuff that his friends get up to—even though the primary reason he needed to come home involved cleaning up legal and financial affairs after his shitty, abusive father suffered a sudden, youma-induced demise.
Extremely opinionated about tea.
Has a Mercury Knight power-up planned, but……*waves hands* It’ll happen whenever I feel like it.
Elijah Suzuki: 23. Muri’s former drag brother (the breakup was only a side-effect of the purification, about which Elijah currently knows nothing).
Where Muri plays with a lot of ideas but does still usually stick to Queen Drag, Elijah dabbles in king drag, queen drag, ******** drag, and pretty much everything as long as he can make himself a beautiful monster.
They have Drama in common, though. Elijah has Big Feelings, all the time, and he will let you know.
He doesn’t believe that Muri “just went missing” and has conspiracy theories about it. You are advised to avoid asking him about any of this unless you want him to talk your ear off, getting increasingly unhinged in the process.
Most likely found distributing handmade zines all over town and hitting on your dad.
A senshi power-up is planned for this one, someday.
Huanjing Guo: 12 years old, a student at Knightside.
Takes violin lessons with her jiujiu, Kaifeng of Saturn. Knows about the magical adventures that Kaifeng and Helene get up to. Would much rather hear about those than the gross kissing junk those two do a lot of.
Cheerful. Gregarious. Loves pirates and soccer. Hates kissing junk and people asking her about which boys in her class she likes.
You have ten fingers? She has ten fingers! Let’s be friends!
She has a senshi power-up planned, but at this point? Not until she turns 14.
Hyacinthus Mercar: 27 and an “independent scholar” (i.e., unemployed but his trust fund finances his research projects).
He already has a PhD (in Philosophy, from NYU), but he’s starting another one at DCU in the fall.… No, see, this one is going to be in History, which makes it Really Very Different from his other PhD.…… Nuh uh, he is NOT making himself a permanent student in order to avoid anything. Your FACE is avoiding anything. Shut up.
In the meantime, he’s been trying to stay sober with mixed results. Primarily used alcohol and hydrocodone, but it’s easier to ask what he hasn’t used.
Every time he feels like he might be in a mental health crisis, he adopts a cat so he has a good reason not to hurt himself. He has seven cats and he isn’t allowed to fail them, ever. Letting himself down is totally fine, but he can’t let down his kitties, okay?
All of his cats are leash-trained and can use plastic push buttons to “talk” to him (play prerecorded words that more or less communicate their needs).
When it’s his turn to power up, he’s going to be a Moon Knight.
Lindsey Moran: 50 and still in a punk band. After a long, messy process, finally accepted himself as a gay man in 2023.
By day, Lindsey has a legit job at an advertising firm; he wound up in advertising mostly by accident but it pays the bills.
Proud dad to Aubrey, a 15-year-old Azure Valley student (rising sophomore). Amicably divorced from Eileen, his kid’s cool goth mom.
Two years sober from alcohol. A regular presence at the sobriety support group meetings at the Cherry Street LGBTQ+ community center.
Bassist, sometimes singer, and co-songwriter in a queercore band called The Auntie Flames (co-founded with his longtime best friend). Sonically, think Pansy Division, Green Day, Hole, Sleater-Kinney, and early Fall Out Boy.
Saturn Knight power-up planned for him someday.
Qiye Qinxiao: 31, started working as a therapist at a community clinic in spring 2025.
Selenga’s wifesband and Kaifeng’s favorite cousin.
If you’re a Knight, Qiye will probably Mom or Big Sister you if you stand still long enough in hir presence. Order senshi may also be subjected to this, but given Kaifeng and Selenga, Qiye has a bias for Knights.
Qiye has a planned Jupiter Knight power-up waiting for hir!
Simon Farkas: 35. A nurse practitioner at Destiny City Memorial Hospital.
He’s probably the most boring person in the universe and definitely not worth your time to be interested in.…… At least, this is true if you ask Simon.
In reality, he will do things like casually reveal something about how many languages he has studied (Hebrew, Spanish, Hindi, Mandarin, and Latin) in the middle of conversation and passive-aggressively fight an anti-vaxx parent, then expect you to continue thinking he is really very boring.
Dating Jaidev Vaswani/Captain Nagyágite. Is aware of the half-youma thing, if not exactly the full extent of what it means (half-youma existence is complicated, y’know?). Is also aware that Jaidev wants to fix it somehow.
Lives with his older sister Tabitha, her wife Rhonda, and an extremely ludicrous Borzoi named Benny.
Someday, when it’s his turn to power up, Simon will be an Ida Knight.
Yuki Tsukiyama: 34. Muri’s “best guy”/queerplatonic partner and one of the more regular stabilizing presences in his life who will tell him “Kiyoshi, no.” One of the only people who is allowed to call him “********,” and the one who first gave him that name. Anyway, Yuki is a video-gaming journalist with channels on Youtube and Twitch. Extroverted and chatty, adaptable and lets a lot of things slide pretty easily, but also very blunt while not being able to take what he dishes out, averse to being the one who has to fight for something, and oooooh, he needs to drop everything right now to play this French Revolution-themed fighting game to make sure their takes on Charlotte Corday and Camille Desmoulins are good. Because if their take on those characters are bad, ******** will be upset about it.
